Cub Cadet - Riding mower

We purchased a Cub Cadet riding lawnmower in May of 2019 from Home Depot for $1, 600.00. We used the mower one time.

When we took it out the following summer, it would not start. It has been in the shop more than times that we have gotten our yard cut. We were well within the Warranty period as described by Daryl with Cub Cadet.

We had been talking via email with Daryl in Customer Support since August 22, 2020. He has suddenly stopped communicating and we still have no running mower or parts.

We are senior citizens who will not be taken advantage of.

We sent copies of our invoices from the Cub Cadet riding lawn mower purchase, Bellview Smalll Engine shop repairs, Lawcare companies that we had to pay to cut our yard while the $1, 600.00 riding mower sits in the garage.

Now, we have had a hurricane to hit and the yard needs to be cut, edged and trimmed again! We live in Florida so yards in our subdivision have to be maintained every other week.

We need to hear from someone soon on this matter. We will have to consider other resources if this is not resolved very soon.

The reason that cub cadet is painted yellow is because it is a lemon. The mower deck began fallen to pieces after 300 hours. We managed to weld enough of it back to get another 100 hours before is became almost useless.

Cub Cadet - Zero turn mower breach of warranty contract

Purchased RZT Cub Cadet Zero-Turn Mower 06-30-2017. This Mower has a Honda 20hp engine. I have sent my Mower in 5 Times to get the Oil to Stop Venting into my Breather and Ruining the AIR Filter. Their Only 2 AUTHORIZED CUB CADET Mechanic SHOPS assigned to the Pensacola Area are Hendrix Lawn & Cycle and Hinson Chainsaw. I presently have 148 hours on this mower. 27 of those Hours are from the Cub Cadet Shops. I keep my Mower inside and Clean. The 1st (3 times) it went to Hendrix Lawn & Cycle in 2018. The First 2 times I explained that Gas was leaking into my Breather and Wicking up my Filter and Ruining the Filters. After Both times it was still leaking. I took the mower to A1 Mowers. I asked the owner to look at it. I pulled my Breather off and he said that is Oil Leaking not Gas. I got home and Called and immediately called Hendrix Lawn & Cycle. I spoke to Hendrix Lawn & Cycle ( Owner-Randy Cole) and advised that A1 Said it was Oil Leaking from the Crankcase Vent (Not Gas). Never understood why they could not figure this out. I called Asurion/HomeDepot and Explained that all this time it was Oil Leaking into the Filter. 3 TIMES SAME PROBLEM! My Mower went back a 3rd time to Hendrix Lawn & Cycle in 2018. They changed the Oil and called it good. 1 week later it was back to leaking oil and ruining my Air Filters. I called Mr. Cole at Hendrix again he said it is going to spray mists of Oil. I said Maybe, But not to the Extent of Ruining my Air Filters. He said "look the Mower is still under Warranty". That was August 2018. I went out of town for 7 months to Alaska. When I got back I saw it was still leaking. I called Asurion and Advised it was still leaking Oil (4th Time Same Issue) (Beyond the Lemon Law). Asurion said we need to send it to somewhere else. It then Went to Cub Cadet Authorized Shop Hinson Chainsaw in Andalusia, AL in April 2019. 2 Days later it comes back w/ Oil still streaming down the Breather and wicking up my Filter. I Took Pics and showed Mr. Hinsons Brother who was the one that Brought the mower back to me. He agreed it was still leaking. He took it Back. I called the Owner Mr. Hinson and was Pissed. I said it is still leaking oil into Breather and doesn't look like you did anything. The next day he Brings it back himself. I noticed he had Ran the engine 14 hours from 78 to 92. He cranks it and I hear this loud knocking sound. I look into the Fan vent and see a Bolt Sticking up. I immediately Shut it Off. It was the Coil slapping against Fly Wheel. He got his tools and and Tightened it down and gapped the Coil w/ a Business Card. I then noticed it was missing a Cowling Bolt. He said he would send me one. I asked What he did to fix it. He said he went into the motor to Check something and then advised the Halfway mark is actually the Full-Line and he said he called Honda 3 or 4 times. He said Honda Advised to keep lowering the oil. It was at half of the Half Mark. I said well I guess if you take all the oil out I won't need to worry about Oil Leaking anymore. He also said that Honda Was aware there was an issue w/ this Motor and the Oil coming out of the Breather! 6 weeks later I left for Alaska and was gone 10 months. I get back and Notice that the oil is still leaking into the Air Filter. I called 2 weeks ago and just before the Warranty Ended. I did not want my Mower going back to Hinson. Asurion/HomeDepot Arranged pick-up on the 24th of June to go to the ONLY OTHER PLACE. Back to Hendrix Lawn & Cycle for their (4th attempt to fix) (Totaling 5 Times for the Same issue) and Well Exceeding the Lemon Law. I still just wanted my mower Fixed. INSTEAD, Apparently Hendrix Finds Damage inside the Motor where someone put tape into the Crank Key Way and an Undersized Key. But, States the problem w/ the Oil coming out was a Reed Valve. He states he had a New Honda Master Tech now. I wanted to say, Maybe if you had that Master Tech on Day 1 I would not be in this Position. THE NEXT DAY, HENDRIX Lawn & CYCLE CALLS ME and Says You have to Call Asurion. She said Cub Cadet is stating they are not Paying for the Repairs because the motor Has been Abused? I said ABUSED. What do they mean Abuse? She says I told them this was not Abuse it was Incompetence. I said, Well the only 2 Places that have worked on it is You and Hinson and if there was Damage inside the Motor it Corresponds w/ what I saw when Mr. Hinson Brought it Back last year and the fly Wheel Slapping against the Coil. I call Asurion/HomeDepot and they tell me they Back whatever Cub Cadet Says. I'm like "are You kidding". You do not investigate? Susan w/ Asurion/HomeDepot Says "NO" . I said well I suppose you will claim Abuse For any Future Repairs when it comes to the Extended Warranty that started 7 days ago. She said "That is correct, We go By whatever Cub Cadet Says". And further Advises I can just request a Refund for my Extended Warranty". I have proof of whom has done what and None of it Corresponds w/ what Asurion has written.I should not have to get a Lawyer or Contact the Attorney General in Virginia, Ohio and FL to get Resolve. The ONLY 2 PLACES the MOWER HAS GONE is The ONLY 2 Authorized Cub Cadet Repair Shops here...Hinson Chainsaw and Hendrix Lawn & Cycle in Molino FL... This is not My Fault. My mower is Pristine as Far as me taking care of the Cosmetics. It stays inside my Garage. CUB CADET and ASURION DICTATE Where to send this Mower. I have no Choice. I should have gone after Cub Cadet for the Lemon Law Now I'm dealing w/ their Breach of Warranty. Cub Cadet Decided to put that Honda Motor on their Cub Cadet Mower. My Warranty is with Cub Cadet. They do not ensure that their is an Authorized Honda Mechanic at these Shops or any other Motor they put on the Back of THEIR MOWER! PS- I forgot- When I originally thought this Oil Leak was a Gas Leak and it came Back the 2nd time w/ what I thought was gas I called Cub Cadet and spoke to supervisor # 6. I said I want a new Carburetor installed. He said we don't cover that and proceeded to tell me the 15 different ways the Carburetor issue was my Fault. From Bad Gas to me letting the Mower sit too long w/ gas in FLORIDA meanwhile telling me he was a Christian. I said I'm a Christian too...And the last time I checked Christians Take Accountability which is Far from what you are doing.
