eBay no seller protection

Hello im using Ebay many Years. Everyday i can see more and more lack of competence, understanding or training in your side forward to the sellers. Recently you removed my Dr dre headphones listing because someone realised that he don't one them, and just open case for me, of course you like respectful name just closed my listing without asking any proves or any details, just so easy without proper explanation you can close seller's listing? Why is so unclear policy provided to the seller, are you protecting only buyers? Let's see other listings on the ebay for example:.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/DR-DRE-BEATS-STUDIO-STYLE-IN-WHITE-BRAND-NEW-THE-BEST-HEADSET-YOU-WILL-EVER-BUY-/180968339241?pt=UK_AudioVisualElectronics_HomeAudioHiFi_Headphones&hash=item2a228db729#ht_770wt_1271

Its only few listings of headphones/earphones. So are they genuine? If yes, so how do you know about that(it doest say nothing on the description) let's see maybe you're presume?, if no so why these listings still live? Why someone can list and sell hundreds on your site and you didn't chase them? If i buy them and simple i change my mind and want my money back, start complaining about them, would you close these listings? Why simple person who's got present few pairs of headphones so ignored? Who's is responsible in such of reputable company for not fear policy, or you just protect these people who brought you lots of money? I honestly dont expect nothing from you as your company already known as poor customers quality providers, customers can't be protected on your site, even if you declaring that very loud, when problems arise you just simple hiding or finding difficult with less motivated answer. but please please once again get more training provide proper policy for both sides buyers and sellers, provide best quality and solution as possible. Why it's so difficult?
Sincerely Yours

eBay ebay will attack your family if you have a dispute with them

There seems to be nothing sacred at ebay.com.
Ebay is attacking my mother due to a long-term dispute that I have had with them.

Two years ago I was forced to shut down my ebay store of 10 years and my ebay account with a great reputation and positive feedback of over 1500 going back to 1997. Ebay sided with a buyer in an item-not-received claim against me for money the man had never paid me to begin with. I was coerced and threatened to ship the man the product anyhow, without payment. I have never been paid for the item and had to threaten the man with police action if he did not return it to me.

I reported the man through ebay's dispute system for non-payment. The man got anUnpaid-Item-Strike. He retaliated against me with negative feedback that ebay removed on the grounds that the man had never paid. Then the man retaliated against me again by filing an item-not-received claim. I responded that the man had not paid for the item, but that if he did I would be happy to send him the product.

Bizarrely ebay found in his favor even though he still had not paid me for the item. Ebay sent me a notice telling me that they would debit my bank account on file with them for the full cost of the invoice that the man had never paid.

As a result of this experience I abandoned my ebay store and fled to another website. I changed my bank information to prevent ebay from charging me. I appealed the decision with ebay and was told I would receive a response in approximately 48 hours but in any event no more than 72 hours max. I waited 2 1/2 months for ebay to respond and help me. They apologized for messing up so badly and took responsibility for the mistake and complete lack of customer service. Their "Resolution Department" called me on christmas eve. Yet in that phone call they also demanded that I pay them for ebay store fees from the time the error occurred causing me to abandon the account up until the account was administratively closed and they called me to apologize. It was like something out of twilight zone. I voided my contract with ebay and refused to accept this defective service, as per my consumer rights in the state of California.

The ebay representative I spoke with invited me to come back and use the ebay site again, stating that they were sorry to loose me over this after being such a good customer for so long. I told them I was uncomfortable using my old account again and that they did not do enough to fix the problem, that I should not have to pay them ebay store fees for a store I cannot use because it is insecure and left open to fraud because of ebay's lack of oversight and service, and that I did not have time to waste on the problems of their website design.

An ebay representative suggested that in the future I can still sell on ebay by giving my property to another person to post online for me on their account, such as a selling assistant on consignment, a friend or family member.

I recently gave my mother some of my old things I did not want in preparation of moving so that she could sell them on her ebay account. I gave her the photos and some of the item details that she could copy & paste, as she does not know the details of all the collectibles, and gave her the property to post. My mother rightfully stated in the descriptions that she was selling some of her children's things so people knew she was not expert about it and to ask any more details. Ebay saw this and used it against my mother in an effort to get to me.

