Dollar General truck driver on premises around 5:40 on 1/3/2020

I drove up to Dollar General in Terry, MS around 5:40 pm on 1/3/2020. I was approached by a truck driver and was told, not asked, to move my vehicle. I was waiting for some other customers to get into their vehicle and he approached my truck again telling to me move. I tried to explain that I was trying to safely allow others to get into their vehicle when he shouted that all the vehicles in the area had to be moved so that he could he the truck out of the parking lot. He was very impatient and I felt threatened by his actions—especially him beating on my vehicle. Needless to say, I left the store without making a purchase. I know that some drivers are contractors, but I felt the need to report this incident. Things could have escalated out of hand, had this been done to someone else.

Dollar General customer service

I just came out of store 🏬 # 13384. And this store has gone COMPLETELY DOWNHILL! I used to be able to come in and shop, and the Associates were very Friendly and would smile. This is not the first time at this store, among others, where I have gone in to purchase something, and the Customer Services were Horrible! Today, This (I am assuming about 26-30 yr. old) Young black with dread locks (that NEED To Be CUT OFF; as THEY ARE NOT WORKPLACE APPROPRIATE) Guy comes up to the register, ..doesn't even speak, doesn't Not Make Eye Contact;Just Starts ringing up my items. Then when I inadvertently picked up an item that was not on sale, he Huffs off and goes to get the sign that shows the item is not on sale, .. and comes back with his "ATTITUDE " and tells me it is not on sale. I said fine, that's ok; just take it off. He finishes ringing me out;... and No Thank You, No Have A Nice Day...Nothing;...Just Rudely Days "Get your bag. Which I did and Left. THIS STORE 🏬 IS BECOMING A HUGE PROBLEM. There is no Organization, The People Working here are NOT Friendly in the Least. The Whole STORE is a COMPLETE DISASTER! THIS store is still fairly new, and should NOT Be Looking Like This, And The People That you hire SHOULD BE MORE CUSTOMER FRIENDLY! There needs to be a HUGE CHANGE, in this store! He and the others in this store are the reason WHY I will not be back to shop here. Thank you for your time! Happy New Year. Sincerely

Dollar General store mgr

The store mgr is one of the rudest ppl this community has ever had. She is disrespectful to customers, talks to employees like their her slaves.
The district mgr visited the store for inspection in Nov. She slept in the store 2 days trying to clean it for Mr Mark's visit. The Saturday following his visit she had a hugh temper tantrum and destroyed the alley way behind the register and well as the office. She eats pepperoni bags and monsters constantly and throws all her trash in office store all the while expecting employees to clean her disgusting mess. The store its self, Its is disgustingly dirty with trash amd mud and dirt all over store.
The biggest issue is her behavior towards customers and employees. There is a lack of respect for all.in the short time I was employed with your store there were a dozen or more complaints about her. And every day someone complains about her.
You already loose a great deal of business to the Deweyville, Tx store. Folks are tired of dealing with her. Merchandise sits on rolltainers, and u-boats for days because its difficult to find good folks to work with her.
I could go on for days about the problems our local DG has. I pray that this gets to the right people so hopefully it will help make our only store in town a place to do business again.

Dollar General doors locked before store closed

I came to this location the night of 12/29/19 at 9:50 pm. I was sick and needed emergency female items. The door was locked and the employee there rolled her eyes at me when I asked to come in. This resulted in me leaving and having to go elsewhere. I have called and complained to the store manager as well. This is not the first time this has happened and I will not go back to this location. I spend a LOT of money at Dollar General and will not tolerate being treated this way. I understand they may have to lock the door for safety, but to be so nasty to a loyal customer is uncalled for.

Dollar General manager unprofessional

She yells at employers in the middle of the store while customers are there and one day could hear here using unnecessary words one the phone and I was not impressed she is going to make customers not want to return to the store. This women is very rude and should not be running a store I am amazed that the employers stay and work there in a setting like that.

Dollar General management

I do not understand your choices in management! Tara is a horrible, rude, disrespectful person... Always even without a complaint, but if you try to return something she treats you like a piece of [censored]! Could not do the survey because she tore off my receipt and throw it in the trash. Your white manager left ben on christmas eve with a line of at least 10 people to go smoke a cigarette in front of the store and talk on the phone. Neither of these women care about customer service! Ben and tyron are the only decent people you have at this store! Your store is always a mess and under stocked. Things are mispriced! You need to fix your house! Clean your house! Lf you would like to talk to me a.R. [protected]@hotmail.com or [protected]!
Something really needs to be done and ben should be management!

