Dollar General sales, service

I am writing about Dollar General, in the 62895 area code. Wayne City, Illinois. I have been a customer for year's. In the last year or so, the people that work there, district manager, Barb, sales, Cheri, have turned into obnoxious, rude, uncaring people. If there is a problem, on my receipt, I show them, I am never right ( which I know I am ). The last 2 problems, happened in the last week. I was with a friend, we were shopping on Friday, the 14th, of June, for the clearance sale. We got the same cotton dress, in different sizes. The sale tag was on her dress. I got up to counter, showing her there was no tag on mine but, showed her the tag, on my friends. She went ahead, rang mine up for 6.00, instead of 5.00. I told her that she rang it up wrong. She said, that's your whole order, is 6.00. I said ok, thought you rung it up wrong. I get home, look at receipt, she DID ring mine up for 6.oo, also, my other items were on clearance, 2 puzzles, they should of been .50 each, not 1.00 each. They made 2.00 off of me. There is no going back and saying anything anymore, they say the register is right. the other incident was yesterday, Thurs, June 20th. I ran in to buy my diet Pepsi, it went from 3 for 8.00, to 3.85 per unit. I asked Cheri, if this was right, she got very rude, in saying, " we have nothing to do with the prices ". I am tired of being taken for a ride by these people. Although I know, you are going to side with them. I just want you to know, I am DONE shopping in Dollar General period. I added up, how much I have spent, in the last month, it is 169.49. I will take my money elsewhere. Btw, my friends dress was rang up at the 5.00 price, along with her clearance items being added up right. They put things in one isle for other clearance. You can go out on floor, finding the same item, same price ? Therefore, its not really on sale. SOMEBODY, is sure making some extra dollars off people. I live in apt complex. I'm not the only one, saying there are problems. I'm just DONE.

Dollar General The way you guys treat your employees

Tried getting my manager to take care of the horrible mice problem at store 12900 oh not to mention the maggots that are infested in the dog and cat food and cereal but she seems to think it's not a big issue... But I get terminated for going and saying goodbye to my dying grandma dollar general is by far a sick and twisted company with horrible dms and store managers oh and how do they expect us to take lunches when most of the time there's only one of us there? Oh that's right the store manager messes with payroll.

Look the real reason that they fired me was because I admit I was stealing money from the register and I was stealing food to feed my kid. But they say that is the real reason. The real reason is because I made a complaint. I made a complaint after I was fired.I needed money to feed my kids, and I admit I borrowed some money from the register. I say borrowed . They say stole. I say borrowed because as soon as I was going to have enough to pay back I would without anyone knowing. But they overlooked that I was the only one cleaning up the rat feces. They overlooked that I was the best worker. Also another coworker and I got into an argument. I threatened to slap her. They did not write her up, because I am the one that threatened to slap her. She started the fight.

Dollar General the manager donna mincey

Let's just say for instance, if they come in at 7:45 and get off at 2: 30 but it's busy and they end up working till 3 or 330 the next day the store manager (Donna mincey)makes them clock out for that hr that they worked for, and that's not right rather or not if they be over their money pay if Donna mince employees were on the clock working they should get paid for all the hrs they worked, it doesn't affect Donna mincey because she get paid salary she also threatens to fire workers or write them up when they are actually sick and have family emergencies on top of her having her husband and kids coming in the store working moving frait and putting up frait, in the passed month or so it's been several people quitting because of how they are being treated at that job and they didn't know who to talk to about it so they just rather quit two young ladies mother stopped their daughters from working there bc of how they been being treated etc also the assistant manager quit because of the way the district manager talked to her in a very rude way and their was nothing done about it they need to do better or they want have any workers or customers my advice to the workers me personally I would get some higher people involved because it's not right.

Dollar General milk

this is about the milk i bought from dollar general located in imperial pa.
i bought 8 gallons of milk in 2 consecutive weeks and they all were spoiled. I verified it after boiling them and they immediately started making milk curdles with cery bad smell. I informed Store manager and she asked me to contact customer relations and even after continuous follow up with customer relations for last 4-5 days my issue not resolved. I dont have all the receipts but i have images in my phone. Now i want your immediate attention as it is highly disappointing and irritating now. I want either refund or gift card of $30.

