Dallas BBQ hostess/manager

I visited your Fordham/Cedar avenue location and was very offended by something that occurred. I arrived at the location at approximately 8:05pm to meet my companion for dinner upon entering I informed the hostess I was awaiting someone's arrival and would like to be seated at a booth . She stated they were cleaning a booth I could wait on a bench to the right of the restaurant, after sitting there about five minutes I realized that the booth she had pointed out along with another she escorted 2 parties immediately upon their entry, I then went back over and once again asked for a booth she then stated there were none available, but said she could sit me at a table if I was gonna order while awaiting my companion and when a booth became available she would transfer me. I ordered a drink and appetizer it was during this time I once again watched her place another arriving party of 2 at a booth. I then asked the very pleasant young lady who was my server please ask the hostess about the booth because my party had arrived, instead of waiting I accompanied her and the hostess who had been speaking in very clear English prior explain in Spanish to her that I couldn't be moved because I had already ordered under the young lady's area and none was available I made her aware that I understood what she had said in Spanish and asked why were entering guest placed in booths after I specifically asked.To calm the situation the server then requested the manager for me but instead of him being apologetic he was somewhat confrontational in explaining the rules that's once I ordered I was not allowed to be moved to another area, I explained the situation in its entirety and all he stated was that he would speak to the hostess. I was very offended being African American and told no booths were available after watching approximately 4 -5 parties of Hispanic descent be placed in booths upon entering. I'm not one of sorts to insinuate a racial issue but I truly felt this was one due to the hostess actions and then to address me in English but once there was a issue she spoke in Spanish to the server until I stated whether you say it in English or Spanish I fully understand what you are saying. I feel the manager coming over and immediately stating rules to me as if I'm supposed to be aware of them and not asking me as the consumer what transpired only added insult to injury my companion who was not there prior also felt the managers approach wasn't fair . He then stated we could move to a empty booth across from us and walked off. It was my companion and I that transferred my ordered items from one table to the other .I'd greatly appreciate if you would look into this situation because it wasn't handled professionally in my opinion. The young lady who was the initial server was very polite and apologetic but I feel that should have been the managers responsibility. I would really hate to think that this is how this establishment is run with there being some sort preferential treatment according to race or culture. We ordered our food but took it home almost in its totality because of the vibe I received. I was disgusted and offended in the way of which this was handled but did my very best in composing myself where as someone else may not have because it was truly unfair.I'd greatly appreciate if you would look into this matter If for no other reason than to make sure so no one else has to feel as I did this evening. Oh you foolish child. Your being African American had nothing to do with your not getting a booth. Stop with the race card. It is getting old. You say that you are not one to insinuate racism but that is the first thing to penetrate your thick skull. If this were true you would not even suggest this. The same rules apply to EVERYONE This includes White, Black, Oriental, Indian Hispanic ect. It is only racism if it applies to one set of people. Kids these days.

Dallas BBQ food missing and customer service

I place an order online and when I got the deliver I had food missing in my order so I call the place they transfer to the manager he ask for my name and he couldn't find it so I give him the order number 766303 I order the steak shrimp and chicken the shrimp was missing and also we order burger add pickles and bacon neither the pickles or bacon was in the order after I give the manager the order number he hang up so I call back again and he said I found the order so he order to send just the stuff was missing I told him I pay for my food hot not to wait until the rest gets here and eat it cold he said ok we send another order just send the food back but the way he handle the issue was bad because I know people make mistakes but he didn't try to amend the problem he just wanted to correct what was missing I waited for My order almost an hour do you think I'm going to wait another hour to get the missing stuff not good customer service and he didn't even apologize for the misunderstanding he just hang up on me unbelievable last time I order I had stuff missing as well and they give me credit but I didn't make any problem because it was just fries and now this I don't like complaining about people but they should try little better to handle issues like this especially we are paying customers and I been ordering for long time from the company I would take picture of the food but I'm so upset I already pack the food and put in the bag waiting for my hot food my email is [protected]@yahoo.com

Dallas BBQ poor communication & customer service

When my brother and i were first seated we were told to sit at a table directly next to a couple. We asked if we could sit in the table behind us and she simply said "No". When i asked why, she stated that "thats not where i seated you and you cant sit there" i then questioned her by asking what the difference was and she still wouldn't budge. I then spoke to the manager and he ignored our complaint and sat us in a chair that clearly hadn't been cleaned. On top of all of this, my brother (47 years old) is asked for an i.d and when he notices he left his whole wallet, hes shows a picture and they say that "because of our complaint we cant do anything about it"

Dallas BBQ service

We visited this location on 9/14 at around 4pm. The hostess was incredibly rude, a customer service training is an understatement. She spoke to ever patron with an attitude. I could take her rudeness. After she seated us she told us our waiter would
Be 5 minutes. My waiter didn't show up for about 15 minutes. She walked by our table about 4 times before she decided to take our order. Considering how long she took we decided to order everything at once just in case she disappeared again and to ensure we didn't have the same issue as the table
Next to us. In which she seemed to forget an order. Overall I won't be coming here again or to any BBQ's.

