unable to reach the by phone
I tried to contact the mag by phone and all the numbers had no live person to talk to or reach. And the voice mails are always full so a message can't be left. When I went to the Ebony contact page, after filling in my contact info and writing a note to explain my problem, when I clicked on the 'send' button it would not send. I feel this mag is going under, no longer cares about their subscribers and are ripping some of us off. I just wanted to change my address but with no one handling business in a professional way, now II want out. Will be contacting my AMX to get my money back.
I was sent a magazine that I did not subscribe to.
Hello my name is angela today I received your april/may ebony issue with gabrielle union on the front this was a surprise to me because I never subscribe to ebony at anytime not through email or your website or snail mail... So I am a little annoyed of getting this magazine because if I am getting your magazine that means some how ebony was able to get my personal name and address and send their magazine to me and just expect me to pay for it without permission. Thats identity theft. I would like my name to be taken off of your subscriptions list. This is not ok. I have tried to call the customer service number but I can not seem to get in touch with anyone.
My email is [protected]@gmail.com please someone contact me because I do not want to be charged for something I did not pay for.
Angela.
magazine
I stopped receiving my subscription in late 2015/early 2016. (I've lost track because of some ongoing health problems.) I've contacted them by email several times to see what the problem was & to date, haven't received a response. What made me remember this now is seeing an email for their digital subscription, which I never signed up for. I'll never give them another dime of my money, won't recommend their magazine & look forward to hearing about them being in a class action lawsuit for their ways. Such a shame because Ebony Magazine used to be better than this. Thanks!

magazine subscription
I have subscribed to Ebony magazine for several years and noticed in 2016 delivery became very sporadic and eventually stopped completely in 2017.There seem to be no recourse to contact the company all listed numbers provide no reply.I am currently disputing auto charge billed to my card in 2017. Having seen several similar complaints I am hoping that the company will act in good faith and address this abysmal customer service.
I am having the same issue. The ONLY reply I can get is from digital print who has been unable to get someone in print to contact. Unacceptable. My last subscription was Kevin Hart in Fall 2016 but I am paid up until 2019
poor subscription service
Our Ebony subscription which is to go to January 2020 has not been sent to us since October/November 2016.

Still nothing from Ebony. No magazines we paid for, and no explanation what is going on with that magazine ripping the State off. This was a subscription to a state prison library.
I have not received my Ebony Magazine in 10 months. My subscription expires in July 2020. Your service is horrible. This is the third time that I have contacted you about your poor delivery service. Resume delivery service of my magazines or refund my money.

Why am I getting my Ebony magazines 2 months late? Example: I got the July 2016 issue in September. I just got the August 2016 issue in October. Can someone tell me what is going on?
I have not received my subscription for which I renewed in March 2017. The last magazine I received since July 2016. I was promised that I would receive these back issues and updated to current issues. What is going on? I hope this is not a scam! I would appreciate hearing from you.
We weren't promised anything. Once they quit sending us the magazines, we could get no response from them on what is going on. Just machines answer their phones and nobody calls back, and out postal letters and email goes unanswered. It couldn't be a scam, since we got these magazines for years in a timely manner. Then one day they decide to stop mailing and won't refund us. I warned a few potential subscribers not to subscribe, since this is how they treat their subscribers now.

I have not received my magazine in the mail since dec 2016. There is no one to contact, i have sent numerous emails, no one has reached out to me. There is no phone number for ebony. What in the world is going on. I have requested a refund on numerous occasions, please someone contact me. This is not professional at all. A loyal ebony subscriber for over 30 years.

ebony magazine
My subscription expires September 2018. The last issue I received in January 2017 was dated September 2016. I am unable to contact anyone because all the published telephone numbers are out-of-service, even the one with the Better Business Bureau of Chicago. The excuses given the last time I was able to make contact was problems with the vendor responsible for delivering the magazine by mail and the absence of additional copies of any issue to send forward as replacement. That excuse has worn thin and no longer holds weight at any level.
Why am I and other subscribers being cheated? Deliver the magazine on time, including all missing issues or refund the price of the subscription.

STOP SENDING ME MAGAZINES THAT I HAVE NOT SUBSCRIBED FOR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have been receiving Ebony magazines for the last two years almost and I haven't even subscribed for no Ebony magazines! I would like for this to stop immediately because I have stacks of magazines in my closet that I don't even need! Please look into this as soon as possible and put a stop to this! If any personal information is needed as far as my name, or my address please feel free to e-mail me at a.[protected]@yahoo.com

