Etihad Airways hand carry not allowed by check-in personnel

Hello,

I was returning to Chicago from Hyderabad(India) on 2nd Sept 2017. As per the guidelines on the Etihad website, I was carrying two luggage bags 50lbs each and a carryon bag and a laptop bag.
At Hyderabad Airport, while I was checking in my baggage the etihad representative said that I am allowed to carry only one carry-on bag with me and so I should either take the laptop or the carry-on bag. I tried to show him the guidelines on the websites, but even after reading it, he said he will not allow me to carry them.I told him that I called the customer-care to confirm that I am allowed to carry a hand-carry and a laptop bag but He was in no mood to listen to me. He insisted that I pay for extra baggage if I want to carry the hand-carry(which I am legally allowed by the etihad free of cost).Even the other Etihad agents joined him and as I was getting late, I had to leave my hand carry which contained all the gifts that I had purchased back in india. I am not sure if this is the new way to harass passangers at this airport by Etihad officials.I request you to kindly look into this matter seriously and take action against the authorities.
Also, during the flight I requested the flight attendant for a glass of water and her response was "Everybody is asking for water so wait until we serve the food", which was started after 25-30 minutes.Its like, I made a fool out of myself by selecting this airlines.

Hope some action is taken against such officials who love to harass the customers.

Etihad Airways stewardess/flight entertainment

Hi
I'm currently on 4 and half hours into flight from adu Dhabi and have paid for WiFi on board todays flight. Flight EY 15 When on take off I asked the stewardess my flight entertainment didn't work and she said there was nothing she could do I replied by saying on other flights with etihad when a customer has had a problem could reset the box or change the head set because my problem was no volume she then replied she would have a look. After 1hour and nothing I asked her again and now 4 and half hours into a 7hr flight still nothing I find this terrible service I have travelled from bangkok so this is my 2nd flight of the day and this is the worst service I have received on a etihad flight I'm a frequent flyer with etihad and will continue to be so I just wanted to highlight staff on today's flight and am writing this complaint now because there's nothing else to do after getting fed up lip reading what Jack sparrow was trying to say on pirates of the Caribbean. Thanks.

Etihad Airways ticket was confirmed july 17, 2017

Subject: unfair treatment/confirmed ticket

To: Etihad Airways

My ticket was confirmed last 17 July 2017

My flights schedule supposed 30 august 2017 @ 10:40 pm Saudi time when I was in counter for check in as per the counter our ticket is not confirmed e-ticket Number: [protected] this is not acceptable the authenticity of the ticket was legitimate, and this is violation of passengers rights why it happen my ticket was not confirmed I found I am a chance passenger suddenly I was offload, at least ethihad should inform me a head of time, I choose the air lines and flight schedule because I have appointments need to be settle, I am leaving in the Provence and my wife went to Manila just to see me he book the hotels and everything was set who will compensate this unjustified reason of cancelation of tickets this discrimination why it happen 7 out of cancel ticket is only Filipino. I am advised to wait until 4 am for my next flight to abu dahbhe my flights abu dabhi 10: am on the next day this is unfair without offering something for us to rest.

Please explain I need a anction on this matter.

Etihad Airways missing guest miles

I ([protected]) have been trying to claim missing miles for 5 or 6 flights with Etihad partner airlines in May this year.

I have submitted my claim with the respective documentation in the beginning of June. I have sent several follow up emails. The only answer (if any) I ever get is that they will correspond with me shortly and that they are looking forward to welcoming me again as their guest in the future. It has been three months now since I started this process. This is ridiculous.

Etihad Airways I was stopped from getting into the etihad flight no. ey 130 from washington d. c

I was stopped from getting into the Etihad Flight No. EY 130 from Washington D.C by one of your managers. I asked for his name but he never gave me his name, so I asked for his name from other people. They said his name was “Raza Hassan”.
My carry-on bag was weighted during the check in time and they said it was ok. After the security check in at the gate area at custom free shops, I purchased some gifts for my family and friends. No one had told me that I could not do shopping in the transit area. I was told that I had exceeded the limit for my carry-on bag and that I had to pay $350 dollars or trash my items. I could not pay $350 dollars neither I could trash my belongings. I explained to him that no one has told me that I could not do shopping in transit aria. Mr. Raza was very root and disrespectful. He never tried to listen to what I had to say. I asked to be able to leave my belongings somewhere else (eg. Front disk) so my family members or friends could come and get them later. He refused to be of any help and at one point he shouted and he told me sit down or he would call police and security on me. He was stubborn enough to unload my bags from the plain and stopped me from getting on my flight.
He has caused me and my family so much serious problems. At the same time, I must reschedule another flight and I am being charged for not showing up, although that wasn’t true, and some other charges that are irrelevant.
I would like to settle this issue before pursuing the complaint further through.

