Dis-Chem Pharmacies Cosmetics

Good day

I visited Dis-Chem Morningside (Rivonia Road) yesterday.
I was drawn to the cosmetic section and swatched open matte lipsticks on my wrist.
There's was no signage stating that testing is not allowed.
There were 2 ladies at the counter just hanging (literally) around. Only once I chose my cosmetics and walked passed them did the one call me to ask me which lipsticks I swatched.
They watched me, yet couldn't come up to me to tell me not to, instead waited till I walked passed them...
the lipsticks I tested were not sealed. The store is more than welcome to look at camera footage.
I was then told that I have to pay for the lipsticks I tested. This is very unfair.
Instead of hanging around, the cosmetic manager and colleague should ensure that all the lipsticks are sealed and that proper bold signage is up so people are aware just like how signage is up for wearing masks and sanitizing etc.

I had to pay for the lipsticks which I won't use. They were not sealed, which means that someone else also tested them.
Kindly assist.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Pharmacy service

Good Day

I want to log a formal complaint.

My doctor changed my blood pressure medicene to include a water tablet in the morning 3 months ago.

The 1st prescription my husband fetched one of the Euthyrox was left out and not issued

The second one your pharmacist refused to issue the new blood pressure tablet because the prescription was apparently unclear.

I then had to take leave to come in and sort it out. The doctor spoke to the pharmasist and then issued a new rpreacription that was emailed.

Now today I am told that again I cannot get the full preacription because it's an email copy.

My husband refuses to collect my prescription because there is always a problem getting it.

I work 30km before Rustenburg, I am only here during business hours on a Saturday.

No one told me that you need the original prescription and I cannot do get to Dis-Chem every Saturday to sort this out and we are not allowed any leave at work until 15 December.

I do not have medication for the rest of the week nor am I able to go to the doctor now to get the original prescription.

So for the 3rd month I have to drive up and down and make alternative arrangements because of poor communication

What I don't understand is that you accept a photo of a script to be uploaded but you refuse a script the the doctor emailed

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Pharmacist

On 02/12/2020 I was in the queue at Dis-Chem Green Valley. There is a pharmacist who has been there for quite a while by the name of Selma Bezuidenhout. Today she wasn't wearing a mask, licking her finger to separate papers to sign and then and then had to attend to me as she was the only qualified pharmacist there all the others were just assistant. Then an assistant had to ask her to put her mask on.
She opens sealed boxes when we need the whole box (even during covid) and then insists that it's law yet, when attended by another qualified pharmacist or at a different pharmacy altogether not one of them have ever done this, ever! And I have been filling this script every month for 4 years. Today she tried to count out 30 tablets from an already open bottle of 30, surely if the bottle is open it's because there is no longer 30 inside the bottle and this after i've seen her without a mask and licking her finger to turn pages. Today this was at 16h15 on my watch and 16h20 on their dispensary clock, there is a camera above the dispensary hopefully which faces the pharmacist side too.
Also I know of 2 family members who no longer visit this branch because of this lady. She is very abrupt.
She should be in a back office checking the scripts that are to be collected as she was doing before I was called, she needs to stop opening sealed boxes if anything for COVID at this stage, or altogether just not be there.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Sandton refused to prepare a sulphur and aqueous cream ointment

The Indian (young man) pharmacist at Dis-Chem Sandton City refused to make a 2% sulphur and aqueous cream mixture without explaining why, he just said they have never done it there and I should go to Bryanston. This is unacceptable as this mixture cost R30 but I had to drive a 20km round trip to get it because the pharmacists in Sandton are lazy to do their work.

After driving to Bryanston (The Compounding Pharmacy) I was told by the pharmacist there that Dis-Chem has a tendency of just sending people there without confirming with them first - they also told me they didn't make this mixture.

What is the point of calling yourselves pharmacists if you can't combine 2 ingredients?

