Dollar Tree condition of store

I live in Lebanon Missouri, I would think that owners of stores would be required to do upkeep on their parking lots but evidently not. The store has years of cigarette butts and trash out front, they really need to sweep it. It is nasty and looks horrible. The previous small town that I lived in always took great care with their lot, the one in Lebanon is an embarrassment.

Dollar Tree customer service/return policy when the error is the company error

I had placed an online order for multiples of 1 item as my local store only had 3 and I did not have time to run to multiple stores across the county. I even paid the extra to ship in time for the needed date. A package was received according to the time it should have been which impressed me- however it wasn't even close to the item I ordered. I spent 32 minutes on hold waiting for a representative to answer, when I did, he was very rude. In the end, I was told I would first need to drive to a store and return the item I received. Then call back to corporate and they would then refund my money. He then asked if I wished to have it exchanged instead and I asked can you deliver it in time for the needed date and he said "not even close". So now, even though I was trying to avoid the travel, I have to go to a store, return the item, then call back and hope they refund the money for the 11 items I ordered. Then if I choose to use the same items, I have to drive to multiple stores in the county anyway. At this point I'm ready to pay the extra $3 on each item just to get the right items at a better reputable service store. Crossing my fingers the store I go to knows the return policy and doesn't fight me on it, and that when I call corporate back and wait 30 minutes I get my money back.

Dollar Tree filthy store.

This store needs to be inspected. The front of the store, including the doors have never been cleaned. It is filthy and dirty. Entering the store is filty, nasty and dirty floors. This store is unorganized with boxes constantly in the aisles which is unsafe. It is about time someone do something about this store. It has been this way for a long time.
Thank You!

Dollar Tree employee

On January 29th 2019, as I went inside the store, that's when the employee came to me lying to me that I came in with a child when he saw I came in by myself. He force me out the store for no reason as well stop without an cause. He needs to be fired and the district manager needs be held accountable for negligence not returning my call. These stores need to be close down for giving me bad treatment.

Dollar Tree incorrect change returned to me

As I was checking out I recieved the incorrect change. My bill [protected] [protected]) was $9.86. I handed Dillen my $20 bill. (I know it was a $20 as I had just come from my bank.) Dillen handed me .14 cents.
I was told I had given a $10 bill (which I had never had) so I was not owed any more change.
I left the store very upset, and short my $10.

Dollar Tree manager linda walker - bad!

My fiancee and I Went to the store February 2nd on the way home from work to grab a bag of cheese on February 3rd we both went back into the store, Due to the cheese that we bought being 2 months old expired in December. The cashier at the time was doing the best she could she had almost 20 in' one line with the no help. The manager came in very rude to the other customers including myself. Said that we better not be causing a ruckus in here not apologize to the to me just handed me some quarters and told me to get out of her store or saying sorry to all the people in line about to walk out. The manager failed to tell the cashier she was going on Break. So the cashier had me going from the Back of the store to the front trying to locate the manager to the point where she asked my fiance to go out to the manages car due to us not being helped, An elderly lady at the cash register meeting assistance from a manager with their drawer And another 15 behind that Lady. We do not blame cashier at all she was trying to hold her own without crying but with how much she was trying to do. There was many customers getting upset with the fact that no one knew where the manager was. If that was the only employee in the store that was slumped the manager should have least informed the cashier that she was going on break. So my fiance has to get her out of her car walks back in and then she still takes 10 minutes coming in and says she was on her break regardless of what needed to be done. Shove some quarters in my face and told me to get out did not apologize wants for me receiving moldy cheese that was expired. Or offer her associate any assistance. Many customers saw her attitude and were walking out behind me. Another woman that purchase something with her children got back in lying to buy something else and at this point grabbed what she needed and handed the cashier her money and walked out because of how long long this took. I am very shot from how I wish treated, How all the other customers in fact treated with respect and how poorly that cashier was treated when just needed help. My fiance tried to ask for the mangers name before we left and she said it's all my shirt isn't it Linda Walker.. I honestly was gonna go right there return the cheese and just inform them that is expired to please remove it before any other customers see this period but after that incident not being treated with respect and having a cashier not have their bosses help them that is something that needs to be looked at and immediately. Please. A customer outside is asking me what was going on before they went in and decided to leave before even going to buy anything because of how chaotic it looked in there. Everybody has bad days I'm sure Linda may have had one as well but she shouldnt take it out on her employee that was busting her butt please nor the customers. We were there 45 mins to return on bag of cheese and the customers in line when we arrived were still there we we left but 2 of them and more walking out..

