First Convenience Bank [FCB] large deposit on hold for 3+ business days!

This is the last issue I will have with First National/Convenience Bank! I've had too many issues with them when it comes to withdraws, credit/debit purchases, etc. They ALWAYS take the biggest purchase out & hold on to the last ones so that you can overdraft. I've complained with them too many times about this. This last time, I sold some tickets on Ticketmaster for a concert for a colleague of mine. He actually took a loss on this, so the amount I was to receive, was less than what was paid for them. On Friday, 10/20/2017, Ticketmaster deposited the amount into my account. I check my account every morning at 7 am & the funds were there. So I wrote a check to the person I sold them for. Later that day, I checked my account again (I check my account morning & night) & noticed the funds were taken out! I figured it would be in pending status until at least Monday. Well, here it is Tuesday 10/24/2017 & I had to call them to find out what was going on with my money. They finally informed me that my money was on HOLD until I submitted my original receipt from Ticketmaster for the exact amount. Well, the original receipt is for more than that amount & it took me more than 30 minutes to finally speak to a supervisor for him to say that the original receipt will work & that I have to fax it in to the card fraud department with my account information for MY money to be released to me! I am fed up with all of the issues & trying to give them multiple chances to fix their crap! I am closing all of my accounts after I receive my money!

First Convenience Bank [FCB] Customer service

Calling the customer service support line has been a bitter and unpleasant experience with this bank. The representatives are rude and annoyed with you as a customer. I simply wanted to inquire about a deposit, yet was treated as if I was calling to ask the representative personally for money. The Desoto branch in Kroger is the only reason I have stayed, when I would go to close my account their smiles and warm reception make it almost impossible. However, the phone customer service I have received mad me yet get into my vehicle and drive to close my accounts. Just horrible

First Convenience Bank [FCB] csr & online/automotive system and bank ethics

I was advised by your CSR that overdraft protection would cover me in the event that my account goes negative I would not access any type of fees unless my account stayed negative for 5 days or more, no one said anything about I will also receive NSF fees as well which isn't that the point? So financially it made more sense to me to have overdraft because I'd rather pay 1 over draft fee then multiple NSF fees and overdraft fees! You are a crook! This bank is the worst bank I have EVER DELT WITH! Your online website showed my transactions POSTED and 2-4 days later all a sudden they are PENDING!? Hmmm that doesn't sound accurate in fact I will be posting all over social media and contacting Fox 4 news about this! How can a transaction go from posted back to pending! I am an intelligent woman I can read and I can count I also understand the difference between NSF and Overdraft fees I am not ignorant or uneducated when it comes to that! I am closing down my bank and how funny that when I am telling my story to friends and family they are also having this same issues! Look at my account and you will see that I RARELY go negative..that's because I can count and read what your online web tells me and your automative system! Train your CSR to advise all the truth and nothing but the truth Shame on your bank for being crooked and allowing this to continue you are deceitful and now I see what's wrong with this world you are greedy! Well I am taking several customers away from your bank and I am personally making it my mission to warn other Americans about your bank! Your supervisor Anna in Texas id# 184836 is a joke! You advise customers that there accounts will be set up for review to have these fees refunded but that's a bunch of bull! They can take care of this over the phone per your tellers I speak to at a bank branch location! Why do you not allow your employees to hold some type of power on making descions on refunding fees or not? Oh I know it's because your greedy! I want my mother [censor]ing fees refunded into my [censor]ING ACCOUNT ASAP! I also want a call from an AVP OR EVP OR VP! Fix my account now because I am on the BBB as we speak and I won't stop until you do what you say you will do!

First Convenience Bank [FCB] not really "overdraft protection"

I have a checking account and a savings account with FCB. I specifically wanted any potential overdrafts to be paid from my savings account. They call this "linking." I thought I had made that clear from the start, but 3 years later, they charged me over $34 in overdraft fees (for a $10 overdraft!). They said that overdraft meant they would pay (in this case an auto debit) and charge me. I would never have agreed to that when I signed up. What a stupid concept.

