I ordered a book, Winter Morning Walks, on March 10 2021. The book never arrived. I have repeatedly asked for a refund by e-mail and by voicemail, but have not gotten a response. They charged me over $59.00 for a book that had retailed for $15.00 as it is rare and hard to find. At this point this is fraudulent and I have filed a case against them with Paypal. I never had a problem with Abebooks before, but Ergode Books is disdainful and should be put our of business.

I ordered from Fast Media 2 (also known as Ergode Books) many times but realized their modus operandi recently. It's happened numerous times that I place an order and they come back saying their books are shipped from US and are getting delayed. They they say the book is either stuck in customs or lost in transit. They then ask you if you want replacement or refund. Even if you ask replacement they give you a refund. Then they hike up the price of the book by 4-5 times and it's available online again! When questioned they say it's a listing issue, that the book is not in stock. But the listing continues to show forever.

Absolute crooks. No wonder that in this day and age, they don't have a tracking system so that they can mess about like this. And Amazon is hand in glove with such vendors. They refuse to take action saying they can't do anything about it.

I purchased two used books and they sent me another customers order (complete with their sensitive personal information). On notifying them that they shipped me the wrong order and that I wanted them to send me the correct items they hedged and kept passing me off from customer service person to person. None of them were intelligent enough or spoke English well enough to follow the email thread. I requested a refund for my items as they did not ship them to me and they refused and began ignoring me. I submitted a complaint to amazon and suddenly they were willing to rectify the issue but only if I sent them the item back first. I did this on Monday, they received it Tuesday, it has been over a day and they haven't issued me my $98+ in refund. I have had to send out about eighteen emails to try to recover my money and nothing so far. THIS COMPANY IS GARBAGE AND FRAUDLUENTLY CHARGES AND WUTHHOLDS THEIR CUSTOMERS.

On 4th September, 2017, I ordered a book online from Ergode Books (only 1 copy was available from Ergode Books) though Abe Books. The book was listed as "used: very good" and priced at £28.90 with the estimated delivery given as on or before 09 October, 2017.

A couple of weeks after I placed my order, I made a polite inquiry regarding the shipment to the vendor through Abebooks and was informed that according to them (Ergode Books) the item was lost in the mail and apologized for the "postal mess". Ergode Books then provided me with 2 options; to wait 3 to 5 weeks while they procure another book or to issue a refund. I kindly refused both and requested that shipping information be provided to me in the form of either a shipping invoice or a tracking number. Ergode Books did not comply.

In the meantime, I raised the issue with Abe Books while keeping Ergode Books informed in parallel. I made it clear that I did not wish to be issued a refund and made it clear that I had no problem waiting for Ergode Books to provide me with proof of shipping or a replacement book. It was clear...nothing was send to me to start with.

Ergode Books then arbitrarily imposed a refund upon me because they decided that it would take too long to find a replacement book as there was nothing in their "warehouse" or non-availability from any of their "suppliers" while Abe Books supported the decision and processed the refund on Ergode Books behalf.

During this entire process, Ergode Books continued to list the book on Abe Books though in a degraded condition from "used: very good" to "used: good" with an increase of price from £28.90 to £117.05! When insisting that I would accept the present listed book in a degraded condition while the refund was enforced upon me, I became fully aware of the scam the Ergode Books is running.

Further investigation convinced me to file an official complaint through the Texas BBB as Ergode Books is listed in that state but ultimately it was transferred to the BBB in Victoria, B.C. Canada. Sadly, because the refund had been issued, there was no other recourse though it was obvious that this was also favourable to Abe Books.

In noting the long list of subsidiaires under Fast Media and AmiVentures, including Ergode Books all of which are located at;

while pairing my experience with many other complainants towards what is obviously drop-shopping, book-jacking, etc it is a social responsibility to inform others by exposing Ergode Books and it's subsidiaires for what they are;

A RIP-OFF and a SCAM!

None of these are legitimate, including Ergode Books; nor are they in any way acting in the better interest of their customers. They cannot even be placed within a reasonable level of trust regarding making the simple provision towards providing ordered items to clients in a timely and professional manner. They cannot even be considered a provider in any reasonable definition because they do not have an inventory!

In making any queries related to Ergode Books and others connected to Ami Ventures, the internet is a treasure trove in presenting negative reviews and complaints towards them and I highly suggest that you heed the warnings.

If you're reading this review its probably too late. Here's my experience: I have contacted the seller and they claim the book has been lost but they will not provide any additional information such as the shipper or the tracking number to verify this claim. I even called the seller and personally asked for a refund and he said that the refund would process in a few hours. I check my phone a couple of minutes later and I received a text message that he is 'working on the checks' and is 'visiting family' so he won't be able to refund me until Oct 18th. The seller is a complete scam I have reported them to the abuse dept of biblio. Reverse the charges as soon as you can. His real name is RUPESHKUMAR SANGHAVI as shown by looking as the domain registration on who.is for ergodebooks.com. He is a scammer and I am reporting him on all fronts and I suggest you do the same.

Their strange behaviour makes me think they are real scammers. First of all, I never got my order and second, when I call them and ask for my tracking number they always refuse. They say that probably my package was lost. Great. Is it my fault? Just resend it. Offer an alternative, resolve this issue to satisfy your customer, who paid money.
Don't order from these scammers. Look through reviews about them at first and you will understand I'm not the only one out of money and books.

Ordered five books from Ergode Books website and never received them. I asked Ergode Books customer service many times but they were not able to tell when will my order arrive. At the begging they did reply but later they just stopped answering. They also did not give me a tracking number, so I bet that they never even shipped me anything. Scammers!

Ordered several books from this online store and received only one. Have no idea what happened with the rest of my order but it is impossible to contact them so I don't know what to do. Found their phone number but it is always busy. Do not buy from Ergode Books, it seems like they are not so trustworthy after all. I hope I'll get my book, but after I found some reviews about this company I really doubt that I will get the rest of my order.