Dollar Tree Management

I was told that management at the Fallon store, made another employee cry. When I heard about this I knew all to well the feeling, because I too was made to feel the same way.in fact I had a nervous break down on the spot, and went directly to the hospital. It was so bad that I could no longer work there due to high stress levels, and anxiety. I was ask by the GM Tom, for me to keep notes in regards to Marcia's work ethics, as well as her erratic behavior towards employees. Notes were taken, and notes were given directly to Tom. When Tom received my notes in regards to this matter I was told that we were to give her chance.. Reason given was that there was to much money already invested in her. Meaning all the time spent in CA. I had tears in my eyes the day I left work. I loved my time working as freight manager for the company. I have never felt so belittled in my life let alone at work. Marcia says to me one day that if and when she was to have a seizure I was to by no means, make an emergency call, nor report it to home office or 911.. I asked why and she says I'm not allowed to drive because of the seizures I have. I told her that I wasn't going to be able to do that for her. That I would have to report it. From that day forward she made working with her unbearable. Shortly after I quit. I regret having to quit my management position. Last but not least after handing in my two week notice I was told that it was never submitted. She made it to look as if I walked off the job, which isn't true. This is how the manager treats her employees at this store location.

Jana, thank you for sharing your post and experience. Yes i was another employee that was so frustrated i ended up crying. I know i can make mistakes and not clear at times what my assignment is or even think i do understand, but ended up doing wrong things. At any rate no one should feel belittled. I felt like a was being treated like an idiot and like i purposely was being defiant. Anyone that knows me, knows that is not how i am.

I was on loan from another store to try to help out while this store was able to hire/train more employees. Unfortunately, i only lasted a week. I asked a couple of times if i could return to the store i came from, but was asked to stick it, so i continued on. I don't want to return there. The rest of the staff are awesome, they treated me well and helpful to me. If would be wonderful to have them working in our store, these ladies are such hard workers!

It would appear there is one common denominator here that several employees have quit, including other management. Hopefully, the upper management will figure things out and get that store running great with the employees that are left before they decided to move on too. It's amazing how well respect towards one another can go.

I hope your feeling better and on the road to recover. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but realize you were a strong person for walking away and taking care of you.

Not sure why no one has contacted you with your concerns. I will post a number here that can be called to file a complaint/concerns. It is to Human Resources under the "Speak up line" for Dollar Tree.

Janet, thank you for sharing your story. Yes that would be myself that end up so frustrated i ended up crying. My boss had me on loan to help the Fallon store. I only lasted a week before be treated like i'm an idiot and purposely defied .her. There seems to be a common thread here if several employees have quit including management. Hopefully the upper management will get it figured out soon.

There is a number to call to file a complaint to Human Resources. This would be helpful if the complaints were filed this way. It's call the "Speak up Line"

Dollar Tree management

On 02/01/2019 I stood in a VERY long line for 6-8 minutes waiting to turn my application into upper management. When the cashier handed the manager (she never introduced herself, so excuse me for not knowing her name) my application she wasn't very friendly. I said "Hello, how are you?" she dryly replied "Hello." She looked over my application in the middle of the sales floor near the cash registers. She then laughed as if something was funny & said "This is Pennsylvania" as if I didn't know what state i resided in. She then said "I'm going to let you know I'm only starting you with $8.35." I then replied "Even with all my years of experience?" She then replied "Yes. You're lucky I even got it raised to that. It used to be $7.25! You must be from NY?" I replied "Yes" and she chuckled to herself. She then said "Yeah $8.35." I simply said "Okay thank you" and walked away. As a previous manager myself, she handled the situation in a disgusting manner. I left the store and cried, because I am a mother of two trying & a face of your company stepped on my pride & crumbled the little bit of dignity I had left. Laughing in someone's face who is trying to find a job is rude and if this is the type of "characters" you hire to run your establishment I don't want to be apart of such bafoonery.

Dollar Tree coastal bay confections candy

There is a bandaid inside my candy bag!

There is a bandaid inside my candy bag!

I bought this bag of candy today with some other items and when I opened up my first bag of candy I noticed the bandaid inside the sour neons bag. I have not opened the bag yet and will not. This is totally unacceptable and needs to be resolved immediately. My wife is pregnant and got sick to her stomach at this disgusting site. How did this bag even make it to the store floor?!? How the hell did it pass inspections or anything of that sort. I have never seen this kind of thing in my life.