I didn't know this was a "bad credit" bank--I just liked it at first because it was at WalMart and open better hours. I guess I will be making a trip (with my money) down to Wells Fargo or another REAL bank that can be upfront with how their processes work. My advice--get out of this mess as soon as you can!

First Convenience Bank [FCB] rude, childlike behavior

On November 16th, I approached the bank counter and made a request to Justin, bank employee, to deposit funds into my account which included cash, paper checks, and a wire transfer from Western Union. Justin partially completed my request and instructed me to stand to the side of the bank counter while he completes service requests for other customers. I waiting patiently for 2-3 mins. Justin then proceeded to complete the Western Union transfer and handed me the cash. I then mentioned to Justin that I do not want any cash and that I distinctively advised him to deposit on monies into my bank account. Justin then stated that I did not advise him to deposit Western Union funds. And that the only thing I was doing was standing there looking ugly. I then asked Justin for his managers name and telephone. He stated that he does not release names and telephones. I then told him that each time attempt to make deposits into my account, every bank teller here mistakenly hands my cash. Justin replied again that I did not request to deposit Western Union funds and again stated I was standing there looking ugly and not saying anything.I was insulted, embarrassed by Justin a total of 3 times. He was very arrogant, rude, and unprofessional. Even when I contacted telephone customer service to file a complaint and told him I was doing so - He acted as if he did not care and even showed me his name badge with pride. Two days after this event, I was contacted by Sonya Banks, district manager, and was advised she will be investigating this matter and informed me she could not guarantee his dismissal. Desired Outcome Description: The employee should be terminated or suspended. At the very least, apologize for his unprovoked, rude behavior. If not, I will be closing my 10 year old account and transferring my balance to another bank with friendlier bankers.

First Convenience Bank [FCB] they took money for the declines and didn't help you to solve the problems

When I signed up for the services of First Convenience Bank, I was told that if I had any problems, the tellers from the company would help me. But when I have serious problem, the teller told me that he could help. I wanted to put fuel to my car, but my card was declined. After that the bank took $5 for the decline. I went to bank, because I wanted to know why it has been declined, but they refused to help me.

OMG. I used the website www.1stcb.com. But after couple of weeks, I started to notice that money started to disappear from my account. WTF? I called them and sent emails, but these jerks didn’t react and didn’t return my money back. WTF? I wonder if there are people, who had the same thing. Maybe you can advise me how to stop these withdrawals. Please post your ideas and comments. Thanks.

First Convenience Bank [FCB] excessive overdraft charges

I most recently suffered (Double Dipping) by First Convenience Bank. I have noticed that they will charge a $35.00 fee for pending charges only to find them picking the order when charges are posted in an attempt once again to collect fees.

For 5 transactions I was charged $245.00 in overdraft fees.

Then they change the order on the statement pages of the website so it is impossible to trace each transaction and exactly when they came in.

I look forward to joining any class action suits against this bank. My email address is [protected]@yahoo.com

Ever since my account went negative in July, I have not been able to actually enjoy a full check because of their outrageous fees. I'm very fed up with the bank taking so much money out of my already small checks! I actually have to overdraw just to take care of my bills. I'm thinking about switching to Netspend prepaid, although my new account won't take effect until the bank gets to reach their hand out and get more money for one more check.

First Convenience Bank [FCB] faulty transasations

Proof upon request. I received my taxes direct deposited as usual on at a different bank. This time the Bank was First Convenience Bank in Tucson at the Wall-mart. Me and my wife filed joint return was filed together, and as soon as the check went in the account they send me a an available balance of 8009 dollars. So I went to buy my baby some diapers, clothes and paid some bills.than they sent the check back to the IRS or somewhere. The check was a government check and should be accepted at any other bank. Now, I owe 600 dollars in overdraft. I am switching bake to Chase, Bank of America and Bank Corp this has not happened there. Be carefully how first convenience bank changes hands or becomes. They said my name was not on the check when they just cash our state tax check.

