CubeSmart Climate controlled unit

My name is Kristin Timmons in Shreveport, LA. I had a unit on E. 70th in Shreveport, LA. I have called SEVERAL times with a promise that some type of supervisor would get back with me. Nobody ever has. I paid $170+ for one month of a climate controlled unit. The electricity went out. In Louisiana 100+ degree weather for three weeks. I could not get in to remove my things before my renewal, even though I tried. Because there was no way to get in through the keypad, call anybody, have anybody meet me. Nothing. So I got one free month. Even though I wasn't planning on being there that month. When I was able to gain access to get my things out, there was leather ruined and art sliding off in the frames due to the extreme heat and humidity. I have been asking for a refund for the month that I paid for that was supposed to be climate controlled. There's no way it was climate controlled, because there was no electricity. The office didn't inform anybody that there was no power. In fact, I was told when I went up there one time, that people were only allowed in the building for up to five minutes, and with an employee, because the heat was so dangerous. I was then told that it would be on in three days. Three weeks later it was still out. I need a refund. Yesterday. This was back in August and I still haven't been able to get anybody to talk to me. What's even more disturbing is the lack of communication when it came to to people's belongings. Pharmaceutical reps keep their medication samples there because it is climate controlled. Medications that need to be climate controlled can become damaged or useless. They weren't told, and they probably still don't know about it. Not only that, but people pay for a service because the belongings they store in a climate controlled storage unit, NEED TO BE CLIMATE CONTROLLED. The customer service, communication, and lack of follow up is infuriating, irresponsible, and flat out rude. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with anybody in a supposed professional environment. I wonder what all the people who were renting these units would say if they knew they were paying for absolutely nothing for a month, and their belongings could be ruined, damaged, or even dangerous after this. Can somebody PLEASE give me a call back. It's not the regional manager, district manager, and definitely not the site manager as all of these pe-ople have done nothing. That includes zero communication. My number is [protected].

I am also on the board of a nonprofit furniture bank that furnishes homes for those transitioning out of homelessness. Many of the items in my storage unit were going to be donated, but were stained or smelled because of mold and mildew. The nonprofit, Renesting Project, Inc., can't take items that are damaged. So thanks for that as well. Please feel free to reach out to me, and I will be happy to give you the name and number of the President of the Board so she can verify. She was very much present.

CubeSmart Property getting destroyed

I am contacting you because our storage unit is full of rodent feses and urine. The store put out traps but it is worse. My husband went on 11-29-2022 at 3pm-6:30, attempting to clean up some of it. He had to throw away alit of our clothing, and shoes because they are making nests out of our stuff. We pay entirely to much $ for our unit for this to be.

Desired outcome: We would greatly appreciate a response. Thank you

CubeSmart DON'T USE THEM!! They are thieves!!

I have been a customer for over 5 years at this storage location and when Cube Smart took over the problems started! They have raised my rent 4 times in the last year and half over $100 dollars, they also lied to me and just told me that I can't make a credit card payment over the phone, which I have been doing for 5 years! I was also told by the previous management that they raise the rates to push the current/older customers out so they can charge an even HIGHER rate to the new customers. SMDH. I have reported them to the State Atty General as well as the FCC for price gouging and unethical business practices. PLEASE look at the reviews before using this company! All the care about is the money not the customer! I was contacted by the so called District Manager, who laughed when I shared my concerns and when I told him that I am reporting their unethical business practices to the State Atty General, he laughed and hung up the phone! THEY ARE SOOOO UNPROFESSIONAL! DON'T USE THEM, THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND LIE TO YOUR FACE!

