DirecTV billing and commitments

We moved in april and had our service transferred to our new address. We renewed our commitment for the next two years at the previous price. My directv bill went up $70!
I called and he said that no, we commited to the higher price... [censored]!. I'm okay with paying $90 a month but not $160. I think I will bite the bullet and pay the early termination fee and switch to xfinity. Change my mind...

DirecTV consumer beware directv service horrible when box stops working

WORST COMPANY, EVER SHAME ON YOU DIRECTV! Since last fall I have struggled trying to get a technician out to our home to repair our service. In September 2018, we noticed 2 of our 3 boxes no longer turned on. This is our lakehouse so we were not aware there was a problem until we arrived one weekend. Long story short, we have since had 3 scheduled appointments with NO technician showing each time. That was after email confirmation stating they would arrive with a four hour window. NO SHOW. Different reasons each time and MANY phone calls of such length, I can no longer have the patience to wait another hour only to be told someone will call me to schedule another appointment to repair. Unfortunately for us Directv is the only server option but too much time and too much money has been wasted on a company that has ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. We will be cancelling after 10 years but have no choice since they clearly have NO SERVICE department. CONSUMER BEWARE!

DirecTV channels

You have several hundred people who are going to sue direct TV For not having channel 4 Channel 49 and other channels This is not exceptable You will soon find out How unexceptable You need to credit all accounts half their bills As these were what we were watching and you took off air We miss the shows we were paying for Bad publicity will hopefully put you out of business Fix this situation now With over 27000 signed complaints I'm sure we will win Also be awarded money for the stress you have put on elderly for not having their channels

DirecTV cable

I love how they play blame game on nexstar. Nexstar seems to have a different story on who is to blame and that looks to be direct tv. Regardless, if you cant negotiate to keep major networks on your line up you dont deserve to be in the cable business. Will cancel and move to another provider as soon as possible. I will also bad mouth and tell anyone that ever brings up cable providers how worthless direct tv is. Freaking incompetent! They should be embarrassed!

DirecTV channels 24 & 47 have been blocked

As of about 2 weeks ago 24 & 47 NBC have been block in our area these are 2 of the most watched channels in our house. If I had know they would be an issue I would have stayed with DISH by since my phone service is with AT & T the store personal asked me to switch price would be approx. the same ( not true) Please, Please, Please, get these channels back.

DirecTV billing department

I paid our may directv bill by eft thru my credit union on 23 may 2019. My payment apparently went to the wrong account. I have been contacting customer service since 29 may with no resolution. I have talked to, as of today 10 different people each telling me they would personally resolve the situation. My credit union emailed proof of payment to ucpaymentclaims@att.com in 23 june. Each person I have talked to has given me new excuses/stories/lies. Today was the final straw when customer service rep charles tells me that I had the incorrect upper/case lower case letters in the address. That would have been helpful to have know earlier. So as of today 10 july my payment has not been refunded nor applied to my account. Pitiful.in this day and age of eft we all know they can find the payment. Pitiful.

DirecTV channels on directv

I keep paying same amount and you keep taking channels away please discount my bill or bring channels back. Recently it is CBS channel 42 in Birmingham you have taken away.
I will be changing satellite or cable service very soon if there is not improvement.I realize you probably don't care very much about my situation but I have a decent following on social networks I promise to advertise my experience positive or negative.
I don't understand how you treat loyal customers so poorly and new customers get all the attention.

DirecTV service call

I had a technician come to my home. In order to help fix my problem he installed a new dish. After he left I went out and found the old dish setting on the ground and a bunch of loose cables hanging from the dish location. When I called the servic e department and asked why the old dish was not discarded properly they told me I could do whatever. I do not appreciate having to do clean-up and now I am trying to find a proper place to discard this item which does not fit well in the back of my car.
I have been a loyal customer for over 20 years and this is by far the worst service call.
I do not appreciate the way the service technician did his job or the lack of consideration by the person I talked to on the phone.

DirecTV rude office manager and subcontractors

We are 15year customers. I have called numerous times on incorrect billing. We had a new roof installed and needed to reinstall a dish. Two weeks ago Ryan or Bryan came at the wrong time with no new dish. The following Friday James came and wanted to install the dish in the middle of the roof. He came late with an attitude. I asked why he could not install the dish were it was closer to the edge so when it snows and lose the signal we can reach and clean it off. He called Amber his office manager and he said he did not have to put the dish in at all per Amber. He turned to leave I asked his name and his manager he said James and Amber. A few minutes later Amber called me and wanted to know why I wanted her name she told me I was obnoxious and she was putting it in her notes she continued to berate me telling me she was not and employee but also a subcontractor. My money is green anywhere I will not be abused by your employees. Send me the paper work to return your equipment I am done.

