I requested my son's (age 10) xrays to be emailed to me in writing via fax & email. I wanted to get an orthodontic consultation-2nd opinion closer to my home, not to transfer out to another office. I was given a very hard time by the Manager, Heather. She spoke to me like I was an uncivilized heathen & then abruptly dismissed my son from the practice because I did not respect the "office policies". I respect them, I just did not wish to drive 30+ minutes away to sign a form that I can fax or email &... I would have paid the $25.00 to release the xrays that I had already paid for. My son loved Dr. Smith and her assistants so I dealt with the office politics, waiting forever for a scheduled appointment, misquoted treatment plans and so forth. I will now take my son's orthodontics business & yearly preventive care to another office that actually has empathy for their patients. I am a very reasonable & understanding person when given the opportunity, but I was not. This all could have been avoided & handled with such a different, positive outcome rather than the way it did. It's a shame that Dr. Smith has to loose good, loyal patients because of the office staff's attitudes and behavior.
Experience was horrific
I went to dentaland today for a deep root scaling, and my experience was horrific. The time spent with the hygenist was akward at best. He was very concerned about the money. Coerced by Dental PA Delray into getting a CareCredit credit card for $1, 600 ( I am now on the hook for $1, 600.) to cover a dental procedure that cost $430. (my co-pay) had the claim been submitted to my CIGNA Dental insurance plan. Gross over charge, claim never submitted to insurance co, no discussion of dental procedure and the tooth cracked and fell out the same week.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
Well Katrina I think you should really write an updated version of the real truth. You have since came in the office, went over your treatment plan. You sent me a beautiful card and apologized for the false accusations you have made. Please take care of this as well as we have since resolved issue.
THE OFFICE MANAGER, LEE, SPENT THE 400 CASH I LEFT TO SAVE FOR A CROWN AND ROOT CANAL. I WAS HAVING NO PAIN WHEN INFORMED AT A CHECK-UP I HAD A MYSTERIOUS AND HUGE CAVITY DESPITE REGULAR VISITS, CLEANINGS, AND HOME FLOSSING AND BRUSHING. THE DENTIST DRILLED AND DRILLED. THEN HE TOLD ME I MIGHT NEED A ROOT CANAL LATER. WITHIN DAYS I HAD PAIN IN THAT TOOTH! THAT WAS MONTHS AGO. I GAVE LEE, THE OFFICE MANAGER, 100 DOLLARS A MONTH SO I WOULDN'T SPEND IT. SHE SPENT IT FOR ME! SHE TRIED TO TELL ME I GOT A CROWN. I TOLD HER I HAD A PLASTIC TEMPORARY. THEN SHE TOLD ME THE DENTIST SNEEKED IN A 700 DOLLAR PROCEEDURE. SHE ACTED SURPRISED I WASN'T BILLED!

Dental without Dignity
At Dentaland, dentistry is a spectator sport. Thanks to the open floorplan, you not only get to experience your own dental work, but you get to witness everyone around you getting their teeth pulled as well. You also get to overhear the disgruntled employees talk about how much they hate their jobs and how lazy the other employees are. The equipment is old and starting to rust in spots and the whole place is dirty and dusty. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. You can get better care at a free clinic in a third world country.
I forgot to add: They overschedule so you end up having to wait for over an hour after your appointment time to be seen. I've been in this office three times and it happened every single time.

RUN AWAY! There's no privacy and it's an assembly line setup. Speaking of setups, they charge for xrays that I didn't OK in advance. The just take all the xrays they want without concern for the patent's health or rights. The panoramic xray is so strong that you should not have another one for FIVE Years. They didn't even ask if I had one recently. They just shot super xrays at me. They subjected me to it and then charged me $25 for it. All they did was xray me and then tell me that I would have to pay to talk to their specialist. I was told I would pay nothing for the visit with the savings plan that I have. Yeah Right. It certainly wasn't worth my time and aggravation. The mysterious manager is never there and won't return phone calls. I don't think they have a manager and even the dentists travel from other counties a few days a month. What a shabby office and employees. They sit around talking and doing nothing else. On the way out the front office workers ganged up on me about the $25. I've even emailed the website with no responses. I think this place is a front for something else. It certainly isn't a dentists office. Now I have to try to get MY XRAYS away from them. I have a REAL DENTIST who charged me less for an extraction then just talking to their "specialist". Anyone want to join a class action against them?
I did not like dentaland in melbourne florida, on palm bay rd, they were packed and only one dentist in the entire office . I was there for hours, then the dentist that was there does nothing but fill cavities, everything else has to be rescheduled to have a specialist come in and charge a fortune
Where do they send their lab work for crown and bridges? China probably...