Yesterday my mother received a notice from ebay restricting her account and telling her not to sell or ship anything else on their website. The notice specifically instructed her to take action on my old account that was closed 2 years ago and included my old ebay name, saying that she had to do something about it. The people at ebay are demanding that my mother pay for my bill with ebay that is in dispute and take action on account that does not belong to her.

Ebay is violating consumer protection law by billing me for services I have a right to reject because they are not as described and are defective. It is called Right of Rejection. A consumer can void a service contract if the other party does not perform according to their promises and advertisement.
Ebay is violating consumer law by attaching a third party "debt" to a person who is not responsible for it by mere relation or association.
I am an adult. My mother is a widow. There is absolutely no legal way that ebay can attach my old account to hers or to ask her to take any action whatsoever on my dispute with them.

My mother has her own ebay account at her own home with her own name, social security and ID info, and her own bank accounts attached to her ebay account. My name and bank and ID info is not on my mother's account. We are two separate people.

What ebay is doing is WRONG. They were wrong what they did to me 2 years ago, and instead of fixing the problem they are now extorting money from my mother for doing something their own customer service reps recommended to me as an alternative to fixing my old account because I was uncomfortable..

Ebay acts like it is some kind of authority figure. It is not. Ebay is nothing more than a greedy corporation who will stop at nothing to inflate its bottom line. The company is so big and they write this arbitration stuff into their policy agreement to put themselves above the law. If you try to inform them they are violating consumer protection laws, they tell you have a "bad attitude" (quoted from letter I got from president of ebay's own office)

Ebay, mark my words: SOMEDAY THIS WILL CATCH UP TO YOU AND BITE YOU. People will not stand for this mafia behavior.

eBay guarantee fraud

I placed order for a Dell Mini laptop on 26-6-12 with parfumcorner and received the product on Jul 01, 2012. On my attempt to register the product on Dell website, it was found that the product was sold in 2010 and its warranty was over in January 2012. It was also found that the battery supplied was one of 3-cell and not a 6-cell one. Hence the charge stays only for 3 hours and not more than 7 hours as described in the eaby website. Moreover I didn't receive the bill of the product. I contacted the seller regarding all these and he responded to do good within a short time. But after 2 weeks gone by when I did not receive any output, I decided to raise a claim under ebay Guarantee on [protected] and on 17-7-12 I was confirmed my claim ID. I was made to understand that my claim will be entertained within 7 days. But after one month gone by when I did not receive any response from ebay I contacted the customer support on [protected] and then on 17-8-12 one Mr. Mukesh called me up and said that as because the product was lying with me for over 1 month, my claim cannot be entertained. Moreover, he closed the case with a note that the issue has been resolved by the buyer with a mutual understanding with the seller, which is an absolute lie. If this be the customer relation of ebay, I am sorry to say that its repute will soon be at stake. Even the local grocery shop owners are more genuine than this online selling giant.

I report my grievances in nutshell here as follows:

1) no bill of purchase as yet received. This is very vital for warranty. I have also come to know from DELL website that the product was sold to you in UK during 2010 and its warranty is over in 2012.

2) the battery provided with the product is a 3-cell battery and not a 6-cell one. The battery life as claimed (more than 7 hrs. )is far from reality -- it only lasts maximum up to 3 hrs.

