I am currently a student at Damelin. I registered In 2017 for Higher Certificate in Accounting. My company paid the entire course upfront and in full. I have been given such a run around to look textbooks that are outdated and are no longer being printed. I contacted the DCC support line who have assured me they will assist me in trying to find these books. I am unable to progress in my career and my company is getting frustrated with me interms of complicating my qualification as we do also have time restrictions. I have had instances where I was not registered to write in the hope the textbooks would have been found. Many textbook websites have been used on my end with no luck. The Damelin book store has still no located the textbooks. I am so angry with the fact that these textbooks are used as reference in the modules, but are no longer being printed... how can this be? I went to Monash university who told me this. Also If you might be wondering why since 2017 have I not qualified. Due to many times where I was not registered to write when I should have wrote, and had to pay from my pocket to get and extension. This is unacceptable.

I took a course a while back Bookkeeping with pastel and finished my course and when i wanted my diploma i was told i had to do the Pastel, after i was told i am finished with my course, okay i did the pastel and i sent in my assignments as required.

Then suddenly a person from Intec contacts me for the password for one of my assignments so i assume somewhere damelin and Intec work together, I've given him the password for the assignments twice already that he would have given to the tutor for marking and every time I email he will either get feedback from the tutor which he never responds afterwards or the last couple of times i have sent NUMEROUS emails asking for feedback with no response or reply at all. 

This is not the first time i have this problem and i am truly past the point of understanding every time and hearing the excuses, this is becoming a huge problem for me now because my chances of getting my diploma is getting slimmer because of other people's way of doing things. I want my assignments marked and i want my diploma without ANY problems because non off this is my fault.

Please sort out this problem for me because I am past my limit.
Please correspond via email as i want everything in writing.

Between me and my daughter we made more than 22 phone calls and sent out 19 emails, only to get no reply usable "it has been escalated to the awards department" and that is with every single call we make. We are waiting for her award now for 22 months and yet NOTHING happened. Damelin don't even call and explain. She have to enroll now for January 2020 for further studies via her company and yet no NQF marks available, this is the most unprofessional institution I ever heard of. Damelin was do quick to enroll her take our money that we had to pay for the course as well as the exams, but nor you are stealing from us as we have nothing yet to resolve this case. I have all the emails and wrote down all the call dates and times. I'm no going to take this up with my lawyer and lay a charge of fraud against Damelin. Please contact the student urgently of alternatively call me I'm her mom [protected]

So it's been a month already and still no one has helped me, I'm still waiting for ISBN numbers for my text books . I bought so many books and none of them is right and it's the exact books which they said I should use (which was only given names of the authors and only one book said 2012 and the rest I don't know ), But now the problem is that it's books published in 2012 no book store or what so ever has that version anymore.I've emailed damian.pillay@icg.edu.za numerous times and no one is getting back to me, I've even phoned, nothing and still no help . The lady that was assigned to help me doesn't even work for Damelin Correspondence Collage anymore . It's ridiculous having to struggle like this ! No textbooks = no work getting done.

MY son Paid for all is studies and all the test he wrote. its now a year and we have no result, on any test he wrote
I have mails to and from the andministrators there but no results, they just dont care .

I'm Menzi Cele I've registered with DCC in February 2019 for the Public Relations course and I was advised by the consultant that I must register the whole course and I did that, and on my further research I found that it was not necessary to register for the whole course because I've already done most of the modules. When I got back to the consultant he advised me to get an academic report from DCC. Since February I have been trying to get assistance from all possible DCC contact numbers and email addresses but I don't get any response from the college. I've also registered twice to write the outstanding subject but no rejection or acceptance letter received, the service that I'm expiriencing with DCC is very poor and depressing because I'm paying the college every month but what I'm getting is far from the service I'm expecting. Im a registered student at Damelin correspondence college studying towards conveyancing secretary diploma.

I paid to write exams in November at Damelin correspondence college and never recieved an email with the confirmation letter despite having received an SMS stating that timetables would be sent by the 11th of October 2019 yet I never received mine

I've sent multiple emails since stating that I cannot access the student portal on the Damelin correspondence collage website nor can I access the Damelin.me account on Outlook in response I was sent an email stating that my timetable and confirmation letter would be sent to my personal email address.

I sent an email on the 1st of November requesting a refund and cancellation of my contract with Damelin correspondence collage after checking my emails on that day and found that I still have not received any email from the College.

I have physically gone to the Durban branch and was put on the phone to speak with a lady who said that they are aware of my issue and that the email would be sent to me shortly she said this without asking my name or student number, I assumed that I was a singular issue and that they know who I am but clearly they had a lot of the same issue since I still have not received the email with the timetable and confirmation letter.

It's now the 4th of November and I can write exam due to not having a confirmation letter.

I called Damelin correspondence college on the 1st of November and I was on hold for over nine minutes until I ran out of airtime.

I haven't received any communication from the college since the last email which stated that my issue has been forwarded to the examination department.
I have heard a word from the examination department either.

I fear because my contract with the college ends this current month of November and if this issue isnt sorted out Damelin correspondence college will get away with not delivering a service that I paid for.