All these so called websites are stealing money in the name of DIRECTV Dealers. They are not at all approved by DIRECTV or AT&T.

We have been a DirecTV customer for many years. I don't understand that channels are being taken off DirecTV and the bill goes up and you cant cancel your service because you have a contract. I think that if DirecTV is in breach of contract after letting local channels get blacked out. I'm going to talk to someone about it and see if I can file a lawsuit.

DirecTV direct tv / ongoing negotiations

It is absolutely beyond ridiculous that TV stations & DirecTV cannot get their act together.

Customers pay waaaayyyy too much money for services to EVER have a channel unavailable due to the greed of DirecTV & a major station, like ABC. This is a constant with one station, or another. The parties cannot agree on money so we, the paying customers, suffer for their greed. We should get an inconvenience refund for every single time this happens.

Get it together & put customers 1st!

DirecTV directv refund for ppv purchases

Subj: DIRECTV Lost Purchases

I had a DEFECTIVE DIRECTV receiver that I along with DIRECTV Technical Support, the Automated Activation prompts on the phone and online troubleshooting FAQs and I was unable to order PPV/VOD with the remote control as I have done all the time. I received an option to text 223322 to a number, go to directv.com/PPV or call 800-531-5000. NONE of these options worked! I did more troubleshooting through the next 7 days trying to get the PPV to work without success. I was even told I would receive a text message from the engineering department because the error was NOT the box but a DIRECTV issue but I was not given any foreseeable expectation date, so after 3 days I tried the troubleshooting over and over again until finally I requested a new box.
After receiving the next box I and making attempt after attempt to get it activated I called your office numerous times and was told activation was down and to call back after 8am. I called back after 8am with the same results. I waited another 2 hours and tried again with the same results! Finally around 2:30PM I called again, I started doing this at 6:00am when another DIRECTV representative which assisted me this time PROFESSIONALLY, COURTEIOUSLY and TRUTHFULLY as it was NOT that the ACTIVATION center was down. After I was walked through programming the old remote control to the NEW receiver, I was able to advance the selections on screen which I was unable to do before and I mentioned this to ALL the other representatives about screen will not advance with remote although remote does turn new box on and off. I was then told the remote was ok and it's an activation issue and to call back but it was NOT an activation issue.
After all this I found out today ALL my purchases are now GONE! I was told by DIRECTV that you lose all recordings when the receiver is replaced. I asked how this is allowed! I purchased all these recordings and because of a DEFECTIVE receiver that I had NOTHING to do with that had to be replaced now I lose all purchases when I DID NOTHING WRONG! I had $422.00 worth of movies which I dutifully paid for that I watch periodically, that's why I PURCHASED them!
I want movies restored that purchased! I received an email from DIRECTV today that says they have received my return. The card in that box has my information so hopefully that can be accessed and replace MY movies that I have purchased! If this is not available I would like a REFUND so I can reorder again! I don't feel I should have to buy these AGAIN due to a DEFECTIVE receiver not caused by me! I had NOTHING to do with the defectiveness! I have ALL DIRECTV/ATT services, mobile, internet, home phone and DIRECTV and I am EXTREMELY UPSET! I not only lose the purchases, I also lose money as I would have to purchase them again!
I would really like my movies but if not a refund will suffice!
I await your decision as I hope I don't need to send this letter to the TEXAS Attorney General's office for further assistance!

DirecTV bogus cancellation fee.

In April 2019 our Direct TV signal was getting bad. Called local Direct TV and they sent tech out. He said we would lose all local channels in six weeks if we didn't switch to high definition. I was told there would be no cost and we stay on same plan we had for 22 years. Reception was bad. First tech tried two different dishes to improve signal..didn't work. Four more techs came out with the next 30 days, swapping dishes, swapping receivers, etc. The last tech said this should not have been installed as the was bad light of sight. When he left, we had no signal at all. I called AT&T and was assured after lengthy explanation I could cancel without paying early cancellation fee. I cancelled. I received several different notices to pay for early cancellation and to return equipment. Each letter had the wrong equipment listed, but I did use UPS to return all Direct TV equipment that I had and have a receipt. When I challenged the cancellation fee by phone, after an hour I was told I needed a tech to say the line of sight was bad and to do so I had to sign up another contract so a tech could be authorized to come out. I did and he did and he immediately told me line of sight prohibited good reception. I asked if he would state that in his report and that I was safe in cancelling my contract. He told me yes. Now I just got another bill. I am not paying, and if I don't get a bill cancellation from Direct TV I am going to report this to the Minnesota Attorney General Consumer Complaint Unit and to my Homeowners Association.

