Etihad Airways Broken Suitcase

I checked in my suitcase in Jakarta on the 15th of September for flight EY 475 to Abu Dhabi for a transit later on with flight EY 19 to Heathrow, London. I am very disappointed by the state that I retrieved my suitcase in London (16th September 2021, around 12:00). Not only was my suitcase given to me with a broken zipper which had been completely torn off, but it was also kept together without care by a single piece of rope. I had many valuables inside this bag including clothing, toiletries, a camera, and medication. Fortunately, my baggage did not seem to lose anything despite the fact that the suitcase was almost entirely open.

Although all the belongings within that suitcase are still intact, I do heavily believe that action is taken after this complaint is sent. This suitcase is what was going to be used for me to exit my managed quarantine to later move into my university accommodation. I have two large suitcases in total, the other is in fine condition, but there is no possible way for me to bring this suitcase around London- through trains, buses, etc- with the state and damage it now has. I am unable to leave my hotel room to purchase another as I am under a 10 day managed quarantine. If possible, I'd request that firstly, I get a proper apology from Etihad as I have yet to receive one. And secondly, something is done about my baggage. Whether this means I am given a new one, my broken one is repaired, I do need something done. I believe a refund will hardly work as I have no time to go purchase myself one under this quarantine lockdown where I am unable to leave.

Below are images attached of the state my baggage was in. These pictures were later on taken in my hotel room as I had been in a rush to leave the airport. Etihad Airways Travel bank/flight refund

we were due to fly last year in July the middle of the pandemic to the UK from NZ. this of course got cancelled and was not in our control.
at the time no one responded to our emails about it and I wasn't able to get anyone on the phone until the actual day of our supposed flights. at which point we were refused a refund and provided with the only option of transferring the value to the Etihad travel bank. we did this in the hopes that soon we would be able to use it.
however our government has since refused to reopen the borders and as such we aren't able to travel or even know when we may be able to travel again in the future.
initial inquiries to Etihad have resulted in them refusing our request for the funds to be refunded. this is incredibly frustrating for us as its not like we even have a choice about being able to use the credit. we can't even use it for family in the uk to come out here because they aren't nz citizens so are unable to enter the country. I am planning on taking this as high as I can, especially since I have found out that in australia Etihad paid out all refunds including ones that had been transferred to a travel credit.

Yes! though - the refund was approved in September 2021 and we are only just recieving the money now in mid March 2022. you gotta chase them, and chase them. i got the refund approved by kickingup a stink and asking for supervisor and threatening to go to the media.

Etihad Airways Unable to save details

I'm planning to fly from Delhi to Dubai On 26th of September 2021, I have successfully booked my tickets through the Etihad Airways website, But I am unable to save my passport and other travel details, I tried calling the customer care division in India for the same But haven't been able to contact them. Also As per the automated calling system Whenever I try to Dial to the desired extension The call is not placed And the same message By the automated calling system for the desired extensions Keeps on repeating.
Kindly help ASAP.

Etihad Airways pnr ybhmng.

Reference to the above PNR, I purchased online tickets from Islamabad to Istanbul through budget air.uk.co from 15 September to 1st October 2021.
I received an email from Ethihad air and budgetair on 12th September that the return flight on 1st October has been postponed to 3rd October 2021.
I immediately emailed my vender budgetair on 12th September that I can not travel on this rescheduled return flight due to my serious commitments as I had busy scheduleon 3rd October in my home country.
With a little hesitancy I received an email from them on 13th October that they will work on cancellation and refund.This email was from Miss Lalita, one of their representative.
After my email, I did not receive any mail from them despite my reminder emails as only 48 hours has remained in departing flight.
On 15th October, when flight had left I received and email by Miss Aliya that due to airline policy refund can not be given due to no show.
It is shocking that I am constantly writing to them from 12th October to cancel and refund the tickets because of gross schedule change and budgetair did not give heed to my repeated requests and waited till the flight departed.And they are putting blame for no show on me.
You are very kindly and humbly requested to please intervene in getting my tickets refunded and serious adminstrative action to be taken against the vendor Budgetair.uk.co.
I shall be grateful for your perusal response and action.worm regards.

