Dollar Tree manager at store horrible hateful and cussed me out

On sunday, november 19, 2017 i had an advertisement, not in the form of a coupon, that stated on that day they were having a "customer service appreciation day and if you purchased $10 or more you would get 10% off your total purchase. I asked the cashier before he started to ring up my purchase, "everything is 10% off today right?" He responded "yes as long as your purchase it $10 or more, " so he knew in advance I had the advertisement with the 10% off. As he rang up my items, the total seemed more than it should with the 10% off. I had a budget of $19 to shop for my 82yr old grandmother who is home bound. The total was around $22 so I had him put back 2 items to bring a total of $19.26. I also had a second separate transaction to make and my 1 yr old daughter with me, who at this time was getting fussy. He gave me the receipt and he did not apply the 10% discount to any items/total. I asked him to refund the items give me the cash back that I just paid, and re-ring up the items and apply the 10% off the total. He was obviously new and needed help from manager. Manager was a white late 40s or 50s lady with dirty blond hair, balding spot in back of her head, no name tag or I'D. She argued with me said they don't do refunds. I explained this isn't a refund, it is a transaction that needed voided because the cashier made an error and did not give me the 10% discount. I told her I needed to give my grandmother her receipt showing she received the discount. She flat out refused to help and said I could use discount on my personal transaction but I wanted my grandmother on a limited income to have the discount. She said "I don't have time for you, and told the 4 other people in line to come to her register so she could get them checked out. Leaving her unrestrained employee left trying to deal with my issue. I did all the math and said instead, why don't you make it right by giving my grandmother 2 of the 4 packs of toilet paper for free, which would had been her savings for the 10% had the cashier done his job correctly the 1st time. She said "I'm not giving you anything for free. I want you to leave my [censor]ing store now. You can go to another dollar tree and purchase you're other [censor] [censor]" she said that to me in front of my 1 year old daughter. completely unacceptable on so many ways. So your so called manager at your 9491 e. Washington St Indianapolis, IN 46219 store had no idea what customer service or customer appreciation day is. She needs to be fired immediately for cussing out your paying customer and in front of my young child. I want my money back. I will never shop at the store again. I am posting this on Facebook and Google reviews and letting all my family and friends to never shop there again. This was the 1st time I have been out in public after my PTSD diagnosis and I had to call the crisis line when I left. I was insulted, disrespected and in front of my child and they still got my $19.26. I wish she had on proper name badge so I could go e you here name. But I was at that store from 7pm to 8pm on 11/19/17. Worst shopping experience ever.

Dollar Tree horrible customer service at store #6257

I visited store#6257 today and was experienced horrible customer service from one of your employees. I know her name started with a the letter D(she was an older hispanic lady), and when I asked who l who's the manager, I was told but by another employee that she was. Anyways, first when I asked her where an item was in the store, she act like she didn't want to answer me, so I asked her again and she rudely told me where I could find the item. Second, there was a bit of a long line so she came up to check help check out. So I walked over to her line with my 4 items in hand, and her pushed my stuffed back and rudely said she was next in line and reached around my stuff and started ringing someone else up, so I went back to the previous line, and after she finished her line and saw I was still waiting in the other line, she just walked away. This is not the first time I've experienced rude behavior from particular employee, she always have a bad attitude and act like she hates her job. I was very surprised to know she was a manager, being that she should be an example to others. I live close to this dollar tree and I'm there often, however customer service plays a major factor in where I shop and spend my money. So I wanted to bring this problem to your attention because I know this isn't the Dollar Tree brand way of treating their customers.

Dollar Tree service

Today I went to your store number 3261, I was told by a friend of your customer appreciation day, receiving 10% off of any purchase over $10. So I filled my basket and went to the check out, where I was told I would not be appreciated with 10% off because I didn't have a coupon, I asked for a manager and she too said I would not be appreciated today. So instead of my well over $75 dollar purchase, I spent less then $10, I work for a major retailer and do know, that you take care of your customers No Matter What...today the dollar tree failed miserably. I used to have the saying, I Love The Dollar Tree, now not so much. But don't worry if you're ever at Walmart I will take care of you as a valued customer.

Thank you

If you work in retail, then you should know that if a coupon is part of the promotion then the customer must have it. Sometimes coupons are limited and sent to specific customers only. I'm surprised that you did not do any research to confirm the sale. The only person you should be angry at is your friend for giving you the wrong information.

