My tires was low and saw this on Peachtree Industrial in Duluth. I asked how much to plug and he said 25 dollars. I then asked about balance and rotation and he said he could throw it in since they were doing the repair. When all was done came out and said his boss said he couldn't do it for that price and had to charge me 50 but would give me a 5 dollar off coupon. (like they were doing me a favor) To add insult to injury told me about lot of manure that it was law, It wasn't the money as much as the lie. If he couldn't do the job for the price he gave me he should have told me before he did they work. And by him scanning my card before he told me showed to me they must pull this often. I don't like liars and will not go back.

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers tires

I bought a set of Michelin Sport tires for my 2008 Mercedes S550 two years ago. The tires had 6000 milers on them. I brought the car in for service at the dealer and they noted that the incorrect size tires were on the rear of the car. Tire Engineers in Eunice La. (formerly Larrys Tire Service) had installed the wrong tires on the car. I brought the car to tire engineers with the original paperwork from the sale and informed them of the mistake. After several weeks of discussion the could only give me a 10% discount on 2 new replacement tires. I was willing to pay a prorated cost for the replacement tires. This did not happen. If it wasn't for there original mistake I would not have had to replace 2 perfectly good tires.

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers Air filter change

store at 4342 Washington Rd, Evans GA 30809. On March 3 2017 at 0506pm. My daughter visited your store to get a oil change and a air filter change on her 2014 Ford Focus which was running fine. Merchant id: ky13332127001/invoice number: [protected], She stared to have problems with her car on 8 March. Her car has went into the limp mode. As you can see by the two pictures of the filter in the filter compartment it is missing the rubber ring which connects it to the mass air flow sensor. Had to get another air filter as you can see on the 3 photo which compares the filters. the one on the left is the one that your store put into my daughters car. Notice the top of the filter is missing the rubber ring and the lip is chipped like someone removed the rubber ring before they installed it in the filter compartment which they stripped the connection. the filter on the right is one from the advance auto-notice it has the rubber ring. since the def filter that your store installed has cause several issues on the card which cause unfiltered air to enter her air intake system which started problems on her car, Ffirst made the car go into the limp mode(no faster the 45mph and rpm only up to 3000), idles high gives error codes p0171, p2227 and p061b which are all related around the air filter leaks, vaccum leaks, mass air flow issues. I believe and was also advised if the air filter was installed correctly we would not have caused all these problems. I will be visiting your store on March 11 2017 to speak to the manager at this store. hopefully we can get this problem resolved. There is a ford dealership across the street which the can be taken to get the problem resolve at the expense of this car service center.

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers Washer fluid

I almost never complain about service. And this might seem kind of trivial, but it is a potentially dangerous situation. The last two times I had my oil changed this winter [protected]), the windshield washer fluid they used froze when the temperature went into the upper 20s. If you are driving where salt is used on the roads (I drove north from Huntsville, AL...we don't use salt), you know how fast your windshield can become covered in salt. I complained a couple days ago, and the service technician said "look, the water's blue". It's not the COLOR they add to the water to lower its freezing point, it's the ALCOHOL...which seems to be almost non-existent. I told them to put in the computer to not add washer fluid to my car again. Express Oil Change is just asking for a lawsuit when someone gets in a wreck because the driver can't see through their windshield.

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers They said that it was impossible to fix the tires

I recently had a deal with the company Express Oil Change Decatur ALA. I have driven my car and their repair man said that it was impossible to fix the tires and he offered to buy new one. I didn’t have such sum with me, so I contacted my friend, who told me to bring the car to his salon. He fixed the tires and told that the company wanted to earn extra sum only.

