Ford ford ecosport ambiente 1.5 2016 model, vin: MAJAXXMRKAGR64596 , REG NUMBER:HSX 573 EC

I bought the above car in May 2016 and it was brand new from EASTERN CAPE MOTORS(EAST LONDON). It has continuously been taken to service in due intervals with Ford Agency. I replaced the battery in February the 28th 2020 after it was indicating that the battery needed replacement. In October 2020 the car started giving me problems of not starting/ starting when it wants to. This happened occasionally and whenever it fails to start it displays on the dashboard "SERVICE ENGINE NOW" with an amber icon on the speedometer screen which according its manual, the car must urgently be brought to the Ford agency. I would find someone to kick start it because I am a lady and I don't know how to do it. I phoned Eastern Cape motors to report the matter. They asked me to try bring the car to them so that their computer system may detect the problem. On the 12 November 2020 I took the car all the way from Libode where I stay to them and they checked everything including the battery and said everything was fine and also the battery was checked in a nearby battery centre and brought a slip that showed that the battery was tested and found to be new. They said they had tried to check even manually and saw nothing faulty with the car. they also told me that they had updated the system of the car in case it was the cause.

They gave me the car saying that if this occurs again I should bring the car and leave it with them for two or more days so that they thoroughly check this again. It continued doing the same thing until I took it to them on 14 December 2020 and left it with them. To my surprise they called me to say that there was nothing they could do with the car because the cause for this is the battery and for them to check the car I should buy a new battery. the big QUESTION now is why? if the battery is the problem here, how come that sometimes the car starts on its own and fails when it wants to? this shows me that the car is being attended to by a LAYPERSON like me. it is only 70 000 KM mileage now.
I depend on it even for work purposes and I am paying an instalment without a car, is this car designed to be like this, can I recommend that someone must buy from FORD products? If the manufacturer fails to detect the problem of its own product, who else must do it?

I NEED URGENT RESPONSE.

Ford 2016 Ford F150 Lariat

Chrome PVD Peeling off Wheels: When I purchased my 2016 Ford F150 in June 2020 as a used car from Performance Ford, Bountiful Utah the chrome on the wheels was in very good shape. The vehicle had 45, 837 miles and we purchased a Complete Extended Warranty ($2700). The tires at that time had about 10, 000 miles left on them. When I had new tires installed in October 2020, the chrome on all four wheels flaked all around the edge of each wheel. I was told by the installer that this was a very well known issue with Ford PVD wheels and that there was a recall for this. I searched the internet for the issue and found a profound number of people complaining to Ford and on other forums about this very issue with these wheels I have found no evidence of a recall.

I phoned Performance Bountiful Ford service and spoke with Mike, who said they had never heard of the issue and also that our warranty didn't cover it. I'm writing to you in the hopes that you may provide me with a path to solve this issue.

I've attached photos of the F150, the undamaged rim when we purchased the vehicle, and examples of the peeling when we had the tires replaced.

Ford Warranty repairs

I have 3-2019 Ford F-450 trucks (used to pull hotshot trailers) in my business. On September 14th 2020, the transmission went out on one of the trucks in Jackson MS. I have the Ford Premium Maintenance plan and bumper to bumper warranty for all my trucks up to 150, 000 miles. This truck has 143, 000 miles.

We were able to limp it over to Grey Daniels Ford in Brandon MS. I was told 3-5 days to look at it. It took almost 1 month to get it into the shop. All the while being told that they were constantly moving jobs out of the way to get my truck into the shop due to it being a fleet truck (clearly that did not happen)! It then took over a week to get it onto the lift and remove the transmission, diagnose the issue and determine it was, in fact, the transmission. I was told they needed to do a cost cap analysis and that Ford would come look at it to determine the repair route. A week later Ford decided to repair the transmission instead of replacing it. They said it was a $3000 savings by doing this. Cool. It has the same warranty (1 year unlimited miles for either, I was told). After all was decided I was then told they had almost all the parts to get it done... Almost... They were missing a nut or bolt and the internal seal kit for the transmission...