Dollar Tree unauthorized credit card charges

I went to the Dollar Tree on 115 Stuart rd Cleveland TN on 11/18/2017 at 1:42 pm. My total came to $16.32 and I used my card at the register, the credit card machine said approved and I removed my card. The cashier kept pushing buttons on the register and stated to me that I had to run the card again that the amount was not approved. I questioned her that the credit card pin-pad stated approved and she said I didn't know how to use the machine. I proceeded to run the card again and the same thing happened. After 3 times the purchase was finally " approved ". When I returned home I checked my bank and the purchase for $16.32 was charged to my bank 3 times. I called the Dollar Tree and talked to "Deb" the manager on duty and she stated that it was an accident. I then proceeded to ask her for the corporate number as my bank was closed and I could not do anything until Monday. She laughed and said that it was only $16 dollars and that I should not bother with it. I told her it was $32.64 taken out over what I should have paid. She did not give me the corporate number and told me I would have to call back for the number. This is very bad business for Dollar Tree. I am going to my bank to have the 2 extra transactions disputed.

Dollar Tree broken restrooms

Someone needs to remind Dollar tree that not having proper facilities for employees to go to the bathroom is against OSHA regulations. Store number 7207 has had broken bathrooms for about 2 weeks now and on top of this when an employee needs to use the bathroom they must clock out and find somewhere else to go. It's bad enough they have to walk elsewhere but they need to clock out to do it.

Dollar Tree store workers

We went to our local dollar tree in Los lunas and there was laundry detergent spilled on the floor and my 16 year old son slipped and fell getting the soap all over his clothes and shoes. After he got up out of the floor he passed a worker that was going to put up a sign he told Terri that it was too late for that because he just fell in it. She ignored him and continued walking. He came to tell me and I asked her if she was aware that my son had just fallen because of the spilled soap and she said yes and asked if I was ready to check out. Did not ask if he was ok did not fill out an incident report did not care. I don't think that is how it should have been handled.

Dollar Tree service

Store 1498 in Greenville, NC- I have shopped in this store several times over the last few months, and each time I have come in I have noticed the shelves were either messy or half empty. I have overheard associates talking about how their store manager doesnt do anything, and it shows. This makes me not want to shop there again. I see the same girls working hard every time I shop there, but every time i have caught a glimpse of the store manager, he was either coming out of the office or smoking outside. So disappointing.

Dollar Tree horrible customer service

The older lady at the Bolingbrook location off Weber that closed on 11/18/17 was very rude. I believe she was even a manager. She jumped on another register to make the line go down and so I went to her line. I asked if she was open and said "I wasn't" with all sorts of attitude for no reason. Doesn't make me want to shop at that location any more.

Dollar Tree working on breaks not dressed out drugs

You have a red headed manager working at your Bloomingdale store selling drugs to co workers talking about private matters about a recent employee quitting to other workers and customers. She treats the employees like crap screaming at them. She is working on her breaks and lunches which is against the law. One of the black stockers works off the clock after his shift is over and the red head allows it. Some workers are not dressing out so when im in there they have ear buds in phones out you have to ask do you work here. I accidently walked in backroom and boy a lot of violations going on. What kind of people you got running this dollar tree? Im a regular and if this isn't fixed my next email is to proper authorities.

Dollar Tree service

On 11/16/17 at dollar tree located at 2596 linden blvd, Brooklyn, NY 11208, I was at the check out counter when I put 43 items on the counter. I went into my jacket pocket to retrieve my debit card. It was not there. I started looking in several bags of mine. When I got to the sales associate Tamika, I told her not to ring up my items yet. I told two other customers behind me to go ahead of me. Tamika didn't like that because she became angry and disrespectful to me. Her face was angrily swinch up and in a loud harsh tone on her voice said"you have to move these things off the counter" I said no. I'm not moving all these things off. I'm looking for my debit card. When I retrieved my debit card I said you can ring my things up. She was rolling her eyes at me and throwing my items in the bag extremely roughly like she was beating the items up. I noticed she was disrespectful to me and another Hispanic woman and an African American man that asked her to ring up a can if shaving cream before she started ringing up my items and she spoked to him harshly when she said no. You have to wait. I told her she could ring his item up before ringing my stuff. She ignored what I said. Before I left the store I stood near the exit door to put my items in my shopping cart. I was looking at her to see how she was interacting with the other customers. It was pretty much the same until two Caribbean speaking women reached her for checkout. They were talking in their native accents. Tamika was smiling a beautiful wide smile showing beautiful teeth. Is Tamika prejudice? She treat her kind better than other customers? I don't beleave dollar tree would tolerate such behavior. I informed her manager Ms. Muriel about Tamikas behavior. When I got home I checked my items against my receipt because Tamika was throwing my items in the bags so fast I couldn't keep up with the count of my items. She charged me twice for two items.