Dollar General manager

Jason is the manager of this store, and he has continued to harrass my husband JC Reedy (IO UTZ delivery driver). this is not on a professional level of harassment, this is personal harassment. we can make a delivery or go in and just pickup of product. and Jason continues to make this a personal issue regardless of any situation. and i have not entered that store in months, because the last time i was in the store with my husband to make a delivery, all he wanted to stare at me in an unprofessional way. i let it this matter go, but since he is continuing to make this as personal as he can. i am reporting him, and if this is not address i will take further action on him.
most recent incident with UTZ driver was last week. he had to leave quickly for a family matter, and did not make it into store. instead of finding out why driver left he called corporate and reported UTZ.

Dollar General heartland chicken and sweet potato dog treats

Dollar General:
These are my dogs fav treats however I'm about to discontinue purchasing them if all I get in a bag is 2 treats, I've weighed them and unless I add the bag to the scale I'm not getting the weight I'm paying for! Also lately the last 9 bags purchased they are burnt and she wouldn't eat them not that I blame her, but mommas pocket feels like it's being picked when what I pay for is not the accurate amount nor are they edible!

Dollar General a mess!

I go in this store probably 4 times a week. I've noticed that it the cleanliness of the store is going downhill.! They usually only have I employee at register and a manager working. Occasionally one might be on the floor. It seems the manager is always in the office. So, if I need help finding something I have to go to register to ask.
There are box's on floor and buggies full of box's. (there stock) everywhere. I had to move stuff out of the way today to go down the aisle. So frustrating! There milk is out of date again! Looks like the manager is not on top of things!
This store is going down hill! Need new management and more employees here!
Hope these problems get fixed soon or I will be going to the family dollar store across the road. I've heard other people and even employees complain!

Dollar General Friendship

I shopped at your store 12/16/2019 about 530 pm. Cashier ''deon''. Was the only cashier and you need to be very proud of this man, the store was busy. And he handled service great. I'm for one don't like shopping at this location. But had too. And mr deon made my night. You need to have more workers like him. Thank you for a great service with this employee.

Dollar General employee misconduct.

I work for store# 8175. And the manager and assistant manager are overly friendly with each other to the point ones son was harrasing, and stalking several employee s at store. Both are aware and yet nothing was done some female employee s are scared for there life as this individual is allowed to still be around the store with numerous knifes on his person just because he is the assistant managers son. The manager refuses to do anything against him as well being as him and the assistant manager have way more of a romantic relationship then a professional one.

Dollar General the total disarray of the store is not conducive to shopping in this store.

I have been a long time shopper at this particular Dollar General and in the past had always enjoyed my shopping experience. I the last 3-4 months there has been a very noticeable change to the upkeep of the store. Every time I have visited this location it is impossible to walk down the aisles or find products on the shelves due to aisles being cluttered with "stock waiting to be placed or put away". Large containers are blocking everything.
My last visit there I was looking for a particular item (wreathe hanger) and after trying to find the item without success I asked a worker who responded that when they first got Christmas items in she knows they had them and then directed me to the Christmas Aisle. She never made an attempt to bring me to the area. Another customer who overheard my request directed me to the exact location which was not in the Christmas Aisle.
It has been just very disappointing. I keep telling myself that this is my last visit but then I try again only to be again disappointed. I also realize that I have not seen the usual manager that I had always seen there when the store was top notch with excellent customer service!
I am sorry I have to share these negative comments with you but hoping things can improve. I am sure I can't be the only customers he feels this way. When you have to leave your cart somewhere in the store because you cannot go down aisles with it due to clutter and you have to move carts to see what's on the shelf does not make for a happy shopper.

Dollar General management

Store # 17589: When I go into dollar general penny shopping the manager is very rude when I find items that is a penny. She refuses to sell the items and when she is told that it can be sold because I found them items on the outside in a buggy and she goes to tell me if I want them, hell take them she don't have time to deal with that mess. If an employee needs her to come and fix something at the register she has a very nasty attitude. Her customer service and people skills is very awful. I also have witnessed her talking to an older employee about taking a $100 bill from a customer and the employee told her that what is she to do if another customer came in line with a $100 bill what is she to do and the manager told her not to take it because she doesn't do things right. Also there was this very nice and wonderful black lady with great customer service skills that was there and the manager got very ugly with her about being off due to immediate family illness and I just think that was the wrong way to be. Understanding is the Key. This store has a very bad turn over due to the manager. If she don't watch herself she will cause dollar general some money. I can go on and on, but that store shouldn't never lose great employees.

