We think there might be reasons for the company's actions (like not knowing about the complaints), and we would be happy to see them among customer-focused businesses that easily solve customer problems. Etsy Items are not received by date shown on invoice

I have purchased several items that are promised by a certain date. After purchasing, I’m informed that these items will be delivered at a much later timeframe. I reached out to a seller about a due date and they claimed they had to hand make the item. When it arrived, it was clearly not handmade.

I can’t email or call Etsy For support.

I have closed my account and done with a platform that doesn’t provide help when it’s needed to the buyer.

Desired outcome: Etsy needs to provide support to the buyer and be accessible through email or phone.

This cabinet was sent back to the shipper by fedex. I sent the shipper that information and asked that he send me another replacement cabinet that is packaged in a more sturdy box. I like the small white cabinet that arrived and therefore still want the large black one. The seller said I had to pay the shipping price again. I called the federal express number and they said customs sent notice to the seller that he was missing paperwork and the seller never responded to customs so the cabinet was sent back. The seller refunded me the purchase price but I was out the $125.00 shipping costs. Beware of where that Etsy item is coming from. It came from Turkey.

i bought i rug from RUGS4DECOR order number [protected] it was the wrong colour rugs sent me an email saying i can have a full refund i sent it back by post office received by them on the25/1/2022 and signed for post office number NV903230775GB repeated sent messages and talked to chat line who was going to sort this for me this has gone on for to long i paid for the return £4.30 can you please sort this for you on one has got back to me

Etsy Kitsugi Planet -Order no [protected] - never received

I ordered an item (Kit Kintsugi with Gold and Silver included. DIY) on Feb 5th. The estimated delivery date was Feb 24th. On 4th Mar, I contacted the seller (Mary Johnson) on Etsy to inform that my order was not here yet. I got a reply that they will look into it. Then I waited again. On 10th March, I get an email from Etsy informing that my order was delivered. But I never received it. Not even my neighbours, I checked the tracking order, it reached the sorting center in Penang, that was it. On the same day, I informed the seller again. The seller replied they will checked with Etsy. On Mar 13th, I messaged the seller again, but no reply. So I opened a case on the same day with Etsy. Today (Mar 14th) I get an email from Etsy saying they have closed the case because my order has been delivered.

I was so frustrated. I then chatted with Etsy and spoke to Justine today (14 Mar, Malaysian time, 1 pm). He/she finally just said that I should speak to the seller and the shipping company. I asked for the shipping company used or the signature of image proof of the delivery. Nothing could be provided. They just use the typed in information in their system that the item was delivered, and stop there. Now the seller has gone silent and there is no way for me to know which shipping company in Malaysia to contact. It is not my duty as the buyer in the first place, to do all this tracking. I am so disappointed.

Desired outcome: I want my refund of RM148 for the item I never received plus another RM150 that I had to spend to get another gift on time because of Etsy.

Etsy Shadowy seller takes money. Cannot contact. No product being delivered.

March 4th 2022, ordered thru Etsy a linen top. Money deducted from my bank account same day. Have yet to receive any confirmation of order having been received by seller, or any confirmation from Etsy about the transaction. I have no info about who the seller is, but my money but my money is now in the hands of someone unknown, as yet.

My bank account shows that the money has been deducted from my account but there is no record of who r3ceived the money. I would assume that Etsy keeps records of all sellers and will hopefully know who received the funds that I sent. Thank you.

Etsy FeelsGreatHomeDecor

On 1/18/22 I ordered a Queen sized Duvet Cover from Feels Great Home Decor. It was described as being constructed of cotton/polyester material. It was delivered on 2/8/22. The top of the duvet was not cotton/polyester but a microfiber. (They have since changed the description on their site). I contacted Zoe on 2/8/22 as soon as I saw the duvet and asked for a refund since the description was not as advertised, and she refused. It clearly says on their site that they would accept returns for everything but intimate items. I would not consider a duvet cover an intimate item. In addition the construction was poor using a basting length stitch for construction and the microfiber top layer was factory made. This is definitely not anything that I would expect to be sold on Etsy. I was leaving on vacation the next day, and this is the first chance I have had to address this issue. I would like a refund. I am having a hard time uploading the screenshot that I made of their policy. I hope that you can read it. In case you can't, I have copied, and pasted the policy as is shown below. Thank You,

Etsy Enova home flower arrangements

On Jan. 25th I placed an order for 5 flower arrangements. Received the arrangements on Jan. 31st. They were not the ones I ordered. I called the shipper, explained the situation & a gentleman said he would be happy to make the exchange when I returned the unwanted flowers. I returned the unwanted order on Feb. 1st thru FedEx. FedEx said that they would be delivered by Feb. 7th. FedEx lost the package, and it was found and finally delivered on Feb. 14th. I included all my necessary personal information along with the order number and to date I have not heard from anyone. I am including the original order # in the hopes that this would help in finding my package. Order # [protected]

Appreciate any assistance in resolving this issue. If these arrangements are no longer available a refund would be appreciated.

