Fred Meyer Shopping experience

What business tells their customers they don't care about others essentially calling them bad people over the intercoms if we don't get an experimental gene therapy? Personal health is not your business and to assume everyone is the same is ignorant and antiscience. Your company disgusts me and I will never shop at Fred Meyers again or any Kroger owned business.

Desired outcome: An apology and to vow never to mandate or coerce medical products

Fred Meyer Gas

We have been waiting in line for 28 minutes for gas. 32 cars in line. 2 employees trying to handle both sides of the 2 islands open. 2 complete islands closed. This is so insane. Once u get in line, u doomed. No way out. Never will we come here again. It's always been our choice!
We finally got out of line. We are at Chevron. Unfortunately not our first choice

Fred Meyer Bad customer service

Customer service
while I was checking out a person in a wheelchair dropped a box. A worker laughed at them was pointing at them and when the person in the wheelchair looked up at them the worker waved to them as if they were a baby. She would not help then pick up their box I had to help them pick up the box. The worker was awful to them. This can not be going around. This was at Oregon City Fred Myers at 520ish

Desired outcome: For the worker to be fired.

Fred Meyer Hygiene Safety

Fred Meyer Wasilla's public restrooms are not up to any level of standards. The tissue rolls are on the dirty grimy floors, the floors are mopped using the same nasty mop water that's always sitting there in the hallway. Blood and feces smears are on the walls. The walls have never been disinfected in there. I've complained to the store manager but no one seems to care. It's filthy. I'd rather use the bathroom outside in the woods.

Desired outcome: Use clean mop water And freshen the restrooms

Fred Meyer Bananas

Your bananas were not considered fresh! In fact, they were too small as to be considered fresh!
I had tasted one banana that was bought from your company and they had tasted so terrible that I had vomited it up into the garden garbage container!
I would like to recall this fruit product and I would prefer bigger and fresher bananas, please.
Sincerely, Alec

Desired outcome: Bigger and Fresher Bananas

Fred Meyer Pick up order

I placed an online order on 3/23/21 about 6:30 pm. The amount was $128.26. I received an email confirming my order. I added a few items to my order for a total of $7.10. I went to pick up my order this morning and was handed a small bag of items, they were the added items. They tell me they don't have the bigger order. Yet you still have my $128.26. I called your customer service number, says it will take 7-10 days to figure out. I called my bank and they say you have my money. I'm in the store now and I am receiving no help. I'm told it will figure itself out. I've been waiting 1/2 hour for a manager.
I'm the mean time you have my $128.26 and I have no groceries. I need to buy food but unfortunately I don't have any more money to give you. I just want my groceries or my money back. Simple enough.

Desired outcome: My money back

Fred Meyer The rudeness of an employee at the meat department

I would like to report what I have experienced at the Fredmayers store at 2041 148thAve NE, Bellevue WA at about 11:48 am this morning (1/23/2021). The store customer service phone number is 425 865 8560.

I was at the meat department and asked for white shrimp. The employee at that department said that the same shrimp is in frozen packet in a freezer. I asked him if I cannot buy at the department from him and he said you can but the same thing is there showing his reluctance. Understanding him, I checked the freezer and decided that is not I wanted and I moved on for other things. Then I came back at a time there was absolutely no one at the meat department. The same employee was there and he saw me but did not want to come to serve me. He was absolutely doing nothing.

Few minutes later there was another customer came left of me and looking into seasoned fish. The same employee at the meat department came and passed me and went to the left and served the other customer. And after that the employee looked at me. I asked for a pound of white shrimp and I told the one marked as 4.77/lb. The employee said that price was with card. The price shown at the container at the top is 4.77/lb and the price marked at the bottom of the container is 6.99/lb. He gave me but the price matched neither of those prices but 11.99/lb. So I inqured and he said that the 4.77 was with card. I did not see 4.77/lb in the price on the package at all.