After continuous follow up with customer relations for 10 days, i got a call from district manager Dollar General who was very harsh and rude person and was not agreed to take the responsibility but when i asked him to send me all of this in email then he somehow agreed for returning 5 milk jugs.

Colver valley milk has a weird taste, I have bought milk there often and every time the same Gallon, half gallon. The same so now I go somewhere else to get milk,..what do they put in the milk to taste differently

I don’t know if this is a DG problem or Clover Valley problem. I bought a gallon of milk last night from Dunlap Iowa DG, it was awful I had to poor it down the drain. It had the weirdest taste

Dollar General store manager

Store 8565 Gordon, GA. The manager is very rude, (I've never seen one that rude). The selves are empty. The merchandise that is on the selves are not in the correct place.
The regional manager needs to visit that store because it is awful inside and out. The manager had here phone playing music loud. She also checked me out on her associates register. (She opened the drawer to get the cashiers register number). That is against policy. He needs to make a surprise visit.

Dollar General store hazards

The Dollar General Store in San Saba, TX. is a fire hazard/lawsuit waiting to happen. This store is in such disarray and clutter, it is impossible to get down some of the isles. My 3 year old, went to reach for a toy in between stacked milk crates full of clutter and was almost plummeted by falling boxes. The produce freezers today, which contained food for sale, were not cold at all. I wanted to buy frozen pizza for a quick dinner and the pizza inside the freezers were complete mush. Cockroaches and other insects are continuously found on shelves and throughout the store. There was a storm about a week ago and the floor was filthy with debris and dirty shoe prints from traffic in and out of the store, today I went inside and the same mess and filth was still caked all over the floor. This problem is not due to seasonal stocking of shelves, this is due to filth and laziness, this store has been in this condition for well over a year. Something needs to be done before someone ends up hurt, with food poisoning, and out of shear respect for customers.

Dollar General crystal city, mo store #01200 - disruptive manager need immediate attention!!!

There was a man with very disruptive behaviour who called himself a manager between 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. ( I checked out at 3:10 p.m.) He was hollering to the only cashier available about his work schedule while the line was backed up with over 7 customers. Supposedly he was not currently working. He made violent remarks to the cashier he was going to hit her. Was playing with a football smacking it back and forth with his hands at the time. His rude remarks caught myself and another customer wondering if we were in any danger or the cashier as she seemed to be professional no matter what. He seemed to be unstable . This was a very disturbing and scary shopping experience to say the least. After I got to the back of the store he came back with the football and asked if I was finding everything said something about football was something he should have done. I still feel I should have called the police but thought why wasn't the cashier doing anything but she had so many customers which I am sure you can verify that by the receipt and time frame this was all going on!

Dollar General customer service

I walked into the store on Broadway in Depew, NY at 8:56. I held the door for a woman who I expected to hear thank you from but instead she says you better hurry they're trying to close. So I walk in & I felt accosted immediately. This was the greeting "you have 3 minutes, no actually 2, no you have 1" I stayed for 60 seconds and left. It was 8:58.

Dollar General manager

I just went into the dollar General in Ravenna ky. to pick up a pre paid phone card n the manager there Charles proceeded to be very very rude saying they don't have them now I have been getting my phone cards there for 2 years and know they have them behind the counter. I am so tired of every time I go in there and he is working he is arrogant and rude. I will not be going back into that dollar store I will also tell my friends and family to also not go back into that store. Something needs to be done before he smarts off to the wrong person. I love the dollar store but I do not have to deal with that rudeness every time I go in there and he is working.

Dollar General service

First the two worker an older lady maybe in her 65 to 75 and and Guy very tall. They both work on monday the 17. Very rude. The lady start to said that dollar general dont takw internet coupon. Then she start to say in front of other customer. The store was pack. When she start to say. That my coupon are copys and fake. Both coupons had the same barcode numbers. ... The bar codes at the bottom of the coupon- where it is scanned at the register- are ALWAYS the same. Just like the bar code on EVERY Original Cheez-it box is exactly the same- so will their coupons. you are using more than one "like" coupon, your UPC codes WILL all be the same. They are coded to work for each product and dollar amount. However, there are numbers on them that will change with each one printed. This is how they insure that they are not getting ones that are copied.. Here is where you can find those numbers:

Printed from Coupons.com: There is a small barcode located under the expiration date. There is a different number for each one printed.
Printed from Smart Source: On the left side there is a pin number. There is a different pin number for each one printed. Update: Some of the ones printed from Smart Source may have the pin number located around the side.

did you know that each printable coupon prints with your IP computer address imbedded in it? It is in the wording around the coupon that borders it. SO YOUR CASHIER DONT KNOW THEY OWN COUPON POLICY. FOR SOME ONE TO SCREAM AT ME IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMER AND TELL ME MY COUPON ARE FAKE. REALLY. THEY DONT EVEN KNOW THEY JOB. OR HOW TO READ A COUPON IN TOP OF THAT. MAYBE I SHOULD START A CLASS ACTION LAW SUIT. HOW YALL PEOPLE MAKE CUSTOMER FELL AND HOW YALL ACCUSED CUSTOMER OF MAKEING FAKE COUPON.
I Hope the store manager will teach the cashier the proper way to handle this type of situation in the future. I HOPE I NEVER AGAIN GET THIS RUDE STORE EMPLOYEE AGAIN. SOME ONE NEEDS TO TEACH THEM HOW TO READ COUPONS AND HOW TO TALK TO CUSTOMER. Dollar General caps/hats

This is a very discriminating in our area Wayne County North Carolina I'm stating throughout Wayne County North Carolina we once had caps that was Basics now they went to Hunting Fishing hats of those sorts beer caps most people in this area are not why do not hunt even the white guys do not wear these Hunting Fishing caps we normally have basic blue not high-gloss but basic blue Basic Black and basic Brown but I went to all the stores in the area and talk to some of the managers and they don't all of those anymore I repeat most people in this area at least 98% do not wear those caps most people in this area do not wear hunt fishing beer caps of the sort we were basic caps. Just wondering what is the problem with this I normally will buy one every two weeks or two but now I went through the area can I find a cap I read everybody have to start carrying evil that business to Walmart see if they possibly can help us normally they got a variety but we would love to get from my local store thank you. I talked with out. Please respond to this issue thank you again.

Dollar General checkout

On June 14, 2019, at 14:55 p.m., I visited the Dollar General Store #10089 at 1715 Connelly Springs Rd. Lenoir N.C.. One of the employees had brought their 4 to 5 year old child with them to work. This child had the scan gun and was scanning everthing in site while customers are trying to check out, me being one of them. I thought I would never get out of that store. The child was hitting keys on the register and climbing all over the merchandise. This is supposed to be a place of business, not a daycare. Other customers were complaining, but the employee did nothing. I will not be back if this behavior is going to continue.

Dollar General balloons

I went on Monday to the Dollar General nearest me on Groomtown Road in Greensboro and preordered and paid for balloons for my daughter's baby shower. The clerk told me they were out of plain balloons (I wanted 2 bouquets: a baby boy and 4 solids to go with each.) She suggested I buy a package from the shelves. I bought 2 and paid to have them all blown up; I do not remember for certain, but I believe they were 2 packages of 6 each. We agreed I would pick them up at noon today (Friday). When I arrived, they told me they were not blown up because I did not provide ribbon (No one mentioned ribbon when I purchased.). I bought the ribbon & 45 minutes later they handed me the blown up balloons loose together. Before I could buckle up my seat belt and leave the parking lot, 4 popped in the car. I returned to the store to complain. Their response: "What do you want to do; they left the store." I live 4 miles away; by the time I got home, only 5 of the solids had not popped. I will be taking what survives an hour from now to the shower in Durham. I have shopped in that store for the last 7 1/2 years. No more!

Dollar General trash

My complaint is about the trash blowing everywhere. The parking lot had a dirty diaper with feces ran over, I mentioned it to the clerk, his reply was I'm not picking it up. You came up here to our little valley and built 3 stores but yet you don't take any pride in your stores. The nicely landscaped parking lot is full of weeds and trash. I'm sure I'm speaking for our town, please clean it up and keep maintained. I'm also talking about the stores at 12006 Ca 178, Lake Isabella 93240

Dollar General account loaded digital coupons not working at register

6/10/19 I was at store Greenville Virginia #07497 and my digital coupons was not taking off at the register, the cashier had to do a price over ride. I showed the cashier my account using my mobile phone, that is why she over rode the item/s. transaction #[protected]

This happens quite often and it is embarrising due to others in line to be waiting on.

