Delta Air Lines Left stranded in the middle of the night

On my return flight home from LAS our connecting flight was canceled. The following day was also canceled and the (very helpful) staff tried to find us a way home. The closest they could get us was a 3 hour drive. Upon landing we were told that we could not rent a car from Portland airport and leave it at Bangor Maine airport. We had no way to get home at 1:30 AM. We looked into LYFT which cost $700 and Uber which was $800. We found a cab that would take us at $400. We also incurred a parking surcharge of $109. We were not compensated for anything during this time. We understand that sometimes things happen beyond our control but we feel that some compensation is due.

Delta Air Lines First Class tickets not honored and Comfort tickets not honored

On April 21, 2022 I made airline reservations for 9 members of my family flying from Richmond Virginia to Miami Florida for our cruising experience on July 25, 2022 and returning on July 29, 2022. I am not a frequent flyer or anything but I chose your airline because of recommendations from family members and other co workers. But what a nightmare I experienced. First of all our initial fight scheduled for July 25, 2022 was canceled and I had to reschedule until July 24, 2022. Then when we got to the Richmond airport we were surprised to find that my 2 year old grandson was rescheduled ALONE to board a Delta International flight! After panicking and rushing to straighten this matter out, we almost missed out primary flight. Then there was no seat for him on the primary flight (that I paid for) and he had to sit in his father’s lap!

Now, on our return flight from Miami, without any notification whatsoever, our flight was changed, and this was found out when we arrived at Miami airport. This is when we also found out that half of my family was taken off of one plane and was schedule to be on another flight some 3 hours later! This is why I made reservations in April to avoid any of this! ALSO this is also when I found out that my first class tickets were no good and my wife and I were placed on the last seat in the rear across from the stinky bathroom! Now keep in mind that I scheduled these first class tickets on April 21, 2022 probably one of the first that was scheduled! That was the first return flight! The second flight was just about the same…no first class seats for us and we had to be in coach. Now I scheduled these first class tickets because my wife and I are both have claustrophobia and we are tall individuals.

I feel that if anyone had to give up their first class seat is should have been the last person to reserve them. Again, I had our first class seats reserved in April! The coach seats were very, very uncomfortable, tight and it was the worst flight experience that my family and I have ever had!

I even paid for comfort seating for the rest of my entire family and they too did not get comfort seating on the return trip back! On top of that, one of our luggage was missing and another was damaged! And on top of all of that, NO ONE has contacted me for a refund of my first class and comfort tickets!

Once again this was just about the worst flying experience for us and we have vowed never to fly Delta Airlines again! We believe we are certainly entitled to a refund and retribution after all that Delta has put us through! I await to hear from your office as how you are going to handle this.

The morning of the 26th of July I was flying to Las Vegas to visit my daughter. I asked the check in lady who did not have a visible name tag but did have very red hair and was older how to check in using a check in kiosk.

As it was early in the morning there was very few people I thought it would not be an issue helping me to check in. I heard the lady say "come up here" as if I was in some sort of trouble. I told her I simply wanted to be shown how to check myself in. I am a veteran and unfortunately have a bad limp and poor hearing and at first thought I had mis heard the Delta lady. Then she said " I am going to check you in. At this point I was getting a bit upset and was thinking that I simply asked for help. As I had paid for the flight with my points to Las Vegas from Boise I asked if their was any issues with my points and if everything was ok. I was ignored. I then asked how her morning was and I was given a sigh as if it was just too much for her to acknowledge me. She gave me my tickets and walked away.

I was honestly to scared to ask her where I go to security. So, I walked to Southwest Airlines and asked them where security was and they directed me.

Later on when I had found my gate I noticed her helping some of the Delta staff out. I assume she was a manager and couldn't believe she treated me so poorly.

The whole flight down I was upset and left wondering what was wrong with her.

Desired outcome: I would appreciate a full refund for my flight down to Las Vegas.

Delta Air Lines Flight to France June 12th 2022

Hi,

I'm contacting you regarding a flight I took this past June 12th. I was flying to France from SFO to Paris. Right before boarding the plane I was asked to present my personal medical information to the Delta staff as there is a requirement for entering the country. I'm a French national.

Before flying I signed a document to attest that I have the necessary documents to enter the country. I feel it's a violation of my privacy to ask me to present my personal health information to a non health representative from France. Why do you not ask your staff to refrain from asking private health information. Its a HIPPA violation and I will put forth an official complaint against your company unless I get reassurance that this is not supposed to happen.