Hi, my sister and her kids reached thecheck in counter but the counter said as she arrive ld exactly on the closely time they won't be sure if she can make it to the flight after all check ins. So they assured her that eithad airways will issue her tickets for next available flight.

She missed her flight after being assured by the person at counter. Then they informed her about paying 43K INR as rebooking charges for 3 people (1 adult and 2 child) she had money in Swiss Frank and she was unable to pay the amount. She called me for cash and I spoke to the counter guy to ask payment options. He said it's either card or cash. In another 5 minutes I made 43K available for the tickets but there was no one at the counter and now at 1.15 they are asking us to re-issue the ticket. The 3 passenger with 2 being kids have been waiting for the counter person but there's no show? This is completely not fair. They missed the flight due to the counter guy and now they are ticket less. She is staying at one of the airport rooms. Please help us and get tickets in quoted price.

Etihad Airways lack of responsibility

My mother went from Detroit to Islamabad on 22 August. Firstly with every passing day you guys are squeezing the seat size and the leaf space. Most importantly when the flight was about to reach Islamabad, it was diverted to Lahore due to bad weather. When the flight reached Lahore the stupid Egyptian pilot refused to fly back to Islamabad for some strange reason. Subsequently my 60 year old mom who had already endured more than 24 hours of journey had to be seated in a low standard bus service which took 8 hours to reach Islamabad. She is highly hypertensive and had to be hospitalized after the tumultuous journey. I mean don't you people have any sense. Why are we traveling on your airline if we had to ride [censor] infested buses. Grow out of your thick heads please. I for one won't ever travel in Etihad anymore.

Etihad Airways service from the staff

We traveled from new york to abu dhabi on ey 102 on 20th august -2017, departure 15.00 hrs.
Our family usually prefer to travel through ethihad flights and we had very good experience with it previously.

Unfortunately, during my 13 hrs flight we had experienced differently. Many times we raised the light for a service from the staff and no one turned out. I wanted to have water and to meet my need I went to the pantry and met a lady staff on white jacket. I asked her for water and she gave me glass of water. I asked her gently why no one responding on the light from the guest and immediately she replied can't you hear the announcement from the captain for seat belts so how can we come?

I just kept quiet and back to my seat. After some times I raised the bell repeatedly and no one turned out. During their schedule only they served and the sandwich were served was not even wormed and as if directly took the fridge and served.

I have noticed during my whole flight the staff were busy on going to the duck for sleeping and not caring anything else.

During a 13 hours flight the guests might have different needs and the staff must offer the service as well I believe.

As a frequent traveler of ethihad airways and I had very good experiences previously, I believe to have the same in the future too.

Kindly look into it and as a gust this our right to have good service and response from the staff.

Etihad Airways lost of baggage

In referance to my e-ticket number ETKT 607 [protected] FOR NEW DELHI TO TANGIER via flight
no. EY8720/EY0613/AT0990 for 19/20 AUG 2017 however baggage checked in for casablanca only from new delhi but immigration
was not done at casablanca and i was not allowed to pick my baggage and while taking boarding pass at casablanca ground
staff told me that we have updated our system and luggage will be transfered to tangier but to my surprize no luggage was
was there in tangier and as i am seaman and joining duties on my ship LPG EPIC BORKUM no compansation was given to me at
tangier airport.information passed to casablanca airport to send by next flight to send baggage tag no. 9W384484 but all
efforts in vein it seems my baggage is lost. kindly tace my baggage and be inform to me on my e-mail as my ship is likly to sail from

Etihad Airways etihad airways did not allow me to travel

hi,
I was on my way from Coimbatore to Brussels. My ticket was booked via bangalore, Abu dhabi and to Brussels. On my way to the Coimbatore airport, I tripped and fell, so my leg was swollen a bit. I even reached Bangalore and waiting to board Etihad airways (EY 237) to Abu Dhabi. In Bangalore airport, I visited airport hospital, who put crepe bandage over my feet and suggested to get an X-Ray as a precaution. While boarding the flight, staff didn't allow me to board the plane and asked me to produce fitness certificate then and there!
Since I haven't any, they didn't allow me to board the plane. They simply cancelled my tickets and sent me off.

Etihad Airways service and lateness

me and wife was travelling from london, our destination is trivandrum. but the flight was late from london for 1 hour fifteen minutes, and when we reach abudhabi we missed the connection flight, and due to this we missed an important family event, from london onwards we are having issues frim ground staff, the check in staff allocate seats for me and my wife in different zone, my is pregnant also, i told then about it, but they dont care about thia things, very bad service, this is not the first time we are having trouble with this airline, very poor service...