Dollar Tree terrible customer service with store manager

On saturday 2/2/19 I decided to go to this dollar tree by my house for cough drops because I had strep. I ended up getting cough drops an a bunch of school supplies so I was in line 2 times because I kept adding more. I recently have been diagnosed with a disease where I need to take steriods everyday so it lowers my ammune system; therefore I get sick all the time. I also need a hip replacement because of my bone disease, so it is difficult for me to walk. I forgot I needed a lighter for my candles at home so I grabbed one at checkout because the ones I have at home you need to push down hard and my bones are too weak so I wanted to get an easier one. The ones I have at home are from the dollar tree on altamont ave in schenectady and they have never given me issues, always friendly. The cashier asked me if I was 18 or older and I said yes but she didnt believe me and said I need an id. She was very rude about it too. I had no issue grabbing my id from the car but I simply stated ive never been id'd before; at any dollar tree, walmart, target ect. My boyfriend and best friend are both supervisors for grocery stores, like price chopper and hanaford and they dont need to id so im assuming this is a policy not a law. I also looked it up online. I simply stated that to them that nobody else ids and I wanted to know if it was a law because me and my friends have never been id'. And they did not like that so they came up with every reason to deny this sale to me. I did not have an issue going to the car but since I was sick and having trouble walking I asked the cashier can I just get a big lighter then, not a hand held one that you would smoke with, its for my candles at home. I was also unsure if my id was in the car because I was with a friend and usually its in my car and we took their car. The store manager anthony turned around and said no and the cashier said no we need an id. Again I had no problem getting one but they were so rude about it and disrespectful I tried fighting it. I went outside in -5 degree weather and snow and grabbed my wallet. I was going to leave but I said screw it im gonna prove that im not underage and they should not treat customers like that. I did not have my makeup on because I was so sick that day so I looked younger than I am. I decided to bring in my college id, and my high school id which both have my dob on them and picture of me, I also showed him my new york state driver's id. He said that he didnt feel right selling it to me even though I showed 3 forms of id and he said it seemed weird. Who fakes 2 school id's and a new york state id? Yes I understand if I had a fake id but I showed 3 forms with my face on all of them with my dob. They gave me such a hard time and were very rude. The guy behind me said hes never seen such poor customer service and disrespectful manager. I asked the guy at the register if he was a manager and he said he was the store manager and named anthony. I told him I was going to contact corporate. I have never been so upset with a company before in my life and never have complained. Anyone who knows me knows I have the most patients in the world but this really made me upset. I have worked for tjmaxx, mcdonalds, different retail stores and restaurants since I was 14 and I am currently manager for a restaurant. Never have I ever been this mad to write a complaint about someone. Anthony should not be the store manager he was unproffesional, rude, and didnt know the policy very well and was looking for every excuse not to sell it to me, even when 3 forms of id were shown. I called customer service and a very nice lady spoke to me and said to fill out one of these forms because corporate will be back monday and someone will reach out to me, she was great at helping me at the moment. My email is [protected]@gmail.com and my phone number is [protected] if someone can get back to me on what the law or policy is and why he refused me with 3 forms of id's. I understand if the law for lighters is 18 or 21 in new york and you need id but I showed id and they still refused me just because he didnt like that I challenged his ability to tell me the policy and law. I will never shop at another dollar tree again this infuriated me especially working in customer service as a manager. They may be the best stocked out of all dollar trees but have the worst customer service. Thank you
-maria

Dollar Tree employee greeting policies

hi, I am a us military combat veteran wounded in active duty and permanently disabled because of it. I cannot drive a car and as such I must walk to the local dollar tree to shop and because of my epilepsy and other medical needs as well as carrying shopping bags with me so that I don't waste paper or plastic bags so I carry a very small backpack with my medications and other things inside. Today however after shopping many times here at the dollar tree in willits California and NEVER being asked before! A young dollar tree employee working the cash register with dark hair and glasses forced me to remove my bag and leave it with him just to shop there like I'm done common criminal or homeless bum off the street. I fought for freedom in this country and what he just did was like draconian law and it cannot stand! I am upset and really close to reporting to the better business bureau and using my influence here in town to let everyone know how people are treated there. It's a sollar store not the white house and shakedowns by thugs is not necessary. You don't make women leave their pocketbooks or purses at the door with employees to do as they please with them so why take my small bag? You can email me a reply at [protected]@gmail.com with an answer I'm looking forward to hearing from you thank you..

Dollar Tree cashback scam!

Today they double charged me, allowed me to use my card. Took money off card. My card was then declined because the cashier ran it a second time, for no apparent reason, completely depleting the money off of my card!

Then asked me for more CASH! I said no! I wanted my money back, that was not acceptable. I was then told, They could not issue the money back on the card. Then come to find out, they took CASH off my card even though I did not ask for cashback transaction.