This is the 2nd time I am having issues with this Dis-Chem, previously I had my medication delivered there and when I called to check for it I was told that the parcel was never delivered. I called the head office and they sent their driver to that Sandton City store, the driver called me back and said he found the package at the store. I never received any apologies for the error.

And sometimes if the Dis-Chem doesn't have an item, instead of checking their systems for stock availability at other stores, they're very quick to send people away, not unless you scream at them they will find you a store with the said product. I ask again, why are you calling yourselves pharmacists if you are not willing to go all the way.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Rude staff

I visited the Dis Chem store in promenade today being in my last trimester of my pregnancy I decided to get diapers for my soon to be born. I took the diapers and as soon as the lady over the intercom said the store is about to close I walked down the baby isle to the cash registers side as I was walking I quickly grabbed a few items along the way obviously on my way to the register with my niece. The security guard (a lady) approached me in a very attacking manner and asked me in a almost threatening tone if I need anything or if I need help obviously wanting me to leave the store asap the thing is I just entered the store a few minutes prior. And as I was standing in the line I asked my niece to watch the trolley so I could grab a fragrance gift set which was right opposite my eyes I wasn't planning to roam I just needed a quick gift the same security lady approached me even more aggressive I felt so attacked at that moment and she looked at me as if I committed murder or something repeating the phrase can I assist you with anything else. I turned around and stood in the line again. Feeling like a complete child and humiliated I will never ever set foot in a dis chem store again and I will spread this message to everybody that I know because I have worked in retail and regardless of when those doors close if the customer is buying you need to be of service

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Special offers

I went to Dischem Klerksdorp to buy specials from your Summer Savings promotion starting 20th to 13 Dec 3020. The promotion was not launched, non of the staff was aware of the promotion. I did not take my pamflet with me as I thought they would have it in store. I could only purchase items I could remember and had to ask them to scan it before I went to the till points. Because of this I lost out on many offers. Please get the management to launch their promotions on time please.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Dischem has no customer service!

I have complained over the past couple of years about Dis-chem, especially the Tambotie branch and it just not seem to mean two shakes in any ones' life. Purely because they have us by the short and curly's as this is the ONLY Dis-chem in Randfontein the next best is +- 15km's away in Krugersdorp. So, we have no choice and they are coining in on this! Their staff (and im sorry for the one's that should not be included as there are good staff) is rude, obnoxious, racist, lazy and incompetent! At the self-medication counter on Friday when I asked for an amnioretic I was told I need a script, after waiting in the cue for 10mn with only two clients at the counters. I told the lady all the pharmacies in Randfontein have this available. She said she knows but THEY need a script. Instead of referring me to the isle that sells their own waterless brand, she let me leave and I had to go and hunt myself! Then I wanted to order two medical home care items. I stood in the section for 5min and then tried to get some help. Eventually on the opposite side of the store I found the sister on duty. She went with me and said the manager will assist. Low and behold no manager, he was not even in the store! While the sister went looking for assistance for me, I approached another young lady on the way to the manager, that was not there, and she went to fetch Hendrik on the far side of the 1st isle. He was chatting away with other staff, it took her a few minutes to get his attention. He proceeded his conversation (which he later tried to convince me he was helping a customer) then sauntered over only to stop where to young ladies were buying toothbrushes to assist THEM! The lady that assisted me tapped him on the shoulder pointed to me and said "That is the customer that needs your help!" He looked at me baffled and tried to make his way over, begrudgingly! At that point I lost it, told him to not worry himself and that he was incompetent and made my way to the tills! Is this the end of a hour of hell in Dis-chem? Oh no! I am in the que and distracted as I am upset! Till 3 opens and I am prompted to go by the automated system, I walk past by accident the cashier says NOTHING and motions a client behind me to come forward. She knew FULL well I was the next customer! Im in the isle with a trolley battling to move back as the isle is packed to the rafters with merchandise! Cashier no 4 said to her that was your customer she ignored both her and I and continued assisting the customer she called and pushed in before me! Then she continues to talk in a African language saying to them if the customer is stupid she must be stupid! Yes I do have some fluency in African languages. I confronted her and said to her I am not finished with her as she is rude and racist and that she knew I was her next customer even if she tried to ignore me! I am sick and tired of this shop and the staff's attitude! And this after the pricing scandal during COVID! We still support why in heavens name! On Hello Peter there is 264 reviews related to bad customer service from Dischem! Is no one on the board of directors or senior management interested in their business enough to actually do SOMETHING? Going forward I will post on all local sites to encourage people to complain and start using other shops I will not be treated as a 2nd rate citizen when I spend well over R1500.00 PM in this shop. I will go where I am appreciated and treated with respect. I don't expect an answer on this site as 67 complaints are STILL unresolved this should say everything about this business