CubeSmart Service and billing

0826 CubeSmart NY Jamaica Jamaica Avenue.

I called in bc I was asking for a breakdown of my bill bc I paid $118 dollars on top of my current balance. The total amount due before 7/20/22 was $378.00. I paid on 7/19/22 $496.00. I called to ask why. The person I spoke to over the phone was unprofessional and unbelievably rude. They also lied about their name. The dialogue went more so like this I asked her about the reason why she cuts me off before I go any further I said can I please finish speaking she says I already know what you are going to say I said no you don’t she goes are u trying to back and forth with me or do you want help? Like what excuse me? I then proceeded to ask for her name she said her name was Tiana but I’m more positive that wasn’t her name she stated in the beginning it was Kendra I believe. I did that to see if she was going to give me her real name. She laughed and said okay call technical support see if they help you in nasty way. I had an issue with this particular employee before bc I went in one day around 7:15pm and knowing that it closes at 8pm she tells me I have 5 min bc they are closing at 7:30pm when in the store doors and google that particular location closes at 8pm. This is why I chose this location as well bc others closed an hr earlier. I reported this matter to the BBB bc this is the second time with an issue with same employee. I called headquarters to speak to a district manager and no one ever got back to me. This is unprofessional and some action needs to be taken in place. This company has employees who speak and treat people like they are nobody’s. This is the face of your company and they need a lot of customer service training. I am going to take my things out this month for sure bc I am done paying for a space where I get treated as such and I get billed over $100 for a reason I still yet to know bc I hung up on her bc I was going to snap on her for the way she was handling the situation. Please please please this employee needs to be held accountable.

Desired outcome: I want to know the breakdown and a credit of the extra I paid that has yet to be unknown back. Because the bill and notice I have in my possession claims the overall total amount due is $378.00 before 7/20/22. I paid $496.00 on 7/19/22.

CubeSmart Refund and report manager and supposed staff that’s doesn’t really work there

I got a 10x40 storage paying $580, in the second day a person there beware me of the broken storages, the person was a victim that’s ask the manager to check cameras and the manager TERESA denied that. I feel unsafe since the storage I rented was full of my merchandise with high value. I ask the manager to cancel the contract since in the second day I take all my stuff out but as unprofessional and rude staff TERESA said “I’m not give you the money back” if the money were hers. Teresa and Osean (osean don’t work there I confirm with the costumer service but she call to the costumers like she work there)

That womens are a tiffs and used cameras and personal information of the costumer for breaking up on the costumer storages. And costumer service are not helpful either Arthur H “main manager” WORST STORAGE EVER

CubeSmart Management

On 5-12-22,

I invited my brother to take a walk with me and 2 yr. Son. it's was already hot at 10am. To keep us motivated we were listening to some music when we entered the CubeSmart property. A woman employee rushed out of the office ordering my brother to lower the music. So he did. We went to my storage unit. We took a Few items out. So that I can take pictures. I was also waiting for my husband to come pick us up. He said do you have cards laying around everywhere?. I said to him "yeah the baby drop some cards but I picked them up like an hour ago."

If CubeSmart employees could see cards on the floor then they could see that they were picked up. So what's the point of going out of their way to go up to my husband and tell him that there was cards on the floor? Did CubeSmart think that I would get in trouble? The storage unit is in my name not my husband.

Desired outcome: More respect from the employees

CubeSmart Storage unit billing / reasonable accommodation for my storage unit at, cubesmart storage west 98th street bloomington, minnesota

The issued that occurred was I went into cardiac arrest twice and was on hold at the hospital for blood transfusions in Critical Care ICU in another state But the first time I paid all my storage fees to prevent auction and this second hospitalization my belongings are sent out for auction and I mailed a payment of 401.00 dollars and I spoke with Ashley at Cubesmart West Bloomington Minnesota on West 98th Street and I was explaining to her that I was hospitalized again and she told me that 401.00 dollars is not.enough to pull my storage from auction

Desired outcome: My desired outcome would be to take my belongings from auction and put them back into storage and make a billing adjustment.