Etihad Airways YIQLCA - Flight cancelled within 48 hours for no reason and the next available date was 3 weeks out.

I am a rewards member [protected]. I was really happy with the service and food with Etihad which has improved a lot and booked my round trip recently YIQLCA. First the return booking date was changed by the airline automatically and extended by trip by a day which I could accommodate. Then the return flight was cancelled 48 hours before departure after I took my covid test. I had to come back to the US immediately as planned Sept 8th and left me strangled at the last minute. My next option to return was given Oct 3rd or take a refund. Its easy to offer a return refund but much expensive to buy an emergency one way ticket. This has put me threw financial hardship to buy and expensive one way return fair to come back immediately on QATAR paying thru the roof as one way urgent tickets are expensive plus the cost of another covid test, extended stay and loss of pay. Etihad had 3 flights a week flying out of Hyderabad and no reasonable accommodation or options were even remotely provided. I have a job to go back to and I trusted Etihad for my short 2 week trip else I had QATAR, AirIndia, Emirates as other reasonable options. There was an Etihad flight on the day I took QATAR if am not mistaken on Sept 12th. I would want Etihad to provide a refund or a future voucher for the difference in fare I had to pay on Qatar for putting me thru the financial hardship with no reasonable accommodation. My Qatar ticket is enclosed for your reference in the email I sent via Etihad site. Taking people for granted and giving a one way refund is not acceptable. Either Etihad must have accommodated me on another flight. This has happened to a lot of my friends and this pattern is dangerous and Etihad will lose goodwill and reliability. Thanks.

Etihad Airways Refund tickets

Dear Sir,

Good day I would like to request and follow-up the the refund of my ticket, because at the moment we cannot do the traveling at this time due to the country restriction, in this case we cannot use this ticket for any travel,
we request the refund to be transfer to our company account,

Etihad Airways Refund has not done

Dear Sir,

 

I have booked a ticket in March and travelled one side on 09/04/2021 and the return flight  was cancelled three times by Etihad . Booking ref-WYQPHQ, Airline booking ref -BKKRCJ, Ticket ref-[protected], [protected], [protected].

 

Now when I send mail for refund the return ticket they are telling there is no refund value for the ticket. (as they will charge 200 + for one ticket) How it will be possible as ticket was cancelled from your side and the date you are giving me to travel is not convenient for me as they are telling to travel before 23/02/2022.

 

So kindly refund the ticket amount and wave off your cancelation charge as the flight was cancelled from your side. I have attached the copy of the ticket for your reference.

Etihad Airways Denied to board

Good morning Mrs / Mr.

I contact you today to convey a complain regarding customer service at the Etihad check-in counter in Jakarta Airport.

Myself (Johanna Merer - French Citizen - Vaccinated 2 doses of Sinovac) and my partner and fiance (Alex Crees - United Kingdom Citizen - Non-vaccinated) booked flight tickets Jakarta - Paris on August 28th with Etihad.

My beloved father passed away on August 25th and the purpose of our travel was to be reunited with our family and to assist the funerals on September 3rd.

For non-vaccinated people, my partner was subject to the compelling reasons system upon entering France. The tentative list of compelling reasons features on the certificate of entry into metropolitan France that I attach.

It's well written that one of the compelling reason to travel to France is ‘ French citizens, their spouses (married, civil union and cohabiting) and their children ‘

We provided all the documents proving that Alex Crees and myself have been cohabiting under the same house for more than 3 years and therefore allowed to travel to France submitting a sworn commitment to take an antigenic test upon arrival in metropolitan France and be quarantined by prefectoral order for ten days, with security checks.

The behaviour of the staff at the check-in counter in Jakarta Airport can be considered as way under the standards that such a reputed company as Etihad should set to itself.

