Famous Footwear service

I went to your store in a Rundle mills mall yesterday. The line was long but only one person working the register. I asked the person who appear to be the manager if there was somebody else on the register and she said no. She was on her phone, loudly laughing and walking around and ignoring any customers around her.
Once I got to the register that was another person they're counting money on the other side. The cashier rang me up incorrectly and asked the lady who's counting the money for help to back out the order. That lady said no I'm counting money. My cashier then call the manager who had been on the phone earlier over. When she came over she starts arguing with my cashier about how she hadn't wrong me up correctly. They were bickering back-and-forth until I said "can you please have this conversation once you finish ringing me up".
The manager rang me up and I left the store.

The whole experience was awful, I rarely complain about anything but this was absolutely unacceptable. I work in the customer service industry and I am probably more tolerant than most people. But this is not the first time I've experienced terrible customer service at this store and therefore I wanted to log the complaint .

Famous Footwear store manager

I visited your store in Kailua Kona on the Big island of Hawaii, while I was paying for my purchase at the check out register, your store manager who was a mid age man speaking to the cashier in a very aggressive tone of voice and scholding her for a mistake on my transaction saying to her that she can get fired for this mistake, Really for a 5 dollar coupon that I earned, I listened to her as she tried to explain what she was trying to do with the embarrassment look on her face and apologizing to me for the mistake, Is their not a better way to teach and coach your team than to schold her in front of your customers, embarrassing them like that, This has not been the first incident that I have experience I have seen in this store with your manager, That women's customer serves was excellent, very polite and apologetic, it's your manager who need some training in leadership and people skills. Very rude and unprofessional, I feel I need to educate her on calling th HR hotline.

Famous Footwear prejudice manager

I went into a Famous Footwear in San Marcos Texas today and felt humiliated. I went to buy my 5 year old daughter a pair of converse or adidas for her birthday party this weekend. So I started browsing around and saw the Adidas was on sale for 29.99, so I said that's a bargain plus I'm a reward member. So I went to check out and the manager Shawn was checking me out and I noticed the price was 59.99 on the register screen. I told him that's not right and took him to the display. He said there no way we made that mistake. I told him well I did not do it . "Don't yall have cameras in the back ? Go see who did it." He was making it seem like I changed the price. Was it because I am black and not dressed up ? He said " I am not giving you those shoes for that price. Very rude! I have spent lots of money in Famous footwear. Never again will I step foot in that store.

Famous Footwear Very bad service and company

I bought three pairs of shoes from Famous Footwear store and had to ship everything back! All three pairs were defective and poorly made and looked nothing like pictures. At first they refused to accept them back, and I wasted a lot of time arguing with them until they finally agreed.
Another bad thing was that I had to pay for the return shipping.
Don't even risk and shop elsewhere, Famous Footwear is terrible. I was promised a refund and I'm still waiting.

Famous Footwear Customer service

Today I walked in to the store 15 min before closing I quickly picked out a pair of shoes and I stood in line to check out. In front of me there was a family asking information about a pair of shoes that where not in stock at the store. When the family walked away from the registere I placed my shoes at the register where the cashier Jacky began to ring up my purchase but as she was doing so the family that was originally in front of me came back to ask the cashier Jacky a couple questions. They then asked Jacky if she could help them with there online order soon as she finishes ringing up my purchase. Well Jacky ignored the fact that I was first and she stopped my transaction to and began the families online order. When I asked Jacky if she could please just finish ringing me up she did not even look at me and simply said they were here first. I responded to her that I was next sence the family stepped out of line to talk about there order. Jacky ignores me and continued to finish there order. I felt discriminated against. How is it possible that I'm standing in line patiently and the cashier chose to stop my transaction to help an other customer who clearly was not next in line. This has been the worst customer service I have ever received.

Famous Footwear Return process

I bought two pairs of shoes from Famous Footwear and both were two small. Famous Footwear customer service rep promised me a refund and I agreed. I decided that refund was a better choice.
When I asked for a return label they said they didn't offer return labels. So I ended up paying for shipping back.
When they received the shoes they contacted me and said that they were not able to refund me and only replacement was possible. I asked them to explain in details what happened and why did they suddenly change their mind, but the did not reply. I had to agree for a replacement. I'm still waiting for it and it is now over a month and I'm starting to get nervous. I will never buy from Famous Footwear again.

Famous Footwear Horrible

I have purchased a pair of shoes from this company FamousFootwear and received all the conformations. One week passed and I received a message stating that my order was cancelled and refund was issued.
I contacted FamousFootwear and asked what was going on but they did not bother to reply. I have no idea what happened with my order and I'm extremely disappointed with their support service! All I want is to know the reason but no one tells me anything!

