Our puppy's trolley cable snapped into yesterday he ran out in the road while we were at work and was hit by a car. We had to pay $1500.00 in emergency car and amputation last night. I am very upset about this product failing us. I need someone to reach out to me immediately. I have dr bills and everything to present to you. My email is [protected]@gmail.com

Dear Jack and also Trolls,

Huntsville City Law forced us to put our dog on the trolley system because he was getting out of our chain link fence while we were at work. I have copied the law for you, we are not irresponsible we are just a working family who was following our city ordinances. Only money I will be getting is a refund on this product, but I will however leave this post up despite your ugly comments in hopes that no other dogs are hurt due to this ordinance and product.

New Law in the city limits of Huntsville, AL

New pet safety rules

All animals left unattended outside are required to have access to clean, fresh potable water and proper food, to have a structurally sound, water- and wind-proof sufficient size shelter, and a trolley system or runner attached to a pulley on a cable run or a minimum of 200 square feet chained link kennel run.

Since Council approved the ordinance in October 2018, the City provided a generous grace period to allow pet owners ample time to comply with these new ordinances. Beginning March 1, 2019, these new ordinances will be enforced by Huntsville Animal Services officers.

if this is in fact true, I am sorry and this is horrible. however. the intent of that product is not for your dog to be on the whole day while you’re at work. it’s intended for short periods. and you’re pet is to be supervised at all times while using this device. plus it’s kinda messed up to use that anyways.

Dollar General opening the store at the designated time listed on the door is 8:00 am

The dollar general in morongo valley is still not open right now, 6/5/19 and its 8:421AM. The clerk was waiting outside for the manager to arrive, she stated the manager was running late: suggestion: give this on time clerk KEYS to open. Many cars in lot, and a preveyor, he stated that this happens all of the time. I went to Circle K instead of dollar general and I mentioned this to the clerk waiting on me and she stated "happens alot". What's up with that?

I need contact from you to advise me when I should go to your store to shop, is it just a roll of the dice... go there and see it it's open. Weird way to run a business, and remember your not the only game in town, and ecommerce will take you down fast with this kind of service. Unbelievable!

Um .. No one can access DG's funds unless they know the codes to do so, duh.. If others want to be rude bc a customer expressing how the feel no matter what the situation is, I am certainly prepared to dish it right back. No i do not agree that just a cashier should have keys. But this could have been handled more properly. If SM knows they are go in to be more then a few minutes late, then proper channels should have taken place immediately .. For instance contacting the ASM and or key holder to atleast come in to open and get the store ready... So how bout u shove a sock in it and I stfu and stop treating customers as u just so did.. Customer is number 1 in any business a$$#$!£

Dollar General employees

I shop locally at three Dollar General Stores. Each has this same problem: The shelves are unstocked, messy, unidentifiable items and prices. Each store has a "supervisor" or "manager" and one (sometimes two) clerks.
One of the three has a "working" manager. Two of the three have polite clerks. Three of the three needs a FULL TIME STOCK CLERK. Two of the three need managers who stay IN the store, not outside smoking and talking on their phones. One of the three has overworked clerks. My total opinion is: NOT SHOPPING THERE any more until you get enough staff to stock shelves, straighten stock and cruise the store helping people instead of enjoying the work day on the curb.

By the way, the aisles are a fire hazard. Wait til someone falls trying to get around the stock cart.

I use to shop at Dollar General, on Dunn Ave., in Jacksonville, FL. #3139. The employee named Mike is awful. I have always been nice and polite to everyone that works in this store. I don't know what Mike's problem is. When I get in line to check out, several times, Mike has closed his register, if I'm next in line. I don't know if it is a Black and White thing.
I'm White, he is Black. Once he closed the register, as I was walking up. A little black man ask him to find something for him. Mike found it and then opened up the register again. I feel so uncomfortable shopping there. I love Dollar General. So, now I drive a few miles out of my way, to shop at another DG. The employees at this one are great. #13628. I think I got the store # right on Dunn Ave. It is near Lem Turner Road. Thank You for your time.

Dollar General fire hazard

Your Weyers Cave Virgina location has been constantly leaving large carts unattended for hours in multiple walkways and isles during business hours. You can not get to the merchandise and if there was to be a fire to any other emergency you would not be able to escape due to this. I work in manufacturing and our fire marshal has told me that is a safety issue and is illegal. Also, your managers of this location set in the office for hours on end and do not want to help stock shelves or run the register. If you manage to knock on the window and get one off their [censored] to attend and unoccupied register with a line of people then they get an attitude.

I went to DG to make a purchase, it was $43.34 with tax. I gave the cashier 3 $20.00 bills, she gave me back $1.66. I immediately told her the change was incorrect and she said I gave her 2 $20.00's and a $5.00. She aggressively told me I was incorrect. I left the store, and called back to speak to the manager who told me she would not give me the number...