While we came 5 hours before boarding time at the check-in counter, we waited 4 hours after submitting our documents to Etihad and the staff at that time told us a ‘ Manager ‘ would intervene and never came.

In spite of all of this, we were refused the right to board the plane as my fiance was non-vaccinated (while having a negative PCR test) arguing that it would go against the immigration policy in France.
While all the documents provided prove that it's absolutely possible to travel as a cohabiting partner.

Since it was a matter of emergency (my father's funerals), we had to go to Qatar Airways Counter for a flight 2 hours later.
Qatar Airways accepted my fiance to board with the exact same documents we presented to Etihad 5 hours earlier.

We entered France with no complication as the notion of ‘ cohabiting partners ‘ is well understood over there but while being non-vaccinated, we submitted ourselves to the normal quarantine.

I apologise to send this email a little bit later as we were mourning the loss of my father with my family and my fiance.

We ask right now for a full refund of our tickets and a compensation for buying very very last minute tickets with Qatar Airways that were triple the price of our original tickets or we're afraid to have to take legal action.

We kindly ask for your understanding as this is a difficult time for all of us,

Etihad Airways Booking: tbappc etkt 6072140908140 refund or rebook to my speciticid dates

Dear Sir

My booking TBAPPC had been cancelled and rebooked multiple times by the airlines.I have tried to reach the airlines for the past 3 days without any luck. The helpline and customer number is always busy [protected]. I made every effort to either get a refund or rebook to my specific needs. It is unfortunate that Etihad is not helping me in any way or form. And as of yet I cannot even reach Etihad help desk or customer service. Because of the multiple cancellations and rebookinbg by Etihad has caused me severe inconvenience. Please respond to my request for help. I have attached the documents for your reference. Thank you

Etihad Airways Ticket was overcharged into account

I am contacting you as I bought a ticket through an agent. When I got the ticket it stated that the ticket cost € 497 but I was charged €730. When I contacted the agent he stated that the invoice from the airlines is incorrect that the value that he charged was the price of the ticket. My compliment is that why was I charged a different value when I was sent an invoice with a different value. I would like to get the difference back as I was over charged.

Etihad Airways My money had been deducted without my acknowledge.

MY account has been deducted by etihad airways on 2/9 and 3/9/2021. Which is on that day I didn't make any purchases on etihad Airways website.

Before that date, On 30/8/2021 and 31/8/2021 i had purchased a couple of ticket to amman, jordan.
The ticket has been deducted on the same day on 30/9/2021 and 31/8/2021.
Hence, I already had the booking ticket for the purchased. It's had settled.

But, on 2/9/2021 i did not make any purchases on website Etihad Airways. Suddenly, MY ACCOUNT HAD BEEN DEDUCTED for amount RM2, 444.00 as much as 4 times.

On 3/9/2021, the same thing happened. My account has been deducted for SAME AMOUNT AS MUCH AS 3 TIMES.

So, total of my lose is RM17, 108.00. Etihad do refund for RM7, 332.00. But the balance for amount RM9, 776.00 i didnt received any refund yet from Etihad Airways since 3rd September.

Etihad Airways Bad Customer Service

I have booked a 3 days stay at the W hotel during August 2021 in Abu Dhabi with Etihad Airways but when I arrived to the hotel they did not have my booking! It was very unpleasant to try and contact Etihad customer service as I did not have enough phone credit and I had to use the lobby land phone to communicate my issue with but no use. Mid of August i managed to contact Etihad customer service and they claimed that they will submit my complaint, however until today I did not receive any feedback.

Etihad Airways Re: Refund for flight cancellation

I have received email on 27/8/21 from Etihad airways regarding my flight on 1st September'21 from Ahmedabad to Manchester has been cancelled. I replied to that email for refund. I have tried customer care neraly every day since then for more than an hour each time. Tried live chat, twitter chat, Facebook messenger. No success.
I have booked flight online on Etihad airways website. My Booking reference SCYHUG . Last name - Chauhan. First name Chetan Arvind.
Please arrange refund asap.