3) the adapter plug does not fit into the socket

With regards,

Sanjib Mukhopadhyay

eBay listings removed for being fake

I have recently had over 100 listings removed for being fake, I was selling Olympic pens, keyrings, soft toys, stick on mascots and more all the items were Official items that I bought from a high street retailer I looked at similar listings and noticed no sellers were really attracting much attention, so I risked starting the items at 1p with free postage and it worked a treat within hours of listing these items I had 10, 15 up to 30 watchers per item and then the bids came rolling in up to 40 bids minimum of say 15 bids per item I checked on goofbay and i was in the most popular listings for "London 2012 Olympics" 18 out of 20 were my listings, I sold and sent 10 packages and got great feedback then as 80 listings were about to end just before the Olympic closing ceremony disaster! Ebay removed all listings and previous sales the reason at first was unclear The following listing(s) have been removed because of concerns with your account after various live chats emails I found out someone reported the items as counterfeit my sales had hit £600 then all wiped out I have told ebay I have receipts but its like talking to Aliens, after getting little response by Customer support I have decided to threaten Ebay with Legal action in small claims court ebay sent out around 1000 emails to buyers suggesting they claim refunds from the "Loss prevention department" now I am stuck with literally 100s of Olympic items and unable to relist or risk being suspended not only this I would imagine my reputation is now shot to pieces I have given them 14 days to respond in a proper manner that makes just a little bit of sense and have asked to be compensated, been through the small claims before and if you think you have a case it's great more importantly it costs hardly nothing to get there as long as all procedures are followed...Any comments or helpful Suggestions? Thank you

I purchased 3 gemstones from one ebay seller gemvillage. This was a fraudulent sale first because the seller doctored the picture of a yellow stone, coloring it green and calling it Demantoid (a rare (green) gem inducing a higher price/bid) and second because ebay requires that a seller state where the item is located and shipped from and the ebay bidding screen on all three gems said Thailand. Thailand has a well known gem trade, where many trained gemologists work from. Again, inducing trust and a higher price/bid this seller said the item location was Thailand and charged me $8.00 for shipping from there. The package came from California with a postage stamp of $1.98. Upon reporting this to ebay, of course like everyone else receives, the response was a canned form e-mail. PayPal's (PayPal is owned by ebay)response to my claim was that they would collect the refund of the gems to me, the cost of shipping to me would not be included and that I would have to return the gems by mail with tracking, (take a loss in the cost of shipping to me) and further that I must pay to ship these items back to THAILAND (not California where they really came from) a total loss to me of $23.00. Paypal's representative and then a requested supervisor stated to me that they don't or can't request the shipping be returned to me which is a lie because they have done this before when I have received fake gemstones. I also called and spoke with customer service at e-bay and went through the live chat trying to speak with someone from security. I left messages with customer service for security and voicemail requesting someone from security call me back. I have not received response, however, customer service did tell me it is not within their power to do anything about this or tell me what the punishment would be to the seller if any took place. The seller is still online selling so I would say it is not much of a punishment that would ever sway a seller from continuing to defraud buyers. Ebay's and PayPal's lack of concern, refusal to call me back, refusal to make the fraudulent seller take the loss rather than me, the buyer, continuing to let the seller sell items make it clear that their main concern is making money from these sales and they are willing to overlook the fraud which continuously grows on ebay. This should be considered fraud in itself. Not once did anyone ask to see the envelope or gems or accept my offer to scan and forward pictures of the envelope and gems to them. I have limited ability to test these gems. I can test the stones with a refractometer which shows the so called Demantoid not to be Demantoid at all and I can test the two so called Paraiba Tourmalines with the refractometer which shows them both to be tourmaline, however, Paraiba Tourmaline is different and requires a highly technical machine to see if the stones contain cooper and/or manganese which is what makes them paraiba. Paraiba tourmaline glows in neon colors. One of these stones appears to be Paraiba tourmaline, the other stone does not appear to be Paraiba tourmaline at all. So many buyers buy gems, trusting at the word of these ebay sellers and have no way of testing the stones. How many people are these fraudulent sellers and ebay ripping off unbeknownst to buyers. Of course ebay and paypal should be holding sellers to the highest of honesty and integrity and if they are not honest, they should not be allowed to continue to sell. The total sell was not that much this time, $178.00 plus the shipping of $15.00 to ship to Thailand but this is not the first time this has happened in my gem collecting. This is just the last time I will allow ebay to get away with it. To flagrant.(sp) especially now that they own PayPal. The only thing I can do about this is cancel my account with e-bay which I have done and report them to consumer affairs which I have done in hopes that something can be done to stop the losses to ebay and paypal customers. I hate unethical crooks the continually get richer and richer at the expense of others. There has to be a better way to handle them, and put a stop to it than just to complain like this.