So I said I did not get it and asked again. There was another employee who has been working at the Fredmayers so long and very customer service oriented was watching our conversation and said that the 4.77/lb was with digital coupon. Then I left. I was hearing the rude employee who was yelling " that is not the price okay... by looking at the same place I was. There wasn't anyone there. He was essentially exerting his anger.

I would like to bring few things to your attention.

1. I have been a customer at this particular store for very long time and I never experienced Fredmayer fostering this culture or this type of services.

2. Treating people based on how they look is totally unacceptable.

3. A customer may be a leading attorney wo knows the law in and out and no one is going to put a label on them.

I would like to hear from you.

Fred Meyer Discrimination

I was discriminated against on fred meyers 3805 se hawthorne at approximately 9pm on 11/05/2020 by the cashier and manager "tim".

I had wine in my cart and gave the cashier my ecuadorian passport because i forgot my us id at home. She immediately looked at me suspiciously and kept looking at my passport until she told me it had expired in 2014. Tim then told me the passport had to be valid in order to be accepted.

I then realized they had looked at the wrong date and my passport was valid.
When i pointed they had made a mistake, the manager now argued that it had to be a us passport.
I knew for a fact that was incorrect since i passed an alcohol certification and educated him on the states alcohol regulations. He told me dismissively that those were kroger policies.
I asked him to show me the policy that he's referencing and thats when he came back with the book of policies for the store where it clearly stated any valid passport is a form of acceptable identification to purchase alcohol.
Immediately after he saw that line he closed the book and told me it had to be a valid us passport again.
This is where i knew i was being discriminated against because of my foreign passport and this person would not accept they were wrong.
I complained about this treatment and he just told me they didn't have to sell me alcohol and quote "do you know you can just buy alcohol anywhere else?".
He had a grudge with me for absolutely no reason other than racism and didn't want to be caught being wrong in front of 5 other staff that were just standing there and seemed annoyed that i disturbed their chit chat.

I filmed the book with the policies stating a valid passport is an accepted form of id and he told me i was making him uncomfortable by filming and told me to leave.
At no point was i rude or did anything that deserved this kind of treatment and discrimination.  i'm a soft spoken, 5'3 female trying to make sense why they were refusing the sale with no valid justification.

This person is just not trained to be a manager and clearly never even read their policies.
He made a call and was told to sell the wine to me. When i was paying i told him he needs to train the staff to avoid this discriminatory treatment and he told me " how many ecuadorian passports do you think we get around here?"

It's not only discrimination, he acted in a belittling and disrespectful way. His ignorance and lack of empathy are unacceptable.
I can understand the cashier making a mistake- or even the manager not knowing your store (or the state's) policies on valid id, but what i cannot understand is why after confirming with the policy book that the i was correct, he would still deny it so firmly and treat me badly in front of the rest of the store.

It was VERY disrespectful. I'm not so sure if it was actually racism or just stupidity on his part. Kroger employees, for the most part are a bit rude, and lack knowledge. But, it's because training comes from the top.

I was, for many years, a vendor of Fred Meyer. They owed my company over $20K and when I wrote to the CEO, he never answered, and we never received our payment. Their Accounting Dept is rude, the CEO is rude, so I am not surprised that the management is rude as well. I believe they do not train their employees well. And, their employees are always right, which is odd. It used to be "the customer is always right.

Maybe with your note, you have shamed Tim. One can hope.

Fred Meyer New web page

When I go on to the site to refill RX's I get a choice of 2 questions . #1 call my doctor #2 transfer from another pharmacy. I'm sorry this needs to a #3 refills.

Since last year when you made personnel changes, I have had a problem with a med that causes with drawl when not taken . I was almost 2 weeks without it and did not know it could cause this problem. When I called My DR he said the pharmacist should have known better that this would happen and given me a few to hold me over for what ever reason they could not fill it. Now I no longer get phone calls that my meds are ready for pickup, I have signed several permission papers for this to happen. Just like it did for almost 20 years. I have always been happy with F/M pharmacy until this new web site and Personnel happened .

