I am extremely frustrated with how Freelancer.com has handled my account verification and suspension process.
Recently, my account was suspended immediately after I submitted my verification documents, despite providing every document exactly as requested. This is not the first time I’ve encountered issues with their verification process.
Previously, I was told my bank statement was rejected because it contained a P.O. Box address - in my country we normally use P. O Box for address. Taking their feedback seriously, I went to my bank, updated my address to a non–P.O. Box address, and obtained a fresh, stamped bank statement dated within the last 30 days - today.
After my account was suspended again, I uploaded the following documents for verification:
1. Bank statement – stamped by the bank and issued within the last 30 days
2. Government-issued ID
All these documents were clear, uncropped, and met every stated requirement, yet my account was suspended again without a no reason provided.
I’ve followed every instruction provided, corrected the address issue, and provided additional documents — but I continue to be penalized without explanation. Freelancer.com’s support has not offered any meaningful resolution, leaving my funds locked in the account with option to withdraw.
I am requesting that Freelancer.com:
- Provide a clear explanation for my suspension exact reasons why uploaded document is rejected (no general information) or offer an alternative way to verify my address to withdraw my funds, since I have exhausted all available options.
This experience has been deeply frustrating and unfair to an honest user who complied fully with their requirements. I hope this public complaint prompts Freelancer.com to review my case urgently and restore access to my account or funds.
