eFax j2 efax plus service

I have been unable to cancel this account despite trying several times. My reference number is mt70050319000010, other number on statement is [protected]. Can you please do something about this. We have now sold the business but this payment is still being taken off. There is £9.00 being deducted every month, the last email I received said that they couldn't find our account. All the reference numbers are there so can't really understand why this would be so. I would be really grateful if this could be sorted out.

eFax unauthorized credit card charges

I subscribed for their eFax service for one can send faxes and receive faxes through an email address. I tried to send a fax of one page on Dec. 31st, 2015 and got charged 10 euros. After contacting customer support, I was informed by email that I must have surpassed the maximum number of pages I was allowed to send under the terms of the subscription service. That was the only fax I sent in the period of several months. After contacting customer support by phone, I was told that their systems calculates the charge for a fax automatically and has indicated that I have to be charged extra. I was also told that there is no way they can reimburse me and instead will offer me a number of extra pages I can send for the month.

I haven't used the service since and in July, I was informed by my bank that J2 Global is tried to charge my credit card several times for a small amount and that the attempts were rejected because they seemed suspicious. I contacted customer support and asked to halt my annual subscription which was due to renew in August. I thought that was it until on August 14th, I was contacted again by my bank to inform me that there were 4 additional attempts to charge my credit card which is now expired.

It would be appreciated if they terminate my subscription immediately and stop making ridiculous attempts at charging my expired credit card.

eFax fraud

I had an account on eFax website and decided to cancel my subscription because they fraudulently took my money without my permission. They charged over $170 for a one year membership! They never asked my permission and I never told them I wanted to become a member! I immediately contacted customer service and asked them to refund my money but they said that according to their policy that was not possible. In the end they finally agreed to cancel my account but never gave my money back. I would not recommend eFax to anyone! Save your hard earned money!

eFax electronic fax

They offer you a 30 day trial for free but gather your info to continuously charge your account. The trick is that they wait for over 60 days to make the first charge hoping you won't notice. You can't get through to cancel anything right after you sign up for the trial so time goes by. The only way I got notification was from my bank which is tied to my paypal account. Luckily my statement had a bone vide contact number. I called and spoke to someone who was more than willing to issue a cancellation at that time but would not issue a refund. I never authorized the use of my card for a subscription of any sort. In fact, I never even used their trial offer. Watch out for this company.

eFax efax.com (efax) is a scam

eFax is a scam.
I've signed up for their 30 day trial and decided to cancel the next day. Simple, right?
Nope.
You can only cancel by contacting their customer support which is abysmal. Expect to be on hold for a w-h-i-l-e.
And guess what? They charged me $10 activation and $16.95 for one month.

The trial period is a scam. Don't give them your cc info.

eFax detractions from my barclay card

About 6 months ago or more i've cancelled my e-fax account, but they still debit my barclay card every month - last one on
"27.01.2016 23.01.2016 22.01.2016 j2 efax plus service [protected] gb 490638xxxxxx1264 elisabeth walther 13, 42-"
Not only that I informed them that I did not want e-fax anymore and I didnt use it, but also that i'd not allow them anymore to deduct the amount of 13, 42€/month from my barclay card.
Until today they continue to deduct these amounts and don't even reply to my complaints.
Since barclay card can neither refund nor stop the bookings, i'd ask you to please help me in this matter and inform me of what I can do in this case.

eFax j2 global

October 27, 2015 i called into customer service to ask why my account was charged for the service that i cancelled on September 13, 2015. They then asked for a confirmation number which i did not have. They said because i don't have a confirmation number that i have to pay for the service. This is not an acceptable practice by any company involving telephone, internet, fax or any other service mandated by the FCC. I am personally filing an FCC complaint against this company for Fraud, Deceptive and Scam Practices. I suggest all others that are having an issue to do the same. Over 17 dollars, this company must be the biggest low life company in the world.

eFax fraudulent charges

I cancelled the Efax service in 2012 and J2 Global has continued to charge me annually to my mastercard account. Unfortunately I did not catch their billings on my credit card until today, where I just caught that they charged me $169.50 on Feb 11 and called them today, Feb 24 and they refused to issue me a credit for this year. They will not issue credits. This is fraud.

eFax scam

In February or 2014, I needed to fax a document do I looked online for a fax program. The first one I found was efax. It was suppose to be a free trial, but asked for your cc number, so that is you liked the service you could just not do anything and they would charge you. It never worked, so I called and canceled it. Problem is, they didnt cancel it. I called when I got the statement, and the man I talked with was extremely rude. I never got any confirmation from them at all about the cancellation and forgot about it - until I checked my husbands account and realized that they had been taking $ out of it ever since February and it was then May! I called my bank - USAA, who promptly took the money back from them and replaced it in my husband's account. Today, I got a call from USAA stating that if I didn't have the confirmation number, then I would have to replace the $ to them. They gave me the number to efax, and I called them to ask for a confirmation number and complained that i had never been able to use their efax because it didn't work. The man immediately became irate and talked over me. Again, he never gave me a confirmation number. I went online to report them and found this website with many, many complaints stating the very same thing that I have just told you. I realize now that they are a scam and want something done about it. My husband and I are on a fixed income and cannot afford to pay this company almost $70 for nothing! If you can help me, I sure would appreciate it.
Thank you

eFax credit card fraud / scam

The company offers online fax services under their eFax brand. There is an option for a 30-days trial (no strings attached), but you have to provide your credit card details (apparently for security reasons) I took the trial, the service did not work at all, only when you sign up for their paid services you will get any functionality. I did NOT sign up but instead cancelled the trial-period right away. My cancellation was received and the reception of it confirmed a few days later.