Etihad Airways poor treatment by ground staff employee for a pregnant women

My name is Saleem, I traveled from hyderabad to abudhabi through etihad airways flight no# EY 215 with my wife and 3 kids, as my wife is 32 weeks pregnant 32 with medical travel fit certificate produced still the eithad ground staff member from Hyderabad india issued back side seats 23 ABCDE where I have to face lot of problems. I request the employee for front side seats also but of no use.
iam totally unhappy with there ill treatment, moreover I did not except this from world class airlines. kindly reply me if you find an answer for my queery.

Etihad Airways baggage damaged

I travelled on etihad airways under ref numner ekyjir.. Lhr-abh-nbo-hre. On the 9th of august. On arrival to zimbabwe on the 11th of august as the baggage came out I noticed my bag was severely damaged. I informed the security guy at immigration who told me to go to nhs, it was late around midnight when we went there noone responded. I then called the airport the next day to speak to kenya airways officials regarding flight number kq718 and they informed me that it was a connecting flight and the best I could do is to call etihad before the week ends im in zimbabwe so I had no direct office to call here. I advised my sister in law to call them, after several attempts to file the complaint online. I got hold of a colleague who works at air zimbabwe and he advised me to call etihad, I recalled today and they told me if I dont have a ref number I should file a complaint directly. I bought my bags on the 8th of august, brand new from travel gear. Im a flight attendant and I respect airport laws. I even paid for extra luggage so obviously my bag was worth taking caution of as I even paid extra to have my bags upgraded to 32kgs. Im heart broken at the carelessness the handlers took on my bag. And my bag was brand new and it cost me over 100 gb. I would like acompensation for mishandling of my bag. I will insert all pictures of my bags state, I live 3 hours away from the airport, and it just did not make sense to carry back a brocken bag. I assume my bag must have been thrown evidence by the deep crack and the scratches on it. Iv never had a problem like this before.. Please advise what I must do.. I need a bag replacement. Etihad Airways service

To whom it may concern:
I've never experienced such a bad service from an airline, especially an airline with the reputation of etihad. Our flight from riyadh was delayed by more than an hour, then our arrival gate was really far from departure gate which meant that we had to run to catch a connecting flight which was on the last call. My wife is pregnant had to run and almost fell was received at the gate by employees who were less than considered and proceeded to blame us for having to delayed the flight. I find this truly appalling as we were late in the first place because of flight delayed caused by the late arrival of the Etihad flight from Riyadh. In addition, our bags never made it to our final destination in Toronto because of this delayed which also meant that we had to postpone our trip to the USA.Therefore, this will be our last time traveling with Etihad and will not recommend it to anyone.

I am nagaveni Mangalvedkar from NY senior citizen 72yrs. on 9th I called my travel agent and booked my ticket, ticket no [protected], reservation codeCGVOUF issuing agentAPM location NY IATA Number [protected] custmer no [protected] used my debit card for$989.56 my travel agent asked me to send the statment form signed and send it immediately I did not know much about internet how to do so with great difficulty i sent it I have been checking my bank statement everyday I didnt see any transection so I was under the impression it didnt go thru and my ticket must be cancelled so I went to another travel agent personally booked my ticket same airline same date oct 1st 2017 ethihad airways 607864571602971125110000 for $973.00 on8.15.2017 I see my bank statement ethihad pur464179, [protected] was charged for $989.56 and one more ref 464179 Ethihadairwa607864501237 [protected] for 989.56 which was credited to my AC it is so much trouble for me to handle all this and I dont want to be harsh on my travel agent I know i made a mistake please clear this dispute and refund my money which was charged twice I want to travel on 1st oct2017 keep myexisting etenery

Etihad Airways wrong information given

I travelled on Monday the 8th August 2017 to Ireland with Etihad Airways. As I arrived at the Etihad Booking station I was stopped by one of Etihad’s employees. She explained to me that if any South Africans Travels to Ireland they (Etihad) has to email the embassy with all the document the client has and then pre approval to enter Ireland as with a South African Passport you do not need a Visa. She took all my documents and spoke to someone else. When she came back she said that actually they need to phone but tonight they not going to phone as all the document seems to be in order. So I checked in and flew to Ireland via Abu Dhabi. When I arrived in Dublin at the passport control I handed them all my documents that I had on me. The lady went through all my documents and then she called another lady with short hair and a bit skinny. She asked me where is my visa and my reply was that I don’t need a visa as I have a South African Passport. On the end of the day I was deported back to South Africa. If Etihad as done their job in the first place then the immigration officer would have said what I still need to enter Ireland and advised that my documents are incomplete I could still have postponed my flight until I had all the documents. Instead they said its fine they are not going to phone Ireland and allowed me to fly to Ireland instead.

