Elvolinenot responding to requests to cancel booking

I currently have a hotel booking which is free to cancel until 19th October. For over two weeks I have been emailing and messaging trying to cancel because I lost my flights due to Thomas Cook going bust. They will not respond to my emails or messages. I have tried to call and it's just a voicemail no matter what option you choose - the message says, ‘go to the website.' The website isn't manned. No one is responding. They owe me £1500 and I can't cancel or get my money back. I don't know where to turn!! It's a complete farse.