Etihad Airways Booking LEOGWF cancelled with no notification

Urgent Complaint: Etihad Airways reference: LEOGWF

1. Scheduled to fly back to London Heathrow, UK on Wed 1 Sep 2021 03:15 on EY281 with a connecting flight EY17 on Wed 1 Sep 14:35 from Abu Dhabi

3. Booked these flights on the Etihad website on 7th Aug 2021 and at that point, these flights were sold to us by Etihad on your website as legal connecting flights with the 9 hour layover/stopover

4. Upon trying to Manage Booking on the Etihad website today (Sun 29 Aug 2021) using Booking reference LEOGWF, the Etihad website stated that I should contact customer service and it was unclear why

5. So upon calling the Etihad customer service in India and speaking to Vivek, he advised us that both the flights were canceled and hence our booking has been canceled and we cannot fly as scheduled.

Supervisor was meant to call back on 29 Aug...
No resolution provided and we are left hanging... Customer service gone to the dogs.

Etihad Airways We were forced to do covid rt pcr test again

Respected Sir/Madam

I am flying from Ahmedabad to Frankfurt via Abu Dhabi.
Date 05.09.2021
(Still I am not in flight)
I already have submitted RCPCR test report (negative), which is not older than 24 hours.
Etihad staff members forced us to pay 14, 000 Rs. for further RCPCR test, which is not required, (and said we must do it again at transit) before giving our boarding pass. And after asking, they replied, it is compulsory at transit to do again RCPCR test, doesn't matter our test report is valid or not.
We asked if we pay at Abu Dhabi, Etihad staff answered, no you have to pay here only. They were not going to give us boarding pass before that.
I am attacheing Reciept of that amount which were taken from us forcefully.
Please share with me, weather is it a Rule or not.

I am german National, and I have double checked it, it was clearly stated on german government's official website, if rcpcr test was not submitted before flying, you have to do it after coming back to germany. Which means, neither rcpcr test nor rapid test compulsory. And we had already submitted rcpcr test results. Still they charged us 200 us dollar for it. And they did only rapid test. For rapid test even in India, government do not take money. In Germany it is also free. Please accept it, it was clearly a fraud. I am feeling cheated.

Etihad Airways My Booking cancelled by Etihad airways for no reason

I purchased my ticket directly from Etihad Air Ways. Booking Reference: LQEAGS and e ticket number : [protected] and I was about to fly on September 2 from Islamabad, Pakistan. But I was shocked at the airport that my ticket had been cancelled by Etihad airways for no reason even I completed all travel requirements before departure. I called help center but after holding two hours customer service dropped my line. In the mean time my flights flew and I was left helpless at airport . I am trying to contact help center since than but did not receive any reply on twitter and I made numerous phone calls but after holding for many hours they drop my calls.

Desired outcome: Take me to my destination or Refund or at least talk to me.

Dear Sir/Madam,

With reference to the above, kindly be informed that I am a frequent flyer, a loyal customer   of ETIHAD AIRWAYS Platinum Card # [protected]. I would like to get your attention as well as your immediate action on the incident happened to my daughter (Dr. Janaki Narikkot, Etihad Gold Card Member# [protected], traveler (ETIHAD AIRWAYS # EY-247) from COCHIN/ABU DHABI on 31/AUG/2021. 

Since my  daughter (Dr. Janaki Narikkot) is a Canadian Passport Holder and hence  the Visa on Arrival facility is available in Abu Dhabi.  I booked and got the confirmation of Ticket from ETIHAD after calling 2 to 3 times to confirm there is no issue to avail that facility, due to this pandemic situation & Etihad Agent's confirmed that there won't be any issue regarding that and Just make sure to follow all the mandatory UAE Travel formalities i. e; ICA approval/PCR Test and so on.. 

