Hi, I bought a carwash at ESSO 3340 Boul des scouse, Dollard des Ormeaux, H9B 3L8 on November 11th, 2022, at 11.18AM. The Cashier don't have name tag or uniform. she suggested me the Dimond car wash so did buy that and wash my car and it didn't really wash it probably and i paid 18.39$ with tax included. i went inside told the casher it didn't was it probably and she didn't even bother come out to check the car she is like it depends how dirty your car is, but it won't wash it probably and i can't do anything about it. i didn't ask for free wash i just want to advise her the car wash not washing it probably and normally when the machine spray the soap it will spray all over the car and you can't really see outside it wasn't the case when i washed it. she didn't want to listen to me, and she gave me a attituded and i been going to the same Esso since 2005. never experience it like this. she was like if you're not happy don't comeback. i went back and ask her for name she said ASLEY and when i was leaving she is like I'm the manager you can't do [censored] about it. you don't talk to the customer like this. I pump 200.00$ every week on this Location. it's not about the money it's how she treated me wasn't cool. I'm sure if she works there for long for sure the location will lose clients guarantied.

On 15/10/2022 I filled up at your station Mead road Greenford. For the first time I used Esso app. Two payments of £100 each were taken from my credit card which took me over my Santander limit - into penalties. I immediately contacted customer care. Your representative Diiana Dinca replied saying she would investigate and advise.

Since then over a month later the 2 payments of £100 have been cancelled so I do owe you for the fuel taken but how do I pay? You have my credit card details on the Esso app so surely you should take payment that way. Or advise me of bank payment details to pay. But I have received nothing.

So over a month latter

- I am still waiting from customer care to advise what to do

- am finding it impossible to contact customer care. I have sent over a dozen email and keep getting - message failed

And most annoying I now get letters/emails from VARS threatening penalties, doubling penalties, debt collection etc.

I take it VARS is acting for Esso.

I have informed them I am dealing with Esso customer care but they ignore this.

Unacceptable.

It seems VARS does not know what Esso is doing and Esso does not know what VARS is doing. This week customer care asked me to send VARS letters to them.

What a mess. Completely unacceptable and very very stressful. In my retirement and high blood pressure I really do not need this.

Purchased a car wash for truck. Did not clean at all. I want a refund. Girl said no and gave me another wash that did nothing. Truck still covered in dirt.

This wash should be shut down. It’s fraud to offer a wash that doesn’t wash and you charge money for it. I want a refund.

I have been a regular customer at esso for years. Twice a week I gas up at 3704-50 street because it is near my home. I can count on one hand when I receive a receipt in the last year. When I complain to a teller they smile and tell me its not there fault, its esso. To not get a receipt at the pump is an inconvenience and must walk into the store, wait in line, and ask for a receipt. Terrible service and reflects back to your company

I went to Esso on 109 street and Whyte avenue Edmonton yesterday at approximately 11 am. The store owner was talking very loudly to the woman at the cashier while she was handling cash for a customer. He was asking her all types of questions related to number of items she ordered etc, all while she was counting cash for the customer. After that customer left he continued asking her all types of questions. When I got to the till I said to the cashier, he shouldn’t be asking you questions like that while you’re handling money.

The manager/owner then came behind the counter and told her to ask for my ID. I am 54 so it is obvious I don’t need to provide ID. After I showed her my ID, he said take a copy of that ID and we will send it in to see if it is valid.

She looked at him and back at me said what? And I said he’s just being an [censored] and I left.

He didn’t like my comment to her about his inappropriate behaviour so he was being a jerk to me.

No problem as I went to the esso on 99 street and whyte avenue and received exceptional service and was even offered a free coffee because they just received new coffee machines.

The behaviour and action of the 109 street and whyte ave esso owner or manager is unacceptable and extremely bad for the Esso name!

My wife went to put gas in my vehicle.

She put $35 regular - when she went to go pay she gave the cashier $50 cash bill and he had the courage to ask my wife do you want your change back . What kind of people are you hiring? Something better be done - it's my 3rd complaint regarding this gas station.