Desired outcome: Answer to confirm this is indeed not required for me to show my private health information next time I fly

Delta Air Lines Pet Carry on

Hello, flew from Marco Polo, Italy to Atlanta and the flight itself was wonderful. The flight attendants, food, and experiences we all beautiful. I have flown with Delta for over 20 years, I am active military and as a service member I have always enjoyed that our booking company uses Delta. However, the Italian check-in ladies for Delta are not educated in Delta policies. They have ugly behavior and are rude, they reference Ryanair polices and other foreign airlines, they are the international face to Delta. I suggest the flight boarding ladies know how Military orders work with luggage, pets in cabin policies concerning kennel size, and that there is no weight limits. This all would have saved me over an hour of arguing after showing them email from Delta that ensure me I was good to fly with my luggage and pet.

MY name is Darrell Spann. I left the United states on 7/11/2022 enroute to Accra, Ghana. When I checked my luggage, the agent would not let me check my bicycle that had a motorcycle cover on it. I was forced to leave the bicycle at the Tampa airport in the long term parking garage. Before driving to Tampa from Lakeland, Florida on 7/11/2022, I called Delta customer service twice to inquire about the regulations for the bicycle. I was told twice a motorcycle cover would due, as long as the entire bicycle was fully covered. The morning of the flight, the story changed and I was told the bicycle had to be in a box or a hard shell.

Desired outcome: I'm scheduled to come back to the US on 10/03/2022 and would like that date changed to 8/11/2022 through 8/20/2022 to retrieve my bicycle that's locked up on a bike rack at the Tampa airport.

Delta Air Lines Required covid test before boarding flight to europe.

On July 1, 2022, My family arrived at Delta airlines to check in to Italy. When my husband and my son arrived and checked our bags in the agent told us we had to have vaccination proof. We showed the agent our cards and she said that we needed a current COVID test or we can't board. We planned this trip three years ago. I told her on the Delta app it said no more COVID tests were required to go to Europe. I showed her the Delta app and Europe travel requirements. I told the agent that On March 23, 2022, no Covid-19 restrictions. She insisted that if we wanted to go on the flight we had to go upstairs and get a Coivd test. I asked to speak to her supervisor and she said that we had one hour to go upstairs and get the test done before we board in an hour. So we quickly ran upstairs to get the test done and run back to her and show her the results before we could board. I also told the agent that my family was flying out from Houston and San Diego on Delta and nothing about Covid-19 vaccination or tests were even mentioned to them. It cost us $750.00 for the three of us to get tested. Once we arrived in Europe I asked KLM if we needed the covid test results and they said there are no requirements and did not need to do the test. I would like to be reimbursed for the $750.00 since the information she gave us was wrong and would not allow us to board the plane. We were going on a family vacation that was planned three years ago. We already rented a house and could not get our money back. We were on Delta Flight 1501 From Phoenix, AZ to Salt Lake City. Then Flight Delta 56 Salt Lake City to Amsterdam. Then Flight 9339 from Amsterdam to Florence Our flight confirmation number us H56W4C The place she had us go to was in the terminal and was called Treat. It was $250 per person there was a total of three of us. Thank you,

We planned a trip three years ago to go to Italy for a family reunion. My family flew from Phoenix, Arizona to Salt Lake City, Utah to Amsterdam to Florence, Italy. We left Phoenix Arizona on time but when we arrived in Salt Lake City they pushed our flight back. We knew we had a two-hour layover in Amsterdam, so we were hoping we were going to make our flight. I did ask in Utah if they could rebook us on the later flight just to make sure we would be okay. The Delta agent said she could not we would have to land in Amsterdam and they would book us. When we arrived in Amsterdam there was chaos everywhere and only two workers were available. KLM told us we had to take a number to speak to an agent and that the wait is six hours. We waited six hours and our number was still hours from being called. We got an alert saying we were booked on the flight the following day at 2100. We knew we had 36 hours so we left the airport and got a couple of hotel rooms and some clothes etc due to the fact they told us we had to leave our luggage at the airport. Our flight was 1501 from Phx, AZ t Salt Lake City, Utah. Then flight 56 from Salt Lake City Utah to Amsterdam. We were supposed to go out on Flight 9339 from Amsterdam to Florence Italy. Delta Air Lines Flight on July 2 2022

