Edgars Fashion / Edcon they falsely made me pay for what I did not agree to get more did I get it but I was paying for 8 months

Hi I have an account with Edgars and 11 months ago they deliberately signed me up with a contract for data and airtime that they did not give me, I have been paying for it and when I am asking for my refund they just ignore me.

I have called them so many times before and u have struggled to pay up this account because of them trying to milk money from me as much as possible. Now am not sure what else to do because no one wants to help

Good Day

I opened a Jet account and explained to the consultant that I want my account to have the 6 months option not knowing that it doesn't exist anymore and he never explained this to me.
I collected my card on the 6 August explaining I don't want any of the account benefits.
On the 12 August I wanted to make a purchase on 6 months and was told there's only 12 months, I decided to not purchase and close the account instead but I was told to settle a balance of R50 I could not understand why I have a balance on an account that is open for less than 30 days and was not used. The lady called the call centre and explained to them they said they will investigate and email me.
Next I received a statement of R150 due I am really not happy about this and want it sorted asap.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon shelley full panties

I only purchase Shelley brand panties but would request that you please use broader elastic. The elastic used might be fine for kids, but trust me they don't work for adults.

I end up sewing the sides smaller or it feels like the things fall off all the time. I can actually feel them sliding down as I walk.

And please stock more in the Edgars stores its a mission to find full panties not everyone likes gstrings etc.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon rayban sunglasses

I purchased a rayban sunglasses from the sunglass hut inside Edgar's store and my wife has taken it three times to be resized she was told by Mustafa Ismail that he will change it after they looked at my pop they said nothing can be done as it is 3 months old and then this guy started to be nasty to my wife after my wife had asked him why did he say that he is going to change it and she told him that she is going to complain about this and he told her she can do whatever she wants she is a wimp

Edgars Fashion / Edcon Wrong allocation of payment - account in arrears but payment was made 01/08/2019

It has come to our attention that my payment made 01/08/2019 has not been allocated to my account. I have attempted countless amounts of time to contact the payments department with the proof they require and i have not heard a single word back regarding this matter. This is possible the worst service received and once this has been resolved i will pay my account in full and you will most definitely loose myself and my partner as clients as well as any friends and family. This is detrimental to my credit score and can damage future possibilities for my financial future. Please keep in mine that on my partners account we are in a credit as well. I will now expect the credit to be refunded as we will be terminating our accounts.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon unethical behaviour - selling a policy

On 03 May 2019 Miss JD Lukhele went into Edgars Protea Glen to pay her account and she was assisted by Zilo Sello - Agent 1340066, Informed her that she was pre approve for a credit increase and Miss JD Lukhele said she was not interested and Sello advised her that she must take the credit increase as she doesn't have to use it so she agreed to the increase.

But what Sello did was sell her a policy - TP28120305190735782 without her consent and only this month August 2019 she received a letter about the policy that she did not consent to and when she went back to Edgards Protea Glen to speak to Sello to have the policy cancelled, he denied it and she had to find someone else to help her have the policy cancelled as he was not interested in helping her at all.

JD Lukhele is a senior and she was sold a policy that she did not want or even consent to and when she went to complain and have the policy cancelled she was treated like she is crazy and does not know what she is talking about. Selling facilities that clients do not want or do not consent to is against the National Credit Act, I need this dealt with and an apology sent to Miss JD Lukhele or we are taking this matter to the National Credit Act.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon unhygienic conditions & bad management

I live next to the mall at Northwold ext11, we suffer rat infestation coming from the receiving area where trucks deliver, the store has no bin they throw their trash on the floor feeding rats, the area is filthy, papers everywhere, meat bones, etc. Its a haven for rats I'm considering filling for a law suit. Thanks to that incompetent manager called Cornelius.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon outstanding payment messages

I pd my acc via eft (amount due) on 1 Aug2019, received calls on 7 Aug re outstanding payment. Received sms 9 Aug re outstanding payment. Phoned 12 Aug, amount due still outstanding. How long does it take to update your system? Being harrassed with messages and calls although acc has been paid. Acc department please make sure you update your payments. Calls and sms like these make me realize why I don't want an account with Edgars.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon shelley 3 pack bras

Good day

I purchased underwear from Edgars on 15/06/2019.
Not long after, the one bra started to tear between the cups.
Now, I have another one with the metal coming out.
Underwear is very expensive, you cannot return it or get a refund, but you expect from us to pay for underwear and then sit with the faulty product.