Dollar Tree overall appearance of the store

Ive never been been into a dollar tree that was located somewhere that isnt the hood and been so disgusted! Ive talked to some employees and they all say they are embarassed by it but judie just wanta the freight out! So its just slapped out in stupid places with the box top cut off. Ive seen walmart clearance isles that look better. There are sooo many floor stacks throughout the store and many of them dont make any sense as to why they are placed there. Its tacky how when i come in the manager judie is always on a personal call! Im going to have to find a different dollar tree to ahop at.

Dollar Tree worker complaining about manager

I am a 8 month pregnant stock employee at Dollar Tree in Garden City, NY location. I have been repeatedly harassed by the freight manager. My district manager and employee relations and store manager are aware of this situation. Even tho being pregnant I am still capable of doing 3 to 4 uboats in a span of 5 hours or less. I was told that I couldn't eat a yogurt that I brought from home, even tho they do not know I am a diabetic. I was yelled at which I recordered and told that I was not cared about which is fine. This incident brought me to a breaking point which I started to cry about the situation. I have been an stock employee for almost 2 years and have never once raised my voice. The freight manager whom I used to be her boss at another company is constantly telling me that I did not like her at the other company. I wasn't aware of her disliking towards me and now I am being harassed where I work. I'm constantly being touched by her meaning she is rubbing on my belly when i repeatedly asked her not to.

If you have a human resources representative, I would recommend escalating the situation to them. Since you are both pregnant and diabetic, they may need to make a few accommodations for you. In regards to the unwanted touching, that is harassment and that individual could be terminated for it.

Dollar Tree rude manager

I just visited the local Dollar Tree on Hwy 202 in Anniston, AL. I stood in a one register line for 20mins. I knocked on managers door to see if he could open another register. His response was he was on lunch break and couldn't assist until after his lunch. Seriously! After 30mins in line he called someone from the back to open a register. He could assist him in logging in & getting the register open ... am I to assume he was off break? Doubtful!

Apologizing first. Sorry. I have two additional complaints about the Hwy 202 in Anniston, AL store. I've been sitting on these two complaints for 6 months now. The shelves are empty in the store. Confused because when you walk past stock room it's so full you barely can walk through it. Either get them some help or figure out what's going on. Second issue. The parking lot is nasty. It's full of trash & cigarette butts right at the front door. I asked manager why it's not cleaner and was told that they pay someone to clean it. I'm not sure I believe them but if so they need to be fired. Take pride in your store and neighborhood and keep them clean!

Dollar Tree service

Around 5:50 pm on 11/14/2017, I entered dollar general on colonel Glenn street in little rock Arkansas. When I entered there was an older black lady with gray hair and glasses. She yelled from across the store for me to leave my bag in the front on the floor. I was very upset and embarrassed as well. I am 29 years old and my bag is about 9 inches high and 6 inches wide, very small bag (sachel). A lady was standing in front of me and I responded to the clerk that told me to leave my bag by asking how come the lady in front of me can bring in a bag 3x my bag size and it be ok. I was profiled as a thief or I feel that I was. I have never been so disrespected in my life. If the store is having problems with theft there is a better way to handle it. I totally understand if people are stealing but as customers we should all be treated the same way. Now what if I had left my bag at the front door and when I got back it was missing? Very very unprofessional store location. If the comment was ment for kids then it should have been understood that I am not a child. After I said I will not leave my bag at the front on the floor she then stated well bring it to me and I'll keep it up here. And I said what? I'm not a child. And then I decided to take my business elsewhere. I hope something is done about this situation because no one deserves that kind of treatment. Thanks for your time and consideration. Should you need to contact me my name is Alvin Willis and my phone number is [protected]. My email is [protected]@muleriders. saumag. edu.