I shop for my father in law, mother, handicapped lady and several neighbors who can't get out much. Neither of their digitals worked either, so the cashier over road the items.

Today I was at a different store and it happened again with several items, that store is Staunton VA-Greenville Ave 24401.

This happens a lot, I am thinking of going somewhere else.

Dollar General an employee

I went into the Dollar General located by my house which by the way I never go there because it's farther away from Family Dollar. I just went to get juice and cigarettes I first walked in in the employee named Jack looked extremely irritated that I even came in the store when I went to the register to purchase my items I asked for cigarettes and he didn't say a wordHe just got the keys acting irritated and got my cigarettes out then Threw them in my bag that was on the bag holder with my other items so when he asked for my ID after he scanned the cigarettes and put them in the bag I kind of tossed it out him like he threw my cigarettes In my bag. He proceeded to say excuse me ma'am can you not do that I said excuse me this is the worst customer service ever I work in retail and you threw my cigarettes in the bag he said I toss them in the bag That's my job if you don't like it then don't shop here. So after that experience I won't ever shop there again he look like he was just extremely unhappy and made me feel really uncomfortable for asking for any assistance just wanted to Inform you guys have route up in employee you have working for you. This was at the dollar general located on us1 in cocoa Florida not sure of the address.

Dollar General rivet steel co jeans that are sold at dollar general

I bought 2 pairs of Jeans two days ago. My husband put on a pair went to work and this is what they look like after only having them on and hour.. I paid 12.95 for each of these pair of jeans and only a able to wear for less than an hour... I think dollar gwneral should at least make sure the stuff they sell are somewhat durable.. I will no longer buy work jeans from Dollar General..

$12.95? That's less than half of what decent jeans cost. What did you expect? Cheap crap made in sweatshops overseas Stop catering to foreign manufacturers and buy American any way . Even though they are made outside the US have you considered Levis? Ever hear of them? They last awhile!

Dollar General pet food sales sticker misplaced

For 12 years I have purchased all my pet food and products for 12 cats and 1 dog at the dollar store named below but as I am retired I need to restrict as many of my items as possible to when they go on sale and then purchase several weeks worth at a time and buy the 9-Lives when they are reduced to 3/1.00. I was glad to see 2 sale signs that were appropriately placed under the rows of cans as they have been for all these years so I bought 60 cans at I knew would be $20 and with the other 2 items would be in the mid-30's and knew when the 2 20's I had laid down weren't enough that something was wrong so when I saw I had been charged .45 I went back to the store and pointed this out to the clerk. We went back to the pet food and sure enough the sale tags should have been placed under the Forever brand which she promptly did, apologized and pretty much end of story. I wasn't about to hold up the line returning them even though had they been correctly marked I would have waited. I did see that under the large 3/1.00 numbers were small Forever letters so the only person at fault was whoever misplaced the sign. The $7 didn't matter as much as that I felt I was owed more than an apology as I have spent - and saved - a lot of money in that store over the years.
I suppose you can do with this as you wish and likely not a lot will change either way but I will always feel as if I was taken advantage of even if by mistake.

Dollar General lack of items on shelves

No longer have shopping options in Tomahawk Wi.
so it is a shame that the store will not keep the shelves stocked, keep the rolltainers out of the aisles so a customer can get through with their carts without having to move them.
Please appreciate the increase of business and accommodate the community. Or consider selling to a company that will.
The store is un kept and appears dirty. Shopping there is necessary for a lot of us, but not a pleasant
experience. realize help is hard to obtain, but getting someone in there to keep up with the demand is needed.

Dollar General cashier

Store #11869 Bloomington Springs, TN.
Same old story at this store. Lots of products that you go there to purchase are out of stock. Then when you get to the register there is always a line of people and only one cash register open or no one up there so you have to yell for someone to come out of the office or step outside to get one of the smoking employees to wait on you. Either way you have to wait. I have seen several people just lay their items down and leave.