Dollar General poor customer service

Today (May 31, 2019 at 16:46:23), I visited the Dollar General at 990 Kildaire Farm Road in Cary, NC. I purchased several semi-heavy items (bleach and other cleaning supplies). When I arrived at the cash register, the cashier completely ignored me and another customer behind me as we were standing in line. Another employee had to tell her to check us out.

The cashier asked if I wanted a bag for my items. I said, "yes". She immediately copped an attitude and slammed the scanner on the counter. All I could say was WOW! I guess she didn't want to double bag items or even put them in one bag for that matter.

At the very least, she needs to lose her job. It was obvious this was not her first time acting in such an unprofessional and unacceptable manner. There are to many unemployed people, who would be grateful to be employed by Dollar General.

I did not have a problem with my products, but the customer service was atrocious. I guess a gift card would suffice.

There are certain things that should be understood before you take a job in a customer service field. Foremost is that it's your job to provide service to the customers, among other job responsibilities as outline prior to your hiring and during training. It is also your job to interact with the customers in such a way that they want to come back to the store and continue to spend money (EG, GOOD customer service). If you can not perform the basic required skills of the job you accept then yes, you should be fired. It's nothing personal. You either do your job or get fired. No one should feel like they have a right to employment if they're not going to do their job as their company requires. That isn't good for the company or the customers and it's unfair to the rest of the employees that have to pick up the bad employee's slack.

Dollar General they fired me my first day

So Wednesday 5/22/2019 I got called into work, my manger Roger ask if I can come into work from 2:30 til 11:00pm. I said "yes sir" I came in at 2:00 and told my other manger, the one that fired me. I was going to look around and get to knowing where everything is and he said okay so at 2:30. I clock in and get called to the office and he says we have to let you go! I was to short of money which in the beginning I didn't have the exact amount to begin with anyway. I didn't get the proper training they literally just threw me on the register and told me the basics. They didn't care that I felt overwhelmed he just smirked.

Dollar General customer service

I have shopped at the same dollar general for 6 years and I am in there at least once a week if not everyday it is the one on N. Arkansas in Russellville AR. Today is the first time I had a horrible experience. The manager her name was Bree was extremely rude when I asked for her to honor a tag on a product. The tag clearly stated that the sale was on a 4-12 count of the product and what I brought to the register was an 8 count. In my experience regardless of the product she should have honored the label. She basically called me stupid and belligerent, even though I was not either. My whole point was that if they were not going to honor the label then they needed to contact their vendor and let them know to fix the label. She degraded me in front of a whole line of customers and it was extremely uncalled for. I have loved this store for 6 years and know most of the people who work in there. I understand she is new but being rude is not the way to keep customers or her job. As much as I love the store and the people I have come to know that work there I don't think I will be back to a dollar general for awhile. There are plenty of other cheaper places to shop it was just convenient. Thank you

Dollar General service

I went in to the Dollar General in Rayle Georgia got my items and was standing in checkout line. The lady in front of me who was trying to pay for her items had the manager come to her and start threatening her and her son. I don't really know what it was all about but I do know that the manager was out of line. You should not bring you personal stuff to work with you and especially when you have a store full of customers. I sat down my items and walked out and as long as that manager is there I will not go back even though that means I have to drive and extra 15 minutes to the nearest store.

Dollar General manager telling me and others she's going to stop these clearance sales because it's aggravating

Date /time of incident: May 21, 2019 @8:00am
Complaint:
Manager took all the seasonal sale items and put them in plan sight behind the register. I was there at 8:00am. When I asked about the Easter items she was sassy and rude stating that she was gonna put an end to this sale thing. (? (Can she do that?...) That she was tired and aggravated with all these "shoppers" coming for the discounted items on sale. (Why?) I specifically came to the store early in order to get some of the Easter items on sale. I was excited and happy I got there right when it opened up.
She could have at least took the items off of the sale floor. Instead of taunting patrons/customers. I don't know what her problem was or is but she definitely needs to have an attitude adjustment.
I frequent this store and she is always very rude to me every time. Making comments then walking away. Her negative attitude towards me and other customers attempting to get sales items is very rude and nasty. Also one other employees follows her lead in being ugly as well.
I swear I'm never rude, mean, or disrespectful. The other cashier that I see sometimes is very friendly and told me she needs to go shopping with me. I like her. The other two don't say hey or bless you when I sneeze. That perturbed me too. Gheez.
Store number: #13846

I was under the impression that if it's on the sales floor then it's still for sale. Is behind the register still in the sales floor? And that the manager doesn't have the authority to take items and taunt customers with them. Does she?. It just seemed wrong and spiteful in a way. I didn't get mad. I simply paid for my items and went on my way.

Maybe she isn't retail material if she can't handle herself in a different manner.
Why look at people who come for sales as a nuisance ? Instead have the store set up where there is no problem. Use the shoppers to do your dirty work. Have fun with it. Enjoy your job instead of getting aggravated when you see new faces coming in the store. Ghezz there are ways to make everything better including a part of your job you despise. Make the best of the situation.
Figure out how to make it work to your advantage. Work smarter not harder.

