Dubai First inappropriate charging of late payment fee

I paid my due date on 3 June 2019 through online and it was debited against my bank account on the same date which is before my credit card due. The customer care (Cassandra) and her manager said the reason for late payment due is because of EID. They should not charge me any late payment fee as i paid it on time. They didn't even ask for the confirmation on my online payment to confirm that the payments made on 3 June 2019.
Customer cares are not useful unlike other customer cares of other financial institution. I will definitely close my account on this Company.

This is exactly what happened to me as well. They’re insisting that it was only credited to their bank account on June 10 when the fund clearly got credited to them on June 3. It’s IMPOSSIBLE for the funds not to get credited on the same day because it was just a transfer of money between two accounts within the same bank (ENBD). Such liars.

I have been staying in UAE for the last 15 years and dealt with various banks but have never seen a most ridiculous bank like Dubai First . Dubai First is the most pathetic, unprofessional bank i have ever seen, they have untrained staff who never know what exactly is happening with your account and keep giving stupid replies. Dubai First is the only bank i think in the world who uses outdated banking softwares which can never give accurate details. In short if you are looking for a terrifying, horrific, unreal banking experience can surely deal with a DUMB bank like Dubai First.

Dubai First dubai first credit card

Please be careful with this company! They deliberately avoid sending you statement, every action takes 5-6 working days and they add hidden fees to your account.

I have not recieved a statement for the last 2 month but yet they feel compelled to add late fee & interest charges onto my account.

They add un-necessary insurance product that you dont want, with a charge such as Credit shield and they dont explain the use of them

Avoid this bank at all cost.

Dubai First credit card annual charges reversal

Regarding Annual Fee Charges for my Credit Card Number 4573********5405.

Just to inform you that I am using Dubai First Credit Card for more than 15 years and not even single time I was in default. Also this Mile card was provided from Dubai First. I have not requested for this card.

Attached screen will show how many times i was following up for my Annual Fee Charges Reversal & Air Mile Redemption.

On 10th December 2018, i raised query to know when will be my annual fee is due to ensure that i will cancel my card before it will get charged. I received update that in February 2019 it will be due.

In return I received offer that i can get free for life credit card and my existing card will be cancelled. I requested that is it possible to carry forward my pending air miles to new card but i received feedback that it's not possible and it's better to redeem my air miles so i have requested not to issue new credit card till i redeem my air miles.

I was keep on trying online to redeem my air miles but due to system issue i was not able to redeem air miles so on 10th February i raised complaint for the same. When i call customer service number i have been told to submit the error screenshot which i did on 14th February 2019. I was keep on following for the update but i received feedback that once IT issue resolved i will receive a call but i did not receive any call. Before the system issue get resolved i get charged for the annual fee.

Again i call customer service number and informed them about my issue and received update that somebody will call me to resolve the issue. After several follow-up i received call from Ms. Jacklin that she will look in to it and will get back to me. She asked me that will it be possible to spend AED 4000 pm for 2months so that she can request for the annual fee reversal. I explained her that it was not my fault but still i cannot commit for 4000 but minimum i can spend AED 2000 pm so in 2 months i will spend AED 4000. She informed me that she will check & get back to me.

Again i was keep on following up with her and called her couple of times but she informed me that she is waiting for the management approval.

17th April2019 i received call from Jacklin and she informed me that management has proposed 2 solution
Option 1 - 50% waiver of annual fee or Option 2 - i will receive 50000 air miles and i have to pay my annual fee.

I informed her that i will not accept this offer as it's not my fault so she told me that i can call customer service number and raise complaint which i did on 17th April 2019 itself.

I received a call from customer care department Mina and he also propose the same offer which was provided by Jacklin. I told him the same that i am not interested in the proposed solution and requested to reverse my annual fee.

The reason for not accepting the proposed offer because it is not my fault. If you check the history i was keep on following to cancel my card to avoid the annual fee and still i get charged

Appreciate your help & support to resolve this issue.