Since then, J2 Global is charging my credit card with their monthly premium fee. It is not possible to contact them in any other way but by telephone, which is impossible since the line is always kept engaged. The only way to end this is to blocked your credit card to prevent them from using it anymore. After some research I contacted the Vice President/General Manager, Europe Paul Kinsalla ( paul.[protected]@j2global.com ), who replied that he forwarded my complaint. But in the end I only got another email saying, that I did not cancel my subscription but they can offer me a cheaper payment plan.

Finding lots of similar complaints about this company on the internet one can only assume, that organised credit card fraud is part of their business model.

KEEP YOUR FINGERS OFF THEIR TRIAL OR ANY OTHER OFFER. YOU WILL LOOSE MONEY AND WILL HAVE A LOT OF HASSLE WITH YOUR CREDIT CARD!

eFax terrible business practices and service

Every negative comment you see on this site about efax is 100% true. In my opinion they are one of the most difficult and unethical companies I have ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Rather than be redundant of all the other complaints, I will simply say that, if anything, the complaints may be understated. If there was ever a case for Buyer Beware...this is certainly it!

Beware, if you signup for their service you CANNOT PORT YOUR NUMBER to another service. eFax charges more than twice as other services and are the only company to DISSALLOW PORTABILITY. What a slimy way to lock in clients.

Ok, it happens sometimes, but don't get upset. There are always honest service providers and you can always shift to them. I advice you to take a closer look at Popfax.com. You can use it from PC or from mobile (http://m.popfax.com) and they have many different features and offers, so see by yourself!

eFax class action

We are investigating a class action lawsuit against eFax in connection with its false and misleading advertising of its allegedly free 30-day trial. We intend to seek compensation for consumers who have tried unsuccessfully to cancel their service. I never signed up for J2 Efax but discovered they had been taking money from my account for nearly a year. I called and emailed this last January and they said they cancelled. I discovered today that they are still taking money out of my account. I can only chat online with them if I click new customer, which I am not, and existing customer, which I am not, they are just stealing from me. Right now they owe me $322.83. Can someone please help? When I call to speak to someone they just hang up on me.

eFax billing, did not cancel when requested

I signed up for efax nearly 3 years ago, sent ONE Fax and 'cancelled' the next day by phone, since then I have now been billed £350 for this mistake.
Only on winding up my wife's business account did I see that they are still charging us for this (unused) service.
Called them again today to vent my anger at having had this money stolen from me, I was (at first) told that they had no record of me calling them at all, let alone to cancel, and that despite of them recording all phone calls they could not listen to mine unless I could give them not only the date of the call, (early Nov' 3rd-6th, probably the 4th 2009 is the best I can do) but they want the exact time down to the individual minute that the call went through, although they couldn't tell me if that was the time I made the call, it was answered by the switchboard or computerised answering service or when I actually finally got through their options menu.
It has to be the exact minute however as they can only, so they say, look up phone calls using the time it came in and not by looking up either the number called from, the account number or any other customer details, convenient eh?
Then after telling me at first a couple of times that there was no record of me ever contacting them by phone for any reason, the girl I was speaking to suddenly said that she had in fact now just seen a record of me calling in to their customer dis-service centre on the 4th Nov 2009, the very day I told then was almost certainly the day I called to cancel, being the day after I sent the late night fax, the only time I ever used the service.
Yupp, she said that she could see that I had phoned in, but no notes on the system saying why I had !
I pointed out that the most likely explanation was that the staff member had simply not done their job correctly, possibly had even just not hit the 'Enter' key to input the cancellation request at end of call, might even have been a new member of staff, easy mistake to make, I know as have spent 18 months working in a call centre, (Saga) myself and I see this sort of thing happen now and again with peoples car insurance not being started or cancelled, or new car details not being entered, it just happens sometime.
Big difference in how it's handled however.
Still at least she told me t5hsat she had seen on screen that I had called in the day after I had sent the only fax I ever did.
She told me that she could only arrange a refund of the last four months fee's due to their own internal policies, I was not too happy about this and asked to speak to her manager, was told not available, only after repeatedly pointing out that I have a right to speak to her manager under UK consumer law a few times did her manager suddenly magically arrive.
He then contradicted his own staff by telling me that there was in fact, (& I use that word quite loosely) now No Record of me calling in ever! Despite only being told ten minutes earlier that there was such a record, the manager when I pointed out that I had just been told by his staff that there was a record of this call would only state that he had 'not heard her say that', not surprising as he was 'not around' when she was telling me this.
I pointed out that all he had to do was listen to the call recording and he then told me he would be happy to do so if I could tell him to the minute when I made the call so he could 'look it up on the system'
Even though the call was still in progress he couldn't replay it unless I could give him the exact minute I called, still though he couldn't tell me if that was the exact minute I placed the call, it was picked up by switchboard or actually got through to a staff member

Personally I'd steer well clear of this lot if you think you should get what you pay for

eFax pricing and porting issues

Deceptive business practices, overage charges, terrible customer service, the list goes on and on.

