Family Dollar The manager

I have a very big issue right now at the family dollar with the manager.. Every time I enter in that store he is bugging me following me around the store, he has even went as far as touching me on my hip and lower back area. Now that crossed the line! I'm upset about this whole situation, because there is honestly no reason that should be happening! He is a manager, he should have respect for his customers. He also should respect the young females he hires I know lots of females that have stopped working there, because of his actions. I need someone to get back too me about this situation. Asap!

Family Dollar Employees not wearing masks

Family Dollar in Staples MN 11/12/2020
Not 1 Employee was wearing a mask. And one of the ones stocking the shelves was coughing all over everything and not even trying to cover her mouth. I Can only imagine that they do not do any other cleaning or sterilizing of store if that is what they do when customers are there. With the fast rising of Covid in central MN it should be MANDATORY that the workers wear masks and clean the store!

Family Dollar Store manager spreading gossip about customers and other businesses

Over the past 5 weeks or so, the manager "Julie" while working at family dollar in dannemora, ny has been spreading terrible rumors about myself and my business. Also, I have seen her roll her eyes at customers and be rude to her co workers, speaking down to them and openly being rude to them. I run a daycare business in town and have supported family dollar since it opened. I will no longer do so. Julie told a former fd employee, as well as others that I molested my son and to stay away from me. This kind of gossip can put me out of business. I don't know julie personally and don't wish to. There is absolutely no truth or validity to these slanderous accusations. However in a small town such as ours this type of behavior is very harmful. I am meeting with a lawyer to see what I need to do to make this stop. However, family dollar should know exactly who they have representing them. And that this gossip is coming from inside their store from their employee while working. If needed family dollar will be brought up in my legal endeavors. I simply will not stand for this anymore!

Family Dollar Refusal of managers to wear face masks

I'm extremely vulnerable to Covid 19 because I have 4 different underlying health issues so I have to avoid crowds, which means my son has to shop for me. He also has to be very careful not to bring any germs home with him. I know that mandatory mask mandates don't mean jack to a lot of selfish people who refuse to wear them in the stores, but I expect the employees to follow the mandate and wear the darn mask. My son just got home from the Dollar General at 756 Ashland Rd in Mansfield, Ohio and told me that the manager and another employee were standing at the register talking to the cashier for 15 minutes and neither of them had their masks on at all. He had picked up 4 things for me and was 2nd in line but had to stand there for 15 minutes while these 3 employees did nothing but talk to the lady in front of him who had already played for her items! Not only that, but this lady didn't have a mask on, and 2 if her kids were just standing there eating fast food! Then, when he was getting impatient waiting, after about 5 mins of this, they gave HIM the dirty looks! This is unacceptable, not to mention extremely dangerous for immunocompromised people such as myself. Please take care of this because if it happens again, I will have to go over there myself, and none of us want that.

Family Dollar Willful refusal to provide payroll tax deferral

Family Dollar sent an announcement to employees say that they will not be deferring payroll taxes citing that it would be minimal beneficial to employees and it may impose a hardship stress and confusion on employees who will be required to repay the payroll tax at the 1st of the year, and it would be hard for their payroll department to defer these taxes. The payroll tax withholds 6.2% of you paycheck, which if you make $5, 000 over the next 4 month would mean you would be able keep $310 till the 1st of the year. I probably like many americans keep all my unused funds vested though I probably do better then most since I would be able to double that $310 to $620 and still continue to compound the interest on those funds years after the initial deferral. If find their whole explanation to be offensive, basically saying their employees are too stupid to manage their own cash registers much less managing their own money. I fail to see how it would be hard for payroll department to handle a simple deferment it's kind of expected that they are able to handle all matters of general accepted accounting practices.