Fred Meyer Stores should be closed when air index rates above 300

Current air quality in wa and or are so hazardous that businesses are closing to protect the health of their employees yet kroger remains open telling their employees its alright.
Please close these stores until the air quality changes.

Kroger remains committed to continually harming their employees by placing them in hazardous conditions with no support.
Management does nothing to try and help - and with the threat of being fired, employees are scared to say anything yet continue to cough and complain.

Currently in vancouver wa the air quality shows 363. Last night at 1130pm is was at 520.
The weather may change by sunday... Today is tuesday.

Fred Meyer Why are associates being treated like crap!

Hi, I am speaking up for all of the associates who work for Fred Meyers in Washington state and it seems that there are associates who are being bullied and picked on and banged up on other associates and this needs to stop, it seems they keep bulling and doing the same [censored] to an associate who works in the apparel department and they keep making her deal and put up with other customers and she has to put on the shoes that the customers want the associates to put on their feet, when the customers need to put the shoe on themselves, these associates are being petty and mean, and they keep doing this to her every Saturday, Sunday, Monday and fridays, so they are trying to get away with not dealing with these customers and this is not fair because they are trying to make things harder on these associates who are trying to do their best without other associates bullying them and teasing them and making them do there job. We should be dealing with associates who are deaf, are disabled and have to be in the associates way with using Mary karts and canes, this needs to stop, we are not home health care workers or nurses for these old people who have problems. Something is not right, I am surprised I haven't killed my self because of all of the [censored]ing crap that is going on in apparel in the shoreline area. They hire security guards who pick their nose and don't even do there job. Why can't this place be more stricter, and have more rules, why won't the president of fred Meyers give a dam, and help us out with being more stricter and responsible. It seems that certain associates Are sitting on there [censored] getting paid or hanging out with other associates in the break room not doing there job and not being responsible and they keep kissing up to other associates [censored]'s, and this is not fair, the shoreline Fred Meyer really needs to shape up or it should be closed down, I would like to see this store close down, because it is going to get worse if someone doesn't step up and do something or say something. They over work there associates and make them sweat to death, this is unfair, and there is too many foreigners who work at this location and there is a language barrier, that it is getting so bad. Mary in apparel is owed a big apology, because of how she has been treated and picked on and mocked, and making her do all of the work, nobody at this store gives a dam about her or anyone else, other associates want to not do their work while they go hide in the stock room, they are the ones who need to work there [censored] off and get sweaty and hot and they need to be on the floors to help the customers when they make Mary help the customers all of the time, and they give her a project to do as well and she gets bugged by all of the customers that it is not funny at all, I think everyone in Home, apparel, Haba and grocery needs to all be on the floor and limit the number of associates who hang out in the stock rooms. Also produce department associates needs to stop telling customers to go to Mary, this really needs to stop, everyone who works at this store needs to help all of the customers and help them and show them where things are, if someone is doing this as a joke to other associates then it won't be a laughing matter when someone ends up with a heart attack, and ends up in the hospital. Who cares if associates go to their union to [censored] and complain and if they have a lawyer, they don't need to brag or rub it in, they need to pull up their panties and deal with what they have to do at work, I am tired of all of the things that keep changing on us and surprising us because we were not told about It. So somebody is doing something or hiding something and they are getting away with it, they need to quit blaming Mary. It seems that someone only wants certain associates to know what is really going on and they leave every one else out. This is unfair. Everyone needs to treat everyone equally and be nice to everyone, quit being sneaky. Do you know what all of the stores need a big huge bombshell to land on every one, nobody is happy working at Fred Meyers, and nobody seems to care. So something needs to be done or else burn or close down the state.

I shopped at this location regularly for years. Once they remodeled this store, it really started going downhill. The employees often do not do their job due to language or mental barriers, or just plain laziness. I have tried to purchase from the deli and was told to pay for my purchase at another check stand so I told them forget it-I changed my mind and do not want the stuff after all. It is easy to see why this store has a theft problem. People go in, order something from the deli, and then walk out the store. Fred Meyer is losing lots and lots of money due to theft caused by their own mismanagement. I hope this changes for the better but I am not really holding my breath for that to happen.

