Credit One Bank credit card practices

Sadly, in desperation to rebuild my credit, I fell for the BULLSHIGGITY ploy of this GOD-AWFUL company. I paid off my initial $300 limit. I stopped using it 2yrs ago & I'm STILL being BILLED, HARASSED. They are PREDATORS on those looking to ESTABLISH or REBUILD credit! I've written to a SHADY P.O. box. Ive called 6 DIFFERENT EXPERTS with 0 results.

Credit One Bank website/mobile app login issues!!!

I've had login issues with credit one bank since march when I made a $100 payment. I haven't been able to make a payment since. I called them asking if they were aware of the issue and a young lady advised they were aware of the issue but had no resolution. Again, that was in march. It's now april 22nd and the issue still exists... Seriously?

Credit One Bank unethical behavior, fraudulent billing practices.

I applied and received two credit cards from this company (Visa, Mastercard). I activated my online account and made payments the same time each month on each card. The Visa card received my payments, however the Mastercard did not. The first time this happened, the Mastercard account was removed from my online payment center. I immediately called and made my payment over the telephone. The next month when I paid online again, same amount, same time; the Visa card received payment however, the Mastercard did not.
When I went to use my Mastercard, the card declined. I called Credit One bank, and to my surprise, the account was closed. The company never sent me a letter, and my account was not past due. They refused to send me to their collection department, and their representative was extremely rude.

I have sent documents from my bank to confirm payments for both credit cards, and all I've received so far is the run around. Due to my Mastercard account being closed, my credit score has dropped. I now plan to consult an attorney to handle this company. It appears they frequently close accounts, and are unwilling to review the documents that will prove their company's error. I am truly disappointed in their customer service representatives, and their online billing practices. They are rude and disrespectful when they speak to you over the phone, and they are unethical in their billing procedures. I am confident that the attorney I will retain will find many fraudulent practices within this company.

Credit One Bank this company should be sued for fraudulent behavior.

Have been with credit one a couple of years and all of a sudden the app.. Nor the website is working.. This needs to be resolved in a timely manner, all of your customers are trying to build or keep their credit in good standing and your company is making that almost impossible to do so.. I also think since we can not use a browser, app, website, that customers are forced to pay a 9.95 express payment and for myself that is 20.00 extra dollars a month that is for a service that should be free. Credit one bank is the most illigitimate credit card company I have ever had the non-pleasure of dealing with. If there ever is a class action lawsuit against this company, im on board to take any measure necessary!

Credit One Bank unlawful billing

I opened the card looking to improve my credit score. I made timely payments. The first late payment I was double charged. I no longer use it and it STILL continuously charges me. I tried cancelling using the (mailing) NOT phone service info provided. They ignore you yet try to get you to pay any balances in full before cancelling. They scam minorities, limited income and elderly citizens. Their phone service operators are RUDE & DISRESPECTFUL. They robocall you up to 20 times a day. I just dont want the hassle anymore.

Credit One Bank credit card

this is the second time I have had problems making online payments.
first time was two or three months ago. I kept getting a message system down unable to process please log on later. I logged on later and scheduled the payment. the next day they took the payment out twice and and put my checking account overdrawn. Credit one would never reverse the double payment. My bank did take the overdraft fee off.

yesterday I went online at creditonebank.com logged in and made the payment on the due date. today i looked at my credit one account and they charged me a late fee and I made the payment before the 5:00pm cut off time. I took a picture of the screen showing the payment made and the time. just because I don't trust this company. I called customer service and was told the payment will process today and the late fee will be reversed tonight. I have little faith that this will happen but will check my account tomorrow. a google search will show you how bad this company treats its customers and how they scam people out of money.

Credit One Bank fraud using credit one bank credit card

I am a member of the Prosperity bank and saw that on the last 2 days $960 was taken automatically (ACH) from my account by a credit one bank member without my authorization! Calling the Credit one bank about this fraud and ask them to stop it, took at least two hours and was very unsatisfactory as no one in the line of supervision (3 levels) would take any accountability to stop the fraud. I told the credit one bank that they should consider some policy changes so they can act on fraud directly when it is brought to their attention, sofar no answer yet. I expect them to call me once they find out who is doing that and that the person received the right consequences for the fraud to avoid it from happeneing again.in the mean time, I would be very hesistant to do any business with the Capital one bank. If they cannot prevent fraud when brought to their attention, where does the bank stands for? (Wil van Haaren; [protected])

Credit One Bank credit card charges

This company is worse than loan sharks. At first, my payments were $25.00. Then, after charging more on the card thinking the payments would remain at least same, or at worst perhaps $10.00 more a month, they started charging me $47.00 a month on less than $1, 000.00 owed!