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Biogen iron plus

Good Day Sir/Madam

Today on the 5th of November I bought the Biogen Iron Plus supplement and I took 1 tablets after that my body started itching uncontrollably. I have been using Vital Iron Complex with no side effect or any problem. Unfortunately I will have to discontinue immediately and unfortunately I do not have another money to buy Iron tablets and I need them because I have Anemia.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Covid-19 drive thru tests

I had my covid-19 test done at the Dischem Fourways Mall Drive-thru testing station on the 19 October 2020. I have been in direct contact with someone who had tested positive for Covid-19 and expected to receive my results as soon as possible as it is stated on the form that I have been in direct contact. Three days later and no response from Dischem with regards to the results. I have called Dischem Fourways Mall, where the lady said I should get my results with 2 - 3 days and when I said it has been 3 days, she rudely said hold on and cut the call. I tried calling backing twice after, and no-one even bothered to answer the call. There is enough anxiety going around with the fact that you have to take a Covid test, but the fact that Dischem treats their customer so purely is shocking. There is no lab number to call for the results and their is no assistance for the Covid tests from Dischem.

I would appreciate it if Dischem Fourways Mall could provide a contact number or the name of the lab where the tests have been sent (hopefully).

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Service

My name is penny leshilo yesterday I visited your store at menlyn went to get otc medication had to wait on the queue like everyone, which is not a problem, the big problem is when you're still on the queue, then people after you get the service before you can because the lady by the name cindy arense knows the couple, I don't know if it is a matter of color cause the couple was white or what? I was not feeling well and on top of that I was on my lunch break, are we not supposed to be treated equally in this 21st century. I was so very bored, didn't even have the energy to confront her as I was really sick.
I would really appreciate it if you take this matter into consideration.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Passion lipstick

Good Day

I purchased a sale Passion Lipstick at Dischem New Market store yesterday. Code [protected]. The price marked is R15, 95. On arriving home and packing our purchases away I noticed that I have been charged R17, 95. I know it is only a R2 difference but this is false advertising and I'm wondering how many other products are inflated in this manner. My cashier is 123583 S. Khoza. Till No 0004.
Kindly advise the reason for the increase.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies The guy who works at dischem followed me to my car.

I went to dischem the Neighborhood to buy a few things. as I paying this guy was standing next to me, but I disregarded that. Once I had paid for my stuff I went to the shop next door and bought a few things there as well.
Went out to my car, as I am loading the stuff in the car, the same guy from dischem comes up behind me and starts asking me if I had paid for everything at the shop. I laughed because I thought it was a joke until he blocked me from entering my car and started searching my bag and demanding my slip.

With all the current gender based violence against women, I just froze and allowed him to do what he wanted because I was scared of what he could do to me if I refused for him to search my bag and go through my slips. He eventually did not find anything amiss and I told him to please allow me to leave. Luckily a car guard approached us and the dischem guy left I was so scared and shaking. I am still scared as Im typing this. it did not make sense to me why he would follow me and wait for me to finish at another shop then follow me to the secluded parking lot.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Dischem clearwater - clinic "nurse"

The old nurse was really rude, really upset me and my wife after taking our daughter for immunization. She asked us if we using medical aid or cash and we said cash then she said they don't have government vaccines and that it's going to cost us a thousand rand! This happened on the 26 aug 2020.

