My name is Alanda Green I attended empire beauty in Savannah ga. While attending I was attracted by a student in the bathroom in a head lock round my neck I ran out the bathroom but did not tell anyone and did not report it she was very dangerous now I wish I would have reported it this would show the situation was not my fault as I return to class she has gone threw my bag and tried to steal from me thank god my books was in there instead of my wallet I left my pocket book in my car. As I returned to class I put my mannequin at the wash bowl and walked towards the instructor for a towel she came up to me from the back and hit me with a nail bowl and threatened me by saying things and cursing me that she was going to really hurt me I was very afraid no one took up for me while witnessing the situation what was happening in class and what they saw please give me a call at [protected] please call me so I can attend school again this is my dream to be a cosmetology and make my dream come true and my moms dream come true.

Hi I'm emailing you in regards to my visit to your business. I would like to point out some issues that I had with one of ur instructor ms.brown. I arrived around 1:15 pm with a full sew in when I filled out the walk in sheet everyone at front desk didnt seem focused on the customers at all. When I asked the receptionist do the school offer rod set she said yes. And she started to explain to me about the chemical reaction agreement waiver. I asked her may I hold her scissors ms. Brown quickly reply they was daul and I couldn't use and I would have to use a student. I said ok sat and got seated with in 10 minutes when I walk to sit ms.brown tell me no food or drink I handed her my drink so she can trash it she laughs then tell me where the trash was. When I went to throw away I see her whisper in the student ear something. As soon as I sit she have the student tell me she can't take out my hair. I said I didn't ask her to I just wanted to hold a pair of scissors. Ms.bowrn then says by cutting out my tracks with her scissors it will make them dual. I asked ms.brown why would u have me seated if u knew that I could of went to the store instead of waiting to be seated for you to tell me basically I should of came prepared. Ms.brown tell me I dont have to wait again just go get some and come back. I do as such, the student talk to me while I was taking out getting my rods ready and setting up her station to do my hair. I take out my hair ms.brown was doing rounds came to my station touched my hair while smiling and said my hair was going to come out really good because it is full. Ms. Brown call the student's for a close out meeting, while in the meeting I was called to the front to pay. I paid even though I was no where near finished. At 4:27 ms.brown and another director come to me and say we are about to close and I have yo walk out with the rods in my hair. The director look at my hair and tell me the style I wanted wasn't going to last because my hair was to thick. And I can't sit under the dryer because the student had to leave. Im very disappointed I came to beauty school to walk out with wet hair, most salons or hair schools make their client feel beautiful and such Behavior should not be coming from a teacher. Only thing ms.brown cared about was refunding my money so she can leave. Not even a apology for her inconvenience. I understand the prices are cheap but I shouldn't be treated like a bum. I choice empire so when I tip I know its helping the student grown in there career.I pray that u talk to ms.brown about her attitude students was so scared to even help each other because of her. She come off very sarcastic and bitter. Beauty school is a place to come to wine down and dolled up not made a joke out off. In very disappointed.

The staff there is very unprofessional my daughter is a student there and calls me crying in anger at least twice a week.the director of the school asked my daughter if it's true she called her a [censored] on the way out and if so to say it to her face. What professional in there right mind would say such a thing.Its sad how much that schools staff is and that they actually get away with it

I have been here since 9:15 because the services are supposed to begin at 9:30. It is now 10:11 and I have YET to be seated. You guys are pretty unprofessional and have no respect for people's times. I surely won't be recommending this salon to others and will make sure it is known how unsatisfied I am. It you'll like to be taken seriously, be honest and stop falsely advertising information.

Called for an appt. Was given a 9:00. Come in at 8:45 sit there until 10:00 after everyone who came in behind me has been served. Went to front desk to be told the person who my appt was with is not there. They don't start serving until 9:45. And I can't make an appt for next day because of a reason I didn't understand. When I made my appt on the phone I was not only given a 9:00 appt with the person I asked for but was told I would receive a confirmation phone call as well. Didn't happen. I had an 11:00 appt elsewhere to today so I was sure to plan out my time appropriately. Horrible job with communication empire. I had to go to my appt with wild hair. I was saddened by this because i'm a loyal customer there but usually only do walk-ins. I wont be back. Receptionist couldn't even explain why.

