Farmer Home Furniture/TV LCDWarranty


Hi my name is Judith. Well, I purchased a 42 inch LCD Audiovox T.V. in Feb of 2007. The T.V. worked fine the first year, but then the second year in Jan of 2008 the T.V. blacked out...there was sound but no picture. At the time that i purchased the T.V. I also purchased an extended warranty so therefore Farmer Furniture had to fix the problem. When i got in touch with Farmers Furniture they mentioned a company by the name of "Normans" they explained to me that Normans would get in touch with so they could get a technician to come look at my T.V. Well, the technician NEVER showed up or even called to say he wasn't coming. I called the Farmers and asked what was wrong with the technician, they then said the technician had to order the parts for the T.V. How would he even know what part to order if he didn't come to check the T.V. to see what was wrong with it? He said it would take about a week, well, that week went by and still no part nor a technician would show up at my house. So, I finally decided to take the initiative to get in touch with Farmers Home Furniture Corporate Store to get some answers after a month! Corporate was really nice about the whole situation and apologized for the problems and the delay. They finally decided to trade my old T.V. for a "brand new" T.V. well, GUESS WHAT??? That T.V. DID NOT WORK!!! When i got the second T.V. I was excited but little did i know that when i got home the T.V. was NO GOOD! This second T.V. did not power on! So, i got in touch with Farmers AGAIN! and told them that the second T.V. was NO GOOD and there response to my problem was "deal with it, now its not the stores problem. Its the manufactures problem!" So apparently the T.V. was severly mishandled and abused and now i had to deal with it. Now Corporate is trying to work something out with me. If you read this complaint, DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM FARMERS FURNITURE!!! THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!!! I spent $1, 600 on a T.V. that DOES NOT WORK!!! THEY HAVE REALLY BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! ESPECIALLY THE STORE IN GAINESVILLE GA!!!

    I got a great TV and free monster cables at the store in Gainesville.