Does anyone who has an account with ebay remember getting an email from ebay regarding the huge lawsuit against them in France. They said they were just writing to assure us that they take fraud quite seriously and spend billions of dollars protecting us. Can one person here attest to actually having a live conversation with ebay security or getting satisfaction from the fraud department. I fully expect ebay to send one of their cronies out here to make something up, so the rest of you who feel totally violated, please leave your response as well.

I have finally, after many attempts managed to sell an item on ebay. I have encounters too many hackers, phishers and dodgy emails from Nigeria, Poland and the US. Then there are the ones who bid and dont pay. Wouldn't it be nice if ebay could flush out these rogues so we could buy and sell without worry.

There are endless gem scammers on eBay, most of them listed as residing in Thailand. Hell, it isn't called "Thai gem scam" for nothing.
I am a certified gemmologist living in Sri Lanka - and going through endless stones every day, I'm not easily fooled. But many unsuspecting people are, daily.
On the other hand, if it looks too good to be true - it very probably is. It's one thing when a trusted friends sells you a stone at his cost price because he wants to help you out (and you help him in return), quite another when an overly-euphoric scammer offers you an "EXQUISITE GENUINE 3.6 CARAT KASHMIR SAPPHIRE!" for a ridiculously low amount online.
Know the subject, don't get greedy, and you'll be well protected.

There is some great news regarding auction item fraud- a nationwide company with over 1, 500 agents launches February First. They will go, in person, to verify an auction item for you to make sure it is legitimate and they will even take the item to UPS or Fed Ex to ship it to you! The company is called Wegolook.com and here is a general description of them:

WeGoLook is an online service that provides visual confirmation and a personalized report, completed by a real person, to verify a prodcut, person, place or thing. WeGoLook customers will be better informed, avoid costly surprises, plus benefit from unbiased confirmation without having to travel.

It might be helpful to you and others to utilize their services before getting scammed- especially high-end auction items.

eBay fraud by ebay

I’d purchased item no.[protected]= ainol novo 7inch mars hd display android 4.0 4.0.3 tablet cortex a9 1gb ram 8gb ([protected]) on 21 July 7 made the payment immediately by Icici bank debit card (Paisa pay id [protected]).

The shipping details airway bill no.[protected] were send to me same day but nothing was & is delivered till today.

My daughter’s birthday was on 30th July. I kept enquiring the courier dtdc ms sarita daily on mobile since 24th July on her no. [protected] but she always answered that no such shipment has arrived till 30th July (Probably some cyclone in Hong Kong…) also the given link of tracking in eBay email of shipment details always failed.

Fearing the delay i tried to contact the seller on mobile [protected] which always went unanswered so i sent email request on 27th july to the seller ‘jain exims’ at [protected]@gmail.com requesting for timely delivery before her birthday but no response given even till date.

Feeling cheated & humiliated i also emailed to eBay but again no response.

On 29th July (Deadline of delivery of item) in reply to automatically generated email from eBay i asked for refund for not delivery of item.
Again no proper response.

Then on 3rd august my email showed new email that your refund has been put on hold due to some proof submitted from seller but again no further details nor any response from eBay

I tried contacting eBay through email but no result no response.

Then on phone on 6 august again i was ensured to resolve matter in 24-48 hours by 3 party conference call but nothing such happened till date. I received a call from eBay on 7th again confirming details & again no response since then

They keep your phone waiting on hold for 25-30 minutes, then next 10 minutes to repeat & then confirm your & transaction details & finally leave you with professional advice - Mr x will contact & resolve your matter in 24 - 48 hours. Which never happens

On chat they will end the session abruptly or without any response
On email; don't even expect a blank response other than the computer system generated ones.