I attend school November 29, 2018 after receiving information a child I once cared for passed. I still went to school but with a clear mind had two clients and a client I had the day before on the 28 returned back because I did a manicure on her with gel polish and the polish came off so I told her I'll fix her nails now I know a product wasn't available for me to use the day before so I asked my teacher why wasn't the product with the other items because my client was really annoyed so my teacher rolled her eyes at me and turned her back so I noticed how very unprofessional that was and I returned back to my station and started to pack my belongings it was already hard walking into school knowing a child I once cared for passed so I left I returned the next day to speak to the director and the teacher lied on me stating I accused students in stealing and that never happened so we was suppose to have a meeting all three of us my director my teacher and as well myself on the following Monday that's when my Director lied in my face stating I threatened my teacher and dropped me I already told her last Friday I was dropping because it's very unprofessional I will go without a lunch while everyone else will receive a lunch and they will book my clients back to back. My director also stated she had emails from clients stating I threatened her now one thing I don't have time for is to be lied on I work a over night job at a school for blind children so I know how to carry myself. The teachers pick an choose who they friends with and let students do whatever they want there is a student that charges Clients more money then what they suppose to pay at empire... YES SHE MAKES HER OWN PRICE AND THEY PAY EMPIRES PRICE AND PAYS HER THE REASON SO SHE WILL CHARGE 45/50 dollars wash set and deep conditioning

The manger is picky
The instructor is indirectly speak unprofessional. The instructor is a liar an Katrina keep changing her rules trying to send me home.
I got to class my locker was open
Somebody stole my manaquin.
The instructor refused to give me a makeup date.
They don't care if a stay or go.
Katrina made that known so many times before. The instructor enjoy lying.

The worst $20, 000 decision I've ever made. Everyday I came to class I felt as if it was such a scam. When I came to get information to enroll they made it out to be the best beauty school around, that they pretended to care and provide an excellent education. It's none of that. This career has stuck by me since I was little and this school single handedly defeated that dream. I'm not comfortable getting a job in a salon because the lack of education is outstanding. I learn more from YouTube videos and other social media. Also there is constant drama. Nothing gets done if another student bullies their peer. The school doesn't allot enough money for their inventory which leaves us with barely any product to use on clients-color, hairspray, shampoo and conditioner, etc. For the educators...the new hires and the rest of the faculty talk to you with lack of respect, we're all legal adults that attend this school so therefore we shouldn't be talked to as if we're the scum on the bottom of their shoes. Granted there are two teachers at my school's location that show they care about their students and want to educate. For them I am grateful. The best thing you might get out of attending Empire Beauty School is MAYBE a few new colleagues. All in all Empire "Education" group is just a giant scam.

My daughter attended empire beauty school center city campus in Philadelphia. She was bullied cornered in a bathroom. I spoke to administrators several times. Now they kicked my daughter out and now she can't return to any empire to continue her education. The administration up there are unprofessional. They don't care for the safety of others. If you speak to the administration about a problem instead of handling it they run back and tell the other party involved and it causes more confusion.

I've suddenly come to realize I was completely lied too. During consulting your future within the school and orientation you are told you will learn hair, skin, and nails equally. You soon learn the fundamentalsof acquiring a cosmetology degree is hair and the science of it. You learn makeup for a total of two full school days! You receive a kit but need to use a lot of the schools as well. Take a look at what they want us to practice acrylic on! This is just one thing out of the ton I could complain about.

Empire beauty school, specifically the one in lancaster, pa, is so done. Empire will ruin itself. It is riddled with inconsistency and corruption.
My white friend was low in attendance and had a warning to get her attendance up or she would get kicked out. My black friend was low on attendance and kind of waiting to be warned but trying hard to catch up. They pulled her in the office and I thought oh she's getting warned. No she was dropped on the spot with no warning. They didn't even give her a chance. Now c'mon what do you think that was really about?
The kit was horrible, the scissors are dull, makeup kit not complete, the Clippers will die on you within 15 uses, your combs will easily break.
As for the products, they're are none. We never have all the hair color. I had my sister come of the scalp treatment and they didn't have the peppermint shampoo. That is the best part! That's what I wanted her to experience. I can't up sell because we have no products to up sell. What am I supposed to up sell, we have nothing. I had to improvise on color, I had to use big sex hair as clarifying shampoo. We're doin crap service cuz we have nothing. How are we supposed to learn how to use products when there are none.
There is favortism, lies, bullying by students and teachers alike. Yes I said teachers. There are 2 teachers that aren't corrupt, that actually care about your education. That's two teachers, not administration, and the good ones always end up leaving. I'm just doing my time, learning on my own from YouTube and the book cuz no one will help me learn. And for the girl you just dropped and snatched her dream away from her without giving her a second chance when she was trying, I will never recommend this school to anyone. I will tell them any other beauty school but there. It's not worth your money or time to waste on that school. Stay away!
There is so so much more but I don't want to waste my precious thoughts on that dump.