Famous Footwear Improper data collection

Clerk demanded my drivers license and scanned it into their computer for return of shoes with a receipt! This is their policy but it not clearly stated online- merely says easy return with receipt and one form of personal ID- nowhere does it say it has to be govt issued and scanned! No doubt the lack of return business requires them to sell your personal info to pad earnings. Never shopped there before and never will again and will file complaint with state atty general for deceptive business practices.

Famous Footwear Purchases and returns during a buy one get one/final day

On 7/30/16 my son (33 yrs) and I (61 yrs) shopped at the Famous Footwear store at 10620 Melody Drive in Northglenn, CO 80234 - I wanted to purchase new shoes for my son as a gift. He selected one pair only and I paid via credit card. My receipt indicated we could purchase one additional pair at 50% off by 9/14/16 as we had shopped during a BOGO.

Shortly after the 7/30 purchase, I learned the shoes were too narrow and caused him a lot of discomfort. He tried wearing them approx three times. There was nothing on the shoe box indicating they were narrow sizing but my son did not feel we could return them as he had worn them.

I mentioned we could still purchase one additional pair at 50% which would lessen the loss of the first/poor fitting pair. I returned to the store on 9/14/16 and with smart phone in hand, photographed a different style and sent the photo to him for approval on a second pair purchase.

He was not able to shop with me that evening but liked the second choice I made - during this second trip I mentioned to a Famous Footwear employee the problem we had with the first pair. She said we could return the first pair for in store credit but could not get a refund. Sounded perfect to me as that would give my son an opportunity to shop for something that would fit better than the first pair had but yet, the second pair may work well too. The young woman who helped me on the floor was very kind and extremely helpful in providing information we had not been aware of.

During check out I mentioned this information to a different employee, buying a second pair for my BOGO but wanting to return the original pair for in store credit. I was told I would have to make the return that evening as the BOGO was ending. The clerk at the register was rather confusing but I purchased the second pair of shoes then drove to my son's house to get the shoes for return.

On returning to Famous Footwear with the narrow fitting shoes for return, I dealt with yet another employee. Alyssa overheard some of the conversation I had previously on the BOGO purchase and return policy.

Alyssa now told me I would not get a full refund on the first pair due to the BOGO and confirmed the return would be approx $51 versus $86 dollars. This did not seem right at all that I should suffer a loss of $35 on the first pair. After all, they are the ones who told me I could return them.

None of the staff had mentioned the price difference until I returned with the first pair (for return). Alyssa said she did not hear the entire conversation I had with the previous clerk and there was nothing mentioning a restocking fee or other type of price reduction.

I'm afraid the two persons I dealt with at the cash register did not seem to know what they were doing. Alyssa called another store to confirm this BOGO return policy but rather than let me talk to the other store, she tried relaying part of the story but not in its entirety. Then Alyssa and the person on the other end of the telephone appeared to ridicule me and the circumstance. To get the proper credit on the first shoes, I was told I would have to return them all.

I ended up driving back to my son's house again, picking up the second pair I had just purchased and returning them. Then I returned the first pair of shoes and received full store credit. It still does not make sense that to receive the proper credit on the first shoes, I had to return the second pair of shoes. I had bought one pair and should have been allowed to keep the second pair but in order to get the proper credit, I had to return everything?

Alyssa was not a pleasant person to deal with, she did not seem to understand what she was saying and even after talking with another person - none of it made sense.

I should have been given full credit on the first shoe return and I should have been allowed to buy the second pair as I had just done. The return on the first shoes after all was an in store credit - money already spent. To run me around that way was insane and then to make me return the second pair, to get the full first credit was ridiculous.

How do you stay in business this way?

It sounds like in order to get the BOGO deal you have to buy a pair of shoes to get another pair of shoes for the half price discount. If you return the first pair, you lose the half price discount on the second pair, as you no longer have a buy one get one scenario, just a buy one.

Famous Footwear Online orders never received

"I initially purchased Waterford Timberland women's shoes on 3/25/2016 at the store but they did not have my size. The cashier ordered them online and indicated that it would take up to 10 business days for the order to be delivered. I happily paid for my shoes and waited for them to be delivered. I waited, and waited and waited. I tried to track the package through their website to no avail. I called customer services on 4/7/2016 and they indicated that the shoes "were not in a sellable condition". When asked further, the representative told me that they don't have the shoes within a hundred miles of Connecticut.I was issued a refund in the form of a check which eventually did arrive. I live in florida so I asked if the shoes are available in this area, they happily took my money and again I waited. "The shoes were not in a sellable condition" (AGAIN). I am still waiting for my refund. Good luck when ordering as you will WAIT FOR NOTHING. "

I'd be so pissed if I were you. In fact, I kinda am NOW just from reading about your ordeal.
That's a terrible manner of which to conduct business.
There's actually a new store approx 5-7 minutes from where I live.
However, I won't be shopping there. Or FF online. No problem. After reading this- shoes stores are on every corner it seems and FF IMO never has any great deals anyway. I've never found a "steal " at Famous Footwear. Props on your review. Glad I ran across it.