The Interest rate is the SAME as it was before, so nothing has changed with the Interest rate that would justify making the monthly payments so high.

I'm thinking of not paying them at all. After all, they are scam artist, cheaters, liars, rip off con artists, with no conscience or scruples at all. They would be the only creditor I would stiff. I pay my bills on time, and my payment history is impeccable.

Credit One actually deserves to be put out of business. Why is no one looking into this Bank?

The complaints about Credit One are so numerous and constant, and have been around for so long, it makes you wonder whose pockets are getting lined so Credit One can continue swindling people like they do. You would think someone would be looking out for the consumers. Au contraire mon frère.

Credit One's despicable, cheating business practices will one day catch up with them. However, those in the position to stop them who won't or don't, will suffer the same fate. Those people are just as accountable.

Stay away from Credit One! They are the worst credit card company EVER!

Credit One Bank customer service with my account

I've been a customer with you for 8 months I pay on time and also sometimes (2) a month I had my banking information stolen in about November 2018 in which I contacted you all to explain the situation and give a savings account number to you over phone to keep in file until my checking account and credit banking card was done with the fraud investigation.
Come to find out the agent inputted the account number last digit wrong and was extremely rude that he even had to update my information because it was charging my account that I had already contacted you about having the fraud investigation on.
I was calling 2/3 times a month December 2018 and January 2019 to find out you all canceled my card because you were charging the wrong account number which I surly didn't input it since it was all done over phone with customer service I was upset and devastated that I pay on time and never late to have been treated the way I was with your customer service and management
I sent my banking information Wells Fargo to your supervisor at the address he gave me as he was very rude calling me a liar that they were not at fault by inputting wrong information. I contacted them again on February 4, 2019 and they haven't received the paperwork and also have put invalid information on my credit report but when I called today they tell me no yet I have nothing from your company not even a statement which I've requested 3 separate times and nothing still .
I would appreciate someone to contact me that way I can get answers and information to why I've been treated like a deadbeat when I'm the one contacting your customer service monthly on for 2 1/2 hours each time as I get a run around I feel this is absolutely the worst customer service and supervisor treatment I've ever received throughout my life and if something isn't done I have no choice but to contact the news, extra.

I was a customer for 3 years paid on time. I switch bank account I thought I deleted my old account but didnt. I made a payment early and it didn't go through I was confused because I had the money so I made another payment. Right when I hit process I realized the problem. I immediately called and let them know. I even tried to make the payment with the correct account but was told I couldn't stop the payment or make another payment for 24hours. I called the very next day and made the payment. The lady even reassured me that since it was before my due date and since I called there wouldn't be an issue. The following month i went to go make my payment and the account was gone. I wasn't even notified I had to call and speak to someone. The guy was nice but basically all he could do was give me the information to write a letter. This was my oldest account and lower my credit score by 85 points.I can only call and make a payment with a representative. I can't make a payment online or set up auto pay with my new card.