Dollar Tree coupon acceptance

On Sunday, Nov 11th, I visited the DOllar General #5444 (Ledbetter shopping Center). I had coupons for the itms I was purchasing. The cashier was having issues with the coupon scanning and called the manager (I assume). The manager never once even looked at the coupon, but immediately said they couldn't accept it, and just walked away.

As a customer, I need the employees to KNOW why they are denying a coupon and not just say "i can't take it." In many cases, if the coupon is EXACTLY for the correct item, I expect them to take care of the customer and report the issue to your technology department.

My career field consists of updating computer systems software and services. I never know when there is an issue until someone reports it to me. Once I receive the report, I can make changes to my new update to resolve their issue, I KNOW THIS IS NOT HAPPENING AT THIS DOLLAR TREE, AS WELL AS MANY OTHER LOCATIONS and it should be, versus just turning away customers.

PLease help, this is occurring too frequently
Mrs. McCoy

Dollar Tree rude cashier

I was shopping at the store in Farmington Hills, Michigan today buying glasses. The cashier on register 3 was extremely rude and didn't seem to want to wrap all the glasses and sent me to a line that was closed because that cashier was going home. While ringing me up the one on #3 kept running her mouth to the other cashier who's name is Michelle on front of everyone. I know Michelle has worked at this store a long time and this other girl is new. It's my right for employees to treat customer and other employees the way she did.

Dollar Tree the condition of a store

This is second time that I have written to you about a Dollar Tree... This store is so nasty and filthy that it is not fit for people to be in it.. The store looks like it has never been vacuumed, the aisles are always cluttered, if there is no room on a peg for merchandise, the employees just dump items on the bottom shelf.. This store is never clean and the employees act like it is no big deal... This store should not be opened for business... Someone from Corporate needs to come into this store and clean it up! We of this neighborhood should not have to go into this store and shop... Will someone please go into this store unannounced and look at it! You will be shocked! This store should not be associated with the Dollar Tree name.. Do something about this nasty store..Store #301

Dollar Tree cashier attitude

I was at Dollar Tree #1559 in Venice Florida this morning. I explained to the cashier my purchase of several ceramic cups did not need to be wrapped, and that she could simply set them in the box as I did not have far to go. She responded with "well they are your problem once you leave anyway. Use patience with me because I am not feeling well and I know that's not your problem but yes it is". While I should have called for a manager immediately, I was so shocked someone serving the public could be so rude. She was an older lady with blond short hair and glasses. I did not take time to get her name. There was no excuse for her rudeness, which began with me while she was still checking out the customer in front of me.

I was completely pleasant which is why I did not immediately ask for the manager. She was rude to the person in line before me and after me. patience had nothing to do with it. One in her position should not be making a comment as she did to any customer. And I might add, if you were not there, why do you feel the need to keep commenting on something you know absolutely nothing about?

Update by Samantha0922
Nov 13, 2017 1:50 pm EST

No. The rudeness was the comment that I better have patience with her because she was not feeling well and although that was not my problem, it was. I could have dropped the box and broke every piece and it would have been my fault. I have no issue accepting that (and everything made it home safely I might add). If you were not there to hear the tone she used, how can you possibly know by only reading one part of what was said to me?!

Dollar Tree sunday's newspaper

Purchased three newspapers from the dollar tree on 13 november 2017 and all of the coupons were missing. Called the store and the cashier said there was nothing she could do. How about refund my money. I told her I had my receipt. She still said there was nothing she could do. So there are clearly people there taking the coupons out of the paper and the store is still selling them to customers and when we call to get our mone back they claim there is nothing they can do. Poor customer service!

Dollar Tree lack of customer service

On 11/11/17 at about 5pm, I was checking out at the dollar tree on hwy 98 in hattiesburg, ms. The cashier was having a conversation on her cell phone so loud that she could be heard at the back of the store. When I asked her did she think it was inappropriate to be on her phone while working, she got an attitude and said that she was on the phone with someone about work. She was clearly on the phone with her mom talking about thanksgiving. Instead of apologizing, she acted as if she did nothing wrong and proceeded to argue with me in front of other customers. I went back the next day to speak with the store manager and show her the video and she also had a rude attitude and acted as if her worker hadn't done anything wrong. I will definitely not be returning to this store. Their customer service skills are less than poor.

This seems to be happening in a lot of the stores. I had a similar experience with rude employees, including the store manager, recently at the store in Prestonsburg, Ky that I just posted a complaint about. I honestly think these store managers have no accountability for their actions or their employees actions.