Hello

I had a flight out of Jacksonville fl to Kansas city Missouri on July 2 2022. Fourth of July weekend. I had the flight for over a month,2 days before I got a e-mail saying you though it was best if I changed my flight to after 4th July weekend. And there would not be any charge, which was a lie I had to pay 60.00 so I did. I changed it to July 9th out of Kansas city Missouri at 406 pm. which they said be there early which I was, when I walked up to delta desk. The lady said I was too late to check my bag, and I had to caught the next flight at 530 am the next morning, I ask her what was I supposed to do and she said I don't know, I'm 66 years old, bad health and have to have a wheel chair which wasn't offer I can't walk very far, I have rods in my back and neck and have afib, and sugar, I told her there was no way I could stay in the airport for 14 hours and she said she couldn't help me, this another person said I could get a van to take me to a motel, and bring me back, so I went to a motel at 6pm, which cost me 175.00, I was so tired and sweating from walking, and though I was going to have a heart attack, the next morning the man took me back to the airport at 430am. I told him had to go to delta, he let me off at the wrong one, I walked all over the place looking for it, and finally I ask a man that had just let off some people, I ask him if he could please help me, he could see I was very tired, so he took me to delta, they told me to be there at 5 am to check in my bag, which weight 52 pounds that I pulled all over the place, had nothing to eat from 4pm the day before, and I'm a Debetta. anyway she said oh your two late, you will have to catch the 7am, still hadn't got a wheel chair, I finally got on a plane at 7am and landed in Jacksonville after 12 pm, my ticket was changed 3 times, from the 9th of July to july 10th. my luggage was all messed up, I always us Delta when I fly, but this was a trip from hell. I shouldn't not had to pay for a motel are been send from one place to another without any help that I ask for, none of it was my fault.

Desired outcome: I want the money I had to pay for changing my flight after being told I wouldn't be charged, and the 175,00 had to pay for a motel, and pain and Suring .CONFIRMATION NUMBER, GDR4CV

Delta Air Lines reinbursement for traveling

Hello, For some reason you hadn't received the email I sent in June.

We had a problem on June 14th with travel from Detroit to Marquette. Delta set us up in a motel on June 14th, but had to rent a car cause of my grandson and had to get home for work.

I booked a ticket for my daughter in September 22, 2021 for a flight on Delta airlines Flight DL54 to Lagos for a trip in December 18,2021. On getting to DFW airport, the agents asked her to produced the Credit card that was used to purchase the ticket, which she did. Instead of giving her a boarding pass, they kept her waiting for several hours. They later went ahead and booked her on another flight and charged $5901.97 for the same route that cost $3105.85 for the original ticket. I have asked for explanations and refund for the price difference of $2796.12 to no avail. I need your help to resolve this.

Delta Air Lines delayed and missing flight

On 09/06/2022 i suppose to fly from lax to new york in morning 0600 on dl 1095. This flight was very delay and we got no information about this nothing sayying on information board on gate. So i have to go around ask about my flight but no help then customer service told me that their is a flight to new yord at 0725 i triedv that flight but it was over booked so i could not board on this flight and i missed my connection to manchester no body helped from your team i have to booked another ticket from air linus on that evening and i have to spent all day in airportso i need you to pay for trouble which is caused by your your airline

Delta Air Lines Flight missed and expenses

On June 23, 2022 my sister and I were flying home from SanDiego. Our trip number #GAKXHI. Our layover was in Atlanta George and we were to go to gate C43 (I believe) for flight #2641. We arrived at the gate with plenty of time and it stated the correct info of Dayton, Ohio at the gate. We went to the bathroom, got some water and shopped a little before going back to the gate. It still stated Dayton Ohio and never changed while we were there. We were speaking to a young lady that was traveling to Ohio for the first time. A man came up to us and asked if we were going to Dayton. And found out that the gate had changed but was not changed at the gate. We were not sent a email and out boarding passes still gave this gate. We thought we had 10 minutes only to find the doors closed when we arrived. Atlanta you have to get on a train to switch to the D gates from C gates. We called customer service and with a long discussion we found that they could not get us home till Saturday, June 25. So we took the reservation and had to find a hotel. I called the least expensive hotel for 2 nights that had a good write up. So we ended up with hotel cost, cab to hotel since the bus stopped at 11:00. We had no car or clothes so it was hard to get any items that we needed. I will work with my employer on the loss of income. And we are willing to take the loss for the small things needed. But we are asking to have the hotel stay returned to us since we do not feel that we have done anything wrong.

