Experian Information Solutions charges x2 for a free credit check

I answered a free credit check site and have since then been charged $ 19.95 twice. I did not sign up for charges, nor a monthy check. I am retired, on a fixed income and have no need for credit checks. I contest these charges and will not pay them. Barbara Hardwick 9104 Mountain View Rd s.e. Yelm Wa. [protected]

I spent 3 years .[age 55 & 60]..often working 8 hrs/day trying to fix our credit reports...The details of CRA reporting and their tricks has been defined by history, the courts, & by tens of thousands of people's experiences...BUT...THEY DON'T CARE! I even had a judge rule that my husband had NOTHING to do with a "judgment" but TU kept reporting.. the women at the courthouse were EXASPERATED!...probably 6 times it was removed and put back on. Our main bank got so angry at TU for sending the same paperwork to their bank (every time you send in info on an issue...TU will shoot out another set of paperwork to the creditor...NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO. The last time they sent it to our bank, the bank president told us "you'll be sorry" -------and ONE day after all our accounts were reporting correctly------TWENTY SIX (YES 26!) POSITIVE accts were deleted by the bank! (the bank NEVER REPORTED one acct as paid and dropped scored 75 points!...FINALLY it dropped off) ...but the more I disputed the more positive accts would disappear. Transunion has a MAJOR, HUGE data base right in their offices but they are called the "kings of redundancy" because they will keep sending the same paperwork over and over and over again...just trying to wear people down. My mid name is "persistence" but that does not serve you at all with this bunch! Experian started putting my calls on a loop thru caller ID so I could NEVER get a live person. All of the reps who take the complaints by phone have thick foreign accents so you feel your communicating is being lost...it is! Those that repair the reports off of these calls have to finish hundreds in a single day! Out the window with any care for "correctness"...forget that! There is soooooo much to know in their tricky reporting and the different data that is most important to each bureau...one is the "date closed", one is "paid date", etc. IT'S MORE COMPLICATED THAN YOU COULD EVER IMAGINE! ONE TIME I GOT AN AMERICAN REP FROM EXPERIAN that spoke to me for probably 8 minutes & she told me more than tens x tens of others did combined. My last fax to TU was 40+pages long! NEVER A SINGLE RESPONSE! The only way to fight these powerful evildoers...is in the courts. I contacted the #1 credit atty in Chicago...sent probably 15 lbs of paperwork to him...and I don't think he ever even looked at it! See anything complicated takes too much time and they can make faster money! I got a call back from another atty's office thinking I had a car accident & wanted to go after the auto maker...when I told 'em "CRA reporting" he hung up and said another dept would call...NOT EVER! I do know a woman in Orlando was awarded $10 million...bec TU had intertwined her identity with that of a drug lord's for 10 years! I even contacted that atty out in OR & he said he didn't have the time! There's no winning...the longer you try...the more they'll destroy your report. I bought every credit reporting product out there not knowing they were all worthless...ONLY your exact reports from FICA will do you any good. 1 Report did give me IN ORDER which different accts were negatively effecting our scores...that was the page that EDUCATED ME ABOUT WHAT WAS REALLY GOING ON. CAPITAL ONE reports, on purpose, all info so that it will have maximum negative effect! ...and now they are taking over, it seems, countless card cos. & they are becoming are becoming Capital One too! I bought TU's TrueCredit product & I thought it was reporting in "real time" & they told me no differently!...anyway...I thought $12k accts from '70 showing balances when there were none...so, I made a horrible mistake disputing them when our scores would NEVER CHANGE on TrueCREDIT...EVER... Scores dropped 20 pts that day! .& we had 2 mtgs reporting at $176, 00 instead of one AND showing a balance. When I disputed they deleted the incorrect one...I told them...then they deleted the OTHER...now both GONE and no one knows how to report again! STORY AFTER STORY AFTER STORY LIKE THAT! Random old JCP acct disappeared...OLD phone Acct disappeared! Etc x 100! enough to make one CRAZYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!