Dallas BBQ manager or supervisor

To whom it may concern:

Dear sir or miss, on sunday 15th september 2019, about 3:45 pm, my wife, grandson, and myself enter one of your restaurants on bartow ave in the bronx ny to dine. After being ushered to our table to be seated, it took quite sometime before someone came over to take our order. (maybe about 10 minutes or more) but that was not the issue. Upon exiting the diner about 4:50 pm we were leaving single file my wife, my grandson, (who is just 3 years old by the way, and myself) as it was somewhat crowded towards the front of the restaurant. As I passed the stairway for the 2nd floor, your manager/ supervisor, (did not want to properly identify himself) another worker had to give us a 1st name only. Which I interpret to mean marion, rushed pass and bump me out the way, and said nothing. I immediately turn around and said, "well excuse me"! He then said to me, "no, you excuse me, whats the big deal I bump into you what do you want? Sarcastically he said,"I am sorry, now get the [censored] out of here"I then said"what the hell you carrying on like that for, what is wrong with you?"he then went into a obscene tirade."who the [censored] is you, come up in here disrespecting me like that because I [censored]ing bump you, get the [censored] out of here! I then said to him... "you the manager and carrying on like that? You are a [censored]ing idiot! He then said to me..." you are lucky I am working now, because if I catch you anywhere on the streets I will [censored] you up!"I then repeated what I told him before... You are a [censored]ing idiot! My wife tried to speak to him, he refused to give any of his information. What made me more annoyed was the fact that he was rushing pass me just to go and stand with an employee to chit chat. No emergency there!
At this point I am contemplating legal council because of the threat made to my person. I cannot go to a diner to eat with my family and have my life be threatened by, of all persons a manager of a restaurant. I will not be going back to dallas bbq again, and I will strongly encouraged all my family members and friends to stay away. I know you have video cameras in your facility and your manager might be tempted to edit them, otherwise you should have a good account of your manager"s behavior as well as mine.

Dallas BBQ Customer service

Me and my friend decide to celebrate her new baby news at Bbqs. We walked in there was 2 waitress sitting right across the entrance so we waited to be seated and they never came so we had to walk to them to ask them were to sit and then he was like u go and I don't want to go like a back and forth then lady got up. she took our order and we never saw her again till it was time to pay anytime we needed something we had to ask someone else. So we paid gathered our stuff we said bye have a good evening she looked at us and continued doing what she was doing never smiled said ok nothing witch was very rude u already didn't help us now we're saying by ignoring us.

Dallas BBQ my waiter and manager

I was at Dallas barbecue on 23rd and 8th Avenue corner in Manhattan New York City. My waiter took 15 minutes to get us water and sprite and we sat next to a man who was caughing the whole time we asked a waiter to give us new cornbread he did not give us new cornbread right away he wrapped up the old cornbread but the old cornbread was coughed on by the man he did get it right but he was very yet annoyed with me in my wife. I spoke to the manager and the manager said he carn do nothing to do he said he he didn't even apologize and he was very rude to myself and my wife this happen on September tent around 7:45 p.m. at the Dallas barbecue on 23rd and 8th add New York City

Dallas BBQ customer service/payment /manager

I visited Dallas BBQ on 9/1/2019 around 1:30-2pm. It was a group of 4 of us that came to have lunch there. When I got there, we were sitted next to a section where there was a huge fly. It was so disgusting and kept circulating the area. I mentioned it to the waitress and she seemed to have an attitude and roll of eyes. Talk about horrible people skills and definitely not trying to please the customer. It took about 12 minutes for a server to come take our order. When I got there, I asked the server if we could have two separate checks. She was rude about it and said no. I asked to speak to the manager because I always ask for separate checks. Why should I pay for other peoples food and I don't like splitting it in half because someone always pays for more. I waited about 15 minutes before speaking to the manager Victor. I felt like he was racist towards me because i didn't speak Spanish. Mind you, before coming to the table it seemed like he was just laughing and giggling with two of the female workers there. How unprofessional! So when he came, he said no you can't split the bill. He advised if I wanted to sit at two different tables next to my friend and her daughter and my child and I sit at another table. Wouldn't that be rude ? He said thats the only way that I could get a separate bill.
I ordered aDiet Coke and it tasted really really flat. I ordered the 1/4 chicken meal for $9.99. It tasted undercooked. It was really white and didn't look cooked well. I didn't want to get sick from it. IT comes with a side so I ordered fries with it. But my receipt shows that $3.99 was charged for the fries. I asked for the ranch dressing and was told that we have no ranch. I never heard that. My child and friends child ordered mac and cheese and it came up 3 times on the receipt. It was only supposed to come up 2 times
I was so disappointed. I wish I could get at least a gift card for the poor service, un attentive and rude manager. If you need to contact me, my email is [protected]@gmail.com