I am now $35 short for the SIX items I walked out of the store with. 6 ITEMS! AND I WAS CHARGED $35!

The management then refused to give me a Name & Working number to her boss. Still have not found that. And she had one of her cashiers get in my face and physically push me out of the store, Because I tried to call them out on their scam.

I was told to leave. I told the lady that pushed me i was not talking to her, and the manager then stated, "I don't fing care how you shut her up, just make her fing b quiet!" I was then agan pushed and told to leave.

Just be cautious. Know EXACTLY how much your purchase should be. Because these ladies are SLICK!

Dollar Tree employees

I believe there is harassment going on in this store. If could, please contact me asap. [protected], or by e-mail, [protected]@gmail.com. There are 3 employees there and they are all related. They are trying to get one manager out of there so one of them could be put into that position. They don't do there work, always smoking with the owner/manager. Try to tell the owner/manager and she doesn't do anything about it, try to tell the district manager and he does nothing about it either. One of the three is harassing my daughter, ( I am writing this without my daughters and husbands knowledge as they both work there.) calling her a [censored], talking about her to other employees. I would like something to be done if not I will go to the BBB, something will be done about this.

Dollar Tree no first aid kit available for in-store injury

I'm sorry I've taken so long to write. I have a suggestion that might benefit and store and also your customers.

Last Sunday I was at Dollar Tree Store #1924 on Lincoln in Anaheim. After I paid for my purchase, I picked up one of my bags, and unfortunately, it was so heavy, I dropped the bag and the all of the bottled drinks not only spilled out, but landed on my toes. I screamed bloody murder. Fortunately the store manager heard me and asked if I was all right. I said no. I limped to the bench behind me so I could take care of my foot. It was throbbing and the skin broke. There was a lump forming and it was starting to bruise.

I asked for my ice and she said there was none available. Also she said she was sorry but there was no first aid kit available either. I was quite surprised. Was I the only customer ever in a Dollar Tree Store that had ever been injured in all these years that there was no need for a first aid kit. She did offer to call the paramedics. I felt that if I just got home to put ice on it, it would be enough. My toe was not smashed and thought it would be all right. Since I had several bags, she said I could make several trips back and forth and I looked at her with probably a dumb look in my face. I said I was parked in one of the handicap spaces and that many trips with my limp was not feasible. She said she would take out the bags for me, for which I was grateful.

I am a senior citizen and I'm glad it wasn't worse. Maybe I was partly to blame to not tell the clerk to not overload my bags. But it might have been helpful if she noticed that I was not a youngster and maybe I shouldn't be carrying too many heavy things in one bag. It's hard enough we can't take the carts out, and I understand the reasoning behind it. I noticed there was only the clerk and the manager but maybe a clerk could offer to help take out the bags for an elderly person. They didn't know I was in a handicap spot, but using the cart would have been helpful also.

I guess if the injury were a lot more damaging, yes, the paramedics should have been called. But for minor (or not so minor) incidences a first aid kit should be available.

Thank you for listening to my complaint.

I didn't think about taking a picture until this morning. There is still a bit of a bruise left and still a small bump.

Dollar Tree online purchase

I had to order a case of plastic clear tumblers since not one dollar tree within a 20 mile radius had them available. No big deal ordered them and got a confirmation that they would be there by this last saturday. I am upset since its been over a week and I still havent recieved my cups. An there hasnt been any weather related issues for them not to get here. I was hoping to make personal gift cups for my daughters 2nd birthday, but it looks like I just blew money and will have all these cups for no reason. I am very upset and displeased that has taken so long to receive cups. I will not be purchasing anything off line from you again.

Dollar Tree customer service

I was in store 4414 Oxford ohio on January 27, 2019 at 2:15 pm I overheard a cashier state that the manager left the store to go eat, leaving the two cashiers in store by their selves. I feel this was not appropriate behavior for a manager, what if one of them needed something that they weren't able to do their selves or there was an emergency. I believe the managers name is Bobby,

Dollar Tree customer service

I did not say anything the fist time staff was rude at the dollar tree in Hattiesburg MS at Turtle Creek Crossing. But it happen again Last night. Last night my husband and I were in line of at least 15 customers and only 1 line open. My husband asked if they had any help, yes he was frustrated at standing in line, but others were also. Lady came to open lane, which He asked for, and he goes to lane, she tells him to step to the back of line. Yes it upset us, we left our products and left the store. We like Dollar Tree, even hoping to get one closer to us someday. We live in Magee. 45 miles away. My name is Kay Morgan. My number is [protected].
Thank you.