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers Tire

Express oil change in Decatur, Alabama is ripping people off right and left.
They told me a lie about my tire could not be repaired and tried to sell me a set of 2 new tires and I said no and I went to my tire man and he told me it was not on the outside wall and he repaired it and showed me where the nail was. That is not the only time they tried to rip me off . They were 400.00 to 500.00 on replacing a simple part. This needs to be taken care of on there rip offs to people . The Decatur Alabama is where people are not paid high salaries and they cannot afford and too many people believe their crap they tell them. Especially women, but I don't trust businesses like Express Oil change plus they just ripped off my son 400.00 worth. This company is a piece of not trustworthy!I am going to post all over facebook and ruin you. I was a very well known insurance agent for 17 years and I know a lot of people!I will ruin you!

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers Bad Battery Still Under Warranty - No Help

I have a battery that I was manipulated into purchasing 2 1/2 months ago when my car suspiciously would not start after they changed my oil.My car was running fine before that oil change.

Anyways, the battery is now bad (tested at more than one part store) and they won't replace or give me my money back and I'm still under warranty. They are telling me I need to bring my car there. I cannot take the car because the battery will not even jump off for me to start the car. I have called the corporate office and waiting on VP to call me back.

This is ridiculous. How am I not owed a new battery or refund when I"m still under warranty. Warranty serves no purpose. I will NEVER go to one of their locations again after this mess.

And the guy there was very rude about the situation.I just want my money back and to never deal with them again.

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers Bad Oil Change

Read this carefully before going to an Express Oil Change.

On September 16, 2014, my truck received an oil change at the Cahaba Height location. My truck was then driven a few miles and parked until September 18, 2014 when I drove it to Talladega, Alabama. After I arrived in Talladega, the engine in my truck locked up and began making a terrible noise. My truck was then towed to Talladega Ford. Talladega Ford notified me that my truck had too much oil in it.

On Monday, September 22, 2014, I notified Mike (the Store Manager at Express Oil Change) of the situation. Mike was told what had been stated by Talladega Ford. Mike’s first response was to deny any responsibility. Mike then told me that, if I did not follow the procedures stated on the purchase receipt, Express Oil Change would not be responsible. Mike further informed me that I needed to tow my truck from Talladega Ford to Express Oil Change so that he could determine whether Express Oil Change was responsible. Mike refused to pay the towing cost. I notified Mike that I would be towing my truck to a mechanic of my choosing so that the cause of the damage to my truck could be determined. Mike again told me that Express Oil Change would not be responsible if I altered my truck in any way. I invited Mike and any concerned representatives of Express Oil Change to an inspection of my truck with my mechanic so that the cause and extent of the damage to my truck could be determined.

Despite the difficulty scheduling the inspection due to Mike’s busy schedule (including a training program that he said he couldn’t miss), the inspection went forward on October 1, 2014. Mike was the sole representative of Express Oil Change that attended the inspection. The oil level was first checked with the dip stick. It showed that the oil level was filled over the maximum limit. Mike expressed concern that Talladega Ford may have added oil to my truck while it was in their possession. The oil then was drained from the truck. Again, the amount of oil in the truck was more than the maximum limit. The oil was then filtered, which showed that there was metal in the oil suggestive of substantial engine damage. The owner’s manual for the truck was checked which read that overfilling could cause damage to the engine. Mike stated that he was unaware that overfilling a vehicle with oil could cause engine damage until he researched it on the internet prior to coming to the inspection. Mike stated that there would be an Express Oil Change company memo sent to all Express Oil Change employees informing them of what he learned. As agreed prior to the scheduling of the inspection, we were then going to pull the engine apart to inspect the extent of the damage. Mike stated that he didn’t have time to finish the inspection because he was short-handed back at the store and needed to leave. I clearly let Mike know that I was displeased since we had previously agreed to determine the extent of the damage. He responded by stating that he had a business to run. Mike then made a phone call to a person that he identified as an adjuster and confirmed that he was leaving and would not participate in the determination of the extent of the damage. I asked Mike to call back the adjuster to get the authority to provide me with a rental car. The adjuster refused because Mike said that they would first need to determine whether they were responsible. I asked what he planned to do to determine that issue, and he stated that he would get back with me.