Famous Footwear Seller didn't want to change wrong pair of shoes

Don’t order from www.famousfootwear.com. I have purchased two pairs of the shoes from these liars. I got all details about the purchase. And after 3 weeks I got the shoes, but one pair was completely wrong. The seller wasn’t happy about this situation and didn’t want to change the shoes. I need to persuade him, but I have no idea how to do it. Maybe other users have any ideas and offers. Please.

Famous Footwear Toddler

I will never purchase a pair of shoes in famous footwear again! I always go into famous footwear to buy school shoes for my son, today we went to the location at the St. Augustine outlets. I came in with my mother son and 2 year old daughter. I was in the store about 5 minutes when my daughter started to complain about having to use the restroom. She started to grab her privates with how badly she needed to use it! I ran to the counter and politely asked while explaining that she was 2 years old and could not hold it. The girl at the counter said no, and that I'd have to walk all the way to the food court to use the restroom. It's about a mile walk when your with a toddler! I said she can't hold it and really needs to go! She told me no again and said I'd have to walk to the restroom at the food court! Unbelievable, my daughter with panic in her eyes and me with shock! I said so I guess it's okay if she pees herself?! I cannot believe it. I left the store and walked two stores down, I went inside explained the situation and was allowed to use their restroom, where my daughter almost peed on the floor. I thanked them and left. I went straight back into the famous footwear and asked to speak with her manager. While talking to her almost in tears with how frustrated I was, she apologized and I asked her if she would have allowed my 2 year daughter into the restroom? She looked me straight in the face and said no! Ha! I seriously hope they don't have any children and are put in that type of situation. I am outraged, very disappointed and will never purchase another pair of shoes from them. They are horrible!

They do not have a public restroom...what if you went back and got hurt, you would sue and they would lose their insurance because you could not get that not all places have to bend over for your child. I have 2 kids and when they have to go I go find a public restroom...

Famous Footwear refused to exchange child shoes

Consumers should have knowledge of store's exchange policy in clear view. before they purchase meechandise in your store.
I am a single mom and full-time college student living on a very budgeted income. My 6 year old saved up his allowance money to by a pair of Skechers Lights Shoes. (he earns $1.00 a day for good grades and good behavior at home and school )... On Friday March 7, 2014 I took him to Famous Footwear to buy the shoes, he was so excited he wore them out of the store and to the movies to see Mr. Peabody. The next day he told me the shoes had been hurting. I promised him we would take them back and get a bigger size... I was unable to keep that promise. :(
When we arrived back at the store, we informed the saleman that the shoes had been hurting and that he may need a bigger size in that particular shoe; however they did not have the 12.5 size he needed in the same color and style. My son decided that he would choose another color and style of the Skechers shoes (ORY Black/Blue 95910L Air tricks) which was a $25.00 added differnce from the shoes he originally purchased. He was again excited and put on the shoes to wear them out of the store, but when we got to register the same salesman who first greeted us upon arrival, took the returning shoe out of the box and noticed tiny wear marks and stated that: " they would not be able to take them back" I asked " WHY?" and that is, when I found out about Famous Footwear's exchange policy. The sales man showed me that the policy was located at the bottom of the receipt and highlighted the small print: "Merchandise can only be refunded or exchanged if unworn" WHAT! I was not only shocked that I had to keep a pair of shoes that hurt my son's feet, but I was very hurt, watching my 6 year old son cry, while giving back the other shoes he chose; because I could not afford the other shoes ($55) without the refund from the shoes he was returning ($30). The salesman gave me the number to Customer Service, who I contacted immediately; and learned in so many words that :
1) Their mechandise is important and the customer is just their means of making money and that,
2) My 6 year old son, was not getting his earned money back, and he would not have the shoes he worked so hard to earn.
Every Consumer should be given the Right and Respect to know any store's Exchange/Refund policy prior to purchase "Not After" they have spent their hard earned money, No Matter How Young They are...