Dubai First letter for liability (buy out)

Hello!
I am at the initial stage of my request for liability letter and was told that it will take 15 days starting last monday, May 5 2019. I am expecting a call today until 3 pm as noted by the agent (btw I called the agent 3 times previously, 1 for the request, 2 yesterday for confirmation of my request and today to ensure someone will call me)

My reference is as per below...

Dear Customer, Your request at Dubai First has been registered with ref # 'G21955370127933'

I will update this board asap for progress on a timely manner. 1 and 1/2 hour to go to miss the promise of the follow up call.

Part 2

As expected, I did not receive a call from Dubai First. I called the Call Center at around 2:28 pm and I was told that I will receive a call. I called again at 3:32 p.m. and (Abdulrahman) call center agent said that they will raise an e-mail copying his is manager. I asked for the Complaint reference code and he said only the Credit Card number.

Tomorrow he said they will for sure call me.

I will update again in regards. 13 DAYS more to receive my Letter of Liability if the 15 working days time frame is to follow.

Dubai First credit card

Dear Dubai first,

You guys are cheating customers like anything and service you guys provide is worst ever and will not come back never ever.(Your Dubai First Credit Card is due for payment.Pls pay at the earliest possible or call 04 5068777 for assistance.Pls Ignore if already paid.)message from you guys dated today dated(05/05/2019) and submitted the cheque on last Thursday means (01/05/2019) in your burjuman office.
Service what you are provided will never forget and if you want to charge penality against my pending amount please charge it, but please dont cheat any customers with words.

Dubai First dubaifirst credit card

I am behind this bank to cancel my card since last 2 month. service is very very bad, I trapped in this bank. I have no liability on that bank.Still they have refusing to cancel my card. more than 20 times i called customers service but they are cheating me.
be care full before buy this card. once you buy you will be trapped.
still now i am behind customers service for cancel my card. now i am going to make complaint in central bank.

I have requested to cancel my credit card in Dubai First Card. I am still behind them since the last one month. I called so many times to call center and registered complaint many times.Sometime i will get call but they are not willing to cancel my card. I have no outstanding also this card is free for life.even they threaten me i have to pay some annual fees if i cancel my card.I asked them free for life card how can apply annual fee..?after i planned for make a complaint in central bank against them and same informed to bank representative.after they stopped voice of additional payment.

even i never used this card till now. stroy is .. i taken this card one of their sales representative (Mr.Shaid) behind me since DEC 2018 and at last he told me like that, "sir please take one card after immediately you cancel the card in same day".If i help him, he will he will not loss his job loss from Dubai first.only that reason i taken this card.I did only a help for a stranger sales rep.

Now i have to reduce my liability and i am planning to move to saudi .but since the last one month i am behind the bank customer service.today I applied Closure form through online.I am staying and working in abu dhabi, mussafah so not possible to go their main office at dubai.

just now i read in gulf news a reader complaint about Dubai first to cancel credit card.(Published: September 16, 2016 18:05 Manuel Almario, Community Editor)
also i seen Dubai first face book page 99% customers commented for their very bad experience with dubai first credit card.Now i am very worry about my credit card cancellations and how much time take for cancellations.

Please help me for reach my situation to bank higher authority and peoples before apply any card without study of card provider.

Dubai First credit cards

Completely disappointed with this bank!
I am not sure if this complaint will be taken seriously at all by the dubai first management but still I wish to express my utter disappointment on the service and customer relations of this bank. I have been dealing with this bank for past 2 years now to cancel my credit card and the bank is continuously forcing me not to cancel the card by forcibly implying fees and penalties on me. I have been in contact with the agent named "sonia" last year whom I had the whole conversation about cancelling my credit card because I cannot afford to keep it anymore and they are forcing me to pay the annual fees for the time I would not be even using the credit card. They gave me conditions to fulfill if I want to cancel the card which I did last year and then when I asked to cancel the card they are forcing me to come to their bank and then cancel. This bank does not even have branches in dubai. Only one office in burjuman which is far away from my work place. The bank is only open on weekdays and obviously I am working on weekdays and cannot have time to go so far away. I therefore could not manage to go. No again this year they charged me the fees even after asking last year to cancel the card. This bank is forcing me now again to pay the fees. Why should I pay the fees for the year when I will not use the card at all? The bank is charging me fees for next year in advance when the card will actually be cancelled? This is ridiculous service to get from this bank after being a customer for 13 long years. I have seen online a lot of complaints and I also see that the bank does not even care to reply to the complaints raised by its customers. I think the bank does not care about anything but ripping off their customers! This is the worst bank to deal with. The burjuman office has only 3 people working. The bank looks being on the verge of final closure and therefore they are trying to rip off any customer they can by forcing them to pay illegal fees. When I got this card I was told that it is free for lifetime. This is completely illegal now to charge me any fees!