As of October 16, 2014, I had not heard back from Mike or any representative of Express Oil Change. I therefore sent a letter requesting that Express Oil Change accept responsibility. The letter stated that I would move forward with seeking assistance of the court system if they had not notified me that they were accepting responsibility by October 20, 2014 at 5:00 pm. On October 20, 2014, I received a phone message from John Rutledge of Express Oil Change stating that someone from their insurance carrier would be in contact with me at some time in the future. I called John back expressing the urgency of the situation since I used my truck for business travel. He responded by stating that someone would get to me as soon as they could.

On October 22, 2014, I received a phone message from Leslie Patzer, a representative of Express Oil Change’s insurance carrier (AmTrust) in Dallas, Texas. I returned the phone call and left a message. I never heard back from Leslie. On Monday, October 27, 2014, I spoke with a representative from Custard Insurance Adjusters in Birmingham. I requested this representative to ask for authority from Express Oil Change’s insurance carrier to provide me with a rental car. The insurance carrier refused. This refusal is extremely frustrating.

On November 18, 2014, Leslie Patzer wrote me (in response to my frustration that AmTrust and Express Oil Change had done nothing to determine the extent of the damage to my truck despite my continued requests) stating that it was my responsibility to "prove my damages" and that I would have to deal with their attorney.

I have been more patient than most people would be since this all started. I have been more than cooperative with Express Oil Change and AmTrust. All that I have received in response form Express Oil Change is an unequivocal and unjustifiable denial of responsibility. I am concerned that others are being treated as shamefully as I have been.

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers Causes oil leak

On 09/11/2014 I took my car on my lunch break to have the oil
changed...7 days later the oil light was on in my car. Took it back and
was told we can't see where the leak is coming from so we will just put
more oil in it and spray some stuff on it to see where the oil leak is
coming from. Two days later the oil light is now back on. Took it back
was then told it was leaking from the gasket above the starter. Baloney
these people are rip off artist and I plan on taking them to small
claims court or wherever I need to get my money for taking my car to
another mechanic and the 50.00 I paid for the oil change...

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers Rip off

This place sucks i used to work there and they do not care about there employees at all all they care about is appearance and making the shop look good. You get ripped off all customers that go there are getting ripped off the dealership does not even charge as much to do the work they do up there. Do your research get a quote from there and take your car to the dealership and get a quote for the same exact service guaranteed it will be cheaper. Bottom line do not take your car there unless you want to get ripped off and get low grade parts from auto zone installed on your car with a 300% mark up on parts plus $80 per hour labor charges half of the brake work i done there cam back within 6 months with shaking or squealing from the poor quality brake rotors and pads that we put on vehicles and charged over dealer price for . Thats dealership prices with shade tree quality work and miscellaneous shop fees. Half the "mechanics" that work there are not ase certified when they advertise the mechanics are certified installing the auto zone brakes on your car for $300 or more!. The upper management threatens to fire anyone over the slightest mishap that goes on so the employees are on constant worry about being terminated for making a honest mistake no matter how minor it is. Now lets get to the oil change part itself.. $45 bucks for a basic oil change with bulk oil does that seem just a tad bit high priced? Yes it is. But they insist that its a fair price for the service that you are receiving by washing your front window with dirty soapy water and spraying your doors with oil and grease everytime you get your oil changed.. Cars these days do not need the doors sprayed every 3 months.. They preach to the employees about not upselling anything to the customer that they do not need but yet if we do not meet our weekly target they chew us out and magically everyone is trying to sell air filters or transmission services that next week... They have categories that each store has to meet and if lets say they are down on fuel filters this week then every customer that comes in magically needs a fuel filter that week and try to sell them that service if not throwing the whole book at them if its a elder person or a female. Also they say they lube the chassis and check the differential fluid maybe 4 cars out of 80 get that done that come in each day just depends if the manager is in "the pit" or not. $35 bucks for some $10 wiper blades? Come on! I hated every part of working at that place i do not like to rip people off and certainly do not feel like its fair to the customers that they do not know the inside details. I am fortunate enough to have got myself a much better job where i do not feel like my work "owns" me and having to worry about being terminated everyday i come in. This is just some information i just wanted to pass along to the general public yes its a "10 minute" oil change but is $45 worth it to you? Also dont let me forget about the upselling of premium oil the "max life" oil that does absolutely nothing for your engine it does not whatsoever stop oil leaks or oil consumption at all its all a joke and waste of extra $15 bucks all that stuff does is gunk up your engine over time. The $80 synthetic oil change thats even worse!

