In November 2008 I was quoted $123.15 and 5-7 days to fix a broken mirror. 3 months later, I still do not have my mirror as yesterday I refused to pay the $236 they are now trying to charge me.
It was explained to me that $236 is for "missed deliveries", which means that twice their delivery guy came to my house - but not at our scheduled time. Although I stuck around as long as possible, their unreliability resulted in the delivery guy randomly showing up not even close to the scheduled time, and I was unable to be home. Now I have been told that final delivery will cost another $60, so in order to get my mirror back it will cost me close to $300.
To delve further into this company's customer service, when I called in Jan to ask why it was taking so long to fix my mirror, I was told they had broken it and had to re-repair. In a recent conversation - one of my more than 15 attempts to get my mirror back - the proprietor told me that he kicked it every time he walked by it in his shop. At this point, I believe he has no intentions of returning my property to me.
I will immediately remove this post if Fix All decides to honour the original quote of $123.15, and delivers my mirror in the condition promised. If you are reading this post, then nothing changed, I still don't have my mirror, and this is one unprofessional company to strictly avoid.