Today is December 4th 2020 and my truck is still sitting in mississippi! There is no eta on parts and no estimate for repairs to be completed. We filed a complaint with ford and were told nothing could be done until the repair was completed.

This truck was 35% of my revenue. That driver was out of a truck and I had to pay him partial salary to sit home. Once back from my trips, I gave that driver my truck and I sat home idle. We are coming up on 90 days at the shop... Between monthly payments, loss of revenue, insurance costs, payroll, etc. I have lost almost $100, 000. I was unable to pay my insurance and it cancelled. I let my drivers go and parked the 2 other trucks and trailers. I worked a deal with the insurance to pay $5K and only have my truck and trailer insured and was back on the road after 10 days of nothing. I then had a $5600 insurance bill due in 9 days or it would cancel again. I borrowed $5K from a friend and paid it. Then I ran one trip for 9 days and parked the truck. My old driver bought my trailer and is trying to take over that truck for himself and I had to go get a job as a lease driver in trucking, delivering onions! My wife was forced to get a job after 12 years of working for my company in the office. This week my wife and I retained a lawyer and are filing Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Had Ford agreed to replace the transmission, the truck would have been out of the shop 4 days after deciding that. Now, instead... I am ruined, bankrupt and, after over 14 years, working for someone else! This is a sad story with no positive outlook. When that truck is finally done I will have that finance company go to Mississippi and get it. My trailer is still in their lot with no way to get it back to Texas, and trying to sell that or give it back also.

I am looking into a lawsuit against Ford for allowing this truck, a fleet truck, to sit and try to save some money. There are no parts, there is no way to resolve this (according to Ford) until the truck is fixed and yet I am out the actual cash to make payments, lose everything and now be bankrupt.

I would like 3 months of payments ($1100 a month) returned to me. I would like the cost of that trucks insurance ($2300 a month) returned to me. I would like the lost payroll ($25000 combined) returned to me, and I would like to have Ford take that truck back and cure the debt associated with it.

Ford Spare parts availability

Hello Sir,

I own a ford focus titanium 2018, my incident is simply i need to change car battery but it's not available in the maintenance center.
and they told me that i have to wait one month and half so they can get abroad.

i have parked my car at center since 5th of November and i have to wait till 15th of December to get the car fixed, with crossed fingers for no other delays.

Hope you understand that this really unacceptable by any mean, to wait one month half because of the battery only.

Thanks

Ford Won’t honor extended warranty they sold me

Do not buy the extended warranty they will not honor it
Scamville ford... They will not honor the warranty I got scammed into purchasing with my vehicle... The service women are rude and disrespectful. I was scammed into buying extended warranty - they say it covers everything however they charge you to diagnose it. What a joke!
Do not get any extended warranty through them... Scam waste of $3, 000.
I had multiple issues they wanted to charge me $176 for each issue to diagnose and won't know if it's covered under the warranty until after they pull apart the car. So basically $1000+ bill no matter what because they won't honor the warranty.

Of course close to the end date of warranty I brought it in to get fixed - a few issues happened, first off they want to charge me $176 per issue to diagnose before letting me know if under warranty, second they won't know if it's covered until they pull the car apart... I feel so scammed that the salesman almost forced us to buy the "extended warranty" we bought the best one.
Also beware they won't tell you if you have a warranty... And if you lay out money to fix good luck trying to get a refund for an item that is covered under warranty. My door handle broke off payed $500 to get it fixed-husband freaked when I got home says we have warranty. Sayville never mentioned the warranty I had to search my paperwork and prove I had a warranty. Save yourself don't buy or fix a car here. They are a scam and dishonest, the service department representatives were very rude and condescending. I will
Never buy a car here again actually i'll
Done with ford period. After a lifetime ford customer this finally did me in.
I feel so scammed and violated.