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers - Bad Service

I went to Express Oil Change on June 18, 2010 to have my oil changed. While I was there, the mechanic said my husband was behind me. I told him I was not married. I also heard the person in the pit telling someone to leave this area is for employees only. I was told my car would leak oil for a while. I noticed alot ot oil on the ground and a very loud odor...

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers Ruined my 2004 dura max

This location changed the oil in the transfer case in my Dura Max Desiel and ruined it, at a cost of 2100.00 dollars. I had oil samples taken to make sure that it was their service work that did the damage. And it came back they were the cause of the damage. I contacted the owner RON CURRIN several times to resolve this situation. And early on in our talks he did agree to tow and service the truck if I would buy the new 1400 dollar part. I refused. At that point he said call his lawyer and would not have any part of trying to resovle the issue. I have filed a claim in small claims court, so we will see. But I had hard evidence that his shop was at fault and he still refused to take care of the problem, leaving me will the bill and no vehicle to drive. Please do not use this shop, they will not stand behind the work they do, even when you prove they made a mistake.

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers Ruined my vehicle

In March 2008, I took my 1997 Chevy truck into Express Oil in Leeds, Al for a simple oil change. Upon completion, the truck would not start. The mechanic without using a diagnostic machine said it was a fuel pump. They tried to charge an outrageous price so I went across the street & purchased the part at Auto Zonefor less than half the price. Express Oil agreed to install the fuel pump. The mechanic on duty improperly installed the fuel pump resulting in a power surge to the truck which caused severe damage to the entire electrical system. In the beginning, the manager, Tony, verbally admitted to the mistake & proceeded to keep our truck for a total of 5 weeks while they repaired all the electrical parts they seemed to believe they damaged. I have copies of the receipts as to what they repaired. Since then, we have continued to have electrical problems & this truck has had to be towed back to them countless times for repair.

They are now tired of dealing with us & the problem they created. They have become very non compliant & have told us to hire a lawyer. Prior to Express Oil working on our vehicle, we had a vehicle we could count on to get our employees from one job to another. Now we have a vehicle we can't count on at all.

We are hiring a lawyer & plan to sue Express Oil for damages & loss of use of a company vehicle. They have been rude to say the least.

My personal recommendation to anyone dealing with this company is to run away as fast as possible. They will ruin your vehicle!

And thankgod the tire didn't come off. My husband also has a 1995 Chevy caprice. They replaced the water filter one week to turn around a week later to find oil all in my garage because the distributor housing unit had went out. I don't understand what the hell. We find all this out when I take it to Goodyear. Oh and did I mention the water pump and thermostats they put on was defective as well. We are waiting for Bill the GM TO CALL AND HE HASNT CALLED YET. MY HUSBAND HAD TO COME ALL THE WAY HOME FROM AFGHANISTAN TO DEAL WITH THIS!

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers Incomplete service

On August 4th 2008, I went to Express Oil Change and Service Center at 60 willow lane, McDonough, GA for an oil change. 20 miles after leaving the service center my engine started smoking heavily, the temp needle went to super hot and my check engine light came on. I got off the highway only to find there was no radiator fluid in the radiator. It was bone dry. I was told by another mechanic; I may have engine damage resulting from the lack of fluid. He said they should have checked all the fluids when doing an oil change.

