I am waiting for handover of my property at Damac Hills. I have been waiting for months. The property is ready. I have complained time after time and explained my issues to Damac. I had a call from a lady called Suzanne on 3rd of July. Whilst she appeared sympathetic, she informed me she would make some enquiries and revert to me. I did not hear from her and instead my complaint on the portal has been closed without satisfactory resolution. How much effort is there for her to at least fulfill her promise of calling me back.
This company is a sham. I have paid the money and when they want to sell, they will promise the earth to you. When you want your goods, to them delays of months are insignificant. They want your money and that is all. Their customer services skills and non-existant and they have no sympathy or empathy for you. Handover is supposed to take place now, yet when phone calls are made, there is no person with knowledge or any information they will share with you. How difficult is it to tell someone when they will get the keys to a property. This is shere lack of incompatency on Damac's part.
Their heads sit in their ivory towers boasting about how great they are, perhaps they should take a look at how they treat people once entrapment takes place.
I want my house, I want to enable my family to have a home and we have been living a nomadic lifestyle. Someone help me. I would like Suzanne from Damac to ring me back and if she is so lazy like the rest of them, then someone with their high flying profile to have the courtesy to fulfill their promise, tell me what is going on. I am now complaining to the Municipality.
How dare Damac close down my complaint without dealing with the issue.

I was informed through the DAMAC website that there is a Launching for the REVA Residence in Dubai on Jan27, 2018.
They visited Hyderabad India and had a stall in Taj Banjara.

One guy who is actually the employee of the DAMAC Properties asked me to pay 10, 000 Dirhams to block a apartment which i liked, .. please note i only blocked it and never booked it. Next day somehow i decided not to go ahead and called them to cancel the same. Now the token advance to block the property is not being given to me since Jan saying the amount is with Dubai Regulatory Authority .

He never told me that this money is non refundable and i am being lied that the amount is with Dubai Authorities.

I do not want to buy the property now and hence looking for way to get my refund money back.

Worth to mention the following fact not to re- discuss and have have negative energy.
1- The service charge was discussed through you that I I have to pay and end it up that it was wrong from Damac side as the system was not checked prior on advance talking to the client.

2- I have over due which is completely wrong statement. This proven again by the prove of payments that I have sent every installment to the collection department. With no such record I am not sure why Damac is requesting the client to send the prove if they don't record it. Hence the client has to every time prove that he did pay.

3- Kindly send me the compline format as I am very disappointed with the service I received after the sales. Despite that I have 3 units from Damac. This my worth experience I have ever had.

4- During the sales and agreement sherif said on the handover Damac will take care.
Also this wrong statement and promise which is not far. Anyway will do it yet the attraction prior to sales promise the moon. Yet the fact and experience is completely different.

I bought a property at Damac more than 4 years ago. The Damc team has been very unprofessional since the beginning of the projects, the project kept getting delayed without any notice or explanation to the investors/owners. Till now while the land departments website confirms that project has been 100% completed there is no confirmation from Damac regarding the handover of the property. I regret having investing with Damac and would urge Damac team to improve their customer relationship / communication with customers and complete projects on time

I attended a DAMAC presentation in the UK and after going through, I had asked the sales director that I can only purchase if they can provide the 720 day payment plan., , he said he would try and that he would not take NO for a answer from his bosses, in fact he seemed so confident that he would be able to do the deal, I asked him again, in the presence of my family and his staff, again he seemed and acted very confident, so I paid 5000AED by credit card. After we left the presentation within minutes, I decided to send the sales director a email confirming the points we had talked about and the fact that the purchase can only proceed subject to the payment plan being approved. He phoned back and started to say that he had not spoke of such thing etc. I was extremely worried as I had paid 5000AED and this was within 15minutes of the transaction. I sent several emails and he is now refusing to refund the deposit.

At the time of taking the deposit he did not mention that the deposit was non refundable, otherwise I would not have given the money.

I feel that this person has deliberately mislead me and it's very upsetting that he may be spoiling the good name of DAMAC.

My family is extremely upset as 5000AED is money earned from hard work and sweat.

We are honest straightforward people, thinking that we were dealing with a honest company.

I am worried as what to do now.

Hi,

One guy who is actually the employee of the DAMAC Properties with the name of AMRIT JARIA Sales Manager start pushing me to transfer the money from my credit card.

He never told me that this money is non refundable.

He used the name of other guy. Due to my own circumstances, I do not want to buy the property.

Please refund my money.

AC not working, exhaust in the toilet not working, leak in the toilet sink, I just moved in 2 days ago.. Uppercrest room 1608.. Plus maintenance people in the building are useless, dont know anything they always say damac damac, they told me to call damac customer service number but when I called they said they dont deal directly with tenants and let building management call them. What is that? for a new property I expected more, very dissapointed.