Ford Stock wheels on 2017 ford f150 lariat

I purchased a 2017 Ford F150 Lariat from Maryland Ford Dealership and I purchased the Ford Protect Warranty Premium care upgrade for CPO April 6 2020 at 38, 700 miles and was told it was bumper to bumper but that was untrue. Just this month Sept. 2020 I noticed the driver's side wheel was peelig in three spots. I called the warranty company and they said I would need to take the vehicle to the ford dealership. I did and after 3 hours they said this was cosmetic and was not covered under the extended warranty and the bumper to bumper warranty expired at 36, 000 miles. There appears to be a proble with these wheels and it is a shame tha Ford does not stand behind the product because the issue does not always show up prior to 36, 000 miles. I also think it is shameful that they claim everything is covered except routine maitenence when it is not. Thanks very much.

Ford Paint peeling on 2016 explorer

We purchased a new Ford Explorer in December 2015 from Coggin Ford in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2020 we have noticed paint blistering all around the outside of the hood as well as underneath the hood. We have since learned that this is a well documented problem as it is admitted in several Technical Service Bulletins issued by Ford. So far at Coggin Ford in Jacksonville we have been unable to receive satisfaction for this problem. We are seeking a repair for this problem from Ford at any local dealership.

Ford Bad repair service

On 27 January 2020 I sent my car for service at Ford Umngeni In Durban. On 12 February 2020 my car had an engine failure and I took it to Ford Umngeni for repairs. The lock down brought every thing to standstill and my vehicle couldn't be repaired during that time, that understandable.

it been 7 months still my car is not fix, so I decide to tow my car away from them because seemly they are not interest to repair it and my insurance has already authorised them to fix it. When I cam to tow my car, I cam with the mechanic to check if everything was still there and to my shock we discovered that many parts such as battery, alternators, turbo, pistons, crank shaft, aircon compressor and many other major part were missing from my vehicle and could not be accounted for. I have been sending them emails and call them but they are not attending my matter. I am now in a situation where my insurance rejected the claim because there are major parts missing from my vehicle. If any one could asset me please contact me on [protected].

Regards

Ford Eco sport titanium

In 2016 I bought a Ford Eco Sport Automatic and from then I had problems with the gearbox/clutch. It was sent back a few time and 09 January 2020 I went back as there was a problem again with the gearbox. It is 19 August 2020 and they have sitl not resolved the problem. They also sent me a letter saying that the part the broke is not covered under the warrenty and I need to pay all the costs of the repairs/replacement. They are letting me use a courtesy car (Ford Figo Manual) apparently that is all they have, which is not ideal for me as I had a left leg operation and that is why I have anautomatic car. Please will Ford SA buy the car from me (or replace it), so that I can purchase another vehicle that is suitable for my needs. It is 7 months of waiting. This is really ridiculous.

Ford Fiesta

I purchased a 2015 Ford Fiesta two years ago because it was good on gas, low miles, And fairly priced. I have had several incidents where the car began to shudder, slip, hesitate and delay acceleration. My issue with Ford is they knew of all the issues this particular model was having and still sold these cars. I am now having all of the warning lights on my dash light up one minute and the next they are off. When they are lit up I am unable to drive the car. I am a single parent that works 7 days a week to provide for my family and can not afford to pay my car note, my other monthly bills, and continue to fix this car. I have contacted Ford and have basically been told there is nothing that can be done. All over the Internet you can find complaints about this model and they resemble mine. According to the car fax 7 months after the car was manufactured the transmission was replaced. After several unsuccessful attempts to file a complaint directly with Ford, I have decided to reach out to any and everyone that will listen. Companies should be penalized and held accountable in situations such as this! Clearly this car has been plagued with issues and something should be done! I will now have the remaining balance from my loan (that isn't covered by the sale of my car) added to my new loan. I will now end up paying more in interest charges on the new loan.