I have no clue why the quality is so poor these days.

Hope you can sort the quality out for when I go buy some underwear again, because I might just stop buying them if it happens again.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon edcon group account fraud and non rica compliant

Since submitted a dispute on the 18 July 2019 for fraudulent transactions on my account. Still no response or contact and now is more than 10 working days.

Lots of inside job accounts fraud for Edcon Group. Fraud done on my card while I had my card with me. 1. My email statement was disabled It was changed to post. 2. Edcon Group is not Rica compliant, because my account was used to purchase a cellphone to the value of R6000. 00 without ID or proof of address required in Edgar's Maphonya. All happens while I had my card with me. I only realized when I find out that my installment is abnormal. People be worned with Edcon Group accounts, make sure u always check your statements.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon shelly underwear

Bought a 5 pack of shelly underwear about 2 or 3 months ago and only just started using them last week, i now notice that 2 of them have missed stitches at the elastic... This is really poor quality in this batch... I only ever wear shelly and never had this issue before, however I am really annoyed with this waste of money. Please can someone assist with this ASAP.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon clothes quality

on the 2nd of July 2019 we bought clothes for my son at the east rand. he wore pants a few days later and after 1 wash I realised the pants were torn, I returned the pants but now the pyjamas he wore last week are damaged after 1 wash as well. i do not have proof of payment with me as i am based in Durban and my husband is the account holder and based in johannesburg

good day, i would just like to know were can we get RoHS Compliant
QDK11-D 220-240v-50Hz plug for my boardmans elektric blanket, i bought one last year at Edgars in Clearwater mall, for my double bed the one that have both sided plugs, and the one on the left hand side seems to be not working anymore, not complaining just need to get another one of these plug if you can isses me please thank you mrs Manning

Edgars Electronic Statement - [protected]
I tried to log into my online statement with my ID number and it kept telling me it is incorrect. IMy account then got blocked/suspended for logging in 3 times with the wrong ID number. I send an email to ask what the problem was and a kind person Faiza Patel from Edcon came back to me and said my ID last 3 numbers on your system are wrong and I must just use the one he given me until sorted. This is fraud to ask me to use someone else ID to open my own online statement that Edcon made a mistake on.

In response to your enquiry with Edcon, please note that our records indicate that we need to update the last 3 digits of your ID number as it appears on our side as 005.

In order to update your ID number on our system, kindly provide us with your ID copy.

In the interim, you can use your ID number and replace the last 3 digits with 005.

You will need to have data or access to the internet in order to access your statement.

Kindly advise us if you are able to access your statement with your old ID number.

The system only block entry for 30 minutes, thereafter, you can try again.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon account closure

Good day

I have requested confirmation on numerous occasions as my account should be settled and closed. I made payment of R 3 575.58 on Friday 21 June.
As well as the debit order which was deducted from my account R 333 on 20 June.
I also contacted the call center and spoke to an agent but to date have not received any confirmation of my account being closed. This has taken a month and still no confirmation, this is just ridiculous pathetic customer service.

I would like to utmost disappointed at the Edgars Active Shop in King Williams Town Metlife Mall as one of the staff members showed me and my father that He is unprofessional and incompetent on his job.

Four months ago my father had filed a claim for his lost cellphone as he had taken an insurance for it. The phone that he wanted was not on stock by the time the claim was approved.The one staff member asked him to check at Jet if they don't have the phone there. He then went to Jet unfortunately they told him that they don't have stock also. He went back to Edgars Active to inform them that he didn't get the phone.Nothing was done after that.

On Saturay 13 July 2019 I went to Edgars Active with him as no one has bothered to check with him if he has finally got the phone. In fact the was no follow up at all.