DirecTV pop up ads during cbs programing

You put pop up ads for future programing or features during national programing. The audio of the CBS station is still there but your ad covers the screen and stays there until i use the remote to remove it.

During a important program like a ball game things are missed with this crummy way of advetising.

If is does not stop I may have to look to another provider.

DirecTV refund and disconnection my phone [protected]

On June 26, 2019 I called directv customer service to disconnect service. I wanted to disconnect before my payment went through of 106.99. I saw that I still had service, so I thought that it was going to go until I was suppose to pay on June 29th. The person I spoke to said I wouldn't be charged, but I was charged. I called again on Jun 29th and the person I spoke with said he was going to give me a credit of $50 I have yet to see the credit. He told me that I was paying from previous service, which I didn't know about. I thought I always paid ahead. I called again and now I was told that the billing cycle is from Jun 22nd to Jul 21st, so I'm paying for service that I'm not even using. I was disconnected on Jun 29th. Basically I used the service for 7 days. I need to be refunded for at least 21 days. I also feel that every time I call customer service I'm given different explanations. I've talked to about 4 different persons and they all give me different answers. Please look into this matter.

DirecTV Satellite outage at a Business

June 29th 2019 at the Cobblestone Inn, in Kersey Colorado, the Satelite signal was lost. Knocking out service to the entire hotel. Today is July 2nd and there still has not been a single DIRECTTV Rep out to this location to fix the problem. I will be staying in this Hotel until the 16th of July. I would like the service fixed today. The customers are really getting very discouraged and with this problem the Hotel will lose business. I have spoke to the manager everyday and I keep getting told they are trying to get someone out here to resolve the problem, but with little result.

DirecTV equipment and programming

Approximately, one month ago, I was advised that the Direct TV equipment that I had and have had since 2006 was going to be obsolete, and if I did not have the latest equipment installed I would no longer be able to view my local channels. So, an appointment was made and the technicians came and installed it. I noticed that the new equipment, although with many flaws, did offer me "Apps" and since I love all music I thought I could put up with the horrible new ways of viewing. I did not know that all my recordings would be deleted, but that is just one more thing that made me decide to drop Direct TV. Because I am retired, TV is one of the things I enjoy. Well the apps have never worked and despite two technicians visits. The apps still do not work. I have called and spoke with several technicians, most of them friendly and helpful. On last night I spoke with someone who gave me her name as Taylor( I realize names may not be actual names) however, she was customer savvy, very patient, and we got the app to work, but only for a few minutes. Tonight I called again for tech support and spoke with someone called Victoria. We went over all the steps, and the App Pandora, still does not work. Victoria yawned during our conversation and acted if I were an annoyance, and when I asked that she report the problem and have another technician come out and check the equipment, she stated that I needed to get in touch with the manufacturer of the tv as she had done all she could. and refused to transfer me to another technician. It is so often that a company suffers because of one "bad apple", but she is probable not the only one. I have not secured another TV provider, but I am looking very hard. My daughter who had just moved to this area asked who I thought she should get her TV service with, of course I told her my story and she changed her mind about signing on with Direct TV, I would not recommend Direct TV to anyone.

