eBay iphone

I was delivered an iphone that was far more damaged than seller described, but ebay sided with seller, and did not allow me the right ti return it.
Consequently, I decided to use the product in the condition it was received, and then found out that it was impossible to enter any information, as the keyboard failed to be displayed.
When I tried to contact the seller again, I discovered that he was no longer registered with ebay and I am unable to get help!

eBay Buyer protection it's a lie

I was order one item in 26 january and the seller tells me me to wait for it a little more because of corona virus. All this time I messaged the seller and ge tell me my item is on my way. I wait until june and I don't receive my item. I ask for refund and seller refused. I ask ebay to step in and they say is to late. So I lost my money because I was tricked by the seller and ebay doesn't do nothing.

eBay Fire stick devices

I was charged for those items and never received them - no tracking id, no contact for seller and eBay never reimbursed me. Don't buy from them. They are a fraud.
They never called me to talk to rep. I was redirected to online claims and my option for claim was not even available. only claims is a headache. Never a rep available on the phone.

eBay About a seller

I bought an item 324158845184 from a seller. After winning the bid and paying for it I was told I had to pay shipping costs even through it was listed with free shipping. When I said I would pay up to $5 toward shipping to be nice the seller cancelled the sale. This is fraud. I have called ebay several times with no response.

eBay Crazy bad review process - seller status issue and refusal to credit fees for reversed sale

This is crazy. I listed items for sale with eBay, and sold them. However, after the sale, the items remained active and for sale, which I had not realized, and still does not make sense to me. If I list one item for sale, why is the listing still active after the sale. I'm not saying I have many. It's a listing for 1 item. Anyway, I had to cancel 6 sales until I realized what was going on, then had to manually end the listings. I have 1100 positive ratings as buyer and seller. I have 100% rating as seller. But, only because of these 6 errors, which eBay refused to reverse, and which I still feel is not my fault for not knowing listings remain active even after completed sales, eBay lowered my seller rating, then started charging me not the usual 10% for sales, but 15%. Over and over I have been appealing my status since Dec. 2019. No go, their decision is final... Then, to add insult to injury, I had a buyer return an item, which reversed the sale. BUT, eBay is refusing to refund me the final value fee on this item, saying that the appeal period had closed. However, there is no appeal on my part. I am not appealing eBay's decision re: returns, only that I be refunded for the sale that did not happen. All this has added up to about $500 loss due, I earnestly believe, to no fault on my part. I have not deceived anyone, I have 100% positive seller feedback. eBay's crazy weird listing structure is what incurred my seller "errors". Plus, they won't credit me for reversed sale. I paid to have the item returned too.

So, after over a decade, I am looking for alternatives to eBay.

Sellers on eBay beware!

eBay Order # 04-04792-08137 daybed trundle frame metal slat platform twin mattress support universal pullout that I am complaining about.

I ordered the daybed for $ 82.57 in March, 2020 that was supposed to be delivered one month later except that I never received anything. I contacted the seller many times over to let him know that I never received the shipment; he claimed that according to Fedex website, the shipment was delivered on April the 8th, 2020. I was amazed to hear that because during the month of april, I communicated with the seller, he told me that the delivery date for the shipment is April 21- April 28; so I contacted on April 29th when I received nothing. That is when then he responded that it was delivered on April the 8th which is a lie. Nevertheless, I investigated and found out the delivery was for another daybed I ordered at walmart for $ 154.95 that had missing parts during the assembly and I returned it and got my money back. It has nothing to do with the daybed I ordered on ebay. Somehow the seller must have hacked into my computer system and found out that there was one I ordered at walmart and attributed to him with the same tracking number. Either way, they are different prices and Fedex confirmed to me that was a 82 pounds shipment from walmart not ebay. So the seller never responded except to tell me that the case is closed, the shipment was delivered on April the 8th while it was not. I am going to the lawyer office on an appointment to discuss the case because I am not going to let ebay eat my $ 82.57 without any consequences; I spent 8 hours to make that money, it was not easy. I want the seller to fulfill his obligation or return my money back on the card. This is corrupt and crooked business practice, this is a violation of the trust that I put on him.

eBay SR# 1-[protected]

The seller, Goldtimer, asked to be paid in cash for a rocking horse. I agreed. After receiving the item, I discovered it was a badly damaged piece of plastic. I took it to an antique shop, and the owner told me he would not give me $5. I paid $100+. I asked the seller if I could return the item for a refund, Goldtimer answered no, then promptly left Ebay. I was no longer able to contact the seller.