Ford Windshield

I have a 2016 XLT F-150. I bought it in 2019 with 25, 000 miles an in immaculate condition. It's a great vehicle, though not as good as the 2004 model I had for 15 years. What's the problem? The windshield. I have gotten 8 chips in it this year alone- it can't take even the slowest rock without breaking. I get chips at 20, 30, 40. 50+ mph. It is by far the worst windshield I've ever had. My 2004 had a total of 3 chips in 15 years. Ford needs to spend a few more bucks and put decent windshields in their vehicles. This is my fourth Ford truck but it may be my last.

Ford Fiesta brakes damaged by ford workshop and they still haven't been repaired 4 months later 4 months later

Mekor Ford - Claremont Cape Town
On the 21st of February 2020 I dropped my vehicle of at Mekor Ford in Cape Town for an assessment and repair on the braking system after discovering that the brakes don't work. I received a phone call from Shaheed [protected]) at 12:19 that same day but could not take the call given that I was in class at UCT. I called the number back during my lunch break and spoke to Shaheed (he had sent me a text message saying he called).

Shaheed informed me that the assessment done on the car revealed that the automatic braking system (ABS) had been damaged by using the wrong lubricant in the brake fluid pump. He informed me that further tests would need to be done on a sample of the fluid to get the exact type of fluid that was used but at that stage the technician suspects that it's engine oil. He further mentioned the estimated costs to drain the lubricant from the damaged ABS, I just can't remember the amount he quoted.

I then explained that I'm not a car technician nor a mechanic and would never have tampered with brakes, the engine or any lubricants relating to my car. The last institution that was responsible for my car was the Ford dealership in Woodmead where I had the last service done (on the week of the 28th of November 2019), the brakes were also replaced last year at Fury Woodmead and they had also replaced my engine which had collapsed due to a factory mechanical fault.

Fury Ford - Woodmead
I then tried to contact the service advisor that I use to book and facilitate my car's services and repairs through at Fury Woodmead (her name is Palesa). After struggling to get through to the switchboard and Palesa, I managed to call the car salesman who sold me the car at the same dealership in 2016 (Farai Mahara - [protected]); I informed him about what had happened to both the engine and the brakes and how my life had been put in danger on two occasions now by this faulty car. He referred me to the head of the service department - Rika Howland [protected]), email: [protected]@fury.co.za

I called Fury Woodmead again, got through to the switch board and spoke to Palesa, I explained what had happened, asked her to escalate it to Rika, which she did. Rika called me and asked for the service advisors details at Mekor Ford - I passed on Shaheed's contact details. She called Shaheed and called me back to confirm that Fury Woodmead would cover the costs of the drainage/repairs that were outlined.

Further correspondence from Ford
Following the above-mentioned events, the next update that I received from Mekor Ford was another phone-call I can't remember if it was from Shaheed or another staff member but this phone call was to confirm that the ABS was severely damaged and that the estimated costs to repair this was now around R36 000. I informed them that I was not responsible for the damage and will not be held accountable for any costs and that I had spoken to Fury Woodmead about this situation so why were these amounts being told to me?

The next correspondence I received was a text from Mekor Ford thanking me for my support on the 4th of March 2020 at 10:06.

I then called Mekor Ford a week later to ask why there was no communication or correspondence and to get clarity on what the status of my car was? I spoke to Shaheed and asked him why I wasn't offered a courtesy vehicle given that I'm now taking public transport and why I wasn't called back with feedback after a week? He informed me that he's been away on leave and thought this car was long sorted out. He said he would investigate the status of the repairs and call me back: needless to say, I'm still waiting for his call today (6th of July 2020).

I then flew up to Johannesburg and managed to see Rika at Fury Woodmead (on either Monday the 16th or Tuesday the 17th of March 2020) I can't remember the exact date but it was one of those two days given that I was supposed to fly back to Cape Town on Monday the 16th. While I was in her office, she tried to contact Mekor Ford and she couldn't get through to the right person after being told that they were on lunch, she too became frustrated with them and asked to speak to a service manager to escalate the poor service and complacency. She told me that she'll investigate it and get back to me as soon as she's spoken to the manager.

