France Telecom/Orange Answering the English Line

Yesterday I spent hours trying to get through to this line, and today I tried again. I have hung on for an hour! after about 20 min an operator answered . I said I had hung this time for 20 min.. He said they were a mall team and cut me off. I immediately redialled and hung on for over another half and hour. It was not possible for me to continue with this, so I had to hang up. I tried so many tmies yesterday and hung on and hung for half an hour at a time. I dont know what my phone bill will be like! If this small team is so busy surely Orange have to employ more people to deal with their customers queries, or segregate the type of queries to more categories. At the moment there are two options for this. As it is the English line surely they must realize that the clients are calling from England and the calls cost a lot. .

2018 and it seems almost as difficult. Had always managed to have a polite sensible outcome to my phone calls when eventually answered . Today I had the most difficult experience from a French Orange male operative who cut me short, shouted at me, would not check back on last call re situation and said they were too busy and still shouting he cut me off . I had asked 3 times to speak to a supervisor and he said there was no point! Do they record customer calls for training purposes ? !

France Telecom/Orange Return of TV Decoder Deposit

On November 30, 2009 my internet/telephone account with France Telecom/Orange was cancelled by me and all their equipment returned (Livebox and TV Decoder) shortly thereafter in good condition. I have confirmation receipts from France Telecom/Orange. But thus far I have yet to receive back my 50 Euro deposit for the TV Decoder. Inquiries made by me at their Orange stores have produced no results despite promises that the 50 Euros would be deposited directly to my bank account. How long must I wait to receive my money? Has anyone else had this problem?

France Telecom/Orange No Assistance for tech problem

My fixed telephone line has a fault and seems 'occupied ' all the time. I cannot make or receive calls or use the internet.
I have called the 0800 'English' help line and spoke to a young man who recognised the propblem and noted it. He then said i HAD to call 1013 to report the problem When i eventually got through after many attempts and minutes of waiting the person told me i was not a client of FT.!

Why was I holding their bill?

Anyway this circus went on several times and i am still without a line. My bank statement clearly shows the direct debit from Ftelecom. Their website is useless and confuses everything back to ORANGE mobiles and Internet.

Iam really hacked off with them. The last time my line had a fault it took a month to organise a repair man to fix their line.

Is this really the only way I can complain about Orange France?
My complaint is the help line offered is is let's say a proverbial joke in regard to customer service.
1, Why are French people calling an English help line? Maybe the French service is even worse than this service?
2, Why after listening to a load of ... are you thrown out of the line because the support operators are all engaged? (Numerous times).
3, How come in 4 years the default wait time is 10 minutes, is no-one working on improving the service? Hate to think what the average wait time is on the French service lines.
4, Why do we have to listen to a lengthy 2-3 minute advisory for French customers on an English speaking support line? Would it not suffice to initiate the call with press 1 for English and 2 for French?
5, Where can One find the correct contact to make an official complaint? Maybe someone is praising the lack of complaints by not having offerring customers the opportunity to complain. Simply amazing!
6, The Operators are fine, but simply overloaded and lack patience, who wouldn´t be!

One month ago I bought a new French SIM from Orange because last year's is no longer valid . That cost me E 35
I had to hand in identification before it was inserted in the phone and it took 24 hrs to be up and running . 2 weeks later
I receive an email that I have to submit Identification or have my phone cut off . I handed in my passport as identification on 3 seperate occassions over the next 2 weeks as I kept getting the message.
My phone is still cut off and no-one can explain why . It is a rip-off, I have a large credit for time on the phone and Orange's solution
is buy a new SIM and start the process again. What a cheek and there is no-one to call as their lines keep saying phone again later !

In the first week of November we did not have a land line or internet. Orange had disconnected the wires on the poles outside the house for some sort of work on the lines. Using my Orange Mobile phone and having to wait 15-20 mins I quickly used up my monthly allocation with Orange. This continued over a period of amost three weeks! Most of the operators were okay and others basically said you were stupid! An engineer was to come but he did not bother to find the house even though I had left a huge sign on our Mail-box with our name and Orange. Finally the phone worked but could no connect to the internet. An appointment was made on the phone with a very snobby engineer. I told him that I had taken my computor to my expert and my laptop worked perfectly. My I Pad worked perfectly. The snobby engineer said that it was my computor and not the fault of Orange. He arranged for an engineer to come out December 2nd but he warned me that if it was my computor at fault I would have to pay. I consequently got my computor expert out this morning. He found that Orange had me connected to Hot Spot! Whatever that is and was definately the fault of the server. He corrected it somehow. I am really angry that Orange has the monopoly and are allowed to get away with anything they want. Where are the consumer protection rights. I only got 25 Euros off the bill! Please do not let them get away with the consumers rights.

Mid November 2012. We phoned (twice ) the English helpline and spoke to Thierry ? to inform FT that we were moving to the house NEXT door. we wanted a tel/internet connection to this house by the 27th Nov.2012. as we'd had in the prevous house. and to keep the same tel; No., Later a woman phoned us to confirm our request. Since when, we've been without telephone/internet for 4 Months ! We are in our 70s and fortunately, in good health luckily, as we live in an isolated area with no near neighbour. Wednesday the 20th MARCH 2013 we had a visit from a man who put in the interior point & cable. He said his sub-contract firm had only just been notified. ! (after 4 mths) Monday 25th March we had different men to re-attach the exterior cable. There is still a fault on the tel.line.though we do now have internet. But. for the 4 months we were not connected, FT still deducted the line rental from our bank account. Is there no other competitor to challenge FT's abominable service? Please tell if so.

I am going truly crazy with France telecom. Their English helpline is a joke! Whether you get Sophie or some guy - yes, nice and polite, but they both tell to ring 1014, who tells me to ring 1017, who tells me they cannot help me. The guy in the boutique tells me to ring 3901 who says ring 1014 - oooh la! Been there before. Then he tells me to ring 700 who tells me to ring 1014 who tells me to ring 1017! Is there an end to this rainbow of numbers? They sent out a tehnician who hadn't got a clue what he was doing and was so rude i complained to his company. That worked - but not on the admin aspect. They all tell me there is very good reason, Madame, why they cannot do anything. So - thanks to Connexion I shall go down the path of Complaints. It does not make a jot of difference if you are polite, appealing, weeping - they are diabolical.

Furthermore, Trying to get a customer service is a long wait and a waste of time. Sometimes, communication is not clear enough. When you finally get through, they are very unprofessional and other times, they'll hang up on you. This card is deceptive and the company is ripping us off. This needs to be addressed. I am extremely upset about this. This is my second time copmplaining.

I think buying Orange Mobile SIM calling card is just another way to waste your money in these hard times. I bought a fifteen minutes reload card to call JA. when I got connected they told me I have 30 mins. Within a minute of my call I was told that I have 0 remaining balance. When I call customer service they hung up on me. I called back 7 times before I was rudely told that it doesn't matter how what I can't get a refund cause I talk for 1 mins and there system is automated so I will have to buy a new card if I want to make my call. Never never again.

France telecom/Orange have been utterly dishonset with me, contracting to a poor service for over two years. The line continues to be disconnected every half hour, because France telecom are making people share phone phone lines [how prehistoric is that!] Oranges internet/phone service is a joke, ADSL is not capable of suppling every household with internet therefore if more than one house in village tries to use internet or phone the lines go down in the whole village. I am being charged over 6O euros per month for this service. I have now been told by France telecom Orange, its not cost effective for them to repair my line and I would have to move away from the village if I want a phone and internet service that works! NO refund, NO discount given. I ask what happened to EU funding that France telecom were given to ensure every household had working internet/phone by 2012?