Dubai First contact agent behavior

This is to bring to your attention that I received a call from dubai first agent who was very rude and unpolite, with unacceptable behaviour. The call is recorded for reference. His name is arthur i'm wondering how such people represent the image of the company. He should get more training in customer service and how to deal with customers. It was a bad experience and im not happy at all.

Please be aware and check your each and every transaction very carefully, You may would have been charged but missed to notice as the amount gets added hidden to you in the same transaction which is taken place, Fortunately, I have noticed the extra amount incorporated in unbilled accumulated transaction.
Escalate the transactions considering top priority, Please keep in mind that we have right to take care of our money.
Dubai First, Its really disappointing situation that how Bank Customer Service Employee # Mr. Michael convincing customer to accept the unethical charges and keep on repeating until the customer accepts, Further convincing to that extent that the complaint can't be raised, report to #Rasha Asaad.

Please be informed that when customer makes the transaction (Local / International), where the amount which is showing in local currency should be the amount taken by the bank and that is the reason customer is accepting to make the payment, Instead bank is showing or displaying some sort of convincing amount and later on the same transaction get the revised figures which is completely hidden to customer .

• Is the Banking has dropped down to the such level in Personal Banking .
• Authentication process by Bank Channel doesn't authorize bank to charge a single penny extra against the amount which is authenticated and displayed the deductible amount on the net banking/mobile app during the transaction processing .
• Excuses provided by the bank that Tariff charges are updated and mailed to customer # Pls note its Customer hard earned money - Just sending Updated Tariff doesn't authorize you to collect money / charges which is undisclosed during the authentication process. "IT IS COMPLETELY UNETHICAL".
• Be the Bank for customer convenience perspective .
• You can't get away by simply stating that customer has signed the application and accepted the terms and conditions, For Banks - customer security for each and every transactions Authentication is mandatory like wise customer should authorize to proceed the transaction including the charges with a clear understanding and display on the authentication step # DO NOT TAKE CUSTOMERS AS GRANTED.
• Customer respects and trust banks to channelize the transactions in favor of customers not in favor to channelize unethically.

Dubai First credit card fraud transactions

Dear team

This is regarding a complaint against the fraudulent use of my credit card on 13-03-2019 and nothing has been done since 15 days and i requested for the bank letter so that i can file a case with the police and no update has been received.

Kindly provide me with the statement of these fraudulent transactions as i cannot wait for one month for next statement to generate as narrated by you as i have to file a police case because all of my accounts have been compromised.
KIndly issue the same or provide me with a letter from the bank that these transactions were fraud so that police can initiate the investigation.
No updates have been done from bank side for the bank's investigation.

Dubai First credit card

There was an outstanding balance in my account for around 65 dirham and on that nominal balance - i have been charged the penalty amount for around 500 dirhams. On that i have requested several times for closure of this card because i am continuously being followed up for that nominal balance and now i am getting penalized. On top of that - just to mention, i have already paid 65 as well as the penalty charge for Feb. But for the month of March - i would request you to waive off these charges for March and close the credit card. Request has also been raised several times on call.

I am willing to pay principle amount with their processing fee but customer care told me you have to pay full interest with principle amount plus 1% process fee... is this not as per banking rule I want early settlement?