Next time I'll have proof. I have no reason to lie. It just upsets me mainly bc she and her coworker treat me and others, that do indeed come and seek sales and coupon, like trash. I'm not crying I'm just tired of her attitude and her coworker treating people how they want and she did say she was done with that sales crap and she was aggravated by the customers that come for them. Yes. She was gonna put a stop to it. Sorry, I'm human and needed to vent at least some people replied. Granted not in my favor but I'll take it. Thank you for your feedback.

Update by A. Lee 1
May 22, 2019 7:01 pm EDT

It was all true. I have no reason to lie. I'm sorry my complaint offended the "manager" that commented. It made me a little mad bc the last time I came in there she and I were telling another customer about the sales bc the other customer didnt know about them and the manager was the one who started the conversation.
I understand if that was the case of the Easter items going back or whatever they have to do with them. But ...nonetheless she doesn't have to be nasty to me. I buy items that aren't in sale.
I'm sorry that yall find my complaint was and pathetic but I'm always nice and never cause trouble. No need for her and the other cashiers rudeness. And that's still a fact. That is all.
Actually no that's not.
There is merchandise behind the register and it in fact is for sale . Anne that's a fact also.

Dollar General unstocked store, limited cashier help

I go to the store on Mohawk St in Utica Ny. I have yet to see full stocked shelves especially product I go in for, , , Have waited in line several times for a cashier to appear behind the counter . Coming from a retail backround as both employee to manager this is sickening. Had my District Mgr, ever saw what I have seen in this store as well as others I have been in I would have been fired.
Dont you think its time to clean up your act in these stores with product and quality emplyees?Or dont you really care about this disgusting way to run a business.

Dollar General unethical behaviour

Manager with a "Horrible attitude" in front of all customers. Talking on her cell phone with a family member about her auto insurance being cancelled soon. Her daughter is on the policy and doesn't have a job. Therefore, she cannot pay for the auto insurance and asked the family member to get her a job. Like really? All this i heard and everyone else in the line waiting to be assisted, their faces were like, no way! Upset people. It's my best Dollar General store i like to go to but she is super rude and ghetto! One time i walked in and she was TALKING LOUD telling them that you didn't do this or that and i was here till late helping out and how come you didn't finish and went on and on, OUT LOUD! You should also look into how many refunds they process. When i pay for my products and when i get home, i'm missing 1 item. I'm pretty sure on a daily basis one item, each customer can really place a good amount of $$ in their pockets at the end of the day! I went back that time and they said NO that it wasn't there. I came back home without it ! My father as well, he was on his CELL phone talking when he was paying. The Manager, same manager i'm talking about, rung up the only 1 item my dad purchased. Manager saw he was talking on his cell and THOUGHT he was distracted, charged his DOUBLE thinking he will NOT realize it. He new the exact amount including tax so she when he asked her, she right away said, oh sorry blah blah..and adjusted it. I bet you anything if my dad wouldn't of said anything, she would've refund it and keep the $$. I'm not going there anymore as there is too much drama and she speaks so loud that everyone in the store screaming, cursing and all when she is on the cell. Please send a mystery shopper and you will see what we have to put up with as a customer...a PAYING customer! I've noticed now after reading all the complaints of other customers that it's not ONLY me. I will report this to the BBB and to State Attorney's General as well. Dollar General is only hiring un professional ppl and very rude! One other time I was there and there was this customer stating that the manager scammed her brother for money. This lady accusing the manager was his sister and is the caregiver of this man that was scammed. This Manager arrives to work with a top of the line Lexus auto. Always smoking outside with other employees. Other employees always telling us that they are quitting because of the Manager there. I just don't understand why and how does this Manager still have a job? Dollar General need to pay a better salary in order to find better management and employees. Never again will i be going there, today was my last day!
This was today, receipt states that it was 5/20/19 @ 2:54 pm. I've noticed with all other complaints i been reading, many complaints in all other Dollar General as well. These stores need to be CLOSED DOWN. Here we are spending our hard earned money in Dollar General and we are scammed, listening to gossip from the Manager on her cell phone, smoking with 3 employees in front of the store when we arrive, , , , talking out of her lungs when speaking to her employees and stealing $$ from customers which are handicap. Items missing once we get home, we go back and they say that it's not there but yet it's listed on my receipt. I will go back to Walmart and pay a little more and don't have to put up with all this drama in Dollar General stores. Anymore information you need, please email me. Thank you.

This particular employee has been rude, but me and my wife off while speaking, and generally lazy. I often visit this store, since it is near my home. This young girl seems to hate her job and dealing with people in general. I let it go at first. Hey, everyone has a bad day. This girl is just miserable and ride all the time. If she doesn't like dealing with people, maybe she should work somewhere else. I've found another store to stop at on my way home from work so I don't have to deal with her anymore.