Experian Information Solutions Unauthorized charges

I signed up for the "$1.00 FREE Credit Report." I was charged the $ 1.00 plus $17.95 after seven days. I was in a hurry when I signed up & didn't read the contract before I hit "accept." I called the company & spoke to a woman with a Latino accent, named "Bullet"...REALLY! She cancelled my subscription after about 10 minutes(I'm sure I'm exaggerating, LOL), but she did not refund the $17.95 that was debited from my account. The number I called is; [protected]. I wanted everyone to have this phone number so you can have a nice conversation with a lady named "Bullet". Lesson learned; read all contracts thoroughly, BEFORE hitting the accept button. Have a superb day & tell "Bullet" I said Hello!

Experian Information Solutions BOGUS CREDIT REPORTING CHARGES ON BANK STATEMENT - SEE SOLUTION BELOW!

I hope I can help someone with the same problem. After some digging I discovered that the charge is coming from creditreport.com not experian. I just spoke with creditreport.com The reason they are continuing to charge you is because they have a relationship with all of the banks and cc companies so when you change your card or get a new expiration date, etc the banks automatically update them with the new number. To get this fixed call creditreport, com at [protected]. Give them the credit or debit card number that the charge is associated with and they will pull up all charges associated wiith it. They will refund all of the charges to you if in fact the accounts that were opened with your card are not yours which is most likely the case.. Then make sure they block your card and those accounts so no more charges get through. Apparently someone skimmed our debit card number and used it to get three different credit reports for people we do not know. I spoke with a very professional lady named Charity who explained all of this to me in detail. In addition I discovered why there is so much fraud associated with this site. They only ask people to enter the cc number and the exp date, not security. Also they do not make sure the billing address or name matches the card number. In this day and age I find this incredibly irresponsible behavior for a merchant. They obviously are not concerned with fraud and those consumers who are adversely affected by this. Please do the above first and then once your refund goes through cancel that card and start fresh again. I hope this will do the trick for you. Good Luck!

Vences Says its NOT a scam - very snotty remark! It is a scam, because it's impossible to cancel this ongoing charge without the above mentioned precise records. Experian does NOT give a clear path or phone number to cancel this expense. They have limited hours to call and even with the correct information, you may not easily be able to get a response. By the way, once you get through, you may likely run out of time to wait for help. Once you do get through, you may get cut off before getting this process is completed.
This IS a Scam!

I have had the same experience as the rest.
First you sign up for $1.00 with
- MyCreditHealth.com -
You sign in and establish a username and you need a password.
- Even if you remember both username and password with the origional site to login to the Experian site where your bill comes from:
- Experian*creditreportinfoExD.comCA -
If you log in to this site, it will not accept your username and password from MyCreditHealth.com.
Go back to the origional site and you will get this Phone number plus an address. This is the only way you may cancel - Use this Ph #:

It's not a scam, when you signed up to view your credit report for $1 and you checked that you have read the terms and service agreements, it states in there that AFTER your free trial for $1, you will be billed monthly. You need to go back on the site where you signed up for it in order to cancel it. READ your terms and services before accepting anything for FREE.

Experian Information Solutions Fraud charges

I just recently observed charges on my checking account of $16.95 from Experian. When I called to see who authorized these charges I was told that an account was opened with all my information since October 2011, even when I have never opened an account with Experian to check my credit report. During this conversation the customer service representative on the phone began laughing and found it funny that I was disputing $16.95. This was not a one time charge I've been apparently been charged this amount every month since October. Of course now i'm being told that its was a non-refundable fee. My issue is not paying the $16.95 a month that really doesn't effect my bank account at all, what does make me upset is the customer service provided by Experian. Specifically the employee who called her self "Alex". Alex a little heads up be mor professional when you deal with customers because you never know who they may know with Experian that me cost you your professional career. Just an FYI to those who are part of Experian seems more like a scam than anything else. I've been paying $16.95 since October and not once have i ever received a credit report, either by email or by mail.

I too have had unauthorized charges. Someone used my credit card number with a different name and Experian still processed it. When I called them, they said the name doesn't have to match the card. What a shock. This has happened with 3 different cards. With so many complaints, can't something be done. This is awful.

I've just discovered a recurring debit to my checking for this same 19.95 that others are reporting. My bank is treating like fraud and have cancelled my debit card of course. But I never used it to buy this service and of course am panicked that someone had the debit card number. I haven't even gotten through to Experian yet, have to work, but will follow up with them myself even though the bank is going to. Why someone would steal my debit card number to charge Experian credit protection to me is pretty baffling. And kinda unbelievable. Someone inside Experian doing this ? I just can't figure out they got my debit card which I don't use online. Such stress, who needs this.