First Convenience Bank [FCB] everything about them

Everything about this bank sucks. More than half the time you can't even access the online banking site. It is always "under maintenance". The other day I had two accounts that weren't even mine on my online account, and then they emailed me that I apparently tried to administer an online account transfer from these accounts that were not mine. The transfers were denied so they sent me a denial email then. Also, when THEY make a mistake at Walmart and swipe your card numerous times the bank debits your card $2.00 every time Walmart's system screws up. I have disappearing and reappearing charges, leading me to believe that I have more money in my account than I actually do, so then I make a purchase, then the disappearing and reappearing money all of the sudden disappears permanently and BOOM there comes my service charge and daily fees. They also NEVER answer the phone at the local bank. They demand you call the 800 number and then you have to wait to speak with someone and then you have to wait 24 hours to SEE if a charge will drop off then when you go in to the bank, the associates claim the can't remove a service fee or charge so you have to again WAIT for a manager to come in for a fee to be removed. I have 2 accounts. One of them is for my son's SSI. For some reason when I got divorced and went to have my last name changed on my account, all of the sudden now my SON'S name is no longer on the account and they have the account all screwed up, all over a last name change. I'm going to change banks ASAP. I've had nothing but trouble, undeserved service fees, and incompetent customer service from this bank. If you can find a different bank, steer clear of this one.

First Convenience Bank [FCB] denial of access to funds

On Monday November 19th 2012 I deposited a check into my account at First Convenience Bank, a division of First National Bank Texas. I called First Convenience Bank and spoke with a customer service supervisor by the name of Else who told me that the funds where placed are hold by the loss prevention department for reasons she was not allowed to share with me, the account holder. I was also told to call Else back before 4pm on that day (Nov. 23rd 2012) to check for any new information. I called First Convenience Bank at 340pm on that same day, Friday (Nov. 23rd 2012). I was told Else was unavailable and was transferred to another customer service supervisor who's name I do not have recorded. I was told that the issue with the check was due to the loss prevention department not being able to contact the issuing company for verification. I asked why the loss prevention office could make a telephone call to company and ask them for whatever information was needed for the verification of the account and was told that she (the customer service supervisor) was unable to answer that question as the everyone was gone for the weekend.

I called First Convenience Bank at 830am on Monday (Nov. 26 2012) and spoke with a customer service supervisor by the name of Misty. I ask Misty to contact the loss prevention department and to ask that they contact the company who check for verification of the account, after be placed on hold Misty returned and then stated that they had spoke with "someone" at the issuing company and was told that person could not verify the account on which the check was drawn and that First Convenience Bank would continue to refuse access to these funds. I contacted the manager of the Accounts Payable department at the company who issued the check and was told that no one from First Convenience Bank had contacted his department. The Accounts Payable manager also verified that the funds for the check where release from the companies account on Friday (Nov. 23rd 2012). It has now been ten business days I have still have no access to these funds and no attempt has been made to contact me by First Convenience Bank.

First Convenience Bank [FCB] bad bank that ripps people off!

I opened an account with this bank in an Arizona walmart and thought it was convenient! I read all the fine print and knew about the 90 days of keeping the account open or they charge 25.00 to close it. I kept this account open for over 90 days and moved out of state for a job. There is no first bank in wisconsin where I moved to so I closed the account over the phone and the customer service rep said that was ok and would send my balance left over in the mail to me.A few months after closing the account I started getting phone calls all hours of the day and NIGHT! They claim I have a negative balance of 58.00 and I just about went through the roof, I told them time after time that it was closed months ago but they had no record and the after getting no help and being on hold for thirty minutes I gave up. The next night at 10:30pm I get another call saying I owe them over 100+ for overdraft. They wont let me close the account for the SECOND time because they say I owe them money and until I pay they cant close the account! Now they say I owe them several hundred dollars when they owe me money! By far the worst experience I ever had with any business! CROOKS! They should be wearing masks! I never heard of a bank robbing customers!