CubeSmart Storage

I gave cubesmart 1-months notice that I would be moving out January 14th, 2022. HRA was 30 days late in paying the bill, so I gathered up some extra funding and sent it in myself to avoid auctioning while I was in the process of moving out.
On the 31st day, HRA finally sends a payment, but now they have received an extra $111 from me that I barely could spare at the time - making it paid up to an extra month, February 14th. I wasnt thinking much of it considering I notified them of the move well in advance, and assumed they would be courteous and just mail the prepaid rent to my address.
Well first off, I called the facility and asked them to confirm that my account was indeed closed and site vacated and left open. The girl told me the account was still open, then proceeded to just repeat the information Id just given her saying I moved out and left the cube open. That isnt confirmation of an account closure at all.
I then asked her about the refund for the prepaid rent and she couldnt give me an answer, so I asked her to note my account and forward it to the site supervisor so he could further assist, and she alleged to have done so. I proceed to call Cubesmart at the main phone number and ask about a refund for the prepaid rent per se and was told they dont provide prorated rebates. I then went to Cubesmarts online chat and informed them of the 1/14 move out and asked them if they closed my account. The chat specialist said she saw my account was still open so she forwarded the site facility an email confirming them the cube was vacated and requested to close my account.
I then asked if I would be refunded and she said she will certainly request that. So whats the deal Cubesmart? I understand if you dont offer refunds for unused days, but prepaid or surplus rent is a different scenario altogether! The payments were made exactly 24hours from each other!
I spoke with staff endless times to ask for extensions and was promptly denied. But you promptly took the money and dont consider that a foul? Not to mention my belongings were COVERED with rat *** and turds! The boxes and covers I used to block out YOUR cockroaches were chewed through and mutilated.
Yet, you offer NO WARNING OF THE PEST PROBLEM, and NO INSURANCE to potentially compensate for damage. But you put rat poison packs in my new cubicle making it clear that youre acknowledging the problem WELL AFTER I PAYED FOR THE UNIT! Disgusting! Not just the vermin, but your made up rules and policy facade!
Utterly disgraceful! I left the rat turds for YOU to clean up ;)

CubeSmart Storage Unit Store Manager

I obtained a storage unit from Cube smart that was described as climate controled for one and it was stuffy and around 85 degrees in the building extremely hot. I had trouble accessing the unit due to the building keypad being out of service for quite some time. I fell behind in my payment and never received anything in regards to this. I came to make a payment at one point and the office was locked but there was a male employee in the office that refused to help me or unlock the door to let me get into the building due to keypad not working. A female manager arrived shortly there after and let me in and proceeded to have the gentleman (that couldnt help me) ring up my payment. I fell behind again due to everytime I came to make a payment there was no one in the office. I called customer service to make a payment and was unable to due so over the phone because it was delinquent so I called and talked to someone on your customer service number they tried to call the store where my unit was and were unable to reach anyone so they took my information and said someone would return my call. I let her know I had same issue reaching someone at the store and that was part of the reason it was delinquent. Needless to say I have not received any call back, have been unable to reach anyone at the store myself, and have not received any documentation regarding my unit. I am hoping that my stuff is not gone as I feel this specific store my unit is at has made it nearly impossible to make my payment and the fact ive been charged the full amount is surprising considering I have not been able to gain access due to the faulty keypad. may be you will have better luck than I trying to reach someone to resolve this issue.

Desired outcome: Contact with someone at the store that can assist me in making my payment and storage unit intact and accessibility to the unit and my stuff isnt gone and possibly a discount for issues with keypad and no access to the unit.

CubeSmart Management

Just spoke with the rudest manager located at the cubesmart self storage in auburn ma on Washington st .

This manager refused to accept the documents we had to show her and refused to believe we completed our side of things on line. She was telling us we had to pay AGAIN even though we had PROOF that we already paid. We even had our CODES to access our unit and she still refused us.

I tried to have her double check numbers and she was completely stuck in her ways. So rude and couldn't even apologize. Ended up she had the wrong account number. And completely wrong people.