I went back to Express Oil Change and Service Center at 60 willow lane, McDonough, GA to inform them that I will sue to recoup any damages resulting from their negligence. The manager verbally abused me, in the presence of a customer. Another employee told me to get that piece of crap off his lot in five minutes, or he will have it towed.

Please stay far away from Express Oil Change and Service Center at 60 willow lane, McDonough, GA. They are an accident waiting to happen and it will not be in your best interest.

Will.

On 11/03/2015 Express Oil Change destroyed the engine in my SRX by dropping a broken spark plug down into the cylinder. A used engine from a salvage yard was installed in my vehicle by Bullard Cadillac in Mobile without testing it. This used engine is junk and EOC refuses to restore my SRX to its prior running condition.

also I will add on the pump on your truck being outrageous in price... they are a business to make moneynot the salvation Army giving hand outs and I am positive that if you brought it to a dealership their price would have been alot more. If you buy your own parts though there is no warranty... I do direct your attention to the following fact that there is allways to sides to every story.

They check the coolant level in the reservour. If it was really low they would check your radiator that is how it is done. No way this happened they way you explained. Too many times people always want to play the victim and not take ownership they may just be driving a piece of crap... and because you FINALLY get it serviced after all of the neglect you gave your car, expect miracles. The guy with the pump on his truck, they really sounded like they did you wrong. They should just turn it over to the dealership if they can't get your truck fixed. The guy on the Mercedes, that is unfortunate. Ya know I realize perception is eveyones reality, however you also have to realize they hire humans. I don't see how they could have taken something loose and not put something back though like they were suppose to. If anything resulted into your mercedez being Express oils fault, if you brought it to there attention they would make good on it.

I don't like to complain, but sometimes its necessary to help others avoid similar incompetence. I liked Express Oil change McDonough for years because of their easy location and quick service. I used them regularly for oil changes for two of our cars with no problems. These two cars are easy to change the oil in, nothing complicated. Then having mistakenly assumed competence, I took a Mercedes in to have the oil changed. Bad mistake. Please don't take anything to Express Oil that requires more than you can do in your driveway if you had the time. If it requires more than opening a drain plug and unscrewing a filter, pay a little more, wait a little longer at a specialist or dealer. It will cost way less in the long run. Express Oil techs incorrectly removed and incorrectly reinstalled vital system components that resulted in engine failure according to Mercedes-trained mechanics I have had review the situation. I gave Express Oil the benefit of the doubt initially until these expert mechanics pointed out the details of how the parts were incorrectly reattached and why it is vital they are attached properly. Though I will not use them again for any vehicle, if you have a simple oil change, they may be okay to use. Keep in mind if something is done incorrectly their corporate culture is to deny any wrongdoing and make the customer out to be a person who "blames others for their mistakes." This can be avoided by not making the "mistake" I did by taking my Mercedes there.

May 2008. I used Express Oil in Leed, Al. Took my work truck in for an oil change. After completion, the truck wouldn't start. The mechanic on duty, Lee, diagnosed it without even putting it on a diagnostic machine as being a fuel pump. They tried to sell me a fuel pump at an outrageus price. I went across the street to Advance Auto & bought the needed part at a much cheaper price. The mechanic improperally installed the part, he either didn't disconnect the battery power or connected a hot to a hot instead of a ground & burned out all the wiring in the truck. The manager verbally admitted to me they were responsible & kept the truck for 5 weeks while they replaced several electrical parts. I have the receipts to prove the damage they did & the responsibilitythat they assumed. Since then, I have continued to have problems with this vehicle. I can't even use it for work purposes because it continues to leave our workers stranded. It has been towed countless times back to them for repair. The truck is still not repaired properly & now Express Oil refuses to make good on their mis-repair. The manager is refusing to cooperate anymore at this point. He was rude with myself & my wife & told us to hire a lawyer. We are in the process of suing them right now.

Lesson learned, DONT EVER LET ESPRESS OIL TOUCH YOUR VEHICLE!