First Convenience Bank [FCB] poor service

Because i live out of state and we have no First Convenience Bank in our state, the branch in AZ said it was ok to mail a deposit to the branch. That is what i did, and it cost me $5.90, it was delievered and i have confirmation that it was delivered, but nobody within the branch or at Walmart has a clue where it went. I say this is very very poor business practice of FCB because i called and told them about it, i spoke to Walmart about it and GUESS WHAT: NOBODY GIVES A DAM, NOBODY EVEN RETURNS A PHONE CALL TO FOLLOWUP, I CALL IT POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE AND LAME EXCUSES!1

First Convenience Bank [FCB] federal regulators need to look into this bank

I had been banking with this institution for more than 6 months. During this time I had two overdrafts. One of the overdrafts was because I was doubled dipped by an automatic withdrawal.
I went to open a savings account on 3/22/12. No problems, the people at the branch were nice when they took my two checks @ $2, 500 apiece. I went the following Monday to transfer $500 into my checking and was told my account was on hold. I asked why, and they stated because I had 6 or more overdrafts. I told them to check my account and they verified that was false. The Assistant Manager than stated she didn't know why and said I needed to call their headquarters in Kileen.
Red flags were flying. Why hold checks on a savings account? I can understand checking maybe, but not savings,
I called four times. The first three times they disconnected me. The fourth time...Jason the customer service rep would not let me talk to the Loss Prevention Dept. nor his Supervisor. I couldn't talk to anyone but Jason who told me they were abiding by Federal Law and that's just the way it is. This also caused red flags to fly.
I then received a letter stating that because they don't believe the checks are good and that I had repeatedly overdrafted my account, the checks would be on hold for 7 business days.
I had deposited checks from my father before. Red flags again. The called my 81 year old father and interrogated him, scaring him to death. Both checks cleared in 3 days yet they are holding them for a total of 12 days making daily interest.
What is happening after reading all the other complaints is clear to see.
They are taking advantage of their customers because they know the customers don't have the monetary means to fight.
This wrong needs to be righted. They are the pink slime of the banking industry. Please, I am all in for doing a class action lawsuit to expose these con artist. That's my opinion.
You can contact me at [protected]@gmail.com.

I recently opened a checking and savings account at the First convenience Bank located in the wal-Mart in Nacogdoches Texas. I was working there and needed a local bank just to handle immediate banking needs. I received an overdraft notice from the bank because there was a $10.00 charge placed on both my checking account because the mailed me something, (I had signed up for all mail going my Internet anyway). I was told that my mail was returned and there is a $10 fee when mail is returned. When I called to complain, they were very rude and took me through an enormous amount of interrogation before talking to me. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was put on hold for 33 minutes and no one ever came to the phone. I then went to the branch and found out someone had put in a wrong zip code and they admitted it was their fault. Second issue. I used my card to check in a motel but ask that charges no be put on the card. i paid cash when checking out and the desk clerk released the hold on my card. Three days later, the bank issued me an NSF fee. I was told that the motel was the blame although the motel charge did not show anywhere on my account. I was told to have the motel fax a letter saying that charges were never requested on my card. The motel immediately issued the fax and sent me a fax copy off the letter. I called the next day and i was told that they did not receive the fax. i had my motel fax again. Still they said they did not receive the fax. By this time, they had accessed two additional NSF charges plus some other daily fees. I was more than upset and went to the branch complaining. The branch manager took a copy of the fax and sent it to customer service. The Manager then called and acknowledged the fax was received. They assured me that all the charges would be reversed within 24 hours. Three days later, still no reversal of the fees. I am currently out of town, but will storm back in the bank when i return, get this straighten out and CLOSE THAT ACCOUNT ! YOU CAN JOIN ME IN A CLASS ACTION SUIT at wrewilli@gmail.com