Psh. Grow some manners and learn it's okay to be WRONG ! What a B*****

CubeSmart Storage unit monthly increase.

I, Angela Cartwright, have been renting a unit, 04092, since October 24, 2018.

I requested a waiver of rent increase due to the economic hardship of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The current store manger, Marsha, denied my request to waive the rent increase.

CubeSmart Pricing and lockout help wrong fees

Immediate attention please

If you review my payment history I've paid over 2000 since Feb I originally moved into a 10x12 for 163 but but was located in the wrong side so I upgraded to a 10x18 and signed the contract for 193 to f19 then was told if I move to a 10x20/it would be cheapest to which my contract was signed at 183 and to stay which is c006 the one I'm in now I then paid everything up to par and then was given late fees out of no where and told that I took to long to transfer storages to which I told the manager to just charge me for the month whom instead put me in at a different rate then kept it at that rate
The rates they have me at are more then what's being offered on line and I never signed a contract for 279 they just tried adding the same signed paper that I signed the original contract to with this one my rate is the 183 I've been charged extra fees and wrong amounts claiming to always be late yet its been paid I've once again been locked out if my storage now being told I owe over 1000 dollars when I'm only late one month but its because the rate is in wrong on the computers my storage was recently broken into and footage is missing from the video footage as well as now I'm told I have to pay the 1000 dollars or pay 300 and move out in 24hrs this is all wong my storage should be all paid up and there we no reason I should be being asked to leave could you please review all of this and correct it I'd appreciate it for the amount of money I've given I would likje at least this corrected I've been locked out of my storage for over half of the time I've had it and all I keep doing is giving money and my items arnt even safe military pays my storage
Please update the system to my original signed contract for I'm even paying more then whats being offered online I was told 183 not 279 that's a hand written one I never signed and was charged 322 and some other amount just to take up the money this is wrong and I would appreciate a correction before I head to court to get a stay exparte w a immediate lawsuit for fraud and theft if tgis is whats going to have to hapoen so i dobt lose my things I can be contacted at [protected]

CubeSmart the manager, ed.

Hello, my name is Tony Royal and today's date is 1/17/2020. Ed has threatened to limit my storage use to only the office hours or kick me out if I don't leave the hallway doors up everytime I use my storage. He is making up new rules and has been harassing me for over a month now. I am renting storage # E 18, which is located inside of an enclosed building, and has a hallway with two hallway doors. These doors were always closed when I first signed up with CubeSmart last year and would always stay closed. I even closed them everytime I left the storage. My storage (E18) is located next to the hallway door. Whenever I open the hallway door, it blocks my door from opening, so I have no choice, but to close the hallway door, just so that I can open my storage (E18). Ed has been harassing me for over a month now. He has been riding by the storage building (E) that I am currently using, on a golf cart, everytime I visit my storage and questioning me and watching me. He does not do this what other tenants. On Christmas day, last year of 2019, the office was closed, but Ed drove to my unit (E18) within 15 minutes of me getting there despite the fact that CubeSmart was closed on Christmas day and there being other tenants at CubeSmart that day, who were there longer than I was. I feel threatened by Ed and mistreated, unfairly. I asking for help and to speak to someone that can help me, please.

Yesterday, February 1, 2020 at 7:30 P.M. I was harassed by the manager Ed. Ed showed up shortly after I got to my storage. He told me that I had to keep the hallway doors open when I visit my storage. Also, he told me that I would be restricted to office hours for not having the hallway doors up. Today I went to visit my storage and discovered that my gate hours were restricted. I believe that I did not violate any policy, being that I have an inside unit and my unit (E18) was open when Ed came to my storage.