We met with the guy that has helped him before and my father told him that he is still waiting for his phone and he came to check on them. The guy (your sales person/consultant) told my father that there is nothing he can do as they haven't received any stock since four months back. I then asked the guy why they are not giving my father any feedback as he is their client and the only option that he was given was to go check at Jet and that time he came back and informed them about unavailability of the phone. Your consultant told me that and I quote (That is not in my job description). My second question was why didn't they check on their system which shop have this phone. His reply was they don't have that system at the store. I asked then why don't you use the phone and check, he replied again I Quote " SISI Ayingomsebenzi wam lowo" (MEANING ITS NOT PART OF HIS JOB DESCRIPTION), he then said its the client duty to go around and look for the phone as he is the one that has lost his phone.

I then reminded him that it might be possible that the phone will no longer be available at your store or any store how come he cant convince the client about those possibilities as I assumed that he has been trained to deal with situation like these. His response is the one that mademe angry as he said "I have finished the sale and I'm not the one who has lost the phone"(those were his words).

I then asked for a manager he told me the manager was not in that day. Then I asked for his name. Its when one lady came in and asked us aside to talk to her as now the shop was on stand still.
We went out without a phone but the lady promised to come back to us the following Monday.To our surprise my father recieved a call 3 hours later we can come and collect the phone at JET King Willaims Town. Your Sales consultant didn't even apologies for the inconvenience he just instructed my father to go and collet. We has to drive to and from another 45 km as we are not staying in King Williams town

The name of your INCOMPETENT consultant is Kamva Tonise. I am not even sure if he has given me his right name as he didn't have a name tag that identifies him.

I AM BEYOND ANGRY.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon poor service at edgars galleria

I have contacted Edgar's Galleria on 13th July to speak to the Estee Lauder consultant but she was busy so the lady asked for my name and no. so the consultant could phone me back regarding the cosmetic promotion starring on 21sy July. I had no phone call from them.

I phoned the store again today, 14th July, I was firstly put on hold for 7 min so I phoned back to speak to a manager I was told by Xola the store manager and 2nd in charge was not in. I asked for a department manager she did not let me speak to one. I asked her about the cosmetic special she stated they do not know about it as no communication was sent to them. How can communication go out to customers when the staff themselves know nothing about it, this is just unethical.

All I wanted to know was which brands fall under the cosmetic sale and no one in the cosmetic department at Edgar's Galleria knows.

Extremely poor service.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon estee lauder

Had a very rude representative at the make up counter at carnivall mall (15h00). The lady did not look willing to assist me at all and had a bad attitude. Have spoken with the store manager but still think it's necessary for higher management to be informed, and for Estee Lauder to know the type of representatives they have there. It really leaves your brand with a poor outlook.

Edgars Fashion / Edcon manager donald

I am extremely upset about the way the Manager on duty named Donald was rude, arrogant & seemed to have a hangover or perhaps substance abusing. I bought buccaneer school shoes of which I paid R370 for on the 4th July 2019. My child was suppose to go back to school on Monday when it opened, but he only came back from Durban on Monday night so he actually attended school on Tuesday this week. I thought perhaps the school shoes needed to be walked in so I forced him to wear them on Wednesday. Unfortunately he showed me his blisters this morning so I kept him off school. Therefore he literally wore the shoes 2days from 8am-2pm. I'm a single mom & I really feel that the manager was rude an inconsiderate. I will provide my childs school details to confirm my sons attendance. I literally saved money to buy him these shoes as I am battling as is, therefore I believe Bucaneer twice a year is better than other namebrands that last a month which in terms lands up been an expense every month. Please can someone assist me with a refund.

More than 2 months ago i bought my husband 4 black golf shirts...and ordered at customer service an extra 2 shirts...as they did not have enough in store...the lady took my details and said it would be there in 3 weeks time...they will let me know...after 3 weeks i contacted them and the guy that answered said he was on holiday and there is nothing on system...so he put in a new order and he said it would take 2 weeks but he will let me know as soon as it arrives it has been more than 2 months...it is absolutely ridiculous that the first lady that was in the second mans place did not do her work and then the second man did not follow the order through...i spend alot of money at edgars and have always had reasonable service there... but this last incident goldfields edgars will not see me again...the service is disgraceful...they not helpful they lie...they promise to phn me .which they dont...i want u guys to enquire about the order and take action against those 2 employees as they did not do their work...u can just as well have noone behind the desk...i am totally disgusted at the service...