I opened my account with First Convenience Bank around the middle of February 2012. Upon beginning my job at Tarrant County College on February 20th, I was told my first check would not be available until the end of March. I borrowed $500 from a family member and he sent me a bank check from Wells Fargo for the amount of $500. I was told because Wells Fargo would not verify third party information they had to hold the funds until the $500 could be verified.
On March 8, 2012, I received my retirement check from the State of Colorado. The check was for a little over $10, 000. I was told because of the amount of the check, they would have to hold the funds for up to two weeks. I called the state offices in Colorado and they verified the funds were available, but the bank would still not release the funds. They had me sign a paper stating I would get $4800 on March 14th and the balance on March 21st.
My first payroll check from Tarrant County College was supposed to be direct deposited on March 30th, 2012. Because the TRS retirement paperwork was not entered in sufficient enough time, they issued a paper check. I picked up the paper check at the business office and drove to First Convenience Bank. The teller called Chase Bank to verify availability of funds and informed me I would have the funds available on Saturday, March 31st. Upon attempting to withdraw funds on March 31st, I was told that a hold was placed on that check for the entire amount of $5, 900, leaving me no money to pay my bills. I tried to call the central offices in Killeen, but they were closed for the weekend.
On Monday, April 2nd, I called the bank’s central office in Killeen. As I was explaining the situation, the lady who answered the phone said she was sorry, but that is just the way things are. She then hung up on me. I called back and asked for a supervisor. The supervisor informed me that the “Loss Prevention” office had placed a hold on the check and I would have access to the funds on April 9th. I asked for a number and contact information for the Loss Prevention office and the supervisor stated they do not talk with customers and there is no public telephone number available. She went on to state, “Now that I was aware of the policy, I could plan better in the future”. I explained to her that I need to pay my rent and purchase my heart medications and she said she was sorry, there was nothing she could do for me. I never signed a form stating my money would be held until April 9th.
I contacted the payroll office of Tarrant County College, who contacted Chase Bank, who wrote and faxed a letter stating there were sufficient funds to cover the payroll check. Once again First Convenience has denied my request to release my funds.

To make a long story short, my bank card was stolen and instead of the bank helping me, they were trying to make me feel like I was the criminal. Not only did I give them a police report, I gave the claims department my time card from work.Lynnsey continued to tell me she could not help me because she didn't understand why I didn't clock out for lunch at work.Someone was using my debit card as credit.I filed two claims and the bank insisted that they could not help me.When the person overdrew 1200.00 worth of bank fees, the bank still never gave me a courtesy call.I will never tell any one to bank with First Convenience Bank EVER!

First Convenience Bank [FCB] scam

I was a First Convenience Bank member until today. I dont have the greatest credit around so I figured a bank who will give me an account great. Started direct deposit an everything was going great until to day 4-16-10. I knew I might have some overdraft fees from previous transactions made earlier in the week. but not 387.00 in overages. That was my whole pay check. But when I went to the ATM on 4-15-10. It said I had money in the account. But what made me overdraft was checking the ATM it told me I had 127.00 left in the account this was prior to this week. So I thought I had money to use on a side job when I didnt. I wonder what is up with not holding the funds that were charged as credit. Any other bank would do that oh no not them they set u up for failure to overdraft. No warning or nothing. So here I am with no money to pay for insurance on mine an my wifes cars, no money for food for our son or us, an no money for gas for us to make it to work to get another paycheck. In my opinion this bank needs to be closed down an rebuilt from the ground up. They need to start taking a look at there customer satisfaction. Which is very poor. Thank You First Convenience Bank you opened my eyes to how low of a bank u really are!
To the check list at the end all of the above.

