Expensive 1500VA UPS with USB and RS-232 communication ports never reliably communicated with the host Windows PC over multiple PCs, USB and serial ports tested. CyberPower REFUSED to accept ANY responsibility for their apparent improper implementation of USB / Serial COM protocols acceptable to Windows. The result is an expensive unit (>$400) that must be attended since without the ability to communicate with the host system I cannot setup auto-shutdown parameters. So in a power outage, if I am not around to manually shutdown the system, the UPS runs out of backup power in less than 10 minutes, kills power to the system which does a "disorderly" shutdown. You DO NOT want such a shutdown on a Windows System.