But unfortunately, even after complying all the requirements and despite of following  all the instructions, a dissatisfactory behavior of Cochin Airport Duty  Supervisor - Mr. K. P Sumith towards my daughter as well as to me (thru telephone) really insulted us!... Mr. Sumith was hesitant to let my daughter to travel (even after her completion of on entry passport checking, PCR negative, RAPID TEST etc), insisted that the U.A. E has stopped (Since Aug 20, 2021) VISA ON ARRIVAL facility and therefore she can't travel!.. My daughter was really upset about the final verdict /behavior of Mr. Sumith.. My daughter called me (Abu Dhabi)  to inform  his decision and I spoke to him & tried to convince him that we got her ticket after (ETIHAD) confirmation only,   and they have already e-mailed this to Cochin Airport!.. but Mr. Sumith was reluctant to  hear  it and without checking anything from the reliable source, he talked to me in a harsh way  and insisted that anyone could get ICA approval and boarding pass and it does not count as valid proof for the Travel!. Since he was in an argumentative state of mind, I tried to get it solved thru the reliable source and called ETIHAD Abu Dhabi office and informed about it and they confirmed not to worry and they will sort it out by giving intimation to Cochin Airport and as they promised, even though after a big hassle & exhaustion, we   got the justice!  My daughter got boarded in the flight!.

After all of this  drama by Mr. Sumith, and his realization of the matter, he apologized to my daughter and that act is not at all acceptable and forgivable for US! He is not competent and inconsiderate towards an Etihad Gold member.

In view of the above, kindly warn him & take up a sincere action about this matter. Etihad Airways I am complaining about online direct flight booking and using the service that is Manage My Booking, as well as customer service 24/7 helpline

My booking reference RQKSPW, using the Reference number or my e-ticket number to change my return flight booking through Online Manage My Booking is not helpful enough. Many attempts since last few days to sort out my return flight booking.
My brother's critical condition has made me to extend my stay in India.

I have used 24/7 call helpline - ++44 [protected]; [protected]; [protected]

Also no reply to my emails, FB messenger
Very disappointing service for online direct flight booking.
Hope my problem will get quicker help as my planned return flight is book for 04-09-21.
Needed to change sooner

Etihad Airways Cancellation of tickets

Good afternoon team Etihad airways,

With Due Respect,

I have never thought to write a complaining letter to Etihad airways as your team has showed extremely unprofessional and unprincipled behavior. We were extremely disappointed on reaching Schiphol{Amsterdam} airport, we heard from airport staff about cancellation of our scheduled confirmed flight.

As per the information on email, my flight was confirmed and we were asked to have our Covid negative {PSR-TESR} done a day prior to our flight.

While I understand that cancellations are sometimes inevitable, Especially in times of pandemic. But this is for sure responsibility of the concerned airlines to re-arrange another flights for the passengers and take action. There is very important reason to travel, we were looking forward to meeting our parents who currently suffering from poor health conditions. Due to negligence of airlines, we have suffered mental stress and have been emotionally hurt as we were not informed before about our cancellations of our due flight.
After several hours of waiting at airport and making lengthy calls with your airways, there was nothing to offer apart from, sorry. I actually look forward to hearing more than just apologies. Etihad Airways should sincerely look into the matter and take some immediate action over the situation and arrange another flight for us.

As for now only my booking from Amsterdam to Abu Dhabi has been arranged by Etihad Airways on 4th july2021 but not any further flights for our final destination Islamabad, for which I would like Etihad Airways to refund, /compensate me the cost which I had to pay from my own.

Hereby I'm claiming the cost I made due to negligence of Etihad Airways cost of new air tickets 1400 euro+ 2nd time COVID test 650 euro+taxi cost 200euros+ staying hotel 300euro+misllenious 300euros... While returning I had face similar problem and had to RE-Book the same tickets costing 100euros and again COVID test plus rapid test costing 175euros. For which rapid test was paid, but no rapid test was done. Total cost 3125 euros.

I can provide all the payment receipt when my claim will proceed further.

I and my family has been mentally gone through a lot of stress and we have high hopes with Etihad Airways we hope that you will help us. If not taken action by Etihad on my case, I will take legal action.