I am extreamly upset with administration. I have been through hell during this duration of my life, school has been a huge struggle for me, being sicker than the average person with a lot of appointments yet I'm 100 percent and never let excuses get in my way. I am having an emergency hysterectomy next week and NEEDED to graduate on time. I graduate today. I was looking forward to my "spot light" a light shined individually on each student before they graduate. Ms Brugaman didn't even approach me about any of this until yesterday, and when she did she was completely rude to me about it, as if I was an inconvenience. Sam, another student doesn't graduate for another week and she has hers done June 28th posted to the Facebook page. When I sat with Ms Steele, she was so busy people were in and out of her office while she was talking to me, interrupting continuously... and I felt extremely rushed out, like she had better things to do. I'm extremely disappointed that apparently everyone got busy and I had been "forgotten" about me, when I hope in the future they schedule that better for other students. I do not feel that the hard work or struggle was ever acknowledged like I see other students get constantly, and it's extremely discouraging knowing I tried so hard. Whether a student or student instructor we're still all students and looking past how unstructured this course was I feel the few parts I looked forward to I was completely stripped of.

Empire Beauty School at the dunwoody location is completely a scam ! We pay all this money to go to school & we are told all these different things in the beginning that aren't true ! The school barley has any products & I understand it's a new shipment every month, but it's an everyday thing ! The school slaves you with clients not giving you anytime to work on your credits that you need to graduate ! With your credits not being done you can't leave the program to finish until it's completed ! With them constantly taking away your time to do credits, explains why a lot of people haven't graduated because it becomes overwhelming! I would not recommend this school to a soul !

My daughter attends this school and is having an issue with school not providing enough direction and I witnessed it today. My wife went there yesterday for a manicure and there were four girls doing nails and only one gel light to use between them all to use. My daughters first day on the floor and her first customer came in for a hair treatment to gradually have color go from light to dark. Instead of have many different chemicals to make this large transition, they only had one of them. When she asked how she was to get this done with one chemical, they told her that's they only way she can do it and it's too bad. Her friends hair turned out terrible and yet again she got help or direction.
We are paying a lot of money for her to go to this school and there should be not only adequate coaching and guidance but without a doubt should have the supplies needed to do all appropriate hair, nail and feet care. I expect action taken to improve this facilities coordination and supplies. I will reach out to the regulation board if there is no improvement shortly.

I came with a situation out of my hands explaining to my director. Someone in this school is stolen and do whatever they want because nobody do nothing here. They stole my credit card here and take $700 dollar out of my accounts and when I explain that to her she give me actitutte and telling me I'm the only one that have always this problem. Why I came to school? I can stay home. Excuse me but that not proffesional. I just graduated in 2 months and she tell me that. I'm just tired of this situation in school. I paid a lot o money for came here. And this is no the way that you suppose to treat your students.

I just transferred to the Morrow Georgia Empire school from the Speedway Indianapolis Indiana Empire school about two weeks ago. Being here at Morrow has taught me nothing. The teachers lack knowledge of all products and services. They do not help the students with skills. Questions go unanswered and often associated with an attitude. Students are unprofessional when it comes to dealing with clients. Students aren't getting clients in a steady rotation meaning we have to physically go to the front desk to ask for a client. Many of the students refuse clients so the client is stuck up front waiting to be serviced by whoever comes to ask for a client next. You can wait for hours waiting for a client because if you didn't know how they operated, you would be completely lost. There are cliques here and the staff is included. The students often talk about sex and drugs in front of clients or they gather at dispense to gossip. DO NOT COME TO THIS SCHOOL!

I've been at Empire for almost a year-and-a-half for almost more than 6 months I feel as though I'm as the rose that hasn't been living up to the rules of Empire or the guidelines itself she does very poorly with telling me when I graduated and how many hours I have left which led me to not graduate with the people that are around me the most which is my family and friends this was a big milestone in my life and I told her this she did not help me at all to try to figure out my hours or to help me have a better conscious on graduating at Empire not only that but she did not prepare me for anything of graduation there is more things but I would like for somebody to contact me via email or phone number please feel free to call me at [protected] my email is qianamendez [protected]@gmail.com also since I graduated I would like for this to be written down in her papers of employment to know that she does not do what the job entitles please reach me as soon as possible a former graduate of Empire Beauty School

My name is Catalina and about three months ago I went to enroll at empire Beauty school located in Aurora Colorado. They told me I couldn't start school on the first day due to some fafsa difficulties I had. I also looked at the contract and the amount on the contract wasn't the same amount that the counselor Kevin had given me before enrolling. After all of that happened I asked Kevin to drop me and he said it was a good idea and that he would refund me the $25 dollars I had paid for the enrollment fee but it has already been three months and he hasn't given me my money back because he says he has to talk to corporate and that they would send it to me by mail. Till this day I haven't gotten my money back! I was really excited to go to school but this has been some really bad experience.