Credit One Bank visa and mastercard

In early 2016 I was so happy to receive a prequalification from credit one stating that I had prequalified for a unsecured visa card with them. I had spent a few years trying to build my credit up with secured card and they were the first ones that gave me an unsecured card. Are use the card responsibly always paid on time and in full the limit was low it was only $800 but I was very happy with that at the time. Fast forward to the middle of 2018 and I began having huge issues with them. By this time I also had a MasterCard with Credit One my credit score was a 700 and I never used either the MasterCard or Visa because I had other credit cards with high higher limits and they had rewards and all these other things. I had requested that credit one go ahead and put an automatic payment on my Monthly fee of four dollars and some odd cents per month per card. I believed that everything was fine and Was assured by the customer service rep in India that I had nothing to worry about. Boy was he wrong I had everything to worry about about October 2018 I see that my credit score has been hit for almost 60 points and I was in the middle of refinancing my home. Come to find out I have a late payment of eight dollars yes that's right eight dollars from credit one bank, then come to find out that the reason that I have a late payment of $8 is because they do not do automated payments you either have to pay over the phone for the fee that they charge you or you have to do it online. So I politely asked them to cancel both my cards after I found this out because when I explain to them what happened and the fact that I was told that I could use my bank account that I was calling in and paying on the card for him I told him that one of their employees is the one that told me that Big basically told me that I was lying and that they would not be removing it from my credit because they can't do that. Now they say that they can't do that that is again another lie. I went around and around with a lady in customer service who again I could barely understand her and she just kept trying to convince me to keep the cards keep the cards I'll waive this and I'll do this for you and this went on for almost 40 minutes and because of this I Just kept the cards and said that I would deal with it at a later date. To no avail I have called every number I can fine for them and I can only reach people in India who I am now well aware cannot or Do you not have the power to get this removed from my credit. Fast forward again to now it is almost February 2019 and I am still trying to refine my house my mortgage broker has been trying everything that she can to get this done but literally because of an eight dollar late payment charge that I quite frankly feel is their fault they have squashed any chance of me getting a refi on my house I am disgusted I have never in my life ever seen customer service like they have I cannot believe that someone who is and has been a loyal customer who quite frankly I don't need to have those two carts but I continue to keep them for as long as I did in the beginning because they were the ones that took a chance on me and now those same people have wrecked my credit over eight dollars. I asked to speak to somebody else a supervisor or what not when I called the numerous times that I have called and I get just another person who is definitely From India and on multiple vacations I can hear them laughing in the background. Also during that time after the first gentleman so politely took my banking information and said that I could "" be on automatic bill pay which they don't have every one of my computer systems at home got hacked and traced back to an Indian company so I'm sorry I wasn't born yesterday and coincidences like that don't happen. I has a small business owner know that large corporations Choose to outsource to save money but at what expense because right now I will be letting everyone know how terrible credit one bank has treated me for eight dollars and my husband and I own an Internet marketing company so I will blast it through everywhere I can because I feel like if they are doing this to me they must be doing it to other people. I have been told on six different occasions that someone from corporate would be calling me back and have yet to hear from anyone so once again I have been lied to by credit one bank I want this removed from my credit so that I can refinance my house I held my end of the bargain up I have paid my bills I have done everything and in return they have made this process of getting my credit score up they turned it into a nightmare. I will be canceling both of my cards once I feel I can have a normal polite conversation with them. I am also having the hack on my computers traced back to an exact location and if it is found to be one of their Indian employees they will be speaking to my attorney.

Credit One Bank gross mishandling and denial of valid dispute

Credit One Bank received a comprehensive and detailed letter from me stating why I wanted a refund. The points are valid and true. I requested a purchase refund of $720 to cover 90 books I pre-purchased with excitement and anticipation of a really great product. What I, and 21 others received, was not the promised product at all.

This product, a collaborative book with 21 co-authors, was delivered to us on 9/22/18. None of us had any idea the book would lack proper & professional editing (which we paid for) and become an embarrassment instead the promised, "brand-representing book each of us could use no matter what industry or purpose we intended for it."

The merchant, Show Your Success, Taurea Vision Avant, the book's publisher, 'owned' the fact that the product was not up-to-par and the standards by which I based my purchase of 90 books.in an email she said to me, "I can understand why you might be disappointed in the book..."

A revised version of the book was then offered to all 21 authors (except me, where I was blocked from, and singularly excluded from, all future opportunities.) There are other co-authors who objected to the abomination this book truly is, and yet, they were not excluded from conversations or participation.

I sent a detailed letter to Credit One Bank explaining my reason for disputing the purchase of a product which failed to meet the expectations set by the merchant.

I mailed the book with my letter to illustrate the publisher's failings and to further back my requested refund for the purchase.

About a month later, Credit One Bank's dispute department returned the book with a letter telling me "you will have to return merchandise to the merchant; we do not do that for you." (I could not helping thinking: Wow, really? Is that why you think I sent it to you with Post-it Notes indicating the points in my dispute letter?)

Two months later: I have just received a letter declining the requested refund.in this letter, which includes 4 out of 7 pages (where are the other pages?) the merchant has responded with a completely irrelevant counter-claim: that I am a liar and have filed fraudulent charges claiming I never received the product.