Dallas BBQ Service

Was seated about 25 mins... Another couple came in after us and was seated after us was served... 4 waiters walked by my table and did not acknowledge us sitting there . Tried to communicate to the manager whose name was Robert did not want to speak to us. I use to love going to your establishment but now I will consider it and will advise my friends to avoid this restaurant

Dallas BBQ service

My group of 7 was quoted a time of 15-20 mins. After 40 minutes waiting no communication one of the members of my party went to the host/hostess desk and was told they cannot accommodate 7 people. So I walked over to speak to the mgr Lyn who proceeds to debate with me . My statement was if it was taking longer because we are a larger party we could have been presented with options instead over passing us over. He said that the time is approximate which I am aware of. I don't appreciate the manager arguing with me. A manager is supposed to handle himself better. Another employee interceded in order to diffuse the situation. She was much better at addressing customers.

Dallas BBQ manager-unprofessional service

Eating a celebartory dinner with a friend I was very disappointed with the experience I encountered when I asked for extra ranch dressing in a bowl to dip my hot wings. This same SIZE bowl is used to give patrons barbeque sauce if ribs or chicken are ordered. The server was nice. She explained that she could not give me ranch in the bowl per management. I then preceded to ask her to have the Manager come to my table.
I have been eating at BBQ's have of my life and have NEVER encountered so much aggravation over this ranch dressing.! I have bragged to almost eveyone I know to have them to get it everytime they eat at this establishment. Well needless to say, I will not be telling anyone else. The Manager Dave comes over and starts to go into all these different reasons why giving extra ranch in a bowl is not allowed unless you pay for it.
I ask is this something new, he doesn't answer but goes on to say some servers follow instructions, and others are fired because they do different. My friend says but what about the customer. ..? Don't you want to make sure the customer is satisfied. All this back and forth really got me upset because if this is the road
BBQ 's is starting to go down then that would make sense why on a Thursday evening the place was half empty!
I paid for the ranch, ate half my food and took the rest home. I gave the server a nice tip becuase she was more understanding than the Manager. Maybe they should switch positions.
Don't have any intentions of eating there again. It's too many other places that make chicken and provide you with all the sauces you desire. I had no issue with paying that wasn't the problem. I did not like the manner in which I was informed I could not have extra unless I paid. I really don't think BBQ's will be filing chapter 11 anytime soon over ranch dressing!

Dallas BBQ customer service

I am complaining because I was not satisfied with my service. I had to stand up to get the managers attention (because our server was no where to be found after taking our order) to order another drink. When addressed to server of the poor service and gratuity added to check that was not earned the response attitude and total disregard from the server and the manager was totally unacceptable. I will never dine at that establishment again

1. Never received a glass of water that was requested.
2. Was not checked on once after order was taken.
3. Had to stand to get someones attention to get attended
4. Was brushed off by manager when complained about service.
5. Requested for gratuity to be adjusted and was told No it was rang up already.

Dallas BBQ Salad

We ordered takeout from BBQ UES. We ordered a garden salad, cole slaw and chicken etc. As I was eating I chewed something extra crunchy. I decided to see what it was because it felt like sand. When I spit it out it was glass. The restaurant was contacted and the manager (Segar) said the only thing he could do is "replace the salad and cole slaw." He was so rude he didn't even ask if I was ok. In fact, he didn't even offer to get rid of the entire batch of salad. I feel that would have been the right thing to do so that other patrons health would not be compromised. I could have been seriously hurt, luckily my mouth was not cut and I hope I didn't ingest any of the glass.

Dallas BBQ manager disrespecting me as a customer after addressing my concerns

My name is Lawrence Page, I ordered non alcoholic ice teas for my friend and I, before the food came in we finished our drinks and the bus boy came in with our food. I asked him if there are free refills, he said yes and placed in another order of drinks. As the server came in with our drinks no one warned me it'd cost extra each time I ordered a refill.

I see the bill and got charged for all the refills. I brought it to the attention of Manager Dennis at the Times Square location. He told me they charge for refills (which I can understand) and said I made the mistake of ordering from the bus boy instead of my server. I told him,

Me: "I can't pay for a mistake an employee someone under you made"

and he replied

Dennis "that's not my fault, you should have ordered from the server."

Me: "I feel like I was tricked into the sale, and very disrespected, can you help me out please and understand where I'm coming from as a customer? Its an inconvenience and its an extra I wasnt expencting to spend."