Dubai First credit card and liability letter - a lot to complain about this bank

Dear complaints department,

I have requested for liability letter and your team asked me to settle the due then I did and applied again. Now they said i need to pay again! How come? I need the liability letter to settle the Full amount not only the due! How u want me to pay? I have no money that's why i got offer letter from another bank to pay but u still complicate the matter! It is very simple if you need the money plz issue the letter but if you need only to disturb us so it is different matter now! Plz issue the letter to get your money! SIMPLE SIMPLE SIMPLE. I got it from other bank smoothly and easy. I need a clear answer and I need the letter plz to settle the amount.

Dubai First not getting 1st statement and insurance charges and interest and penalty reversal / refund

Dear Sir,

Pl. note that I did not got my 1st statement and I am getting charged of interest.

I called several times to customer care. They says that we have send the statement. But it has not received at all.
Also customer care person are useless irresponsible persons saying I shall register myself for the bill. it is my responsibility.

This is frustrating.
Also Sales person are taking sign while giving the card but I was unaware of insurance which I found in the bill. 1st month bill insurance is they are saying now complimentary which shall be refunded but it has not processed yet. Also I called on 9th of January to cancel the insurance. they are saying that it required 6 days to update and in 2nd statement also insurance bill has came. this shall be refunded as I called on 9th itself to cancel the insurance whereas bill is generating on 12th of Jan 2019.
Also all this happening because I did not got the 1st statement and unaware of the insurance.

Hence the interest which is appearing on January and now will be in February shall
be refunded.

All the 3 problem are related to not getting 1st statement. Also I have cancelled insurance on 9th of January. So insurance fees shall be refunded.

Sells persons while giving card telling that we will give you good service and all and once they give card even not taking call single time. I am really frustrated.

Below is also a irresponsible manager even not taking calls also, He asked to send my credit card details, and told that I will look into the matter and will try to help you however after called several times, he never receives the call.

Customer Care people simply denies for the refund saying its my responsibility to register for getting bill and all.
This is frustrating.

I really got horrible frustrating experience and unnecessary deducting insurance fees as well which I did not wish to take.

I have given reference of Dubai 1st to several people in my office and Now it seems I should inform them about the Dubai 1st horrible service.

Kindly look into the matter and refund my insurance fees, late payment charges, and interest fees.

Dubai First credit card

Dear Complaint department,

I am writing as had enough of Dubai First team (employees of different categories) and it's assigned "authorised 3rd party" unprofessional treatment.

My name is Anna Matevosyan, I had a card and the loan with that entity which I stopped paying once your team start harassing me by phone calls, yelling and contacting any number they can find through on-line.

I had advised multiple time to contact only me and through email only.

Please be informed that any further call from anyone presented from Dubai First or it's authorized 3rd party company will result in filing a police case for personal harassment with further legal actions against the person(s).

Dubai First credit card

Dear, I have got a supplement card for first gulf bank and it was issued to me on 8/2017 and I was said by the bank person that the card was free for life time and now after a year I got a call on nov that the card is being charged with annaul fees of 200. I have told that the card I have not yet activated only. Then I got a call in jan saying that the amount is being doubled to 1100. This is not right to charge a person if the card is still not activated and free of charge.