If you bought an electronic item and it arrived in a faulty-state, you would be due a refund. This simplistic analogy serves the issue at-hand and I am not alone in this claim.

I never once said I did not receive the product. How could I be unhappy with something if I never received it? I said "the product purchased is not the product that was delivered." And yet, that is the merchant's response and apparently the basis for denying my request for a refund. I can only guess, frankly, as no one is available to discuss this with me at Credit One Bank.

Today, 1/7/19, I was on the phone with Credit One Bank and was told, over-and-over again: "there is no one you can speak with in the dispute department, ma'am. Just send us a detailed letter."
"But, I already did that and the response was DENIED. Where did I go wrong, I asked? What else do you need to prove my point? It is obvious where the problems are in the product and another detailed letter can only restate the same issues. Surely someone can tell me why the dispute was denied?" No, apparently no one can pick up the telephone at Credit One Bank's dispute department.

Instead, whoever read my letter and then read the merchant's response was apparently unable to distinguish the difference between what I was describing as a failed product with valid basis for a refund, and what the merchant continues to say, which entirely irrelevant.

How sad that this merchant continues to bully, threaten and harass me. Credit One Banks's advice, that I pick up the phone and speak to publisher is merely an invitation for more dramatic, baseless, inane responses.

Unlike the merchant's made-up, broken-record retort, the truth is I did not cause this publisher undue problems: had the book been published as was promised, none of this would have happened. I have not exacerbated the problems with any defamation (unlike the treatment I am receiving.) At this point, all I can is ridiculousness at the highest level, frankly.

The other co-authors received a refund for their books. I do not understand why I am not able to receive the same courtesies without the threat of a lawsuit and continued harassment, name-calling and bullying. I have emails to prove this, too, but that is not the purpose of this complaint.in her response "she needs to return the books that she picked up ASAP" but there is no offer for a refund. Inasmuch as she has proven herself to be unprofessional, illogical, and dramatic (lawsuit? really? why?) I have little reassurance or confidence that I would get a refund from her.

In the end, this is a lose-lose proposition for me with both the publisher and Credit One Bank.

I want to know why my claim was denied and I want the amount of the book charge put on hold until a valid and fair resolution or at least, a reason, is given.