DirecTV early termination fees

On Sep.27.2018 I called 18007715361 paid off amount of $ 264.23 due to non return of direct tv/At&t equipment. On Oct.2.2018 I called customer service 18002882020 for the bundle offer Direct tv, Uverse& home phone. My appt was scheduled for Oct.3.2018 at 8am-12pm where both a direct tv tech & AT&T's tech will come in & install cable, internet & home phone for $90.monthly(Wow!so I thought)That morning I only had a Direct tv tech come in to install & shortly after a sales rep came in & thanked me for choosing them & asked what did I order. I told him & he said ok sounds good would you like to get cell phone lines too I said no thank you. Shortly noon arrived & direct tv was installed but no att&t tech ever showed nor called with any update. I shortly called the 18002882020 & inquired only to be given a Oct.5.2018 9am-12pm appt for internet & told sorry no home phone is available in your area but you'll still be charged $90monthly(wait what) *Red flag I asked to cancel instead everything & be done how is it possible now the 2nd time it's all going wrong I was told lies it wasn't confirmed we will let the tech know to go now shortly after 4pm now at this time I'm getting a call from a tech asking me where am I he's here to install my internet no one is home. I'm rushing returning back home from Kaiser as my 16yr old son was hospitalized. No compassion Our appt was at 9am-12pm it's now about to be 5pm. I hurry home & he sets up ok thank you bye I need to go back to the hospital. Now the headaches are gone & the nightmare of choosing to return to Directtv/Att&t began. I called to straighten out any hiccups, miscommunications, mistakes, agreements to address the issue & confirm my order" A Bundle". They're s a contract$$ who wants to ever fail there. That day I was told everything was fine oh you won't see a bundle charge till the 3rd billing cycle & so on. I called back two weeks later to reassure we were on track. As a customer i did my part I ordered, followed up & was reassured. Now June.2019 I have (2)outstanding collection debts one for att&t([protected])-$35.79 & direct tv([protected])-$315.28 includes etf$360.fees I'm being charged for having to cancel your services due to your department failed to properly place the order, which now I'm not in your coverage area any longer & I get no where by calling customer service. Which by the way up to April.2019 when I cancelled I was disconnected, rudely spoken too, given the run around no call this # then no call this# since we are in transición & can't see both accounts. No one here can see them & was hanged up on. Demanded to pay an outstanding bill since I ordered 2 separate services I'm responsible. I never received the $300 gift card since on my direct tv bills there was never an apartment #6 added. How was it that the direct tv tech knew where. Oh yeah he called me & said he was here I opened & directed him to my door. On top of issues, problems, headaches getting no help since when you have an outstanding bill your call goes to collection department where no one there can do anything nor cared too. You owe them so pay. I've called the headquarters in El segundo 3109645000 & get that this number is no longer in service call customer service. I'm now going to contact the lawyers that are in charge of the class action lawsuit against direct tv & BBB hopefully I can get someone who indeed knows the laws, unbinding agreedments, statues of limitations I know if I had the correct bundle order I am responsible for the contract but I was lied to added 2 accounts as they expected for me to just eat up their lies, I get emails from direct tv saying don't miss out 50% off your charges & we will take you back & dismiss the etf fees knowingly that all of the equipment was returned received & processed as a cancelled account. I'm so disgusted, mistreated, regretful for ever doing business with you, word of mouth, social media every network I can have broadcast the way you do business I will seek for assistance as well. I hope whom reads this is & willingly going to remove me of any charges & contracts & would prefer if indeed I ever need any of your services I return as a once loyal customer. I overpaid already & been lied to, treated as I've done wrong. I would like for you to have someone with the knowledge, business comprehension, proper credentials to resolve this matter once & for all.

***BUYER BEWARE***
Do not do business with DirectTv/Att&t. Instead invest wisely Stream, forget tv, move, be adventurous & be productive. The fact that they’re awarded The Best Customer Service is a HA! They ask you what is the best number if we are disconnected by chance that I may contact you back HA! Never once did they, but quickly sent text messages for a survey! No one but twice was I ever actually assisted by(those whom love their job, not just sit in their [censored] to collective$& be rude as f***). It’s now soon to be July & I hear crickets, wind blowing but no actual resolution nor a call back from the award winning customer service department they claim. I mean can I vote myself or others on here for any awards apparently not much is needed but deceiving business practices.

DirecTV directv customer service

I dont know how they are #1 in Customer service.
Had them for 3yrs, worst Customer service ever! every time I called they would transfer me to someone in another country.
They would always put me on hold then hang up, at lease 3 times every time, there Excuse always the same have a new system in place,
working out the glitches. hard to understand them cause of there thick Middle Eastern Accent, and they sometime get upset when you ask them to please repeat themselves.
I finaly canceled my service before my next billing cycle, but they took the money anyway. tryin to get the money back is like trying to pull your own teeth out, very Aggravating and frustrating process.
They will not put the money back into my bank account, WHY? DONT KNOW! it was easy enough for them to take it out.
Anyway they will only refund me with a prepaid visa card that would take 4 to 6 weeks to get. Ridiculous!
And by the way when I ask to speak with a manager they just hand the phone to someone else in the room. waste of time.
Well it has been 9 weeks and nothing, called them up got the same run around with them hanging up on me again.
when got some one willing to help, she was nice and Sympathetic to my frustration but could not do much for me.
she said they just Recently received the request for the refund so I should receive it in another 4 to 6 weeks. Unbelievable!
They must Survey they Customer when they first install the service, before they get a chance to deal with customer service a couple of times.
CAUSE I CAN NOT SEE HOW THEY ARE #1 IN CUSTOMER SERVICE!