Dubai First useless insurance claims

I lost my job in July and immediately called Dubai First customer care to process my Insurance Claim. I submitted the request and they never called me for updates. They blocked my card which they said is for "security reasons". Even my online account is useless because I cannot view any statement. They wouldn't send me statement until November!"I've been emailing them for updates they would not answer and calling the customer care center is just the worst experience ever. They would promise call back but they never called. Oh, by the way, their collections team are so evil! I bet other customers can attest to this! They are so evil with an annoying accent!
I paid 1800 AED in October to stop thos nasty calls still waiting for them to work on my insurance claims and has been making follow ups which they ignore until the nasty email I receive from them demanding a payment else they will file legal case.
So after couple of arguements over the phone, I demanded to talk to a manager by the name of Laviña, she misled me big time with different information which gave me an impression that she doesn't know anything about the process, all she said was"I'm sorry"and"I cannot comment on that". After talking to her last Sunday 9th of December 2018, she said she will follow up with the insurance company and I should call back after 3 working days. Imagine the time line! I applied for the insurance claim in July and they are just taking action this December!
I have the funds and I want to pay but I just want to know how much I need to pay and I seriously want to get something from that insurance which I paid monthly! Still I paid 6000AED.
She said I am supposed to call back after 3 days as Dubai First customer care service do not call customers for updates regarding claims!
(LIAR! Everytime I would call their customer care I am always promised a call back after 3 days but they never did!)
So I called back today after 3 business days as she advised, no luck, I told the agent I will post on social media about my bad experiences they caused me if Laviña will not call me back and guess what, she called and she didn't remember me! Wow! I told her I am calling because it was her advise to call back to check the status of my claims, and she just rephrased what I said covering the obvious fact that she forgot about me. She said my the claim is approved for month of July and prorated amount for the month of August but my card is permanently blocked due to non payment and bad payment record. Amazing isn't it? I do not want to post this because it is energy draining to do but they just pushed all my buttons down. I called them
Again to asked what happened to that 1800 payment? The agent said it should be on my September SOA because I made the payment in October. So I checked all the statements again after that call and found out that they did not send my September statement. So I do not have a choice but to call them back to ask them to resend me my September statement because I cannot see the 1800 AED I paid in any of the statements and that September SOA is missing to my surprise the agent said I have to pay 50AED so they can send my September SOA! Wow! Just wow! Such a reap off! Oh, by the way, they can only send it to me after 2 working days! What a great company!

Dubai First credit card fraud

Hi I have also faced same issue with my DIB Credit card today. Suddenly 4 transactions with in a span of 4 minutes early in the morning at 1.00 am deductions started happening in my credit card account. I received 4 messages of deduction worth 9000 AED.

Message reads.. "POS Purchase of 2, 110 on Credit Card No. XXXX on ... from Etc IVR 142."

Please help anybody has any clue in this regards.

Dubai First credit card marketing tactic to get customers, telling no annual fee or free for life but later on you will see annual fee for 400 dirhams, so please be careful don't ever use this bank. Please check all the statement as there might additional charges as well. Make sure to read your contract and be sure to what your signing for, don't just trust the agent as they might just get some customers targets. Raised complaint but customer service close but no any action done.

Dubai First credit card and collections department issue

Im complaining about my creditcard payment because at first i payed last 2 months with only the minimum amount and my account went to the collections department. After 1 month i have the money now to sort out everything and the collections department wants me to pay only 1520 which i did not do. I paid 12k dhs and after that knowing that my account has been blocked. They informed me that i can pay the balance afterwards. How can i activate my card again. So technically i just lost my 10k dhs that they didnt inform me that my account has been blocked. I want to re instate my account. Please help me with this i am not a deliquent client i have just delayed payments and this isnt right

Dubai First liability letter since 19th nov

Dear sir/madam,

I applied for a liability letter via phone on 19th november... I have a loan with my bank to clear both my credit cards amount approx 115k. Dubai first is the only bank that has delayed myself and the banker! Rak issued within 24 hours and couriered free to my work address! I had over 5 calls a day for a week asking me to do installment plan when clearly I want to clear my cards and close!
I find it appalling that I still today have no liability letter that has to be "collected" from bur dubai then banker has to issue cheque which takes time, therefore my statement will come out on 12th with more charges! This is the only obvious reason that you are delaying on purpose! As a bank you should be happy that a long term customer wants to clear the credit cards and should assist promptly!
I spoke to a manager called kevin who assured this would be done is now monday still no letter! His number [protected] I had to call today asked for mr kevin three times to call me back, no call back either! I just want my liability letter so that we can clear both cards! It is now the 5th november.
Please ensure a manager contacts me today on [protected]... Else I will proceed to central bank to file a complaint.
I have an offer letter that can be sent to you we are only waiting on your bank so we can close this, but is evident you are delaying and causing unnecessary charges to me! Ensure I am contacted please today!