Delta Air Lines Delta check-in at JFK terminal 4

On Sunday 26th June, 19:35 (US time) I flew back to Amsterdam with flight DL0048 from JFK.

Shortly before 17:00 I arrived at Terminal 4, more than 2.5 hours before my flight as advised in one of Delta's emails. I only had hand luggage. Online check-in from home didn't work. At the airport self check-in didn't work either. Machine printed a message that I needed to see Delta employee for assistance, but there were none to provide that. I had to wait in the check-in + baggage drop off queue that spanned 1.5 times across the entire terminal, plus some additional circles. After waiting in that queue for 1.5 hours I had to jump to the front of the queue, because otherwise I would have missed my flight (as per Delta regulations passengers need to check in 60 minutes before departure minimum).

Departure time was delayed to 19:55. Nice, that's how I managed to still get my flight. (We eventually departed around 21:50 btw)

Complaint: the time to check-in with just hand luggage is way too long! People were enormously stressed. It was a bad experience!

Solution: reduce check-in time and/or more support at terminal (e.g. provide different queues for different departure times or more personnel to help edge cases)

Delta Air Lines Travel

To Whom It May Concern:

Mark Dollar, Debra Dollar,Jason Smith, and Brooklyn Spillman. Tuesday the Fourteen of June all four of us were flying out of Tampa Florida. Our flight kept getting pushed back.

Finally, we flew but our flight froms Detroit to Marquette Michigan already left. We talked to he help desk and they could'nt get a flight out until Friday due to flights being over sold. We spent the night at a hotel.

But Brooke and Jason had to miss another day of work. We decided to to rent a car to get to Marquette, and the gas reimbursement from Delta also for the remaining balance of our unused tickets. They said at the help desk that you would reimburse us for our gas, remaining ticket for the four of us and the rental car. Any questions contact me by email or [protected]

Delta Air Lines Taxi driver being a big aggressive with language

Delta taxi driver was very rude as I was loading taxi and putting my 3 children in the back. As I got in front he told me you have to ask for a 4 person taxi but He said he would take us he asked me to put seat belt on I didn’t want to go into why I Carnt have one on as it’s trauma related he told me if I didn’t I would have to get out the taxi we were a mile into the journey with my children and a lot of bags his tone was very aggressive so I had no choice to put the seat belt on a few minutes latter after trying to keep it away from my chest by holding it I started to panic and went to put the top of belt behind my heat he raised his voice telling me I will have get out of taxi if I don’t put it back on my chest I had to do as he said as I only had the money for the taxi ride then I would of been stranded he kept on with comments in a highish tone until I finally arrived at my drop off point I was relived to be out of his taxi I felt unsafe and he was a horrible person and shouldn’t talk to customers in the way he did I feel as I was a woman with 3 children all girls that he could speak to me aggressively, I don’t think he would of spoke that way if it was a male customer

Desired outcome: I think this driver needs an domestic violence course to under stand how to not speak to people or “women” in an aggressive, demanding, aggressive way I would also like a response of the company of actions taken

My husband and I are scheduled for trip confirmation #HV

BVP5E which is to leave Honolulu on SATURDAY Oct. 8th at 9:15 PM

Our flight not only has been changed by a few hours but buy an entire day

It is now scheduled to leave Sunday Oct 9th at 8:40 pm

This is costing us $450.00 for another night stay/ $20.00 in bus transfer change (charge) for a Total of $470.00.

I want to be compensated for the $470.00 it is costing us to have to stay an entire day in order to meet the new flight schedule.

I received the letter below from Delta regarding my flight from Honolulu to Buffalo, NY. Not only was the flight delayed they completely changed it to the following night. This is costing us $450.00 for an extra night and $20.00 for changing our airport transfer.

Delta Air Lines Flight cancelled

Our flight was cancelled 6/18/2022 from the Bahamas in the middle of the night. We woke to find we were put on another flight the next day 6/20/2022. When I was told there were no flights were available for us to get out on 6/19/2022. We also upgraded to first class using miles and I expect those back! We had to be back at work and my daughter had to return to school. We had to book a flight on United to get home on time. I am seeking reimbursement for the cost of the flights.

