Fling.com redirecting my internet

we never visited this site, and have not downloaded any software from the web.

This site keeps coming up, opening new browser or tabs without any action from us.

We have changed browsers since we understand that IE has security holes these sites may exploit, and even with firefox, this site keeps coming up every few minutes.

We have it blocked, but of course the blocker interrupts us every few minutes because this site keeps trying to come up!

Something has went as far as to corrupt all the recovery files on our machine.

The virus checker is not finding any anything to account for all this.

someone help!

I signed up for fling on the 20th due to the e-mails i was receiving thinking that all these girls liked my picture. so I signed up and did the monthly service deal. so I'm sending messages to women for 5 days and none of them were like the website insisted or rated me cute game etc. So after 5 days i cancelled and i called to get a refund and was informed there is no refund. that is bs the website is horrible and not worth 34.95 can you believe that ?

Fling.com faked user ids and pictures

Fling.com provably fakes search results, implying pretty girls are waiting for you in your geographic area. For example, their opening page shows a list of pretty girls under the title Search Results, and today includes a "Beth" in United Kingdom. Beth is listedwith a picture of the back a pretty young girl. Since I had already paid and signed up I can search by username and find that the only "Beth" userid in the uk is actually a male (probably a nice chap, but I'm looking for girls!).

This isn't someone elses website making a mistake with their own photos - this is a test I can do against fling's own front page http://www.fling.com/4/?prg=1&id=cwgroup and it stinks - it's fraudulent in my opinion and they have taken money under false pretences.

Avoid this site unless you want to get ripped off.

Does anybody know how to contact the UK customer services for this site, as I have been informed they have a profile set up using my picture and offering 8 other photos rated r- x rated which I have not authorised. I didn't even know this site existed until i was recognised which has caused me a great deal of embarrassment. I have emailed the company but received no help and was given a contact number that is not a UK number, any help would be appreciated.

First off, i want to say that i'm not someone that advocates these dating sites and the times i've been on them i never really intended to used them to meet anyone, (mostly just to look at the hot pics). but i have heard horror stories about people getting douped like Sara above (sob story asking help with relationship offer attached, etc, etc.)

form what i've heard this is the kind of thing that is common on these online dating sites, but they are also common in the real world off the net relationships to. dont feel like your the only one thats been scammed or that its the internet aspect that screwed you over.

If anything you should realize one thing, its not the site that is on there to scam you. these sites are actually there so we lonely people might have a chance to find someone. not to say they dont want to make a quick buck from it, but the main scam they have is they lour you to there sight with flashy advertising and sexually suggestive material making oyu think this is the only way you can meet anyone, when you could just go take a nice walk or go shopping and meet someone in your area. Personally, as a man i would be exsatic if a atractive women walked up to me and said, "Hi, my names XXXX< whats your's. care to take me out for lunch." Maybe i'm a doup and would take the girl out and buy her food and not get anything out of it but a 15-20 minute convo with a girl that is just using me for a free meal but you never know, shrug.

Well, in close, I meet my current gf on one of these sites. I wasn't even looking for a gf. or i should say i didn't exspect to get one from the sight, but i payed for it on a promotion for a year and ended up getting a lot of junk, but in the end i also got a mail from my gf who i hit it off with. we have now been together for 7 years (not married yet, but we might as well be)... not to say that your going to get that real person that's not out there to scam you, but if you look for it you might find a realtionship that will work out just like you would in the real world. only diffence is you can meet alot of people online vs the few that happen to be in the market when you go shopping/man hunting .

I don't want to mention the dating service I used but I was scammed big time, 3 different men. I really was not scammed by the last two I learned my lesson from the first one.

He had me send him clothes, shoes, and such. It was about 600.00 worth of stuff, but that didn't count them money it took me to send it to where he was. Gave me a sad story of how he was a person who lived in N.J. and he had to go to Africa about his business and got mugged. I guess I was very lonely that would only be the reason I could account for me doing what I did. Anyway I had this guy checked out by a Det. I knew with all of the addresses I had and there was no such person.

He promised me this and that, sent me 2 dozens roses, bears and more flowers and another bear. What woman wouldn't want to get these things.

Found out it was one of those African con artist group. Two or 3 others tried to do about the same thing, they would call me and you know they all sounded the same and they were suppose to be from different places.

I tried other dating lines and met some nice guys from closer to where I lived at the time. But I am now with a man I met and we have been together for about 6 or 7 months now. So there are some good guys left out there. Just watch your p's and q's is all I have to say. Check people out. These scam groups will trade off and give to someone else later also.

I was recently billed by these people and couldn't get any info about the company or what it was for. Then I found this site:- billingservices.com simply type in your Email address and surname and it will tell you what you so called signed up for, it even gives your user name and password for these sites. Then log into the site and cancel your membership.
Aparently I had signed up for 'Fetish hotel, videofly and XXX nymphos' YEA RIGHT! no way would I have signed up for these, so I entered the site (yes somehow I was a member) and cancelled my 'membership' Capitol one is also sending me a form to claim back the 3 amounts taken from my account.
Lesson:- Clear PC cache regularly and delete keystrokes so they cannot steal this info from you again!

