Friday, October 31, 2014:
I attempted to sign up for FreeScore360's "free" credit report (according to the banner ad at the top of my Gmail page).
But first, this fraudulent firm extracted the following information from me:
- My email address:
- My post office box address.
- My social security number.
- My date of birth.
- My mother's maiden name.
- The state in which my social security card was issued.
Afterward, I was informed I had to provide a credit or debit card, which would be charged a "refundable processing fee" of $1. Additional information suggested I'd be given a "7-day free trial, " after which I'd be charged $29.95 per month. I declined their offer, and consider their offer for a "free" credit report from each of the major credit reporting agencies a bait and switch scam designed to extract sensitive information (social security numbers, mothers maiden names, etc.) from folks who fall for their fraudulent "offer."

Got into this Scam while looking for my credit Score. Now I have ended up with a charge on my Visa acct for something that is useless and NOT FREE.
I want out of this without anymore hassle or cancellation fee. I guess my only alternative is to cancel that credit card account or dispute those charges. I refund would be nice.

DO NOT USE THIS WEDSITE TO PROCESS YOUR CREDIT REPORT! They say its free score while that is NOT true! At the end they want you to put in a credit card so they can charge a 1.00 refundable fee. WELL that is not true! Later you will find that they charge other things in you account. YOU CAN REALLY GET A FREE CREDIT REPORT IN ANOTHER WEDSITE BUT NOT HERE! Last year I did use another website that NEVER asked for a credit card info. THEY SHOULD NOT ASK FOR THAT.