We are very loyal Delta customers, but this is ridiculous! Our flights departing was also changed in the night for no reason. I just happened to catch it at 2am...but really when you go to be for a 7 am flight you do not expect to have to check on it. No call nothing! When I called the customer service lady said she could not see a reason for the switch.

our flight GLYUZP, GHNEUA was postponed 3 times, my father was on hospice. When we arrived in At. we were delayed for two and half days. Then plane refueled at another airport, and we missed flight to Detroit. Delta didn't rebook us, flight delayed til next day on standby 3flights and 3 gates. Found out no one even activated our standby tix. Worst.

Desired outcome: Please refund three tickets plus the $300 for day extended tickets, food and hotel refund too Please contact me

Delta Air Lines Boarding denied

Request $830.00 refund for being denied boarding on confirmed flight.

Delta flight 1748 Austin TX Friday May 20, 2022 departure 0535AM boarding denied.

No explanation given.

I booked a ticket for my daughter to attend her grandmothers funeral in Detroit Michigan. (she lives in Texas) She was sent messages to allow her early check in and free baggage for one bag. Neither my daughter or I received any messages via text, email, or phone call to tell her that her ticket had been flagged as fraudulent. I was not notified by my credit card company of any wrongdoing on my account, rightfully so. I have been booking tickets for my children (different last names) for 40+ years. I live in Hawaii and they live in the mainland. I've never had this happen before. I received a call from my extremely upset daughter that she was at the gate and they wouldn't allow her board the flight or give her any information. I asked to speak with the gate agent and she was told that's not possible. I immediately called the customer service number and was not able to get a call back for over an hours. I also called my credit card company and they had not flagged any purchases on my account as fraud.

Mind you that with the time difference, it's one o'clock in the morning in Hawaii. Needless to say this was already a stress full time with a death of her grandmother. My daughter was going to give up and go back home since she would miss the viewing at the funeral home and there wasn't another flight leaving for hours. I purchased another ticket on flight DELTA 1748 at an additional $130.00 over what the original ticket cost.

When I finally got a call back from Lanai Clark, Delta CSR, now after two o'clock in the morning, she could only tell me that because the names were different on the ticket and credit card as being the reason for the denied boarding. She stated that when we got the text message to contact Delta we should have done complied. We never receive a message to contact Delta. Had we received a message to contact them we would have, I work at the airport in Honolulu and it would have been easy to contact Delta. They were able to contact my daughter to tell her she could check in her bags, but not to tell her her ticket was flagged?

I asked her to look at the new ticket i had just purchased and she stated that that too was flagged as fraudulent. Shouldn't it be up to the credit card company to determine fraud? I am speaking with a Delta rep and explaining all this to her and she's telling me there's nothing she can do! I'm dumbfounded. If a Delta rep can't help me out with a Delta problem, what am i suppose to do at three o'clock in the morning in Hawaii? I insisted that she get in touch with the fraud department and unflag the second ticket so that my daughter could get on the flight and get to her grandmothers funeral. Finally someone was able to unflag the second ticket and she waited over six hours to board another flight.

Desired outcome: Over booked flight customer issued $700.00 + the $130.00 addition cost of second ticket price difference. Total of $830.00 pain and suffering at a most stressful live event.

Delta Air Lines Delta companion tickets

We took out the more expensive American Express Delta Airlines Platinum card because it offered a once a year companion ticket. Well, Covid hit and we could not travel. Delta extended the time period to use the companion ticket. So we FINALLY were in a situation to use a companion ticket. Using Delta's online booking system, I finally found the companion tickets - we have THREE stacked up - clicked on the box to use it, began the ticketing process and when I got to the final charges, it did not look like the companion ticket was honored. Wanting the Delta tickets, I contacted live chat with Delta, after hearing by voice it would take a hour on hold to talk to a love person. Finally a person (Clarissa) came on and took forever to research the matter. After much time she referred it all to a Delta Skymiles specialist. It said a 9 minute hold time but it was more like 30 minutes. This Delta rep had to re-read the previous chat, came back to say give me some time — so I held. Finally she came back on saying the companion ticket would not be honored. At no time during the ticketing process was I warned that it coule not be applied. After asking for help to use the companion ticket. the Delta agent said she could not help and to call American Express, which I did by chat - and it said to call Delta instead. I was being given a runaround! We do not feel we are being given the value of this "perk" which Delta says American Express sets the rule. Basically, I lost an entire evening with zero results in being helped.

Desired outcome: for Delta to honor the companion ticket or American Express crediting the value of the companion ticket