Fred Meyer What is really going on at this shoreline fred meyers?

Hi, it seems that the shoreline Fred Meyer in Washington state, 98133 location has too many changes it seems that I can't shop for clothes in the apparel because me and my better half are shopping but instead we keep getting watch by these old women in the morning times, and it is just strange. There seems to be a lot of people who work in this apparel. I am hearing gossip that everyone that works in the morning goes out to drink coffee or hang out with there store boyfriend and not do there job and they make certain white apparel people work with the foreigners and they don't get along and there is a language barrier and this is not fair to the white people to have to work with the foreigners in apparel and cosmetics. It seems there is too much joking and mocking of certain white people in apparel and cosmetics and it seems that everyone that works at this store has to go up to a Mary and tell them all of there work problems and pick on her and mock her and bully her and it seems they are trying to make her quit and leave the store. People at this store needs to be careful and watch what they say and do yo other people who work here. Everyone needs to be on the same page and every one needs to know what is going on and needs to be told what to do and to do their job and keep there big fat mouth shut! Everyone needs to pull their weight around and do their job and quit hanging out with other associates and talking and gossiping about work. Customers need to respect and be nice to the associates. We should not be bullied or harassed and picked on by customers and we should not be ask questions every single minute of the day and Mary should not be ask certain sick and twisted questions that upset her every single minute at work, like where is the antacid or where are condoms and she shouldn't have to deal with sick and twisted telephone calls like what kinds of pajamas do you have and why she has to deal with someone's daughter who keeps calling looking for her mother every single day, this mother needs to deal with her daughter and tell her to stop calling for her mother everybody single day! Quit sending customers to Mary for help before she has to clock in and clock out, she should not be bothered at all, at the store, just leave her alone and let her work and let her clock in and out in time. I have filed a police report and if this keeps up I will take this whole store to court! This is no joke! This has got to stop! Or else!

Fred Meyer Too much bullying!

HI! I work at this location in Shoreline, Washington 98133 and it seems that I have been getting bullied and picked on every single day that come to work at this place, I am getting bullied alot in apparel and cosmetics, and this has not stopped, and it seems that Aneila Malano, and Elizabeth (Liz) Moore have been bullying associates and they want everything to go their way, it is not fair and this needs to stop. They treat associates like their slaves and make sure that they are the ones bouncing around and being a ping pong ball and what not. It has never been this bad at this location. It seems that there are too many special needs and homeless and people that steal at this store. This needs to stop or I will have to report this L and I and the police department. So something needs to be done or else. Thank you for your time.

Fred Meyer Pharmaceuticals

On April 4, 2020 I walked into a Fred Meyers pharmacy to pick up my dad prescription drugs and a lady helping me threw the medicine onto counter. She was very rude about answering my questions. Her attitude and demeanor was discomforting to work with. I confronted her about it and she denied doing so. There are cameras monitoring everything! Her name is Tiffany.