That's my experience in last 15 days for fees of rs. 6000/=

I have purchased Marpac Pillow Speakers Relaxation item from seller i2cworld_inc3 from ebay.in trusting the ebay guarantee, the day I received it was no good as described, normally we cant hear, in pillow it is impossible to hear, I wrote to seller about problem, that your product is useless, he replied that he is not responsible for anything, he only ordered from USA and send to us in India, he is not responsible for any problem/thing relating to product,
I raised the claim to ebay, but they do not respond since two months I continuously emails and phoned them, they only replied that you case is in under process, at last I was tired and suddenly they closed my claim, I asked why did you do that, the lady replied that you have not contacted us since week so we closed, Guarantee means nothing to them, they knows that one day you will get tired and leave the follow up and they will close it, as they did with me.
FAKE GUARANTEE,
TILL TODAY I HAVE KEPT THE PRODUCT IN BOX WAITING FOR EBAY REPLY. AND SUDDENLY I GOT REPLY YOUR CLAIM IS CLOSED, i asked reason, they denied, i ask atleast give me in writing that you have closed without informing me, they are not ready to give any reply in writing and also not worried about complaints.. only sorry. take it and forget every thing. the sameless firm i have ever seen in life, if they are genuine wy not any higher authority call us and ask us about, only left on low salaried staff who not even know what to reply

eBay ebay allows buyer to rip off sellers

Ebay only sides with the buyer I had one person receive headphones in brand new condition (he sent back positive feedback) use them 2 weeks twist the ear piece the wrong way and break them, then return the broken item wanting a full refund Ebay demanded I send the person back their money so I was stuck with broken headphones and no money.

I also had a person keep a set of headphones 3 weeks after posting positive feedback about that the headphones stating they were great, then have buyer remorse and said the item was not as described and wanted to return. Ebay allowed them to return the headphones however I received an empty box no headphones; notified Ebay and the local police. Ebay returned the persons money back to them so the guy kept his headphones and got his money back.

When you call Ebay they act like they will help you, they make you stay on the phone for over an hour then tell you they will send their decision in an email.

I strongly agree. No support for sellers from ebay or paypal. Buyer left pos. feedback after having item almost 3 weeks. then 2 days later said it was broke. After all was documented and I did a refund. I have not recieved my item back. I have been on ebay for over 10 years with no problems, I thought it would not be good to let it esculate, they say try to settle it between buyers and sellers. So we did, no one said to let is escalate when I called them. I issued a refund with the agreement she would send the items back. Well I feel so stupid, because I will not see my item. When I talked with ebay and paypal they said there was nothing they could do, even though everything is documented right there. I lost my item and $324.00 . I am looking for another site.

I could not agree more. I actually called Ebay and they advised me to escalate the case. I did so and they ended up siding with the buyer. A buyer who had a cell phone for 5 days and eventually claimed that the power button was broken.

I am a first time seller, I have bought tons of stuff off eBay, but I sold a watch, Rolex, for $1625.00, plus shipping. I sent an invoice, the buyer replied back, after sending the Invoice, she asked if I would please ship to her cousin, it is for him, for an extra $100.00, I said sure, well when I got the FAKE Pay Pal, it confirmed my money was there, to send my shipping tracking number, I sent the package, and now I am ### out of luck. They said it was a fake, but you cant tell a fake from the real, they claim there web site is secure, its not. The post office said they doubt I get my watch back, even thou it is insured, and the women, who was suppose to be from North Carolina, had me send it to Nigeria. I am out of my money and now, I am out of my watch too, plus money on trying to ship and trying to stop it. How is it, they are not responsible, i was selling the watch to pay for my dads funeral, and my child's funeral. I hope Dalinda Johnson, whoever she really is, rotts for this. How unfair.