I needed these arrangements for a women's luncheon. When they were not forth coming, I ordered another 5 flower arrangements. I believe that when I was inquiring about the unresolved order, a message kept coming up that my order was received on Feb. 17th. That was relating to the 2nd flower order.

Desired outcome: Since I had to order another set of flowers for the luncheon, I no longer have need of the 1st order. If the flowers haven't been shipped a refund would be appreciated. If the flowers have been shipped, that's Ok too.

Etsy Etsy Star Seller is flawed

Sellers need 19/20 reviews in any review session to get 95% reviews to qualify for a "Star Seller" status (the purple star icon).

Reviews are far and few in between. Lower the floor.

Etsy Item Purchased

I purchased an item, made the payment. The seller shipped with some foreign shipping company which then transferred the package to USPS. I received a notice on my door that I had to sign for the item, or I could enter the tracking # on USPS website and have them leave the item without a signature. After multiple attempts to get the tracking information from the seller, and contacting Etsy for assistance, I never received anything. Nothing. I assume the item was returned but since it took nearly 6 weeks to even get to the USPS here, I can't imagine how long it took for it to be returned. I complained and wrote a review but it was deleted by Etsy because I can't complain about the random shipping company the seller decided to ship with. THEY can't be held responsible for their poor choice in shipping companies. So I am out $, a ton of time, and will never again use ETSY for any reason, and will actively encourage others not to use it as well. Why is the purchaser punished because the seller is incompetent, and refuses to provide tracking information on items?

Desired outcome: I wanted my money returned, or Etsy to step in and require the shipper to provide the tracking #, abide by fair general practices. I wanted some type of confirmation that the item was returned to the seller. ANYTHING!

Etsy Discrimination against our listing [kwiketo]

Hi everyone,

We started working with Etsy since October 2021 and during this time we were able to made a lot of sales internationally. We offered outstanding customer service and free shipping within the UK. Recently our listings have been removed twice from Etsy unfairly based on not being compliant with their rules and regulation and their definition of a handmade product. We have check all of these rules and we are completely in accordance to these rules.

We are a keto snack box company based in the UK and we are selling our one-off boxes via third-party websites as well as our own Shopify store. What we do is we hand-pick a combination of different type of keto snacks that can go together based on a monthly selection of sweet and savory snacks as a one-off box with different themes based on flavors and types of products.

Despite our effort to explain that there are very similar companies with very similar product types being listed on Etsy, our listings have been removed unfairly and we do not see why.

This is indeed something that goes against Section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 (regulated by Ofcom in the UK) that sets out the 'Public Sector Equality Duty' whereby an online public authority must, in the exercise of its functions, have due regard to the need to:

(a) eliminate discrimination, harassment, victimisation and any other conduct that is prohibited by or under the Equality Act 2010.

In other words, any rules and regulation set out by a company to be imposed on another company must be deemed to be reasonable and such measures shall be transparent, non-discriminatory and proportionate, and shall not be based on commercial considerations.

No to mention, discrimination occurs when you are treated less favourably than another person in a similar situation and this treatment cannot be objectively and reasonably justified.

Despite all of this they just keep sending us generic replies regarding our items not being made by us which is not true and can be also applied to a very similar keto snack box on Etsy.

Etsy Etsy DISHONESTLY Charges Fees While in Vacation Mode!

I placed my account in vacation mode over a year ago. I come to find out that Etsy has been charging me listing fees for the ENTIRE year. I had NO idea about this and I contacted them multiple times and received ZERO response. This is THEFT! Listing fees are for listings actively for sale on Etsy! This is how the listing fees are advertised! Each time I have contacted Etsy they have ignored my emails. I have NO problem in paying for listing fees when my items are actually for SALE... Doing this is extremely dishonest and obviously theft.

Desired outcome: I want ALL of my money back (over $3000 they stole from me). My etsy store is mySimpleProducts.Shop. I want my MONEY back. Etsy, please respond. They REFUSE to respond to my emails. I have been ignored!

Vacation mode is more like placing a sign in your window that you're temporarily closed. However, during the time you are away from your store, you still have to pay the rent.

I love the store. It appears as if the last communication was back in July so you've really only been gone for eight months.

For weeks Etsy.com has no customer contact

I am a seller and Etsy is holding my money and there is no way to contact them

There is no working phone number no live chat and when you email there is no response

How do I get my funds if there is no way to contact them

The issue that I have experienced was: I have tried numerous attempts to gain information from Etsy as to why my account was suspended. I even provided proof that there was a flag that appeared on our account saying you could not send emails.

I never received any infringement emails and have requested them so we can get our shop reinstated and contact the third party. It has been 3-4 months now and you still will not provide me with the contact details. All I received is the generic response telling me to contact the third party that was provided in the notification emails. I have explained and shown you evidence that we did not receive any such email, and you are unwilling to provide me with the details to be able to resolve our suspension.

a) you either can not provide me with proof and evidence in which case please remove the suspension from our account

b) are unwilling to help a small, but successful business that has spent a lot of money with etsy.

It occurred on: 01/09/2021

This meant that at present our shop is shut down and our revenue from our shop has gone overnight.

