eCycleBest.com provided a quote online for a nearly new Samsung Galaxy Note 4 cell phone of $240. The phone was flawless, never scratched, dropped or anything - barely used at all. They provided the label and shipment was quick. Email received that the phone was received and being inspected. A week and a half goes by and I receive an email that the inspection is complete and that my quote has been adjusted to $20. Holy Crap - twenty bucks from $240 - that's a HUGE DIFFERENCE. My strongly worded email to the company and refusal of the $20 quote went unanswered. I never received a follow up email or phone call from the company. I also never received the $20 they said my phone was worth, I provided them with a valid Paypal account.
Another week goes by and I email the company again. This time, I call them crooks and scam artists. I received a phone call the very next morning. Isn't that interesting how they respond to emails that threaten reporting to the BBB and Feds. The rude woman on the phone said that this was quote due to some wear on the back cover (really!?) and "pixelization" on the screen. I refused their claims and asked that my phone be returned to me immediately. She said they could not do that that the phone had been recycled the very next day after my initial quote was provided. Well, first of all, I replied to that quote where I did ask for the phone to be returned. I said why did no one at eCycleBest respond to that email and my request and refusal of the initial quote? She said that they did respond. I said, no you did not. I called them scam artists and that this is not acceptable. She then said that my Paypal account was refused - I said probably because paypal knows you all are crooks and won't accept electronic requests from you all. I asked that they send me a paper check - she said they can send me my original $20 quote and an additional $40 to make up for the relatively new phone I had recycled. Fast forward to today, I received 2 checks -- one for $20 and a second for $20. So much for the $40 they promised, again, CROOKS and SCAM ARTISTS - STAY AWAY!!!
I have sent them my laptop and they promised to pay me $150 for it.
When they received the laptop they contacted me and said that they made an inspection and that my laptop was completely broken and did not even turn on and said that they'll pay me $15!!!
Liars! It was not broken!
I told them to give it back and they said that everything they get is non returnable!
And they never even paid me those $15!
People, do not send them anything!!! eCycleBest is a total scam!
I wanted to sell my laptop to the company www.ecyclebest.com. They gave me high quote for the laptop and it was really good news. I wanted to send the laptop as soon as possible, but the company told me that they would transfer money within several weeks. It was fine and I really believed that it was legitimate. But it wasn’t. They received my laptop and I didn’t get money. Stay away from them.
Please do not send any electronics to this company. They are scam artist, I sent in two devices a MOTO X 2nd...
They offered me a great price and communicated well before they did not receive my device. After getting my ipad, nothing is fast or has good process or communication. I was offered $202 for an ipad. I called and emailed, but I was told to be patient until the check arrived. It was for $120. For many weeks, I had been trying to get my device back but that were useless efforts in-front of this scam company. I only got $120.
This company will quote you a great price. But once they receive your device, they will pay you up to 80%...
These websites are a trap. You send them your phone, and once they have it, you are not getting it back under any circumstances. They will pay you 35% of its actual worth. They don't return emails, and it takes long time to get to them...Just spend 5 minutes looking on the websites and you won't believe how these websites can do business...
STAY AWAY! They have the whole process set it up in a manner that will leave you with no choice, but to accept their crummy offer. They will email you a customer service number in case you want to reject it (no kidding!). You will be asked to call them within three days of receiving your offer (which you may, or may not receive at all). Ecyclebest lures you into thinking that you are getting an amazing deal, but the truth is that you are not. STAY AWAY! The service, offer and everything about ecyclebest is pretty misleading.
, I realized that I needed to let go of my phones because I did not need them anymore. I considered buyback programs, hoping that I could get cash just for getting rid of my old iPhones. I stumbled upon CashforiPhones and received the highest offer I could ever find. I filled out the shipping form and received a free shipping box via USPS the next day. Sadly, it took them almost a month to get back to me for my payment. Though the transaction was easy, it was not surely fast.
I wasn’t going to pick from my savings but I did want to take her, so I sold an old laptop to eCycle Best. I had it around as a spare, but I knew it would never really be used again. It was still in good condition, so when I got my quote on eCycleBest.com, I couldn't believe it. But I was stupid enough to still send my phone. I filled out everything that required text, gave my information and the condition of the laptop. I read up on the company and went over reviews, which I should’ve done at the beginning really. Though there were plenty of great eCycle Best reviews, there was also a fair amount of complaints about them. I was worried I’d given them my laptop for nothing, but in the end I got my cash in the mail. It took four weeks of worry, but it came.
All you have to do is get a quote on the main page of their website. I was helped by a company representative to facilitate a smooth transaction for all of our devices. Sadly, I had to call gazillion times for someone to help me. They even paid me with a lower payment. About 10% less than the quote! You have two options when receiving payment – PayPal or company check. My father said PayPal was faster, so we went with that. True to their word, eCycle Best sent the money immediately when they inspected our devices. Still, I was surprised my payment was lower!
If ever you have any old gadgets to get rid of, don't sell them to eCycle Best They’re very hard to deal with.
This company operates under the names Cash4laptops, Cash4iphones, Ecycle Best, and LDR LLC, Please do not trust this company, you will be Scammed! My son was quoted $230 for his Iphone5 S 32GB with a cracked screen, we sent the phone in, they recorded it and sent a message the phone had a bad ESN, then they said they we could call and have the ESN taken off or they would readjust the amount. That next day they sent me a email that they were sending $23 to my account. I immediately emailed them back and said absolutely not, that's rediculous, I want my phone sent back. The next day I got a response that they are not responding to emails and I would have to call. I called all the next day only to get a busy signal, the following day I was on hold for at least 5 minutes every time just to get told I had to be transferred to the purchasing department which you then wait on hold another 71/2 minutes to get hung up on, and that's if your lucky to even get them to answer the first time your on hold. Most days you can't even get threw the first person before it disconnects you. I finally got threw 4 days into it after hours of getting disconnected just to be told they had deposited $23 in my account and it was a fair offer and there is nothing I can do about it. They even pulled out a lie and said they called my previous cell phone company and they told them to recycle it. They are so full of crap, this place should be shut down, I hate that I didn't read reviews until after I was already taken advantage of. Please beware of these company names they are using.
The website http://www.cashforlaptops.com/ also known as www.ecyclesbest.com gave me an initial estimate of $160 for selling them my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 After having sent in the Tablet they sent me a payment of $12.00 for the device. The device had a broken screen. Retail price to repair would have been $100. The device sells for currently $175 refurbished. This is a bait and switch. They paid an unfair rate for the device. They have a disclaimer on the website, so I suppose it is not illegal, however, it is unethical.
Ecycle Best is a SCAM or BAIT-AND-SWITCH operation offering large amounts of money for used electronics. The firm offers a large amounts of money on their website (in my case $358 for a one year old Samsung Note 3). Upon sending the phone they acknowledge receipt of it by email, but do not mention what they will send you for your mobile device. Instead they return a check several weeks later for a significant amount less (in my case a $50 check). No agreement on the amount has taken place and you have no ability to have your phone returned. Only one of the company emails lists their phone number. The owner of the firm Dave Kruch, is listed on the correspondence as being in the Purchasing Department, and he doesn’t take phone calls. When one calls you can only speak to a customer service representative who provides every excuse in the book for the amount you have been sent. Car dealers are not allowed to advertise one price and switch it later with another, it should be illegal elsewhere, as well. Every site I visited afterwards, used the word SCAM in reference to this company.