I have no outstanding amount and I paid the examination fees in full.

My name is chaney kilian student no 426214, this is my final year studying hospitality management. On the 23rd of october I received my exam conformation letter but not all of my subjects I paid for is on the time table, I immediately send a mail requesting an updated letter with all 9 subjects on, two days later I asked again. I have been phoning the land line [protected] I was given but there is no answer. This happened last year as well and I need to write the 9 exams so that I can finish my course. I have never ever received such bad service in my life. The hardest thing is that I pay for service i'm not getting. Please get back to me regarding my situation.

I just want to finish what I started, I will not recommend any one to join unless the providing of service I improves.

It is with great concern that I write this email today.

I have submitted 3 assignments in March and written 3 exams in June and have not received a statement of results to date, neither have a received any of the marked assignment or exam scripts sent back to me.

I have made numerous phone calls over the past few months and all the consultants tells me the exact same thing that they will submit an urgent request and email the results to me.

I have seen some results on the website, however it changes from time to time, so would call in requesting accurate results and receive the same responds above.

I have sent numerous emails and below is the type of responses I received.

I do however receive weekly SMS's or phone calls regarding payments and this raises a huge concern to me, as this seems to be a money making scheme as the interest of the fees are greater than the student support I have been receiving.

I have paid close to R15000.00 (fifteen thousand rand) towards this course and have not received a single form of results or communication from Damelin.

I have taken it up upon myself as a student to do regular follow ups even though it is not my responsibility and still I have not received anything, it is the responsibility of the School to provide myself as a student my results timeously, and advise accordingly if there should be any delays.

At this stage I have no idea what the status of my course is, what my results are, if I should re-write any exams, if I should re-submit any assignments?this brings me to a point of confusion with no direction as to what the next step is.

I'm not sure how to prepare for the exams I have registered for in November, as I have not received any assignment results for the assignments submitted in September, neither have I received any confirmation that it was received, neither have I received exam confirmation for November.

I am completely shocked at the level of service and student support I am receiving from this institution and have no other alternative to take this matter further.

I've sent the above email to Damelin College 3 weeks ago and have done 3 follow ups, no response received to date.

I am writing this with so much frustration and anger, I tried to enrol with this college early last year and was not happy with the pace in which things were done firstly they enrolled me in a subject that was not even mentioned in my registration form and the process of changing it back to the original one which I had requested was such a hassle so I spoke with the representative via email and phone and asked her to put a halt on my application, I was then redirected to The manager who assured me that the course is canceled we came to an understanding . Till this day I get emails saying my account is suspended when I try to call I'm redirected to 50 people of which non can assist me . Please get back to me I don't understand why the manager told me it's done when I didn't fill in any cancellation forms and now I owe 22000 ridiculous ! I don't want to receive further emails from you guys please proceed with the cancellation that apparently did not happen

My I write this as last resort now since I don't know what else to do or Whom I should voice my complaints to.

My issue has been coming since I enrolled in 2016 - ranging from Not receiving the exam venue after almost begging them to please please send me exam confirmation which I received late, to not even receiving the exam results and being sent from post to pillar as to who to talk to.

DCCexams / assignments and especially the "student consultants" are very useless as they Never respond to enquiries IF they eventually do, its too late - past the time frame for exam enrollments.

I spoke to Geraldine Japhta on numerous times with no help and also with Thabang Molongwane (who was the most helpful and professional of all the consultants I dealt with) I only received sms with the first 2 exams I wrote in 2016/17 but the 2018 ones the assignments were also not added to the final exam marks .. I keep getting the "your correspondence was received ..blah blah" but no real feedback about what is happening.

Then I request for a statement of ALL my exam results so I can submit to my employer then they claim I didn't write .. what is going on there? .. My course was/is Fully paid not owing and my exams fees aswell but the service I received one whould swear I had outstanding monies.

That's what makes me angry, I feellike I just wasted my money and threw in an empty pit and hve nothing to show for it. Its a great loss to me because I really thought this institution was professional but I misjudged it, I wont make the mistake to recommend it to anyone- friend or foe ... its not worth losing money to.

Now I have to go and register at a REPUTABLE INSTITUTION where I will get my money's worth. All my communications are on record - 428870 - disappointment doesn't begin to describe how I feel about you Damelin

I have a problem here where I was about to further my studies with Damelin as my department was going to grant the staff bursaries and unfortunately that did not happen and I already paid a thousand rand to Damelin's FNB account using my ID number as the reference hence I was not yet registered as the student with them.

I then asked for my refund and I spoke to Shane Shaw and emailed him the proof of payment and I have been waiting to hear from him for as long as I can remember and when I called him on [protected] on the 22 October 2019, I was advised that he is no longer working for Damelin since the beginning of October 2019 and that there hasn't been any replacement as yet as the school is busy with interviews and unfortunately I believe I will have to start this from scratch with another person who will be replacing Mr Shaw and I will have to wait decades again to get an answer from Damelin, Very disappointed with all of this, I never expected something like this from the Giant Correspondence College such as Damelin.