Dollar General the general store in havana, il

Hello, I do not want to complain about any product, but Dollar
General in Havana, Illinois not participating in the Christmas punch card. Today I asked the cashier to punch my card for the number of dollars spent there. She said the district manager would not allow it. Dollar General wanted to be part of the Havana, Illinois community and have people spend money there, but have failed to participant in the local punch card. Other merchants such as Ace, Farm and Home, County Market, and others do show their support by punching the Havana card. I do not have to shop at Dollar General in Havana but when they do not show support for the punch card tradition, I question why do I go there? Dollar General is a real Scrooge not to support this community tradition. If you care about the community of Havana, Illinois you might reconsider supporting the punch and become a true merchant member in the commmunity as other merchants do. Sincerely Linda Oest

Dollar General denial of restroom access to a 3 y. o

While taking my 4 grandchildren shopping at the store my 3 y.o needed to use the restroom I asked the clerk for the key and she said that they dont have a public restroom, my granddaughter was very uncomfortable and had began crying, I've shopped here for 3 plus years and have in fact used the restroom. Needless to say I had to leave my cart upset the other children who were shopping and leave, mind you I am a grandma so the stress was definitely high, during all of this I lost $20 which is upsetting but my loss none the least, I announced to the employees that I intened to call corporate, I was then told there was no working bathroom, the children love to shop there but I have been doing online shopping due to problems like this. I do not believe your chain operates with out restrooms, most of your stores are very welcoming to bathroom facilities, also i do understand denying use to suspicious activity of some patrons, a 3 y.o having to use the restroom on themselves in 20 degree weather does not constitute denial.

Dollar General cleanliness and inventory piling up at the store

After years of noticing unkempt store, I've decided to make a complaint. For weeks the shelves were not stocked and empty as well as boxes and boxes of inventory blocking the aisles, I grew frustrated. I could not get to the items that I wanted to purchase because the aisles were being blocked. I noted this for several weeks and finally said something to the store clerk. Her response was they " had no room in the back", so they had to put the items in the "least used" aisles of the store. Well I had tried for weeks to purchase some dish towels but couldn't get to them. The store is also very dirty. On the day before, I was standing in line and wondering what this young man was doing, I watched the cashier hand over what looked like a lot of "cash" and he had no items being purchased. The young kid proceeded to walk behind the counter and the gal said to him" you can't be behind here or I will get fired" I was confused by the whole scene. As a corporate store, I understand that you do not pay your employees a good wage, I think if you want quality employees you should pay them a little more and invest in the training of your employees. It's a sad deal that you don't have enough pride in your organization to properly empower your employees and make them want to do their job. Perhaps some restructuring from the top down would be helpful. I bet if you made them feel worthy they would maybe do a better job.

Dollar General balloons and helium

I purchased 62 balloons from this location and intended on having them blown up for a party im throwing December 14 I was going to have them blown up a day before. I asked if they had any helium in and how much do they charge to blow up balloons? I was told no store in El Dorado had any! So I called all the stores and sure enough no helium! Wondering if I should return balloons for a refund or if its possible for them to have helium before this date. When I worked for DG this was mandatory but I've noticed that for a few months now I can't get balloons blown. I had this problem in Oct. As well. Im putting photo with.

Dollar General employees

I was a frequent shopper at the Wells Dollar General up until last week, when I found out from a reliable anonymous source that some store employees have been spreading rumors and gossip about me through out the town of Wells. I didn't get a whole lot of information but this has made me uncomfortable with going to this store and even shopping at other places in the city of Wells. I am not sure who is responsible for the defamation of my character, but I suspect that it is with a few different employees in the store. I also believe that the employees are female based on the nature of the gossip and defamation. I also find it unprofessional that store clerks would engage in such behavior. I will never shop at the Dollar General in Wells again. I may shop at Dollar General in other cities, since the problems only are from the one in Wells, MN. I would ask that you either adopt a policy on customer privacy and employee conduct or hold a meeting to remind the employees of how to treat customers. If this behavior continues, others may stop shopping there too and I do not recommend anyone shop there from here on out. Sorry I had to bring the issue to your attention in this way, but a customer shouldn't feel disliked and defamed just because some female employees don't like him.

Dollar General dirty store

This store is nasty. The young girl managing Ins it is not management material. She is rude and
Always on the phone. She was particularly rude to me today when I forgot a bag.

The store is not stocked, there are carts in every isle, Mech end use of all kinds on the floor which is a severe trip hazard for customers.

I've had to stop going there because the items I need are not stocked, they are in the carts
But it's not my job to dig out what I need.

I go on in to red oak, brook shores. Brookshires
I'd run like a store should be.

I can't stress dirty enough, the floor has not been mopped I'm at least a month.

I also must complain about the gangster rapp
"Music" being blasted.

A guy named mark open this store and ran a fine store. Those days are gone and I know this store profits are in the toilet.

I won't be back any time soon.

Dollar General the whole store

They never have anything in stock. And the wait time on what they do have isn't worth it. You will be standing there 10-15 min for one item. The employees are rude. I started going across town to a different dollar general completely. The location is great and badly needed. But they don't show any type of interest about their products, customers, or store at all. They haven't been there too long and won't be if they keep this type of behavior up.