You must be getting MY magazines! I haven't gotten any since Nov 2016 and I get no help from filling out the online customer service information. I can't find a phone number that works.
I should have you change your address to my house. I ordered Ebony last November 2015 and filed several complaints with no response. I didn't receive a Jan magazine until March of this year. I finally received February magazine twice. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. Someone needs to fire everyone on staff and hire some quality employees who give a ###. I don't know why anyone would waste their time with an organization with so little concern about their paying customers. Time to contact the attorney generals office and what ever other agency will listen to me.
I just started getting their magazines as well! I didn't subscribe either! I'm not sure how to stop it!
UNSOLICITED SUBSCRIPTION
This is the second magazine I have received without subscribing to it. I am caucasion, why would I want Ebony magazine. Don't even know how they got my name and unable to reach a person @ m2magazine!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I'm a recovering addict, I don't drink wine, I don't even like the taste of wine, I've never liked wine! Why would I want a magazine about something I 1)can't drink, 2)don't like, 3)never drank after the first sip? How many more magazines are you sending out to people who don't want them? Wine Spectator is not a magazine that even interests me. If I want a magazine I'll order it. Next letter is to the Attorney General in Ohio. Maybe you can tell them why this is happening.
Won't stop sending magazine
I called Ebony Magazine to cancel the subscription, which was never answered and was told I had to contact M2Magazines by email. This is the second magazine they have sent to me which was unsolicited. Please make them STOP!

On the evening of Feb. 6, 2009 a salesman showed up at the front porch of my residence, explaining to me the he was a sales agent representing yoli & associates, inc. By purchasing a subscription from him in the amount of $43.00 would help him gain points to earn money towards a scholarship to apply at any college he wanted. I took the time to listen to his sales pitch and finally gave in. Honestly, I am a hard working mother recieving just a lil' over minimum wage for the state of louisiana. Truthfully I really could not afford to buy this subscription, but i thought about how important education is and the long to term success one could of had if I had of stayed in school. Unfortunantly here i am at the computer 2 months later writing this complaint after I tried calling the number left on top of the reciept. which reads exactly in little red writing: 613 Franklin Street, Michigan City, In. 46360, Phone: [protected] Fax: [protected]

I fell for it too---I put a stop payment on the check---hopefully they didn't cash it yet--these people are unbelieveable----total scam!
Ripped off!
December 2007 I received a bill of $12.00 subscription for an order of Ebony Magazine. On January 2008 I then received a Magazine from Ebony. In the bill it doesn't have a telephone number to call or an address to write too. I never ordered that magazine I don't need to order them because I don't read magazine or order any type of magazines. I knew right away it's a scam because there is no number to call or address. The bill didn't look right. I can't even return the magazine because there is no address. So the scammers could sit and wait for my $12.00 but their not getting nothing from me.
I'm going to file a complaint to the Attorney General's Office so they could look into this scam.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
My son in-law paid $10.00 by money order for a one year magazine subscription in February of 2017. I have not received one issue and all attempts to reach Ebony have failed.
It has now been 4 months and all phone numbers listed to Ebony Magazine seem to no longer be in service. My letters to them have also gone unanswered.
I paid for a subscription in February 2017. It's now August 2017 and I have not received an issue yet. I do not want a refund, I just want my magazines.
I have not received a magazine since Fall 2016 but paid up until 2019. I would like to be contacted. My email is sdwilkins524@comcast.net
I have not received a magazine since December 2016 and my subscription ends in 2019. I want a refund for my remaining issues. My email contact is dgdicks@ Verizon.net
Had a bill come in the mail for a subscription to Ebony magazine and that i owed them $15.00 and they actually sent me the magazine. So I called [protected] and they were very polite and have had a million calls concerning this rip off.
I too received an unsolictied copy and a bill. However, I did the following:
Went to the ebonyjet.com web site and its contacts page. Right there on the page was a phone number for subscriptions. That number, by the way, is [protected]. I called it and spoke to a very pleasant, polite call center agent, Deborah (could be spelled many ways, I didn't ask). She located my "subscription" and told me that it was now cancelled and that I should ignore the bill and that I owe nothing. That is of course perfectly as it should be, I don't think I ordered it, I don't want it and I am not planning to pay for it.
It seems pretty straightforward to get off the list - but I agree with the poster - we should never be in this position. Kind of reminiscent of the book club scams of yesteryear. I do plan to send my copy back to the publishers because I don't want it, and don't want the accusation that I "stole" it to be leveled against me.
Interestingly, I think Yahoo must have been the source for the magazine - because I used my middle name when signing up for Yahoo mail (and that is the only site that I used my middle name/last name combination + home address). So I will be asking Yahoo if they have some kind of relationship. I have done this kind of tracing for years - different combinations of first/last names for things I sign up for, and then see which connections are made. Yes, I probably do have too much time on my hands!
Anyhow, good luck on getting your subscription canceled too.
I called that number 7/14/17 and a machine told me it is not in service. They owe my library magazines since ending their mailing them to us in October /November 2016. We are subscribed for this magazine to January 2020.