Family Dollar Unprofessional manager

The manager who goes by the name Shiloh (I've never seen her with a name tag, but that's the name I've heard another employee call her by), is on her personal cell-phone every time I shop at this location. I don't mean to ease-drop, but it's very hard to miss what her conversations are about while on the phone. I usually shop for at least 20 minutes each time; she is on the phone when I enter the store and is still on the call when I'm checking out to leave. She has either been checking out a customer, doing a refund, or just walking around the store while on the phone with her Husband or with a friend talking gossip about her home life. It has made it difficult to get in and out of the store in a timely manner and makes me uncomfortable with some of the things she says. Plus, the shelves are so unorganized that I have to match the barcode label with the ones on the shelves just to make sure it's something I want to buy; most times I don't have time to check and have to pass up the buy and she is too busy on her phone to help or check item prices. I'm sorry to complaint but it's happen more than a dozen times now; it's every time she is working when I'm shopping.

No personal calls or personal cell-phones while on the clock and getting paid by Family Dollar to do a particular job title would be very helpful for customers who not only need assistance, but also who are in a hurry and don’t want to be anymore exposed due to the COVID-19 than they have to be. All employees should be wearing a mask at this dire time of a pandemic.

Family Dollar Hours

Almost all of these stores only issue 180 hours a week to run a small town store. This is not enough and can lead to hostility between employees and customers. The average store operates 105 hours a week. When means for 8-10 hours a day a single employee is on the clock to do all the work and run register if you ever been in one of these stores you know it's TRUE since you always have to wait in a long line and they simply do not have a 2nd associate to help reduce the lines. Associates are always mad as hell in those 8-10 hours a day by themselves cause they are somewhere trying to empty work carts of freight before the next truck arrives which according to store policy has to be stocked in less then 24 hours of arrival how exactly does that happen when the associate is constantly being what feels like harrassed by customers who want to be checked out. On average a store process 12 transactions an hour each transaction may usually only take a minutes but can go up to 3 minutes if a customer has a full shopping cart. People should boycott these stores during hours when the store has single person coverage for the entire store and should not end until these store start issuing 240 hours minimum to operate.

Family Dollar Possible rude and argumentative manager

Hi, my name is Tara Harriel and I visited your store for the first time at 1010 Perryhill Rd in Montgomery, AL. Upon entrance, there was no greeting. Once my daughter and I went to check out, the manager (no name tag) got rude and argumentative because I asked was he okay because he was nice to the white women in front of us. He approached me as if he wanted to get in my face and I had to ask him 3 times to gone on. He still kept being argumentive so I told him I was calling corporate and he said "I don't give a damn about this job, I make 65, 000 a year and they can fire me today if they want to. At that point I left.

Family Dollar Customers

While working the checkout yesterday a 60-something year old woman wearing a face covering and hollered from 20 ft away asking where the salt and pepper shakers were. I was checking out a 20-something year old woman not wearing a mask so all I could do was ask from the register did she want pre-filled or empty ones cause they are on different aisles. She hollered back but I couldn't understand what she was saying from 20 ft away and through a mask. I just hollered back prefilled at the end of aisle 32 empty at the end of aisle 27. She went and got the prefilled ones and came back to the checkout and started talking about something I still could not understand what she was saying while I still was checking out the 2020-something year old woman without any face coverings. The woman I was checking out said if your face covering works then you shouldn't have to worry about anybody else. The old woman said no one is talking to you, the young woman said it certainly sounded like it, the older woman said shut up and mind your own damn business, the young woman said I was minding my own business [censored], the older woman said shut up or i'll beat you damn [censored]. The young woman said go ahead you crazy [censored]. At this time I just finished running the young womans card and her transaction was complete and the young woman left the store. Now it was the older woman turn to checkout so she was close enough for me to understand her and she complained about family dollar not requiring face mask in there stores with such a spike in covid-19. I told her family dollar is only requiring associates and vendors wear face coverings, not customers. I quickly checked her out and she left.

Family Dollar/dollar Tree website is the worst I've encountered in over 25 years of online activities!
I call C.S., and that is a useless proposition. I'm done shopping at these stores, besides, Amazon sells the items cheaper, or at least the same price, having zero website complications, and, better C.S. representatives.