Fling.com They charged me without I know anything about it!

I have been charged in 16/04/2008 with this amount $59.95 (£31.41).I didn’t know anything about it till I find it out when I did check up my Credit Card online. It shows that the company GPNETHELP.COM churched me without even let me know why. Now I have to check the previous months, perhaps they have done it for long time as long I see many complains for this company from other peoples around the world.

I hope that I will get paid back for this one day but one thing is for sure, NEVER CREDIT CARD ANYMORE.

Ok, the only way to unsubscribe is by calling their support hotline. It should be free, but I'll find out if I get a bill from that soon. It is [protected]

Tell them what you want: You want to cancel your fling.com subscription

They will offer you another trial subscription. Say no and make sure that you say you do not wish to remain a customer and you will make no further purchases. That way they can't misunderstand.

After that, they'll tell you that the subscription is cancelled. Make sure with the support person that there will be a confirmation email sent for Fling.com cancellation. I got my cancellation email. I'll also be calling the bank to keep an eye out for unsolicited charges to my account. I'd advise you do, too. Hopefully, this will get you out of the nightmare. Good luck!

P.S. please be nice to the support person. They're not directly related with Fling, but I'm sure they get all the flak for it. It'll also keep them from "misinterpreting" you out of spite.

Fling.com online scam!

I just wanted to add that this company, should be banned from operating. I agree with many of the reports already put forward. I too signed up in a weakened state and found that most of the contacts are nothing more than scam artists. All you need do is take a look at the photos of many of the girls and it soon becomes apparent that they are duplicated many times. I spoke to Zetsuna who has many aliases and she was an alleged local lass, but it turned out that she was nothing but a scam girl oops cam girl. I don't even believe that it was a girl, the way that the messages were written seemed to be more male than female.

I had her MSN details and contacted her via MSN. I too smelt a rat at this stage and so I did some investigatory work. I had signed up to a 7 day trial which I have now canceled though I haven't received a cancellation notice as the site said I would (funny that). Any way after chatting to several girls it now appears that there is nothing to gain from this site. The only chance of relief is the money taking from your credit card account.

Steer well clear of this scamfest. This site needs to be closed as soon as possible.

Its funny how far these girls would go to get money from you. I got bored so I kept talking to this one chick. I knew she wasn't real because I google imaged her photos and found out it was a duplicate. I had time to kill so I played around with her. After a couple of hours of her explaining her back story, I called her out and she stopped messaging

Fling.com Online scam!

I recently noticed a charge on mine & my husbands joint checking account online statement for $34.95. I called our bank and told them neither of us authorized this charge, they told me we would have to WAIT for it to actually post before we could dispute it. After googling this site, I see they are ripping hundreds of people off nationwide with fraudulent charges of $9.95 and $34.95. Someone had posted this phone # [protected] so I called & spoke to a rep that told me this was just a billing company & after I gave her some brief info, she said the charges would be refunded to our account & our cc info would be blocked, but I am still going to get new bank cards for me and my husband. This is an outrage and why hasn't anyone stopped these scammers by now? I plan on contacting the Ky attorney general's office and the local BBB to report these people!

I was scammed too, I just got a call on Wed from my Fraud prevention card services and they read me the same charges, the charges had already been approved but something must have flagged them to call me to verify. Now i am disputing them through my bank who is always so wonderful to assit, but i agree this is an outrage, and What can we do about it? I am very upset that someone has done this to me, and you and your husband as well as others, lets get them shut down! Let me know what i can do to assit!

Fling.com Fraudulent Charges

Noticed 2 charges from GPNETHELP.COM 2/25 still pending, called my bank to have payment blocked before transactions completed, I was told nothing could be done as long as they were pending, had to wait until they posted! This is why these people & companies continue doing this, they get our money and move on to the next victim. Why can't the bank block payment to these jerks? Now I have to fill out a bunch of paperwork for the bank and prove that these charges were not mine, an investigation has to take place before I get my money back! And GPNETHELP.COM skips along with $44.92 removed from my account. I am very angry...

Four days ago I noticed I had a charge for $9.95 for GPNETH so i called to find out what the charge was for only to find out that a profile was setup for some odd website which i never heard of or visited. Also, it took them quite a while to figure out where this accoount was set up. Then, they told me i would be receiiving another charge in a few days for $34.95 for the monthly membership. I immediately told them to cancel whatever membership was setup as well as reverse the charges. Well, today, the $34.95 charge also went through so i called my bank to dispute the charges. This is the second time something like this has happened and I just recently opened new accounts at my bank. This is absolutely ridiculous and someone should be held responsible for these fraudulent charges!

Yeah, I have just opened my credit card bill, and noticed this GPNETHELP.COM for 49.95, with a fone number next to it, [protected]. I now recall seeing it appear a couple of times now, but I do not remember what it is, or ever signing up for anything of this name.