I wrote to Ebay and received the attached email on 21 March, assuring me that, even if the seller refused to refund my money, if I returned the item, Ebay would issue my refund. Therefore, I spent another $50 to ship the item back to the seller. When attempting to following up with Ebay, I was told I would not be refunded. So don't have the item, I don't have my money back, and I'm out yet another $50, due to the fraudulent claim of Ebay Customer Service that I would be refunded.

I have asked repeatedly, at this point probably 50 times, to be reached by telephone regarding this matter. It is NOT acceptable to claim lack of customer service due to Covid. It is simply not possible that ANY company in this day and age does not have a contingency plan for staying in business. Therefore, I can only conclude that it is the intention of Ebay to try to get away with lying to its customers. If you'd like to convince me that this is not the case, call me at [protected].
Regards,
Eileen Tiller-Clanton

eBay Sellers protection

PS4 black 500GB console with 2 controllers - FREE SHIPPING
Item ID: [protected]
Sold on: 4 Apr Buyer: Trevor J Bennett
Order number: [protected]
Case #[protected]
---------------------------------------

Hi,

I sold a Play Station 4 and two controllers to this person on Ebay. Everything was working perfectly just before sending. Unfortunately, during the shipping, something happened to the package and the console arrived broken at destination. One of the controller was also not working. My presumption is that the package received a big blow during shipping or something heavier was put on it and it got damaged.

I had to refund the buyer - which I totally agree as he doesn't have to pay for something that is not working. The broken console has been sent back to me. Communciations have always been respectfull between me and the buyer in this process.

But, on the grand scheme of things, I ended up with a broken PS4 that I cannot play with or resell. In these cases, aren't sellers protected in some sort of ways by Ebay/PayPal policies? If something accidently breaks during shipping, aren't sellers supposed to be protected somehow? I wrote a lot of communication to Ebay to explain the situation as I hoped to get a certain amount of the sell that was concluded (and me ending up with a broken console), but the respresentatives refused to help. I have a 100% notation on Ebay, so I don't have a reputation to send broken stuff to people.

A solution that could be faire in these circumstances could be an 200$ that Ebay sends to me. So on the 300$ CAN price I sold the PS4, I would get a part of it. The console could be sell again as "broken PS4 for pieces or repair" at 100$.

Thank you for your reading

eBay Seller funds held for 3 weeks.

I heard horror reports for Sellers on Bay - no rights, funds held for crazy lengths of time - but stupidly decided to go ahead. Sold my guitar as lost my job due to Covid19. Buyer in U.S. received my guitar on 25 March. Very happy with purchase. Ebay states new sellers may have their paypal money released 24 hours after buyer receives item, or 7 days after. Thank you Ebay for playing "god" with my money - over 2 weeks LATER. Out of work, and Ebay released my money only today 10th April. I asked for special empathy due to my position... NO! Ebay, no other company could refuse a persons right to THEIR money like you. My BANK was more empathetic. Disgusting. 25th March - my sale was AUD$4700.00... due to failing US$, today 10th April just AUD$4290.00. Double whammy - no access to much needed funds to pay bills, and $400 less due to falling exchange rate over the 3 weeks they held my money.

eBay Product not as described and came from China where the Covid-19 virus originated

I have been writing eBay about this matter since I purchased toilet paper and it did not say it came from China and the listing said it was from the US. But the item came from China marked Made in China. I asked for a refund and they said I had to return the item which came from China and at my own expense would cost a lot of money. I feel I have been very shabbily treated by eBay since I have been with eBay since 1999 both as a seller and buyer. In addition, the toilet paper was supposed to be 8 rolls and the 8 rolls I received were very small, each one probably usable in one session on the toilet. I don't think I should be forced to return something at my own expense because it was not what I was led to believe I had purchased. These small rolls cost me over $22 which was exorbitant but, at the beginning of the pandemic, there was concern about getting paper products. I want a refund because I was lied to and as a senior citizen of 83 years, I feel that I am being the subject of elderly abuse. Sonia Kellogg, [protected] [protected]@cs.com

eBay shipping costs at ebay - misrepresentation

Ebay list shipping as courier
What they actually do is ship by US postal service which is not a courier company and instead take WEEKS to ship things internationally.

Having worked for a courier company for many years I know the transit times from most parts of the world and it does not take THREE WEEKS to get to New Zealand unless you are using a donkey.

This is a systemic issue with EBAY - they charge courier prices and give you postal service - this is an EBAY SCAM

eBay musical instruments fakes and rip-off

Frank Schauer of the "music-outlet-shop" should be removed from ebay. He sells out of Germany and misrepresents items in the best scenario and in the worst sells fraudulent or impossible-to-determine items as genuine. He ridiculous inflates the price of everything he sells and seems to has a wildly sliding shipping policy.

