I travelled from Galway to Dublin port using the M50 on 7Sept. It was stressful as we had a puncture to fix while at the port before boarding the ferry. I received a penalty charge letter with photo of car on 22Oct, charge was not excessive £7.13 so paid it.
On reflection i realised I'd paid the charge whilst on the ferry crossing, checked my bank account to confirm. I therefore appealed via internet eFlow/EPCPLC portal. After several days i received a new link with letter saying I'd used the M50 twice and therefore the case was closed.
I've tried to telephone to speak to someone, or even rechecked the portal but there's no options to provide explanation or way to 'chat' with a customer complaints team member
It is just infuriating that they can treat people like this. They do not treat us like customers at all. Us users are just a money making process for them. I'll look for an alternative route next time
Very, very poor service. I shall continue to search how i can make a formal complaint
Recommendation: Don't expect any service from them