Experian Information Solutions New Fraud Scam

Experian billed us $14.95 on 11/22/11. 12/22/11, 1/22/12 and 2/22/12 for a total of $59.80 on our Citi Visa Card. We NEVER subscribed to any services from Experian and we protested these charges that were refunded on 03/08/12. Then, the next day (3/09/12) Experian again billed us $14.95 and on 3/11/12 an additional $19.95, both on a Citi MasterCard that was never used since the beginning on October 2011. When I called Experian, they said four people used my one credit card number and eight different people used my other credit card number. I asked them, “If you know many other people are using our cards and the cards of other innocent victims, why do you bill the real owners of the cards who have never even contacted you for any services?” I also asked, “Why do you not require people who sign on for your so-called ‘Free Credit Report’ to include the security code on the back of the card to insure that someone is not using another person’s card without authorization?” Their lame responses to these questions led me to conclude that Experian has devised a new fraud scheme that could yield them hundreds of millions of dollars if they are not stopped. Because Experian is billing thousands of people who have never contacted Experian for credit reports or fraud protection services, they are collecting money monthly from thousands of people who (unlike us) do not know they are being ripped off. When I typed in "$19.95 $14.95 Experian" in a search engine, I was led to a number of websites (complaintsboard.com, consumeraffairs.com, scambook.com, /link removed/ and complaintwire.com) in which several people submitted reports that replicated the exact experience I had. After researching this matter, I have come to the conclusion Experian intentionally does not ask people for the security code on the back of their credit cards because they want to use credit card numbers of people like ourselves whom they bill without even having our names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses and other contact information in their files. This arrangement can provide them with DENIABILITY which they did not have when the FTC fined them in 2005 for deceptive and fraudulent marketing.

Experian Information Solutions Credit Card Scam

Experian is an on-line credit report agency that monitors your credit monthly for a fee. I used them a long time ago and cancelled my account when I found a much more reasonable one. About six months later a reoccuring charge showed up on my visa from Experian. When I called they said my credit card number was being used by a Chris and Chad and that they had somehow gotten access to it. I had to tell the customer service rep when it started so he could credit all the charges they had done. Luckily, it was only 3 charges, but it could have been much worse. Cancelled the card and will never use them again! Pass the word!

I have been laid up for several months, but I am now starting to catch up on expenses/ charges. I notice that EXPERIAN continues to hit my credit card with a $18.01 charge every month. I thought I had this stopped before I got sick, OBVIOUSLY NOT ! The last time I used their service was 11/08/11. Short of getting legal representation, what do I need to do in order to get this stopped ?

I am not surprised, add to the above they have a marketing company sending spam emails called CheetahMail. Experian is also behind spam campaigns. I receive the unsolicited emails from two ip ranges which I have monitored for months now 63.236.77.nnn and 8.7.43.nnn are also reported by other people over the net and have been blacklisted in various SBLs. They make profit using shady methods.

Experian Information Solutions Continued charges on credit card after I have cancelled service

I have cancelled the credit reporting service with Experian on my credit card.
I spoke with someone directly with Experian. Now, I am getting billed with the same amount on my credit card, but the line on my credit card only states" Experian *CreditReport InfoExD.com CA" and does not give a telephone number to call, no 800 number to call. There is no other company, location or address information given either. The web site I have given here leads to this web site for complaints. I have contacted my credit card company. If they do not get involved as well, I will be closing my Chase credit card as well. If I do not get resolution within 30 days, I will report this to the Better Business Bureau and to the FTC. Thank you.

Experian Information Solutions Won't remove a creditor

Felco Auto lease is reporting fraudulent information on my credit report and i have no way to contact Felco Auto lease. They do not list a correct phone number or address.I tried to call them but the number was no good. I sent them a letter and it was returned incorrect address.I have tried several times to get this removed and Experian will not remove Felco from my report.I have called Experian to get a correct address and phone number and they don't have one either. This is not fair to me it is ruining my credit and I want them removed.