This Dalinda Johnson just won a bid on my 2005 Porsche Cayenne on ebay. I am so glad I decided to google this name. The email she sent seemed fishy because she insisted on using paypal and said that she was buying the truck for her dad. Just did not seem authentic. SO glad reported it as a fraudulent account. Thanks!

eBay seller abuse

I have sold on EBAY for 8+ years and have good success with very good feedback as I offer great customer service to my buyers. All of a sudden my power seller status top seller status has been cancelled and ebay is now holding my funds for 21 days because of their Dashboard. I have excellent in all but item not described this quarter and have no recourse to explain my side of what is wrong. One buyer purchase a printer and bought the wrong ink at a store which caused his printer not to work properly. He filed an item not as described, then the next day sent an email saying printer was good, store sold wrong ink. Ebay has no place to explain that I should not have had that rating. ALL FOR THE BUYER ===SELLER HAS NO RECOURSE ON 99+% of what happens.

I also have been selling on Ebay for 8+ years with power seller and top rated seller statis and all of a sudden those were removed because of dashboard status on items not as described. Several of these buyers did not know how to install new printers or purchased wrong ink and later emailed to say everything was working fine. That does not help me the seller as we have no place to show that there was not a problem to begin except end user error. How fair is that ! My opinion is Ebay is trying to get rid of all but the BIG sellers GOOD LUCK!

eBay ebay bait and switch by seller online

Just before Christmas I was trying to order a new Wii game for my grandson. An Ebay advertiser; “funtastic”, offered the Wii plus 91 games and I ordered the product. I quickly received an email from funtastic saying “opps” the listing was wrong [which, if it was 'wrong' should have been and could have been easily pulled off the site] and they did not actually have the 91 games but did I want the Wii anyway. I said no and was finally able to cancel the transaction. Then I received a ‘warranty’ insurance for the Wii which I did not order and immediately deleted. I was subsequently charged nonetheless so ‘funtastic’ had to have been part of that since only they had access to the credit card number.

I have only now, January 16, 2012, been credited back for the fraudulent charge for insurance on a Wii I did not buy. This seller; funtastic, appears clearly to be a ‘bait and switch’ operation which also illegally accessed my credit card. In my opinion Ebay should not allow this seller; funtastic, on the Ebay site.

eBay ebay does nothing to help sellers

Ebay has done nothing to help sellers in the cases of non-paying non-serious bidding. I have had more auctions run-up by non-serious bidders in the last month and at the most you have to wait 8 days to possibly get your auction fees back and you can not leave any negative feedback for non-paying bidders! I can't believe this! I use buyer restriction requirements, but I have some knucklehead in PA that started using his families accounts to run-up bids. If you have any bids from
Pablo Garcia 6943 Weiss Rd Apt 1 New Tripoli PA [protected] or Paul Henry 6943 Weiss Rd Apt 1 New Tripoli PA [protected] at the same address, it is a fraud! Please someone do something about this. Send mail to this address and get it stopped! Thank you.

eBay &Authentic& Chanel jewelry is ALL FAKE!!!

This Ebay Top-rated seller is really a counterfeit operation! I bought several pairs of "Authentic" Chanel earrings and a necklace from this seller at a ridiculously inflated price thinking they were authentic. The jewelry arrived in Chanel boxes with no description sticker and the authenticity seal on two pairs of earrings was either missing or had fallen off in the box. I did some research and found the same items on ioffer and the same boxes without the sticker. They are obviously selling fakes and getting away with it.

I contacted them about the problem and they sent me several threatening responses. After weeks of back and forth, they finally agreed to refund my money if I left them positive feedback and swore to not "spread lies" about the items being fake. I reluctantly did this b/c I wanted my money back. This was before Ebay had seller protection. They gave me a partial refund stating that I sent back broken merchandise. WHAT A SCAM! Buyers beware! These items are not authentic. I worked in a Chanel boutique for years and can spot a fake (even a good fake, in this case) from a mile away!