Famous Footwear Priscilla

Priscilla who works at Famous Footwear is the rudest person I have ever had help me at this store. I go in often and the Store manager Barbie is adorable and so helpful, but Priscilla is quiet the opposite. She rolls her eyes a lot and tries to avoid eye contact and makes you feel like you are wasting her time. I had to chase her down to get her to get me some shoes off a high shelf and then she acted put out that she had to find the hook thing. The entire time mumbling under her breath..." It is so f***king stupid we only have one of these damn things"! I left and did not make a purchase that day. I went back recently and told Barbie about what had happened. She seemed genuinely sorry for the behavior and apologized. My hope is Priscilla will take Maternity leave soon and opt to stay home and not return. I know good employees and hard to find, but some people do not belong in management or the customer service field. Priscilla is best suited for a mortuary job where she needs no personality because she has none.

Famous Footwear not good service

I purchased 2 pairs of shoes for my son for Christmas 2012 and one pair had to be ordered for home delivery. They sent me a ladies pair of boots, I returned the boots to the store and they reordered and they sent them to the wrong address. They had to reorder for the third time on Dec 28th 2012 and as of Jan 5, 2013 I 'm still waiting. The only compensation was a 20% coupon, this not enough for the trouble of not receiving one pair of shoes. VERY DISAPPOINTED...

Famous Footwear Customer service dissapointment

I went to the Famous Footwear today in Billings, Montana. I was helped immediately by a gal. I had a emailed picture from my son, who was there 1/2 hour earlier picking out his school shoes, I showed her the picture and she said they didn't have a 10 1/2, and explained that they were very busy today, I texted my son, who told me to look above the display for additional boxes and sizes. Yep there they were, a size 10 1/2. So I got them. It was buy one get one 1/2 off, so I looked for a pair of shoed for me. Found those immediately, It was off to the counter. I had a reminder for a $10.oo off card that I wanted assistance with, I had bought my younger son's school shoes only 2 weeks ago, but couldn't find the receipt. I walked up to Tawne and explained that I had bought shoes a couple of weeks ago and asked if there was any way for them to ook that information up for me. She looked behind her, at Kay, the Manager, and asked, "can we do that?" Kay looked in the computer and said there was no information available at this time. Then Tawne said, "You can use this info to fill out the $10 off coupon... I said, "Yes, but then I am out another $10.00 off card." It was then that she dropped my shoe boxes on the counter and rolled her eyes at me. ****I looked at my friend, who was with me and asked if I said something offensive, and wondered if she also thought that Tawne had an attitude. My friend agreed. I said to Tawne. Did I say something to offend you, because I am observing a definite attitude from you. (she ignored me). I said to go ahead and just give me the receipt, that I would never shop in this store again.Tawne said, "then you won't be needing these shoes either right?" I said, "No, ring me up and I will never shop here again" Kay, the manager let Tawne provide unacceptable customer service and said in a quiet, non attentive voice, "sorry". Tawne continued to ring me up and was somewhat polite with her voice, but not making eye contact. She did not ask if anyone was assisting me. I then said, "I can see you are busy and you may be tired, but you have to have customer service, and you didn't do that for me. I then walked out. I have 3 boys and grandsons. I will also post on facebook my dissatisfaction with your store and my future support in the Shoe Carnival and serveral other shoe stores.

They took forever to send my shoes and kept sending it to the wrong address and blaming FedEx then UPS. It was their fault, they charged for expedited shipping when thet weren't supposed to and said they would send a measly $10 gift card which they never did, then they lie to the BBB because I repoted them. dont use Famous Footwear they are scammers, crooks, and liars.

Famous Footwear charged us double. We caught the mistake and they are not giving us our $$$back. We must go to our bank and fill out paperwork in order for them to return our $$$$...This is really bad business!

placed on line order. cannot get order confirmation or customer service. NO phone number to call for service. automated email response from FF - states they have "high volume" and it will take several days to get an email customewr service response from them.
terrible - no customer servicde!

I will never shop at Famous footwear again. They have horrible customer service! I bought a pair of shoes for work. I wore them one time and decided I needed to take them back because they hurt my feet. Also the right shoe was starting to pull apart at the toe. When I took them back, they said too bad. Because I wore them one time out of my house they would not give me a refund or even store credit. I have bought shoes at other places and they always had a 30 or sometimes a 60 day return policy. I really believe Famous footwear is out to screw their customers! They will never get a chance to do that to me again! Buyer beware... There are too many other places that you can get shoes. To have to put up with that crap. I even called the customer service number on the receipt. They were no help. The girl on the other line was rude I felt. Again, horrible customer service!