The event took place on Oct. 10, 2022 at 16:03.

Date and time: Sep-20/2022, 15:29:53, ESSO station 1865 Avenue Rd.

I am confused as to the per-litre-price I should be paying at ESSO stations if I select the option offered to me: “Use 4000 points to get 10c/L off?".

Please note in that offer: there is no limit on the max amount of fuel you can pump.

I selected that option. Regular price shown at the pump was $1.749/L.

I pumped exactly 48.678L and paid $81.14.

On the receipt, I see I paid $1.749 per litre and a discount of $4 has been applied to my total bill.

I expected to pay $1.649/L AND a discount of $4 applied to my total bill.

Can you please explain how that works or is it just a scam?

I went for car wash. At esso gas station located at wallness and Creditview. Somebody already in car wash. he forgot to put the code outside.I didn't check the machine is not working. When I put my code. Machine start washing his car. He forgot to put his code outside. The guy run away after wash his car.I had premium wash. Then I went inside the gas station. I told everything to the guy who working inside the gas station. The guy name is Gurvinder. I told him somebody accidentally use my car wash. Please give me new one I had premium car wash. He refused to do that he doesn't have any manners to talk to coustmer. He was very rude. I paid for premium car wash.

Depanneur du coin in rivière vert n.b trans #439985 on Aug. 24 I stopped for fuel and the pump was super slow and one of the locals pumping as well said the owner cannot get filters for the pumps and that is why it was slow. I immediately stopped pumping and felt very uncomfortable driving our distance back to n.s. We were on a long trip and not happy.

I went into the gas station by my home at around 11:25 this morning to put $25 of gas in my car. I went inside to pay cash as well as buy a small bottle of coke so the total came up to $26.99. Gave the female clerk $27 and left to put my gas in. I noticed that when putting my gas, it went over the $25 I deposited, it came up to a total of $26.55 and normally when purchasing gas first, the meter would stop. So I went inside to pay the remainder and they were accusing me of stealing and that I owe $26.55. The female clerk made it out to the manager or owner that she's never seen me. She tried to pocket my money. It was only after atleast 3 times the owner/manager asked her if I paid or not that she confessed that I did in fact pay cash. Not only was this humiliating but his demeanor was not any better and both were extremely rude when proven wrong.

July 31,2022 @ 4:31 pm I attended this service station for gas. It was 103 degrees outside. Three people were having issues getting the pumps to work. One left without gas. A lady went inside station after complaining to me of weird pumps., she returned and still could not get pump to work. Went inside and had to pay for gas in advance.

I could not get my pump to work. I went inside. Young male, leaning up against the wall . I also explained the issue. He told me to try again. I went outside and tried again without success, so I went inside again. I asked if he had to reset the pump or do whatever he needed to do to supply gas. He was wandering aimlessly around the store.

He advised me “ we’re out of gas”

I said “ but the lady ahead of me got gas”

He said “ yes she did”

I said “ well how can you be out of gas”

He said “ I’m not going to sell you any gas”

I said “what.”

He said “ I don’t like your attitude “” you’re rude”

I said “ I don’t think you should go there” I need gas.

He said I needed to pay for it in advance.

Which I did and left.

This is not an employee that should be dealing in the public sector. . He was confrontational and condescending and I feel I deserve and apology.

If he works with the Band in this station, they should be advised, if not owner of this Esso should be advised of this persons work ethic and personal skills.

When I advised him of the windshield washer buckets being empty and one of the wipers being broken. He just shrugged, like he didn’t care.

I realize it’s difficult to find employees, but after working in the service station industry, I would appreciate feedback on my employees.

Problem: charged list prices for wine promos

On 3 separate occasions, the cashiers at these 2 outlets overcharged me by clocking the normal prices of the wines I wanted to buy on promotion.

Am Attaching receipts for the last 2. (The 1st happened abt 1-2 mths ago at the Ave 9 outlet & I don’t have the receipts. )

The latest happened 90 mins ago and worsened becos the cashiers

insisted that 1. there was no promotion & 2. that the wine and my petrol bill had to be billed separately when I sought a single bill.