This is Frenchmaison. We do not know who this "DesignerDiva" who hid behind a fake ID to spread malicious, false, and outrageous claims and lies about us. We did a search and couldn't find this person's ID in our transaction history. We ABSOLUTELY GUARANTEE that all CHANEL items we offer are 100% AUTHENTIC CHANEL which were purchased at CHANEL boutiques. We have been eBay Top Seller for over 8 years selling ONLY AUTHENTIC designer items including CHANEL and Louis Vuitton. We've sold at least 50 AUTHENTIC Louis Vuitton items and many more AUTHENTIC CHANEL items over this period and everyone has been happy. And they've been all POSITIVE FEEDBACKS (the AUTHENTIC CHANEL listings are "private" listings to protect the privacies of our customers and the listing info does not show when fb is left but one can see that we have had hundreds of them throughout the years)

We'll explore all legal options to sue this person for libel, slander, defamation, intentional interference with a prospective economic advantage, etc. And we'd be happy to go to court to prove our innocence and to protect our reputation.

eBay ebay protection plan

I purchased a handbag off of ebay that was listed as used in good condition with normal wear. The bag arrived and looked fine so I posted positive feedback. But once I started using the bag I discovered that the lining of the bag was rotting and leaving a sticky gooey mess on anything put in the bag. I contacted the seller to find out how to return the bag, since it was outside his normal return policy period. No reply. So I filed a complaint with the resolution center. They found in favor of the seller. Why? 1) I left positive feedback for the seller; 2) My complaint was filed 30 days after the sale of the bag; 3) In my feedback I used specific language that the center said would not allow me to appeal. Lessons here? 1) Don't leave feedback for at least 30 days or long after you have used the item. 2) Start using the item right away, even if you don't need to. Contact the seller if there is the slightest thing wrong. In my case I should have told the seller that the bag smelled like someone had drenched the bag in perfume. Instead, I thought that I could solve the problem by airing it out or deodorizing it. Delaying use of the bag put me outside of the time frame that ebay considers normal to file a complaint. Trying to resolve the problem with the seller in this case delayed my filing. I have always had success trying to work things out with sellers in the past. This seller turned out to be trouble. 3) Don't ever, ever comment on the condition of something, even if you think that it is good. Turn the guideline, "If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all" into "If you have to say something nice, find something else to say, but say nothing, absolutely nothing about the condition of the item." So what's my next step now that the resolution center found in favor of the seller and my appeal was denied? Well, contact the senior executives at ebay, of course. They need to revise the written guidelines in resolution center at the very least. And, I am pursuing other methods to get my money back.

eBay ebay india guarantee scam

Wanted to share my horrific experience with ebay india, to caution other online customers.

1) Purchased Blackbery device from Seller=mobmantra1 - PaisaPay ID [protected] on 23Feb2012
2) Exchanged emails with seller, who confirmed on email tht the device is genuine and new in original blackberry packing
3) Received product after a week, th eproduct was not what the seller had promised to ship.
4) Under the ebay.in guarantee, I raised claim # 81605 on 09Mar2012.
5) No action from ebay.in for 2 weeks. I then called up customer support - they said they will escalate this to their claim department.
6) The seller called in the meantime and agreed that I should send the product back to him and he would instruct ebay.in to refund my money.
7) Deafening silence from ebay.in. Abruptly the status of the Claim is changed to Closed stating that the buyer has
asked to close the claim - blatantly false. On calling ebay customer support I learn that the status change has been
done by Nilesh Tambe.I call ebay cutomer support on 24March and I also drop ebay india an email - no response
8) I call up ebay customer support again on 04Apr2012, they patch me up to Ravindra Pandey. This gentleman looks at the system and keeps repeating that the buyer has asked to close the claim. I refute this. Then Ravindra says possibly someone else answered my mobile when Nilesh Tambe called and gave consent - this is rubbish, I always answer my own mobile calls.I tell him that I am not satisfied with the redressal and want to escalate to the head of ebay India - he refuses to give me the details and instead asks me to drop another email to which ebay india would respond to .He also says that they will retrieve the call details that Nilesh Tambe purportedly made to me and verfify.
9) There has been no response to my emails.