Famous Footwear Costly mistake

I went into the store #2667 to buy my nephew a pair of sneakers. He lives out of town. I personally shipped the shoes to him. When he opened the box, there were two right shoes in it. The town in which she lives does not have a Famous Footwear. I was told by the associate that there was a Factory Brand shoe store 33 miles from where she lived. I am so upset because now that purchase has cost me shipping and her gas. The whole reason for buying my nephew the shoes in the first place was to help her out, not make it harder on her. I hate this because normally I am a famous footwear loyal customer. Please make this situation right for me and my sister.

Famous Footwear Poor business

I was recently shopping in a local Famous Footwear store to exchange tennis shoes I received for Christmas--with the gift receipt. I found a different brand for the same amount of money, and I was adding a second pair with the "buy one, get one half off" deal. Posted around the store were several signs that said, "spend $100, get $20 off, limited time only" (no dates specified). As my daughter and I walked to the front counter we passed the Sketchers Shape-Ups display. I have been wanting a pair of these, due to my profession, but I do not have the extra $100 to spend on a single pair of shoes right now. I remembered the $20 off $100 sign that I saw, and re-read the one that was right next to the Shape-Ups display--no exculsions posted. I took the pair of Sketchers and a second pair of other shoes up to the checkout counter to purchase. I was told that the $20 off $100 purchase sale was over the previous day, and Shape-Ups were excluded anyway. The associate next to the one ringing me out said something under her breath and rushed out to the floor to take down the three signs I had seen. I asked for the discount anyway, and was told they didn't have the coupon any longer to scan, and Shape-Ups were excluded. I told her there was no sign stating that, and she told me there had been a sign the previous day that was taken down. I asked if a manager could make the exception, since it was the associates working that day who made the mistake, was laughed at, and was again told no. I made my exchange with the first pair of Nike shoes that I picked, and left upset. I called the customer service number to make a complaint, and was told there was nothing they could do for me. I asked to be in contact with a district manager. The representative took my contact information, and I was promised to be contacted within 24-48 hours. Six days later, I still have not heard from anyone regarding this matter. I will no longer shop at Famous Footwear, and will not let my family. I also am telling everyone I know. This was very poor customer satisfaction that could have gone the opposite direction, with me bragging of how great Famous Footwear is. Too bad for them. My family spends at least $1000 or more per year on school shoes, socks, holiday shoes, boots, basketball shoes, baseball spikes, football spikes, Easter shoes, summer flip-flops, everyday shoes, tennis shoes, ect...too bad they have lost our business.

Famous Footwear Scam

I have been a reward customer for 8 years. Over the year, my number has worn off of my card. I have children and purchase quite a few shoes. I experience frequent frustration of the employees not being able to identify my account. My name is wrong, as is the phone number, but when I call there is always a LONG LONG wait. Finally, after many visits of not getting reward points, the guy at the register found me. He wrote the number on the back and told me to call customer service and consolidate the no less than two accounts I now have. I finally decided to stick it out and wait the 17 minutes on hold. I got an agent and the call was immediately disconnected. Nice. I was determined, so I called back. The agent couldn't find the number the clerk wrote on the card. She couldn't find the name and/or zip code. She couldn't find anything. I asked for a supervisor and waited another 7 minutes on hold! Reward cards usually encourage people to continue shopping at that retailer. After 8 years, I will never be back. I should have had quite a bit of savings by now, but with employees that don't care and executives that aren't making the system easy, I have no more loyalty. I don't know what other shoe stores are out there, but I will be finding them.

Famous Footwear Not treated nicely

I bought a pair of nonslip shoes and before I left the store I asked about the return policy. I was told that it is 30 days with the box. So I wore my new shoes to work but found them too tight. I also found them too hot compaired to my previous pair. So I decided to return them and get my money back. The same associate I had asked about the return policy told me I can only get store credit because I wore the shoes outside. I told her that when I asked her about the return policy she did not tell me I will not get a refund if I wear the shoes outside and this piece of information is not on the receipt. So I asked her to refuund me my money because I did not know I couldn't wear the shoes outside and that she did not tell me. The associate refused. So I asked to speak with the store manager. The manager also refused to give me a refund and sided with the associate. I eventually ended up taking a bigger size. But the the crux of the matter is that both the associate and the manager did not take responsibility for their not telling me that I can't wear the shoes outside in order to get a refund. Worse, both the associate and the manager DID NOT appologize to me and they treated me very coldly. I told the assocaite that I will not come back to shop at Famout Footwear and she did not even respond to that.

I hope that the assocaite and the manager will realize that they should have taken responsibility for their actions by giving me a refund. They should also understand that apologizing to a customer when making a mistake is one of the basics of good customer service.

It would be greatly appreciated if I could have a response to this complaint and if somehing could be done about it, please.