Next time she opens her mouth to judge customers she should think she could be talking to a doctor which was the case! Disgusted

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Online orders

I placed an order for cold gaurd mouth and throat spray from dischem park meadows on the 30/07/2020 order #831963 but they sent me revlon eye shadow instead. After contacting them they arranged for the revlon to be returned to them which I did but now after a week lebo at the online division informs me that the cold gaurd is out of stock why did they not tell me from the start? Now they say it will take 10 -14 days to refund my money!? How can that be since e-banking takes only 48hrs. I want my money back immediately. This seems like a scam they use to get people's money and never deliver any service. I am so disgusted with dischem.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Online order - problem with courier

I placed an online order on 13 July which has not been delivered. The distribution company called me and lied that they are delivering but they don't. They lie that they contact us but they don't. Shocking service. It's the 22 July And order has not been received yet. Since the 17 July, your tracking service says parcel out for delivery and is returned on trip sheet. This is unacceptable.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Covid testing

I went for a Covid test on 3 July (7days) ago and still have not received my results. I subsequently had to have another test done, because I needed an answer ( life has to carry on). I feel that if Dischem can't handle the amount of testing, please don't do it. I wasted R850 because I had to have another one done. Not the service I expected from Dischem.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Covid-19 testing

One 1 July 2020 I went for testing at the four ways dis chem drive through testing station at 11 am. I was informed I would get my result 3-5 days

Today is the 7th July 2020 and I have not yet received any communication from. I then contacted the lab, Torga and to my surprise they confirmed over the recorded call that they only received the sample on the 5th July.

CONCERNS:
1 the promised turn around time was not meet
2. I dont have any communication from dis chem of why there is a delay in the process as customer service.
3. I have no form of evidence to provide to my manager that can justify as to why my results are not yet out
4. This is unprofessional especially since its from such a big organisation and not a fly by night company

hope this c an be dealt with with great urgency

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Covid-19 testing results

I went for a Covid-19 test on Monday, 22 June 2020 at Blue Route Mall. I were told that i will receive the test results via sms within 2 to 5 working days.

Last week Friday, 26th June 2020 i called Dischem, now remember when you call Dischem you are on hold forever, it's crazy. Anyway someone eventually answered my call and only to be told i am not on the system. Apparently Dischem can't find any of my details or even proof that i came for a Covid test, how damn frustrating.

Yesterday, Monday, 29th June i called Dischem again, on hold again for ages. Eventually my call are answered only to be told again they still can't find my details, i was then given an email address and were told to forward all my details. It is now Tuesday, 30th June 2020, still no reply or text or call back from Dischem.

I called again this morning, Tuesday, 30th June 2020, again on hold forever then again someone answers the call, i then get transfered, on hold for ages again then my call get cut. I called a few minutes later and again the same crap.

If Dischem offer the service and know that they will have a high customer demand rate then employ more staff or don't offer the service to the community if you are this rotten at it.

I hope many people read this review so that they can be alert of the rotten servive.

This is to the staff who does the Covid test results...WE PAY R850 FOR A COVID-19 TEST, IT IS NOT FOR FREE, IT IS NOT A GOVERNMENT FACILITY, IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO NOTIFY PEOPLE OF THEIR RESULTS SOONEST, JACK UP YOUR SERVICE DISCHEM.

i am going to attempt another email and a call however i know it will be a waste of time.

P.S...MY COLLEAGUE EXPERIENCED THE SAME ROTTEN SERVICE FROM DISCHEM TABLE BAY MALL ALSO WAITING FOREVER FOR HER COVID TEST RESULTS.

LET'S SEE WHAT HAPPENS TODAY, I WILL FOR SURE GIVE ANOTHER REVIEW