Dennis: "bus boys don't make orders, they clean up your table and bring your order. It's not my fault you made that dumb mistake. We're not supposed to tell you the price of the drink" (THAT LAST LINE MADE NO SENSE TO ME BY THE WAY.)

Me: "I don't work here or in the restaurant industry I'm just a customer. Bus boys and servers wear the same thing and look the same to me. An employee here made a mistake. And please don't disrespect me."

Dennis: "you're disrespecting me because you're not listening to what I'm saying, there's nothing I can do you have to pay."

After this experience, I feel uncomfortable now going to ANY Dallas BBQ's after all these years of going because I feel like I'll be tricked, and be disrespected by staff when I go. I'm not looking for any return or vouchers (although that would be appreciated after spending an extra $14 on iced teas) I'm hoping to speak to Manager Dennis on treating customers with more respecting and not calling my decisions "dumb"

I also feel like a big company like Dallas BQQ's can take care of a simpled issue like this concerning non alcoholic drinks and me being told the wrong information (that there are free refills and proceeded to place another order)

Dallas BBQ unauthorized credit card charges

we have to have in Dallas BBQ Co-op city location
my server name was Zuleika order#666159 table 53
I bill was $107.73 i paid with my credit card the full amount of $107.73 on the paper receipt i put $ 0 for tip and left a $10.00 cash tip for my server. But i check my credit card statement online today 05/21/19 and see that i got charged $122.73 so the server added herself a 15% tip without my authorization. I got both of my receipt as proof. I called my bank and they are investigating this fraud charge against this server and Dallas BBQ. I imagine how many people the staff do unauthorized transaction to get extra money. I think it very unprofessional and ethical that staff would robbery there clients.

Dallas BBQ never received my order kept on hold 2+ hrs mother’s day

2hrs waiting for a delivery that never arrived. Called the number listed on the website thinking it was the restaurant but 20 something calls later turns out it's a call center. Called and kept on hold for more than an hour. Constantly being transferred and hung up on. $65 order on Mother's Day never came. My dinner never arrived and I was stuck having to run around with a family of 5 for dinner. Was transferred from one person to another and was told they will call back but they never did. At one point I had 4 phones on hold waiting for a resolution to salvage what ever I could for Mother's Day. Still waiting for an answer! I want FULL REFUND ! THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE AND UNACCEPTABLE! I was charged and I received NOTHING!

Dallas BBQ food not fully cooked and very poor customer service.

On Thursday evening of 5/9/2019 my husband purchased $52 of chicken wings for our family dinner. When we went to serve the chicken and they were not fully cooked. Today Friday 5/10/2019 my husband and I both attempted to contact and speak to a manager we kept being placed on hold. Each time we were placed on hold the person was rude and didn't want to give their name when asked. The last time I called I was on hold for 26 minutes and 17 seconds and never received any assistance. I have never received such poor service in all the years of visiting any of the Dallas Bbq's restaurants. My family has celebrated birthdays, graduations, anniversaries etc. I'm appalled at the service we received, or should I say didn't receive.

Dallas BBQ victor

This particular person was very racist and rude and his customer service skills suck. I came to this establishment with a party of 6 and asked for a booth in particular and was told, "no". However when I looked across from us it was the same party as the people that came with me, just that they were the same race as he was. He was very rude and gave me the card of the wrong person, and also gave me the wrong name. I found out from another employee what his real name was. He spoke down to me, and I asked him, "would he speak to his wife or mom like that", and that if I was a male he wouldn't speak to me n that manner. I feel very hurt and offended and I've never had this problem here before😡

Dallas BBQ server was inappropriate and so was the manager

Tanisha was my server and was being inappropriate and stated she wanted assault someone, which made my dining experience with my family horrible. When asked for the manager, Connie, she disregarded anything I was saying. I will not be going back to BBQs and I will let others know about my experience. This is supposed to be a family oriented restaurant but I guess it isn't.

Dallas BBQ allergic reaction

Saturday night My Fiance and I ordered the sticky wings along with buffalo wings and rice. Our 3 year old son ate a few pieces of the sticky wings while at home a few hours later he broke out in massive hives and red spots, itching crying and screaming. He had a severe allergic reaction to something and the only thing that he is allergic to is eggs. I retrace my steps as to what he ate and he did not have eggs or anything with eggs. My sister is a nurse and she ask me maybe they battered the chicken with egg. I then called your restaurant on 42nd st. I spoke to a young lady and asked, she said yes. I explain to her that it would be nice that it would be noted on the menu or to a customers attention for allergy purposes, because my son is allergic to eggs extremely and now he is suffering from allergic reaction. The young lady response was "oh ok" and disconnected the call. This is unacceptable. I would like to have a supervisor contact me in regards to this. If i have to contact corporate or some one higher authorities I will to make sure that no one else will experience this.