By doing so I ended up wasting my flight, money and time just to be deported due to incompetency. On my deportation flight from Dublin to Abu Dhabi I was allowed to consume alcoholic beverages, however on my fight from Abu Dhabi to Johannesburg Or Tambo flight attendance was told not to serve me any alcoholic beverages. I felt discriminated against as I didn’t do anything wrong. On a flight I paid for I was too scared to ask for anything else to eat or drink. I never felt so discriminated in all my life. I was escorted to every flight. I felt like a criminal. If one think about it that flight was paid not by Etihad but by myself and to be treated like that not even allowing me alcoholic beverages. I didn’t misbehave not was I drunk. It is very disappointing with regards to customer experience and humanity

On the 13th August before my flight back to my hometown I went to Etihad’s offices and a worker of Etihad confirmed to me that they should have gotten preapproval before I was allowed on the flight to Ireland. I have flown a few time with Etihad to Muscat and the UAE. I would definitely consider a different airline next time I decide to visit my friends again. I would like to know from Etihad what they gonna do to rectify this problem.

Etihad Airways incompetent senior management & toxic company culture

ETIHAD Airways gives the Travel industry an Appalling image & Incompetence whom implements Worst practice sourcing strategy bringing the Agent industry into Disrepute - THEY:

• Misrepresents staffing information;
• Deliberately Misleads advice to clients;
• Ineffective in resolving complaints;
• Senior Management having zero Leadership attributes
• Insult people’s intelligence;
• Humiliates people in front of others;
• HR department Displays Inferior competence;
• Incompetent senior management = absolutely no idea what they are doing
• deliberate & Unethical conduct;
• severely lacking in Integrity;
• Inaccurate advertising; plus
• Flawed supplier processes;

ETIHAD Airways "preaches" its Values & Traits on their Website BUT does not Walk the Talk = it's all only just "Lip Service" as their employees & in particular its Senior Management do not walk the talk. Clients are Only treated as another Number & they have absolutely No interest in Quality nor care about how they treat people.

Etihad Airways baggage missing

Please spare some time to read this... I would like to share some of my worst experience of etihad airline services. On 18th july 2017 we arrived at kozhikode airport (Flight number ey254) after finishing the formality of arriving we went to take off our luggage but we couldn't get all our luggage as 1 bag was missing. We waited there for a long time in a hope that the bag will arrive, as there were no move we complained this to shibil (Reference number ccjey14383) as he was the one who take care of such missing complaints. He noted our details and assured us that they would give it back and asked us to wait for just 2 days... We waited for 2 days but there were no address so we called them but they didn't pickup the call or some time it was line busy... We managed to enquire in our on ways but it was of no use... Around 2 weeks ago they called and asked about the details of bag... So far there is no move regarding the missing... Half dozen mails were sent but no replay came back... We trust their services that is the reason we give our belonging but this was a horrible happening... We had many properties which were priceless, we not only lost our money but also the efforts... They said they will give compensation but they are not ready to give it on the basis of international rule and they are not ready for any compromise... We had belongings priced around 85000 indian money... As etihad is a well reputed airline we never expected this from their side... They are not conscious of our belonging and are careless... One thing I would like to say every one is that never trust this airline and if u find any of your belongings are lost then no use of going behind this as it of no use... We were a frequent traveller of etihad... Now we decided that we will never travel through etihad airline...

Etihad Airways poor service and bad experience

My partner and I had received a staff ticket to travel from Abu Dhabi to Perth on Thursday the 13th July at 2215 on flight EY486. We arrived at the airport on a connecting flight from Seychelles only to be told that the flight was overbooked and that we were not able to get on the flight. When I had asked your service desk when the next flight home would be available the man told us that Perth flights were overbooked for a week! Now I had explained to your staff that I needed to be home as both my partner and I had work the Monday after and to my surprise, the staff could not care less about the flight being overbooked. We are not from Abu Dhabi so we have no idea where to go and what to do, and your staff was very unhelpful and very disrespectful! He pretty much implied that it was not his problem that we were stuck in Abu Dhabi and that the company will not pay for anything because you are not liable!?!? We stayed in Abu Dhabi for 4 days, had to pay for our own hotels the whole time, only to find out that we had to come home through Melbourne. Your company did not even pay for the connection from Melbourne to Perth! So much for the 5-star service!? I will be writing about the airline and the crappy service, to Australian News broadcasters and News agencies, and I expect a full refund of all the money we had to spend because of your airline and its incompetencies! If you need for me to attach all the receipts of everything we have paid for, I most gladly will.