Following this, I emailed Rika on the 19th of March 2020 (screen shot of email I sent is pasted in this email) asking her what was the progress with my car following her investigation or conversation with a manager?

She didn't call me back, the country went into the Nation-wide lockdown.

Post-level 5 lock-down
I received an email from Rika on Friday the 15th of May 2020 at 13:27 after she had struggled to get hold of me on my mobile phone (screen shot of her email is attached in this email), I responded as soon as I could informing her that I was on zoom calls that day and was not available on my mobile phone. I also received a call from Mekor Ford that week informing me that they are now open again and will continue "investigating" the situation with my car.

It's now the 6th of July 2020, over 4 months later and I don't have my car. I've incurred 5 months of vehicle financing and insurance costs towards a car that's parked at Mekor Ford in Cape Town, I have not received a phone call or a follow up email, no correspondence or a courtesy vehicle from Ford South Africa. I'm extremely frustrated and disappointed in the manner that this matter was handled. My life was put in danger by a technician in the service department who damaged my brakes and now I'm left in the dark with no car yet I'm paying monthly.

As outlined above, I am now of the view that I have been short changed badly by Ford through the negligent acts of the employees. I would appreciate a speedily conclusion of this matter either by giving me another car or refunding me. I am now extremely anxious at the very thought of driving this car again as clearly I have twice been placed in a position of danger.

Ford 2017 ford escape

I purchased a preowned certified Titanium Escape from Tomball ford with 11K miles on it. I was told it was traded in by a lady that did not like the car. I now have 32K miles on it all hiway miles and the apint is flaking/peeling off the windshield/door post both sides. It appears to be a cheap made clear plastic strip beneath the paint that was obviously not treated/prepped properly to allow the factory paint to adhere to the cheap plastic. This is a prime example of why American's drifted away from buying American Made. There is absolutely no escuse for this type of workmanship. Pure Bad Quality!

My steering assist light came on and immediately I lost my steering. I could have been killed, killed my granddaughter or another driver. I see there are recalls for this up until 2013. But I have seen thousands of post that this has happened to other people. They need a recall asap. And I want them to repair mine NOW. This happened yesterday and luckily I was able to get the car pulled over . I have ALWAYS owned fords. But if they don't fix it, I have no problem going to a chevy. They should have had a recall on this already!

Ford 2016 ford transit van

Multiple visits to dealerships in the past 3 years, multiple recalls on driveshaft coupler, EGR, DEF you name it. The EGR has been replaced 2 times, the third time it went out it causes total engine failure, requiring that the engine be replaced at my cost. Was told that the head gasket that blew was the cause, the gasket blew because the vehicle over heated, the vehicle overheated due to EGR failure, but no one will admit this. Now every sensor problem possible is going wrong and needs to be replaced. When will this end, I want ford to make this right. How does this happen. Called CS and was asked what did I want, inquired about FORD buying the vehicle back from me or making this right. Was told the FORD could not buy back this vehicle because of it age and mileage. Then why ask me if this is what I wanted if it could not be done. I am still paying for this vehicle and now with the issues and costs I will be paying for it for a long time. I have reached out to ford again multiple times and no one will return my calls. I don't trust this van anymore after leaving me stranded multiple times, I don't trust the FORD company anymore, as well as the service departments. Please suggest what to do next. I will be reaching out to a lawyer about this.

Ford Ford f150 lariat 2015.

I have a ford f150 lariat 2015 with 20 inch chrome wheels whichall four are peeling. I had the orginal tires replaced at 35, 000 miles but in 2019 which made the warrenty expire. The tire dealer notified me of this problem. Since the tires didn't need replaced until after the warrenty ended there was no way to know of the problem existed.

I feel ford should replace these wheels at no cost. There have been many other cases posted throughout the internet with the same problem.