On 9th of October I submitted a request to update the contact details of the company in order to get the latest service maintenance statement for the apartment that our company has in Madison Astor (AST/1/113) building developed by Damac property. They replied that in order to update the information, they needed the contact detail update form to be signed by authorized signatory and along with his passport copy to be sent to them. Everything was done, then on 16th of October they asked for the company documents to be provided (including recent incumbency certificate which cost us USD 500 to request). Everything was done and sent. Now they came back with new requirement to ask shareholders to send the request from their personal e-mails. Moreover, they don't even have any registered e-mail of any shareholder. So anyone can send that e-mail and confirm the authenticity of the information. Moreover, 1 week before I submitted the request of change of contact details I received a call from Damac properties and they asked me to settle the due payment, which means that they had my contact details. So I want to settle the bill but I can't get the statement for payment. Non-sense. And because of that I have payment overdue.
The e-mail that was registered before is not valid for 2 years. The person has resigned.

We went to rent a townhouse at akoya project at damac hills[right name would be damac hell]
from the 1st impression your talking to totally non-professional and non-presentable persons;
ignoring custumers;they are avoiding being engaged with any one;each sending you to another as busy while they are not;waiting outside the office[smoking;eating;joking;...]after hours;just signed checks.
Regarding front yard;left unprocessed just sandy;you have to manage it ?on your own;ok;but no water supply, no electrical extension;you have to do it on your own ;needs to contact damac contractor and it will take long time[we kept coming and going with no single on to tell you who will manage and when;how much it coasts;give us time to ask for you;2 days;further 2 days;no reply;you can not finish this by your own;only should be through your contractor[non-exsisting]all these discussions were not simple as such but through stupid conversations with unrespectable people with no available manager at all;but just stupid impolite at all;lastly we decided to rent an apartment instead;another bad story begins;sctratched walls;dirty washrooms;poorly working ac;no available connections for dish washer;i can not describe how bad is the behavour of liason office, maintenance, finance office

Dear Management,

I am living in Damac building, Lincoln Park Tower North, since 6 months only and already decided to move before the contract ends.
I have lost my bag with the access cards from the building, pool and apartment (1). I still have one card from the apartment but I can not enter the building as per the new rules that you issued ! I am staying in front of the building, security guy looking at me and waving the access card and me I am just praying that a neighbor will come to open the door for me.
Going to the management office of the buildings, found out that for each access card you are charging 250 Dirhams. This is unbelievable and unacceptable.
The AC is breaking down every 2 weeks for which I am using ONLY your ICE services that are extremely expensive.
Overall, everything is going wrong and expensive.
Luckily you are not charging for the air that I breath in your buildings, anyway even that one is full of dust.

Thank you for the experience of staying in Damac Buildings. At least from now I know which real estate developer to avoid.

Im staying in Lago Vista A tower, the flat always has smoky air regardless if Ac is working or not. I complained to management office and was informed that they are switching off exhausting at night so the air is not going out of the building but circulates in. After i raised a complaint ( i guess i wasnt only one) they said that they will keep on exhausting for 24 hrs in two days. However they started switch it off during a day. Now we are back to the beginning its completely switched off, unable ti breath at night and it even burns eyes, Sleeping with open balcony door. Trying to move out of this hell. NEVER move in to Lago Vista buildings...management uneducated, cant get proper information or any solution. Complete ignorance to the building issues.

Damac requested me to sign the handover agreement before inspecting my apartment. they promised to fix finding within no time. I trusted the handover team and went to the apartment and I was shocked with the quality of finishing as attached. I filed a request to fix the findings in September and until this moment no response from Damac stating the problem is fixed.

What is the proper way for filing a complain with the government?

Can anyone offer any assistants, I’m really at an end and could do with some help.
Damac are really awful company to deal with and all they are interested in screwing you for your money. I am so anger I even got in touch with RERA last week but not an even an acknowledgment reply back. Investing in this country has been my biggest regret, all my life saving have gone and I have fear of losing more than half if not all.
It seems no one give a dam when you try to complain even when you write to RERA an UAE government body. You really not protected in this country. It’s not like UK where people are willing to listen and help against rogue developers.
The law in UAE is a very grey and it’s doesn’t protect the innocent against developer such as Damac who only want to shaft you.
If there is anyone, anyone at all who can help please get in touch it would be much appreciated.

Damac Luxury is the worst company I have ever worked for.
I hope to alert whoever got a job proposal by them. Watch out!
Their personnel treatment is awful as they tried to play smart with who is writing: they asked me to cancel my Visa before get my last salary which is against the law. The marketing is incompetent and useless with no skills and knowledge of the basics. They have the fortune of having a luxury brands in retail and they are spoiling this brand keeping the prices + 30-35% than the actual pricelists and with 4 months delivery time because of their internal procedure. this company is a shame and a bunch of incompetent people.