This is a blatant scam from ebay india - they make rosy claims on their website about safeguarding buyers under the guarantee. They just rip off people. There is zilch accountability. They just take customers for granted and take people for a ride. I hope the govt agencies do something to penalise ebay india to stop such blatant misuse of the ecommerce platform

in India. It is ironic that ebay india claims to be an evangelist of ecommerce in India - they actually practice just the opposite - this does not bode well for the Indian ecommerce space. I hope established palyers like Amazon commence direct busness in India soon and wipe out the fradulent companies. I make online purchases on Flipkart, letsbuy and have had no issues with them.

Thanks / Sundara Iyer

eBay item was not as described in the ad

i bought a anime figure (like a action figure only not movable) from a store called: modelkitsonline i thought it was already together
and when i found out it wasn't i still bought it thinking what the hell ill give it a try. the figure came fast and in a brown packing box no instruction on how to put it together or even what you would need to do so. it did come with a couple of pics of how the figure would look when you had it completed. but the figure was missing some of its parts so i contacted modelkitsonline and told him about the missing parts and he ask for proof so i sent the pics that came with the figure and circled the parts that where missing/broke. and the biggest part that was missing was the figures stand witch is a big part of why i bought the figure in the first place even though the pics clearly shows the figure with the stand (and no where in his ad dose it say that the figure dose not come with a stand) he tells me otherwise! oh and the ad says the figure is 1/8 but no the figure is very small i have 1/8 figures and this figure is not 1/8! he also says in the ad that he will give a full refund if unsatisfied. this ### gives me the run around for months! ... so he took my money about 50 bucks and i got a piece of ### figure that will never be put together. it will rot in its box because i don't have half the parts to it! DONT BUY FROM THIS ### UNLESS YOU WANT JUNK... to tell the truth i hope his store gets shutdown!...

This guy morphine is a scam artist himself. look at all of his complaints, he is some ridiculous loner that sits on his couch and does nothing better then looks outside and complaints that he wanted rain today and its sunny out. he sells stuff on ebay and sends out broken/damaged items and when customers complain about it, he pretty much tells them to get lost. he goes to outside and things the whole world and everyone in it is just for his pleasures. if something isnt going how he imagined it, he complaints. you are one of those guys that should sit home and never go outside, what if it rains when you are out and gets you wet. then your poor neighbor is probably going to hear you complain that it was his fault. food doesnt taste right to him, he complains. get your $h1t together an enjoy life rather then complain about everything. what a looser, so many people that he complains about it dont even know what he is talking about. this guy is some old dooshbag that messes everything up and complains about wrong people and businesses. hopefully someday somone will prosecute your [censor] for all the lies here.

Complaints board should really look into this [censor] and get him kicked out for posting so much lies here.

eBay this is the worst site in the history of the internet

This is the worst site in the history of the internet. I have been dealing with fraud for more than 2 weeks on an item I have been trying to sell. Ebay is now trying to not only charge me for selling an item I never sold twice because they removed a member that purchased my item.

While I appreciate the fact that these individuals were frauds, I do not appreciate the fact that ebay is still charging me for the item being sold. On top of this ebay has removed my item TWICE because of some unknown complaint. I have been given the run around multiple times with people who can’t speak English, wont transfer me to a manager, and will not listen to me when I tell them that my account is under attack from some unknown source. I have done everything that has been asked of me, I took pictures of my item, listed the serial number even took another test to list items. I was ASSURED this would solve all my problems.

Now, I get hung up on when I call because a manager will not take my call, even though I was told to call if this ever happened again! Additionally, if Ebay tries to charge me for an item i never sold I will sue your company for fraud. This has been one of the most miserable experiences in my life, and I plan on telling anyone who will listen to never trust this company! No matter how much they claim to want to help, ebay is just dragging individuals like me through the dirt. I mean what do I pay my fees for if all you’re going to do is remove my item even after it has been determined to be perfectly legitimate. Then when I call, I get put on hold by your offices until the office closes! That is so not customer friendly, or even considerate.

As soon as I ship my last item I am done with you! Rest assured, I will also be calling the states Attorney General and issuing a formal complaint against your company for fraud, false advertising, and should I be charged for items I did not sell, theft, and extortion. You have my number, make it right.
