    I got this from [protected]@hotmail.com

Are they trying to get our credit card info?
It has a phone number (or FAX number) in US.
    [protected]
    Is it a real number?

    1) The promised service is 'Search Submissions' - i.e. 'Domain Services' claim that they will submit your domain name to search engines. The world's primary search engine is Google which doesn't take submissions and nor do many of the others. The service is therefore well nigh valueless. If you want to submit your domains to the remaining search engines there are online tools which will help you do it for free.
    2) They probably hope to catch people thinking they are offering domain name renewal, by having a Subject line 'This is your Final Notice of Domain Listing'. They are not of course, as is explained in smaller print below.
    3) I have received several of these using different hotmail email addresses - eg [protected]@hotmail.com, [protected]@hotmail.com. This is often a marker of fraudulent activity, plus it is intended to bypass spam filters.
    4) This is spam mail, your details have been lifted from the publicly available WHOIS database.

In summary, this is spam using dodgy looking email addresses and offering an almost worthless service at a high cost. The company may well be 'legitimate' but if you send these people your credit card details then you should not be surprised if disappointment follows.

To be fair to them, they do spell out the limitations of their service at the bottom:
    ----
By accepting this offer, you agree not to hold DN liable for any part. Note that THIS IS NOT A BILL. This is a solicitation. ... There is no pre-existing relationship between DN and the domain mentioned above. This notice is not in any part associated with a continuation of services for domain registration. Search engine submission is an optional service that you can use as a part of your website optimization and alone may not increase the traffic to your site...

Today I was also offered a lifetime option for a mere $999!!! I added it to my own anti-scam blog http://goo.gl/Xcqr5. Surely this must be illegal in the US where this company claims to be based?