Is the only way to stop this to cancel my credit card and get a new one so this company can't carry on then?

Just got a call from the credit card company, GPNET.help.com tried to post a debit of $34.95 for "escort services" to my account. I had to close my account, the whole enchilada. I have had that credit card since 1988, dang it! Anyway, these people are still active so the more of us who advertise this scam, the better. I told the woman from the credit card company who called that for $34.95, the escort service couldn't have been too high class!

I think we need to contact our local media news stationed to do an investigation. I have the last 7 months of bank charge statements and 34.95 from gphelpnet.com is charged on all of them. Again, my husband was told he signed up for an "online dating services", come on now, enough of the BS! I will now wait for my next month bank statement to see if REM (the lady I spoke to at [protected]) is going to hold up to promise of "cancelling the membership and refunding us the last 7 months @ 34.95/month".

Fling.com Unauthorized charges!!!!

Mystery charges form this company, one for 34.95 and one for 9.97 showed up on my credit card. They quickly refunded the money when I called but from searching google this is a typical scam by this company. Not sure how they got my credit card though so I canceled it with the credit card company.

I had the same problem, $34 every month off my credit card and i live in the U.K, i phoned them up and told them in no uncertain terms i would be taking this matter further, they put me on hold and said they would reimburse me for the past 6 months, i dont think they are hardcore scammers but they certainly try it on. Wankers.

Yes I had been charged 34.95 for 7 months before I noticed it. I phoned and after a lengthy wait I talked one of their people who said I signed up to Fling dating service - I never did! I was surprized - I have no idea how they got my number! They mentioned they would reimburse 104.00 but I will have to wait and see - in the mean time I had my credit card number changed - it will accept credit but will not accept debits. You are responsible for your credit cards - I slacked off and am paying the price! Now I will check every month for any fraudulant charges! BEWARE! This is a racket - probably organized crime - SO be smart - cancel your credit card! I am also writing to Fling to let them know they are being used as a front!

I have the exact same charges on my account, 02/13/08.
I have done nothing online with credit card so this is even a bigger mystery, I can't help but think some bank data was lost or something. does anyone else with the same ripoff use SunTrust bank? Also what about Redbox DVD at McDondalds, anyone rent any movies from there? That is as close to an online purchase that I have made.

I am currently in the Portland, Oregon area, I am just curious to see if we can narrow down this ripoff.

Fling.com Unauthorized charge!

GPnethelp.com made 2 charges to my credit card. one for 9.99 and one for 34.95. When i called the co to ask what the charges were for they said i signed up for a dating service. I told them i have been married 35 years and didn't think so. lol. They very quickly said they would cancel the membership and credit my account.

I called my credit card co and told them and they advised i cancel the card and get a new one which i did. I don't know how they got my card number that was the scary thing. I guess ill have to be more careful of who i deal with online. When i went on line to look up GPnethelp.com i immediately noticed some fraud alerts. Thanks to this site and the people on it i learned a good lesson.

I realized lately that I have been charged 34.95 per month since Jan. "08 by GPNETHELP.com. My wife nor I authorized these charges. We had to change our credit card to avoid more billings. Our Credit Card company could only refund up to 60 days fraudulent charges. I guess I'm out of $134.80.

They (GPNETHELP.com) must have picked my card up thru internet purchases during the XMAS holidays.

Beware!

There are three unauthorized deductions from my credit card of US$4.95, $9.97, & $27.28. These were made on the 18th & 22nd April. I have never dealt with this company and have no idea how they got my credit card details. Being in Australia it makes it hard to contact them and sort it out. Any ideas on how I can recover the money and ensure it doesn't happen again.

Being separated and vulnerable is no excuse for lack of common sense. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. If a profile contacts you on a dating site and the woman is of supermodel looks, and you're average at best, think twice!

You're in MI - why would you set your preferences to include foreign countries? You're opening yourself up to lots of requests for money! If you're seeking a foreign bride, there are reputable services that provide that, do some research.

Many women who join dating sites are looking for something enduring anyways - a desperate, vulnerable and even worse, separated man isn't ready for long term (even if you think you are). There's a reason eHarmony turned you down (which I am assuming, it wasn't mentioned) - statistics show you won't end up with anyone you date when you're still separated. Their goal is marriage and will not let those who are separated join.

So you were desperate and vulnerable and let yourself be duped. But had it been thru a personal ad, would you blame the newspaper for your bad luck? There's no excuse to not use common sense (read the TIPS!) when it comes to anything on the internet, no matter how desperate you are.

Fling.com Community and Social Aspect: The platform has a community feel, with features that encourage interaction beyond one-on-one messaging, such as group chats and forums. This helps build a sense of community among users.

Final Verdict and Recommendations: Fling.com can be a viable option for those seeking casual encounters, but it may not be the best choice for those looking for a more modern and feature-rich dating experience.