Please either provide proof of infringements with third party details so we can actually proceed with the steps we need to take to reopen our shop ( details that were meant to be provided in the email that never came) or if they can not provide this information please unsuspend our shop.

Ideally, we would like to talk to a human rather than receive a generic email to our replies that make no sense with the content of our emails at all. We have asked for information and provided proof that no email could be received from a notification on Etsy's own platform. We have not received information about infringements. We have requested this information 5-6 times now.

We will be looking into other legal and social ways to get you to respond to our simple request.

I look forward to your prompt response on this matter. As recommended by Trading Standards, I would like to keep a complete record of my case, so please reply to this email address.

Etsy Trashy Listings

I have not shopped on Etsy for some time but thought I’d look for an interesting gift to give my husband for our anniversary. After typing in “husband anniversary” into the search bar, I was thoroughly disgusted by what loaded onto my screen! The level of filth allowed on Etsy leaves me speechless. I didn’t know in the time I was away that they turned their “shopping experience” into one of utter perversion, garbage, and vulgarity. I’m sickened to see what they allow as creative when in reality it’s pure garbage. And since there is no way to contact them directly, I’m posting my complaint here. It would have been better to contact them directly but they seem to have buried that information, as well as any real chance of talking to anyone in charge.

Desired outcome: Get rid of the foul-language and disgusting and filthy brick-a-brack you allow to be posted on your site. I’d like to be able to shop without this type of filth thrown in my face.

Etsy Etsy's Vacation Mode Lie

Etsy put my store in vacation mode mid Dec 2021 because my CA general partnership needed an entity #. A brand new 2022 tax law. No explanation of the vacation mode or that I required an entity #. I sent many messages, all ignored. I had to figure it out on my own. I called my accountant & he said I didn't have an entity # & that CA general partnerships don't have entity #s. I found a press release online from the CA Secretary of State about the assigning of entity #s to general partnerships just being started in mid January. I called the Franchise Tax Board & got my entity # & they sent a letter verifying my number. I've sent the entity # & the letter from the franchise tax board with my entity # in many messages to Etsy. I just keep receiving the letter that if you sent documents, they will review them. It's been 2 1/2 months now. Store still in "vacation mode".

Desired outcome: I want my store Gypsygoddessalchemy back online & out of vacation mode.

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

Etsy Account suspended without any email stating why, failure to respond to any emails nor direct messages via social media.

My sellers account on Esty has been suspended for the second time. On both occasions I haven't received the appropriate email explaining why it has been suspended. The first-time this happened, I chased for days and when I finally got a response it was that 'it had been an accident'. It has now happened again and I have been emailing every day for a week. I have only just launched my brand on their website and building the brand from the ground up, this is making it impossible. I wouldn't be so irritated had they actually done what they claim to do, which is send an email explaining why. At least then I can solve the issue. However, they have done this or responded to any emails of social media messages I send. How is a company allowed to treat people like this? I am lucky that the store isn't my main source of income yet, what about the people who rely heavily on there stores. Do their accounts just get shut down like this too? I have worked day and night to get everything set up and ready and this happens. It is disrespectful and I quite frankly think Etsy are charlatans. Someone needs to sort this out.

Desired outcome: I want a sincere apology and and satisfying explanation, if I get told it was an 'accident' again I will loose my temper.

Hello, I hope you are well, and I apologize a lot for the inconvenience, and I ask you to help me if this is possible. I had a store on the Etsy platform, and I wanted traditional handmade carpets with 100% natural materials, and after I started working on this store for more than five months, I listed more than 300 products They closed the store without any reason. I tried to communicate with all Etsy customers, and no one helped me. They told me that I had violated the terms of use. I checked all the terms of use and did not find that my store violates this policy. Please help me because I am frustrated and this caused me depression because I was working hard on this store and there is more From six sales, I have sent it to customers correctly and worked hard on these products. I hope you can help me with anything, thank you

Requesting a Senior Manager to review my last open case, in my Etsy shop

This was an unjustified open and shut case,

Customer Claudia who purchase 2 large Swan Figurines, from my shop

she had message me, that the large Swans neck has broken, and requsted a return shipping and a refund

This is not a problem since I I, message Customer to send the item back, to receive a Refund,

only this case was different

I gave her the information to ship it back for a refund, or File a USPS Insurance Claim, to recieve a Refund, on 1 Swan for $ 95.00

she decided to file a USPS Insurance Claim, and recieved a Check in the amount of $ 95.00

she requested an addional $ 105 from me, which was issued back to her,

Etsy's Team had a better idea, I was messaged, that if I want my large Swans back I need to purchase shipping Labels tru Etsy,

I am out $ 58.00 in Shipping

plus my beloved Swan Figurines Valued at $ 200.00

Claudia not only received a Full Refund back by Etsy'

got to keep the 2 Figurines,

Plus a $ 95.00 Check from the USPS

There is something wrong with this picture

The large Swan broke during shipping, and the brake was on the lower neck, where it was put together, anybody with a steady hand, can put the neck back on the SWAN,