Fred Meyer Pharmacy practices

I am a physician who is retired due to a disability (so I have intimate knowledge of the inner workings of the medical/pharmacy systems). I went to fill a prescription yesterday at Fred Meyer, it was a "partial fill" of a prescription that I had filled there one month ago. The prescription was written for an amount larger than insurance would cover so the remainder was carried over in the form of a partial refill, which is a common and perfectly acceptable practice.
Insurance wasn't covering the partial refill so I informed the pharmacy I'd simply pay cash for it. The prescription was a controlled substance and the price they quoted me was $59. I immediately showed them the GOOD RX price, WHICH CLEARLY SHOWED THE EXACT MEDICATION, DOSE AND AMOUNT and FRED MEYER PHARMACY WAS THE FIRST LISTED PHARMACY, AS THEY HAD THE BEST PRICE OF $8.06! The pharmacy tech said they would not honor it as it was a controlled substance. I KNOW THIS TO BE UNTRUE AS I HAVE PAID CASH FOR CONTROLLED PRESCRIPTIONS THERE IN THE PAST AND THEY DID ACCEPT THE GOOD RX PRICE AS ADVERTISED! She reiterated that they would not honor the price, despite the fact it WAS VERY CLEARLY ADVERTISED AS SUCH, so I requested that she transfer the prescription to another pharmacy listed on the Good Rx app (the MOST expensive price of ANY listed pharmacy was $11.54) but she informed me that since it was a partial refill of a controlled substance that they could not transfer it. I informed the lady of this and in the background (not sure if it was a pharmacist or a tech) this guy seemed to make light of the situation and loudly remarked "Well I guess this is what happens when we have you by the balls."
I am requesting a refund of $48.93, the amount of money which I was forced to OVERPAY. My contact information is: [protected]@gmail.com and my cell# is [protected].
Thank you for your kind attention regarding this matter.
Sincerely,
J. Hunter Mafera MD, PhD

Fred Meyer I would like to know why it's still open during this "shelter in place" command.

The Starbucks counter at the Bothell, Washington, Fred Meyers is still open. And I would like to know WHY?
From reports I've recieved: The customers do not respect social distancing
mandates or sanitary measures concerning currency exchanges.
The employees have not been issued appropriate protection.
A Starbuck's counter in Fred Meyers is NOT a critical service and your disregard for human safety is a great concern!
The Starbuck's Corporation has stated they are very concerned about employee safety...do they know the jeopardy your Fred Meyers is placing their employees and customers in?
I believe this is serious enough to alert information and news networks about. It's been well-documented that many of the people who have Covid-19 aren't aware of it in the initial stages. Even if one infected person every three hours comes into the store/Starbuck's counter--there are not adequate measures in-place to protect other Customers or Employees.

Fred Meyer Customer Service/ Money Services

I was at my local Fred Meyers, waiting in line at Customer Services/ Money Services for well over an hour to do a return for a few items; 3.
My mother had asked me to return them, mind you this being the second or third time in my life returning something to Fred Meyers. Well the receipt wasnt in the bag. I want aware of a 50.00 dollar limit, nor was I informed before the lady proceeded to scan the three items. Well instead of telling me there was a 50 dollar limit, she scans all of it which was a little over 60 dollars, with a snarky tone to her voice, "oooops oh well, you went over the limit, come back in 90 days to try again."
You see that there is over 20 people standing in line, me already have been there over an hour, and I was supposed to know Fred Meyers return policy 100% down?
Just the way she spoke to me, and her demeanor was COMPLETELY condescending and very unprofessional. I felt completely embarrassed and the way she acted as if I was doing something either illegal or unbecoming was baffling. Getting off work, construction, doing a favor for my mom while out getting groceries lead into a completely agonizing experience. Yelp review was definitely not positive.
Hopefully someone can say something to this woman, who brought over the supervisor, around 5pm on 3/2/2020

Fred Meyer Unfair pricing that is concealed. Unfair advertising in store.

I have had more problems at the Hillsboro store on TV highway then I have ever had lately. I have shopped there for years. I attached a photo to show you their advertising. The paper and the sign where the chicken was said 50 Percent off. When I saw the yellow tag on the package and asked a helper in the store if this sign means 50 percent off the price circled in Red and she said yes. So I bought four packages but while going thru the checker stand it was busy and she was all by herself so did not pay attention to the register when I put it on my Fred Meyer Card. When I got home I noticed my bill seemed high so checked and saw they charged me for the priced in red. LOL why not buy on get one free? I went to the return desk and clerk said she could not refund me the money.

Another dissident that happened to me after Thanksgiving. I was shopping and in the freezer section there was a sign over the Turkey Breast that said 49cent per lbs. I bought two and noticed later they charged full price. When I went back to the clerk she said that sail was the day before and no longer good when I bought it.

I am 80 years old and can't watch for errors at the check out time.

What has changed at this store. I have older friends that said they have had the same problems.