This is not the type of scam seller you should be promoting. There are lots of complaints about him outside of Ebay. I don't understand why his Ebay rating is so high but since he seems to be a fraud in every other aspect I would guess this as well

eBay Payment never ever received

Ok, listen to this with eBay was I bought some candy which is KitKat, of course I paid w/Paypal & since I didn't receive this Candy at all (February 03, 2020) Anyway I made a complaint to Paypal first the told me to go to eBay Resolutions I did that & informed the seller which I did & never heard anything from him at all. So eBay decides not to investigate this & closed the Resolution account & not returning my refund. & I now they comes with Lie stating that it was close really. So that means the sellers can get away with murder & the Buyer sucks ok then. I now don't have anything to do with Paypal or eBay I closed both accounts cause this is not a good way to do Business with anybody so I think they need to stop emailing me with that nonsense agreement I'm really not interested in that because you don't about anyone except yourselves & I took my business else & they will honor & fix the problem not like your Company will & not nothing & you have lost me & a lot others with your mistakes. So you think about that one

eBay ref. # - item #392686737632 - poor customer service and no transparency

No transparency of fee breakdown. Poor Customer Service, exceptionally difficult to understand since all calls go to the Philippines or somewhere in Asia. Conducted numerous of phone calls, bounced back and forth between EBay and Paypal, no accountability, everyone expressed it's not their responsibility when it comes to Fees and no one is willing or capable of refunding a Cross Boarder Fee when clearly the item was advertised to be sold in the USA, shipped in the USA in Florida, and paid in US dollars!

It also turns out this buyer has an account and clearly states on the individual's profile: "Based in United States, jhosan-37 has been an eBay member since Oct 09, 2018." The following is a direct link to her profile:
https://www.ebay.com/usr/jhosan-37

This fee should not be the seller's responsibility. How in the world are sellers supposed to know whether the BUYER RESIDES - IN THE USA OR A FOREIGN COUNTY? Regardless of Fee Disclosure, this fee should be the BUYERS FEE.

If this policy is not revised, then the Seller should be INFORMED IN ADVANCE OF ANY and ALL POTENTIAL FOREIGN BUYERS who are NOT a USA resident at the time bids or offers are imitated which can make a huge difference in negotiating, especially when dealing with pricy items you are selling!

There's a "C" in front of the price. Don't know what it is but all money is in U.S. dollars.
Yes they can return it at their expense and they have 14 days to decide.
Why is MY APPROVAL RATING at around 67%? It's always been 100%!

eBay neither ebay or paypal stand behind "buyer satisfaction guarantee"

A purchased item was not received. Ebay says "we show it delivered" so refused claim. I provided proof the item was not delivered to my address. I had the local police retrieve the item, based on the address I got from FedEx. According to the detectives the package was sent through a 3rd party and contained a $3 item and not the $520 item ordered. Ebay referred me to PayPal. I provided PP with pictures of the item that I obtained from the police. The pictures showed the shipping label had the delivery confirmation number supplied to me by the seller. It shows the package was addressed with a house address close to mine, too small a package to contain the order item and had a made up name. PP says nothing we can do "we show it as delivered". I've requested to talk to a PP fraud supervisor and I have waited 25 min. and 38 min. on two calls before being disconnected. Item was not purchased with a credit card so no recourse there. This experience is so contrary to what Ebay and PP advertise in their service guarantees. Obvious fraud that they don't want to address. Very disappointed and not willing to give up.

eBay bargain shack

I am 78 years old and just figured I got ripped off last summer when I purchased an Excalibur dehydrator from Bargain shack. I received a dehydrator but it would only reach 80 degree temperature, no booklet, one plastic liner was missing and the back cord was all taped with a clear sticky tape. I contacted the seller and they sent me a return shipping voucher. We returned it never to hear another word, we did not get another dehydrator nor a credit on my card. I went to the area to contact the seller and everything was gone, like we had never had a conversation.

I was going through papers and burning them yesterday and saw where I had kept my personal record. I know I cannot prove I returned the dehydrator but I want my complaint known. Well, yesterday I got angry all over again so I put in Bargain Shack reviews and there are reviews. I added mine and the guy writes back saying he is Brad Cook co-owner of Bargain Barn out of Ok. would I please delete my negative comment. He said he has never heard of another company called Bargain Barn, it was not them. I commented that two companies have the same business name? I left and took a nap, I am old you know. I came back to apologize if he was telling the truth and said if I were him I would check into who the other business was. I hit to send and the whole page left except for a white page with black writing saying I could not access this site. Is that called blocked? I am old, on a fixed income but this should not happen to anyone.