If your going to ridicule people who post complaints, be mature enough to handle it when people ridicule you. Also, each time you send a response, I have the right to respond. That is not spamming fool. It would be nice if you knew what the hell you were talking about, but it is so crystal clear that your use of the english language reveals you really are just a immature brat.

BOFA was sued successfully for their overdraft policies. The law firm is now going after other banks. I do agree most overdrafts are the responibility of the individual unless the bank screws up. This bank for example will hit you with an overdraft fee when you close an account. Their software has a 5 cent differance in it. So when you close your account you will be 5 cents overdrawn. I know this because I was able to see the screen when I closed my account and confirmed it with the employee. As far as "whythelongfaces" don't pay attention to that idiot. You can look up his account and all he does is spend all day in front of the computer responding to others. No life for this fool.

First Convenience Bank [FCB] the worst liars

I have opened up an account and I have friends told me about this bank that they ripped their customers off from their customers. They can't take care their customer very will. For an example once you deposit a check they hold that check for 4 to 5 days then they decided to deposit and post it to your account. On the day of 11/23/2010 I have closed my account and I saw the teller wrote the date and enter it in the computer. Then three or four days later they still haven't actually closed my account. So I would like to tell you if you want to find a bank I would not recommened this to anyone.

First Convenience Bank [FCB] do not do business here

I just recently opened another small business and decided to use 1st Convenience bank since it was located in my local Kroger's Store and they had extended hours. I should have followed my gut instinct to quickly run away when the so called "branch manager" began arguing with me about my business structure. She insisted that business was a Limited Liability Corporation - while I stood there informing her that I had started a Single Member Limited Liability Company, which for tax purposes would be treated as a sole proprietorship. She demanded a DBA - which I didn't have or need, because I do business under the exact same legal name. **For credibility purposes I should mention that - I am graduate student in business (also a bachelor of business) and currently in the process of getting earning my CPA.

No sooner that I had moved past the incompetence of the banks employees - 1st Convenience bank service amazingly got worse. I began setting up my direct deposit, PayPal, Google checkout, shipping and other office supply store accounts - when I realized 1st convenience charged me a $2.00 "POS Denial Fee" per entry - for the verifying deposits and/or setup authorization charges ( which are temporary). I should also add that I made a deposit on January 18, 2011 before noon that as of now (Jan 28 3:18pm CST) still hasn’t been deposited. I called customer service and the young man I talked to couldn’t give a flip about the unfairness of the situation. Right now – I am thinking that enough is enough and I will NEVER EVER EVER EVER do business with 1st convenience bank again – even though I am stuck with them for the next 60 days because I refuse to pay the penalty of $25.00 to close my account. I have started a new commercial account in the same bank as my other business and will not l use the First Convenience account and have every intention on closing it on day 91.
Also, I should probably mention that after providing all my business formation documents to the bank – and I watched them make copies of everything – on another visit they could not locate any of the information I had given them. I sat there and watched the workers scramble around for about 15 minutes looking for it. I wondered and started to ask if maybe someone had taken it home with them. That is SCARY. I may be a small business, but will not accept being treated this way by any bank ever. Please be warned – I wish I would have read this before going there.

First Convenience Bank [FCB] fraud on my account

I was with this bank for over 5 years with no problems at all. Until 05/21/11, i checked my online statement and the bank allowed someone to overdraw my account by $1152.00.. I called the 800# and spoke to a rep and she advised since the charges were pending that the only way I could dispute this was to allow the transactions to post and then file a claim. I requested to speak to an supervisor and I still didn't get anywhere. I explained to the supervisor that this is no way to treat your customers if they are calling to inform you of fradulent charges before they happen and the response was the card that was suppose to have been cancelled at the branch was not cancelled and the card is still showing open and active, even though they issued me another card in the year of 2010. This has been a true nightmare I felt I should have been treated with more courtesy then what I received from a manager since I was an customer with them for so long with no overdrawn issues before. Please reconsider if you are thinking about banking with First Convenience Bank.
