ExploreTrip they cancelled my flight!

I have booked a flight via ExploreTrip and everything seemed fine. They took my money and I received all the necessary information. I was preparing for my trip and the last moment I decided to check my bank statement and found out that some extra money appeared on my account! I contacted ExploreTrip and was told that my booking was cancelled! They never bothered to contact me and I had no idea that even happened! I already booked a hotel in London but I had no plane ticket! These guys ruined my entire vacation! I'm glad that they returned my money, but still! Never again!

ExploreTrip horrible!

I purchased a ticket from this site. But unfortunately I had to cancel my reservation because I had some problems with health. I was too ill to travel. They said they'll give me a refund, but I'll need to pay $300 fee. I told that I wont be paying anything because I have a legitimate excuse and I can send them a doctor's certificate to prove that. They said okay, that they will be waiting for me to discuss it in person. I told that I will send them everything via email, because I can't go outside and am barely able to move. I did all they asked! I've submitted all the necessary documents including my prescription and diagnosis reports. But they are so slow and looks like they don't want to give my money back. They cancelled my flight, but didn't gave me a refund. I received a message two weeks ago, that they still need time and I'll be informed about the decision. But I'm sure there will be no refund. Well, it will cost them more if I wont get my money! I promise that!

I recently purchased a round trip flight for myself and my fiancé for our honey moon. I was given a confirmation in writing of the price I was supposed t be paying, but when I checked my credit card statement they have OVERCHARGED more than 200.00 EXTRA to my credit card. At first they took my call and promised to rectify the problem within the next two hours! They never followed through with anything and have since stopped answering my calls. I got scammed because I thought these people had simply made a mistake and were prepared to make me the customer happy. All these people want to do is cheat hard working people out of their money. NEVER! NEVER! NEVER!...did I make my self clear...EVER! In ANY WAY EVER USE THIS SITE IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY WHERE IT BELONGS, , , , IN YOUR WALLET. DON'T SAY THAT YOU HAVE NOT BEEN WARNED

ExploreTrip these people are thieves, pure and simple

These people are thieves, pure and simple. The messed with my order, trying to jack up the price. Then eventually they said, "Sorry, we couldn't book the flight for you." This was only 24 hrs before the scheduled flight!

Later, I discovered that they HAD charged my account despite having not issued the ticket. That, in my book, is thievery. I am trying in vain to recover the funds.

I booked roundtrip tickets with exploretrip many times and had no issue at all everytime I book with them I get my confirmation within minutes of my booking.

ExploreTrip the worst experience we had in our life

The worst experience we had in our life! Never had to deal with people like the employees at this place. Please stay away if you can! Nightmare! We booked the tickets with them in may that were $5, 400.00 for 4 people traveling different dates. They tried to charge my credit card for over $45, 000.00, when we called them they just laughed at us. I had to close my credit card and dispute the charge that they put on credit card for one of the tickets. Its been over 2 months and we are still dealing with them. Stay away!

ExploreTrip stay away from these crooks for a thousand miles

Basically exploretrip.com people are crooks and liars. I had to cancel my ticket due to illness of my girlfriend. We had ticket insurance, but getting it requires a letter from the ticket seller that we didn't get anything back. Explore trip first said we need to pay additional $600 and wait for the month and they will return the money. Then they didn't return anything and promised in e-mail to send the letter. Then after 15 more phone calls they said they will not send the letter which means i don't get anything form insurance. Every time you call, they lie that the manager is out and he will call and he never calls. In the end they offered to give us credit on explore trip, which means for sure that they got money back from the airline but wouldn't give it back to us. Stay away from these crooks for a thousand miles. We will.

ExploreTrip exploretrip.com is a scam

Exploretrip.com customer service sucks. Booked a flight from exploretrip.com online. Later, no reply from them. When i called, they said, airlines increased the fare. That is too false. When the booking was made, they took my credit card details.
Guys, beware of the scam. Lost patience in calling exploretrip.com customer service.
Although it is few bucks cheaper, better go with any website that you feel genuine.

I have never been disappointed in this site and I have always been treated well, professionally, and courteously. And I have been aided many times over the years when I sought extra advice or assistance from exploretrip while booking long flights. A GREAT COMPANY! I wish I could give exploretrip.com more than five stars!

As a former travel consultant for international consolidated tickets, I thought how bad could they really be with the lowest fare offered online? Think again, it was by far the most traumatic experience besides giving birth and getting divorced! It was the worst experience. I am filing a complaint with the BBB. I will also contact the AG office in our state. Never book with these guys. I lost 6 hours in two days fighting with these awful people. Do yourself a favor, pay 100 more a ticket and save yourself the aggervation!