CubeSmart storage unit/ rodent and water damage on my belongings

SATURDAY 9/14/19 I discovered hundreds of mouse droppings in the entrance of the room where my storage is kept. Upon opening the unit we discovered hundreds of droppings. It being so late in the evening we agreed for me to come Sunday to move my items to a floor where there supposingly isnt Mice present. On Sunday 9/15/19 we found thousands of mice droppings, my bags torn and ransacked with rat droppings. My Mattress cover had holes and torn from these rodents. My wedding dress box had water damage and chew marks all over the box. A table we stored that belong to my brother in law who passed was loaded with droppings, the chair materials looked pulled and had droppings all over them. The lids on my bins had brown water stains and stuck mouse droppings. My daughters keep sake items were stained with droppings stuck on them. A amplifier with other stereo parts was loaded with mouse droppings all over it. The floors had hundreds of huge rodent droppings. An obvious infestation! I cried along with my children as I was not going to take their keep sake items, clothing and room baskets because they were filled with rat droppings. One of my daughters bikes had a hole on the chair to sit on. I left the mattress with the cover with holes. I left the table and the four chairs that belong to my brother in law. WE have not broke the news to my mother in law that she will no longer have it when she moves back to NY. These items had priceless sentimental value... The workers, especially the manager Samila was extremely apologetic, we all took photos as we removed my items and me in tears. She filed two incident reports. I have called to speak to the district Manager, left him messages, texts, and have called the customer service line twice. I have yet to receive a call from Ravinder Setti. I have escalated it to see if his supervisor returns a call. Lets see! I say stay far away from these heartless crooks! They charge so much for storage and harass you when your late, immediately charge you a lien fee and threaten you constantly with emails of an auction. Now when they are at fault for your storing your items in filthy infested storage facility, that you wont get a phone call for. I would like for them to at least compensate me for all my losses.

CubeSmart manager lies, use false deceptive practices to con people

ashaki a male that claimed he's the "manager" refused to explain what happened to the prev. manager who was working on the roach / mice infestation problem there. he was so evasive, shady, and a total con. this company based on the ppl it hires - is unscrupulous, shady, and never answers any ques. honestly. everything they lie about to your face to get you to sign on - once you get a space- all the problems they failed to disclose no elec (as they lied when they showed the place) rats, roaches, mice, cockroaches all the vermins that climb on and leaves droppings and larvae all over ppl's stuff, not to mention foul odor and unexplained sticky fluids that seep through the walls - it's unimaginable how disgusting, infested, filthy full of trash and diseases all of the vermins there - and then their manager DISAPPEARS. GONE. each time it's a differing person at the office. prior to the shady con ashaki, there was 'jen' who barks, doesn't even talk, barks screams yells at customer. this com is on it's way to being sued. don't say you were not warned!

CubeSmart service

Hi my name is Donald Scott I was in Cube 0101
On June 6th 2019 between 3 p.m. and 4:30pm I cleaned out my storage Cube and went upstairs to sign out. A young black lady went downstairs to check to see if I clean my unit and made me aware that my unit was clean but I left some boxes in the hallway. Even though I was running late for an appointment I went downstairs with my two children 11 and 13 and clean the boxes out of the hallway. I did not know where to put the boxes sorry I ask the maintenance man there. I don't think he spoke English because when I asked him he just Shrugged his shoulders as if he did not know. I put the boxes on the side of chew large garbage containers. Went back told them I put the garbage next to the containers they said that I should have came to them and ask them where to put the garbage. I told them that I asked the maintenance man and he did not seem to know and I said I was not a mind reader. I said I have to go my storage unit is immaculate I just want to close this account and move on. Insisted that I go for a third time and put the boxes someplace. I still don't know where I should have put them. I told her no did I had to run. There were two girls there 1 was black when was Hispanic Hispanic girl got in my face saying that if I did not go get those boxes that she was going to f*** my credit up. I looked at my children and surprise and said what is wrong with you you're going to go out of your way to hurt me and my credit. Bunch of drama that I did not want. I always paid early with cash. Her unprofessionalism and rudeness was out of control sure. I stormed off later on thinking of what she put me and my children through. I called her and said what is wrong with you why would you go out of your way to hurt my credit and my family. She swore at me told me to go f*** myself and slam the phone down in my ear. I literally got a call from a police officer saying don't go back into CubeSmart unless you have a police escorts. She told the cop that I called three times and threatened her. It was a lie I called her once and there was a no threat she was just covering for herself. Worst experience my children have been through. Perhaps she needs a customer service course they have them they take an hour.
I would like an apology from corporate and I want to know that this is not going to go on my credit and I will take this no further. My phone number is [protected]