I actually signed up with a service called callwave about 10 years ago. In 2010 Callwave sold off their fax service to j2 Global / eFax. Now eFax refuses to let people port away their numbers even though portability laws exist. I had two eFax numbers via Callwave.

After contacting the CEO of j2 Global "Hemi Zucker" at his home in Encino, CA a few years ago my first eFax number was released. Since then they have changed their terms page dozens of times which can be found on archives.org using the "waybackmachine".

You can find the j2 Global CEO, Hemi Zucker on Linkedin here: http://www.linkedin.com/pub/hemi-zucker/0/a72/420. We sent him a complaint via inmail which he forwarded the eFax division president Aragorn Hansard: Office of the President. His mailto is: [protected]@mail.j2.com | His phone number is:1.888.760.1112 and his eFax number is:1.323.843.9669.

Aragorn responded in a less than satisfactory way and certainly not an effective way to retain or get a good reputation in the industry. From what I've seen online and from his response to our complaint, the corporate mentality starts at the top. Basically is $%&@ the customer. If you have any issues with eFax I suggest you send your complaints directly to Aragorn, not that it will do any good.

If you have porting questions or issues, the efax / j2 Global porting Coordinator is Wilson So mailto:Wilson.[protected]@j2.com or mailto:[protected]@j2global.com. He "evoice" number is [protected]. eFax just plain sucks, and honestly I don't know how they are still in business.

eFax no refund policy

I began receiving unauthorized faxes that were over 100 pages from an unknown source. Apparently buried in efax terms and conditions are that any faxes that exceed their page limit will be charged $10 per fax, and they do not need to notify you when these charges are incurred. Terrible policy! I received 37 faxes over 100 pages over the period of about a month or so, and in turn they charged me $370. Mind you, I do not know who sent these to me and did not authorize them. They were all computer jibberish, no way to know how to stop them from coming. I did not know I was incurring charges on these faxes until far too late, after receiving my american express bill. I spent over an hour on hold waiting for a customer service rep, explained the situation and they said they could not provide refunds and I would need to go to another department. I sat on hold for another 40 minutes, and was told by the next person that they could not help me with refunds and would have to call back because the department that handles this are "unavailable". I asked to speak with a supervisor and was also told they were "unavailable". I went to american express to get these charges reversed, and all they did was send me a copy of efax terms and conditions and refused to give me a refund. I then called again to efax to attempt a resolution and get a refund, and after sitting on hold for another hour, the csr said they didn't give refunds so I asked for her manager. Her manager, by the way, was incredibly rude, inconsiderate, and in broken english (their customer service is in india), told me they unequivically do not give refunds per their company policy. The most unethical, inconsiderate, and unprofessional company I have ever had the displeasure of doing business with. I am stuck owing american express $370 for unauthorized charges and no ability to get them reversed. Do not do business with this company!

eFax un reasonable charge and cheat behaviour

I signed up 30 day free trial. It will charge $12.49 per month if I continue to use efax service after 30 day free trial. I requested cancellation of the service withthin 30 days. And I got confirmation email from efax about the concellation of the service. To my surprise I got a bill with $48.22, even not $12.49/month. I tried to complain this to efax customer service, but the page efax.com/cancel did not exist. They play the game Hide and Seek.

eFax In-depth Review

In Summary: eFax offers a comprehensive online fax service that allows users to send and receive faxes via email, the web, or mobile app. With a user-friendly interface and a variety of subscription plans, eFax caters to both individual and business needs. While it provides a range of features and reliable service, pricing can be a bit steep compared to some competitors. Customer support is robust, and security measures are in place to protect sensitive information. The mobile app enhances the convenience of faxing on the go, and while integration with other tools is somewhat limited, user reviews generally reflect satisfaction with the service. However, users should be aware of the cancellation policy to avoid unexpected charges.

Mobile App Experience: The eFax mobile app is available for both iOS and Android devices, offering the convenience of faxing on the go. The app is well-designed and maintains the functionality of the web service.

Integration with Other Tools: While eFax integrates with email clients, it has limited integration with other business tools and software, which may be a drawback for some users.

User Reviews and Testimonials: User reviews for eFax are generally positive, with customers appreciating the convenience and features of the service. However, some users have noted the higher cost as a negative factor.

Cancellation Policy and Refunds: Users should be aware that eFax requires notice for cancellation, and it is important to understand the terms to avoid continued billing. Refund policies are not prominently advertised, so users should inquire directly with customer service.