Here is the letter I sent to Credit One Bank:October 4, 2018
RE: Dispute charge & interest: 9/7/18 $720 for Mastercard ending in 3197
From: [removed], [removed]
To Whom This May Concern:
I am account holder [removed] and I authorized a $720 charge for 90 books, paid to Taurea Avant, publisher of a collaborative, 21-author book, "Wake Up Winning No Matter!" This book was delivered on 9/22/18. Prior to that moment, the finished product was unseen by all parties, except Wanda D. Hollis and Taurea Avant.
I am disputing this charge based on the fact that the product delivered is not the product I purchased.
The co-authors did not get to see the finished product prior to printing, and had no idea it would deviate so far off the anticipated end-product.in good faith, I purchased books based on their assurances (over 6 months time) that we would all receive a properly edited and brand-carrying product. When this book was delivered on 9/22/18, it was obvious this was not the book we were sold on. This feels like a hustle, frankly. Since the receipt of these books, there have admissions of guilt by the both the publisher and the collaborator, Wanda D. Hollis, who now admit the book had chapters which had NOT been edited at all. And yet, it was published. Part of our fee paid ($697) was to include professional final editing.
To her credit, Ms. Avant has acknowledged the book's failings: "I can understand why you might be disappointed in the book…" is an email I received. There appears to be activity toward a corrected version of the book. However, I was the only co-author out of 21 people to be singled-out and literally blocked from viewing the video announcement of proposed changes. This is, in and of itself, a questionable choice made by one or both the publisher and Wanda D. Hollis.
This end product was purported to be an item each of us could use as a representative of each co-author's personal brand. Clearly, it is not. There is a portion of the book, (please see "7 Tips" page 135) which are written in such a way as to appear to be MY tips, yet they are not. Written in first person, it is misleading to the reader. For instance, "This lesson was reminded to me by my Grandson Ayden." I don't have a grandson. And I object to the grammar. This is embarrassing.
In my field, wherein I work as a personal branding strategist, I could not hand this book to anyone as a representative of my personal brand. If my client were to have this fiasco become their promised book, I would have encouraged the same actions I am taking now: a full refund without question.
As you can from the very beginning, with an Introduction that normally includes a comment on the book itself, it is entirely focused on Wanda D. Hollis. It appears to be her book with us in it. The word "collaboration" was used throughout the 6+ month's process, but only now it is being called "Wanda's book" by the publisher. That was never said until we started to complain about the book. Truly, this is not at all the guaranteed "book you can all use for your personal brand." The cover was not an option for us to comment on; it was already decided for us/the project. Please note the odd spacing in the title; it has been noticed and laughed at, frankly, as a blatant typesetting issue, where the "W" is spaced too far from the rest of the word. I suspect this was another Wanda D. Hollis choice to focus on the W. Just a thought….
Finally, there is the issue of the Acknowledgments: not only were we all told, on multiple occasions by Wanda Hollis that these would appear at each author's chapter, there is a video where Ms. Avant says, "These acknowledgments will be placed at the end of each author's chapter." Please refer to the back section of the book where these acknowledgments have been placed, instead. Not only is this a failure to deliver a product as stated, there are now repercussions with my clients/buyers. I pre-sold books to them based on what we told: that their company name and website, along with their congratulatory remarks, would be placed right at my chapter. Sadly, it is the case. What's worse, as you will see, is the entire paragraph is a single, run-on sentence. Again, an editing issue as well as non-delivery of product as stated. The final remark I have on this is that my congratulatory remarks come from well-known names, including Mark Victor Hansen, "Chicken Soup for the Soul" co-creator; having this positioned near my chapter was to further enhance my personal brand. Alas, that was not to be.
Bearing these many factors in mind, I feel that is within my full right to obtain a complete refund the $720 charge as well as the interest accrued thus far.
Thank you very kindly for your prompt response. Please feel free to contact me should any questions arise whatsoever. I can be reached by calling [protected]. Also, if need be, the other co-authors have agreed to make themselves available to you if you feel the need to question any further. I do believe that the book's errors are evidence enough to uphold my dispute.

Most sincerely yours,

[removed]

Credit One Bank credit card

I received a pre-approved credit line letter up to $1, 500 from Credit one, however, all I had to do was complete their application.

Upon completing application and submitting, Credit One determined that my credit was not approved after getting my personal information, such as my social security number, and cell phone which they could sell.

I was upset and currently seeking an attorney to check out my rights as a consumer. This is bogus and a good way to steal an individual's information.

Shame on you Credit One.

Credit One Bank re: action needed for wells fargo business account application. need negative mark removed from my credit report.

To whom this may concern,
I am writing to discuss a credit card that was opened up in my name that I do not own. It was discovered that a credit card was opened up in my name on June 2017. I have never open up a credit card with credit one bank account. The address that was used to open up the account, I haven't lived in since 2006 on a military base. The address where the card was sent to I do not know where that is nor that I ever lived there. As I have stated I have never opened up a bank one account or applied for any credit through bank one. This is a fraudulent account, I have always paid my bills. This account was opened and money was spent on it and nothing was ever paid. If you look at my credit history it will show that I pay on my accounts and this is not one. Someone use my information and open up this account. This amount needs to be resolved, because it's hi nd ering my credit report. I will continue to fight this if this is not resolved soon. 1 do not owe this money nor is it my account. Thank you
Ron Lawson

Credit One Bank company as a whole

I received a letter stating that the payment I submitted was returned due to "Unauthorized Corporate Debit". As a result they have closed my account and turned it over to credit bureaus with my payment history and statement of "Closed by Credit Grantor". This will kill my credit score that I'm working to improve. 😡😡
The so called customer service representatives will not tell me what account was used to make this payment and I've contacted all my banks and none of them have record of the payment.

Credit One Bank credit one visa card

Customers should be told that Credit One charges a monthly fee EVEN IF you cancel your card and EVEN IF you are enrolled in paperless billing and EVEN IF you submit all payments electronically (i.e. through your bank bill pay system).

Furthermore, Better Business Bureau is worthless for these types of complaints. They just accept and forward whatever [censored] that a financial institution tells them.

We need genuine consumer protection laws so that dishonest financial institutions like Credit One can be put out of business.