CubeSmart rental fee

I received a telephone call from the Cubesmart Store Manager on Sunday, June 9th requesting a manual monthly payment claiming that my bank had denied the automatic payment I told him to wait until Monday (the next day)to make sure the Payment had not gone through. He refused but wanted to verify the last 4 digits of the card I used. I told him that I wanted to check with the bank and he said he had just processed the payment manually and it was approved I said I did not want to be charged twice and he GUARANTEED me that I wouldn't. When I checked with my bank they said they never denied the payment and I was charged twice.

My options: pay $25 to put a stop payment - wait 2 to 3 days for a refund - file a dispute and have my debit card cancelled and wait for a new one.

BE careful of under trained, o·ver·zeal·ous managers at Cubesmart.

Regardless of your computer systems, your customers should always come first.

CubeSmart service

On the day of my reservation the employee told us we could pay an extra $15 a month for 24 hr access. Because the type of business we have we felt this was a good option so we agreed to add it. So this was a week ago. When I get there at 11pm first our code doesn't work. So we try the number, no answer. Then a car pulls behind us. All of a sudden out come a man and woman. Saying we need proof of why we need 24 hr access. They dont want customers on the property because just so happens the car pulling behind us is their daughter and I guess they were concerned for her safety. Seemed a lil like racial profiling. But any way what right is it for them to decide how I conduct my business. if I pay for the access I should be able to use it or I should have been told prior that it was only for businesses with after hour emergencies, and she kept referring to electricians and wanted a business card. So we have a media company and if we are shooting late we want to bring our equipment back to be stored but really is that there business. So basically I'm pissed because I drove a long way and I had to deal with meddling managers. I feel an invasion of privacy and discrimination. They have encroached on my rights and deprived me of access to my personal property (4th amendment rights) and I want my money back. I prefer not to deal with this type of management.

CubeSmart storage unit-management treating me unfair I am disabled unit number 06157

My name is Julie Joseph and I paid $49.77 on a storage unit on December 11, 2018. I am fighting for my disability so I fell behind but I went to a church in Towson who gave me a check on February 8, 2019 for $66.00 to catch up my payment. I tried to give Sue Wilgis this check on the 8th and she wouldn't accept it. Then I contacted Brandon Sharp on February 9, 2019 about this same check. He never called me back until February 11, 2019 and said pay the $66.oo and pay the $46.00 before February 28, 2019 and take everything out. The thing is this storage unit is empty and I need it to put my things in. I told Brandon Sharp I was disabled and he said he didn't care if I was disabled. I have a lawyer now and I am fighting for my disability. I am very upset as I have had storage units before and was never treated this bad. How can they not except the check on the 8th of February and then turn around and say they will take the check on the 11th of February. I would only be 5 days late. So Brandon Sharp said pay all you owe and then you don't owe us anything. This is no way to run a business. I want my storage unit or I will turn this into the news media and BBB. I am willing to file charges through the American Disability Association because no-one should be treated like this. My phone number is-[protected]. Please call me ASAP regarding this matter. I want you to reprimand Sue Wilgis And Brandon Sharp for their behavior concerning this manner. I am looking forward to you correcting this in a timely manor. I owe 1 month and I bought the lock from your storage unit as well. I have until February 28, 2019 to vacate according to Brandon Sharp. Thank You Julie Joseph