I corrected them on the first by pointing out the promo price which was in front of the till within arms length. The male cashier offered no apology or acknowledgment but seemed upset that the mistake was pointed out to him. The female cashier who made the correction then insisted that the promo was only valid thru a separate receipt. I knew she was wrong becos I’d just bought the same wine on promo at an Esso Cheers outlet at Bedok North (see relevant receipt) 2 days ago & the cashier there not only knew the wine was on promo but logged my purchases in single receipt (petrol + promotion). I also rec’d a single receipt from the Tampines Ave 9 outlet that made a similar overcharge.

Instead of correcting her “no-single-receipt” mistake, she seemed happy enough when I replied to forget the wine purchase.

Price gauging of Diesel fuel!

I would like to report this illegal predatory price gauging!

I was at an Esso the other day just north of Port Hope.

Location; Village Variety Store RR#1 4572, County 2 rd, Port Hope, On L1A-3V5

The gas price seemed reasonable, so I thought the diesel would also be close.

It wasn’t until I looked at the pump and saw that it was 2.329 by this time I had already pumped.

45.8 liters cost me $106.68

I stopped the pump immediately and when I went to pay that lady, I complained about the price. She said, they give a cash rebate? I said I don’t want a cash rebate I just want the best price. She said some people like it.

She gave me $10 and told me to go away!

I over spent $24.28. Or 29% For the same fuel just down the street!

I than stopped just a few km away at another gas station Shell Canada 156 Toronto Rd, Port Hope and got diesel for $1.799.

37.2 liters cost me $66.94

This is price gauging; the price wasn’t listed on a sign, only at the pump.

How is this legal? The receipt does not show the $10.00 she gave me back.

As an Esso franchise this should be stopped! This is fraud!

I would like to be compensated for this fraud.

Hi,

My name is Ume Laila. I purchased 10 Price Privilege cards, thinking they are gas gift cards from Walmart. I bought them to help my children; but when I showed them to my husband he said that, our children would still have to pay for a gas because it is a fuel discount card, not a gas card.

I am stuck with $400.00 worth of Esso Price Privilege Cards.

I bought them from Scarborough Milner Walmart. I tried to return them but they refused and suggested me to contact the Esso store. The store said it is up to Esso to refund or replace them into gas gift card.

I contacted Esso call center 7 to 8 times but none of them gave me a satisfied reply. Some of them just hung up my phone which made me really upset and helpless.

Esso is a good company and I am one of your loyal customers if you do not resolve my issue then I will lose my $400 but you will lose many of your customers in future.

I hope you will understand my situation. If you cannot return these cards then at least replace them with gas gift cards.

This wasn't the first time this happened to me trying to buy gas in the morning before I start work usually around 5:40am -6:00am.

I was trying to fill up my v6 on march 02/22 at the esso on torbrom and countryside and the gas cut out at $27 .I just went in and paid got a car wash and left. This is the reason why I don't like to buy gas when the sun isn't up because this is how you are treated being black. They think because I'm black I'm either going to rob them at gun point or fill up my tank and drive off without paying

I visited to the above Esso Circle K on Feb 9 2022 aroud 22.45 pm. The cashier (Umar) did not ask me for car wash and argued I do not hear it. He can show me the audio record if I come back the next day and bra bra... by refusing to offer me a free cash wash as it advertised at the cashier counter.

Anyway, I am disppointed by his dishonesty and making up the excuses in order not to issue the free car wash.

Esso Circle K should have abandoned this scam if its employees are no able to honour what the management team promises to millions of Esso Circlr K customers.

Stopped at Tavistock Esso on 3 different occasions, every time the windshield washer station had no wash and each time I would tell the attendant.

When in the gas station on Feb 3/2002 at approx. 6:30pm and the only 1 washer squeegee that they have is broken. Went into the store to ask them how can I clean my windshield with the stick handle, the attendant (Herman)didn't seem to care...more interested to be on his cell phone.

Told me he didn't care if i complained.

This store is terrible..

Will go to the Shell Gas station down the road