ExploreTrip booked us on a different flight and did not tell us

I was really excited to find cheap flights on ExploreTrip's site from Washington DC to San Francisco and then to Sydney. But the day before the flight I tried to do an online check-in and learned that I was placed on a different flight than my ticket said: it was 8, 5 hours later! It totally ruined my plans, so I kept calling the customer service to see if they could still issue me the original ticket. First they blamed the airline but when I talked with the airline, they explained that ExploreTrip had made a mistake and not confirmed our booking with the airline on time, and then they had confirmed a different flight without telling me! Despite the promises of the customer service to put me on another flight, they never returned to the calls. Later, we wrote and official complaint and got no reply at all. Not only the failed to communicate to us that they made a mistake, but also the failed to provide even most basic customer service. I am just happy that they did not put me on a flight 8, 5 hours earlier!

ExploreTrip charged extra money

Exploretrip.com is the worst experience i've ever had in my life! I have bought a round-trip ticket through them for $549 (After all the taxes and fees). The confirmation came right away, somehow not stating the price. Next day i've checked my bank account to find out that they have charged me $589 instead. I called them and they told me that i bought the ticket for this price and sent me the itinerary. I went to their site, found the same flight to see the $552 price. I told the peson i was speaking with (Sam) to connect me to the manager. He wasn't available and i had to call back several times that week to finally get ahold of him. The manager (Arthur) explained the mistake as some glitch in the system, because charges went up and i got charged later that day (When their site was still showing $552?) so he said he can either refund the ticket or send me a $20 refund as an excuse. By that time it was late to buy a ticket from another site - the prices were already higher, so i agreed to $20. It's been 2 months after they were supposed to send it and the check hasn't come in yet. I've called them several times and they either say that the manager is not available or simply hang up on me. I'll file the complaint with better business bureau, too.

I found great deal.Exploretrip is really awesome. 2 months back, i had a trip to Singapore from New York and than i went to Nepal. After that i came back to New York. Travel agencies were asking for $1700 for whole trip but i found deal of $1000 in Exploretrip.Thank you very much for saving my money and providing great service :-)

Apparently Sam and Mike are the only call center employees. Tried to book a flight to Africa, they sent an email asking for a photo copy of the credit card, front and back, a copy of my passport or driver license (front and back for drivers license) and when we contested the sending of this information they stated that it was for security reason and wouldn't accept any other options. We ended up cancelling the booking, also the price they quoted over the phone was $200 more than what I booked! I don't recommend that anyone use this company. They don't appear to be legitimate at all.

There is something fishy about ExploreTrip.com website. I priced out the exact same itenerary for 3 passengers on 3 different browsers at the exact same time and this is the result that I got - Firefox - $2, 694; Chrome - $2, 705 and IE - $ 2, 725. I repeated the test on day 2 and again got the exact same results. Leads me to believe that ExploreTrip is rigging prices based on browser used.

I recently booked tickets to India (from USA) through ExploreTrip and my overall experience was okay. I found this website through another air-fare site online. They certainly did have the lowest airfare among all sites i visited (incl Kayak, Vayama, Orbitz, Hotwire, Webjet etc). While i read some mixed reviews from other fellow travellers regarding their ticketing experience with ExploreTrip, i decided to take my chances due to their lowest fare. Two things that i recommend others to keep in mind- First, ExploreTrip's booking website doesn't seem to be compatible with Firefox. I would hit submit after putting in all my details and the system would not process my request and would return the same page with all my details cleared out. This happened 3 times which is when i decided to try Internet Explorer that worked rightaway. Second, while you get a reference # immediately (i booked my ticket at 1am), I had to wait 15hrs post booking to get an airline e-ticket #. I was worried (given the mixed reviews about ExploreTrip) about not receiving an e-ticket # and I called the customer support center 2 times. I spoke to either a Sam or a Mike and while they answer your phone call, they did not do a good job in assuaging my worries. The first time i was told that i would get an e-ticket # by 12pm EST since the booking engines at 1am do not work (not sure if this is true) and the next time i was told that booking system was slow and i would get my ticket by 6pm EST. Was a little harried since i felt i was losing time and money (not getting a satisfying answer) in booking a ticket at an affordable price from an alternate website. However, i did get my e-ticket # and i cross-checked my ticket on the airline's website and everything turned out okay. So maybe what i was told was true and my worries were misplaced but overall thumbs up to ExploreTrip for the price. Oh yeah, these guys are based out of India (atleast, the call center is). Will try them again. SV

Please avoid this website like the plague!!! Its 'cheap' fares are quite simply bogus and above all it doesn't deliver you a ticket, even if you pay full, high prices for tickets.
