Craigslist people who answer ads

Why is it that when you place an ad, you only get responses from people just to be stupid? Like from deyhaati just to harass you about your political views or from people who claim they know the person you are trying to find on missed connections when they don’t anyway? Can’t people be serious anymore?

And why is this a complaint? Seems like you tooks someone up on their offer and they gave a human-reply. Are you just trying to brag that you got casual sex? Or to show off some girl's booty?

Either way, keep it within your circle of friends next time.

A person contacts you, then says they need you to verify your age etc by using a code, they want your phone number to call you with another code to verify. Once you confirm it, they somehow scam your phone number...

Craigslist craigslist joke!!! false advertising!!!

Please read the scam alert! At the beginning of craigslist because this is just one of many scams that get you on craigslist. I was almost scammed out of my blackberry to someone in nigeria and now after looking for a job on craigslist I found a position I was interested in and sent an email of interest. Within 1 minute I received an email stating to click on this link and fill out the application so I did so ans also submitted my resume and gave references to this website. Nothing has happened yet but after researching the website I have found that it is not a real jobs website. People have stated that they get at home work offers and college offers but no jobs! I consider this website to be false advertising and fraudulant!

I just had a bad thought. I agree with Mica. Angela you better watch out if you gave too much on that job application. It's standard for most applications to ask for your Social and DOB. If you think these guys are scams, I hope you didn't give that. That could be bad. I'm looking for work too. Glad I know not to trust Craigslist. I better be more careful about some of these sites with online applications though. So far the worst scams I found were college pushing instead of jobs. Careerbuilder.com is pretty good though. They send leads to your email. You get some of the junk but I got some good leads off it.
I went online to search and check out apartments and the best rents. It pulled up some marked Craigs list. They were the best DAMN deals I ever saw! Even rent to own with no good credit! It asked for you to earn 3 times the payment, but don't worry te down will just be higher if you don't. ONLY $400 per month for a 3bdrm house! Yeah Right! In my dreams! I immediately saw that warning and realized there wasn't even a way for direct contact. I can see how people get scammed. Send them the money and get nothing. I WANTED TO BELIEVE IT! THEY PROFIT OF THE DESPERATE! WE CAN ALL USE A BREAK IN PRICES NOWADAYS!

We attempted advertising services on Craigslist however it created nothing but spam. I don't even think we ever got any legit responses from it. We now have not advertised for probably almost 2 years and are still receiving emails that claim "your listing on craigslist". What a waste of time and energy..

you shouldn't be making transactions on a web site like craigslist the even give warnings about that to their users in email and all over the site nobody with common sense would do a online transaction on a site like craigslist why didn't you use a reliable site like ebay or amazon?

Hello,

Thanks for your email, I personally own the house, we want our property to be well taken good care of, and they are some rules and regulation in which i do give out to tenant willing to rent my house, so please don't disrespect my order, but if you are still capable of renting my house the rules and regulation goes this way.. You must keep my house clean including the surrounding, you must know the way in which you use the stove so as to avoid fire outbreak, you must not disturb the neighbor. We decided to rent out the property due to our transfer to (West Africa) on aMissionary Work because, in a church here named World Mission, so we are renting it out since we need someone to take good care of the property on my absent.

Have this in mind you must know the kind of person that i am, but nevertheless i am giving you this rules because of what corresponded between me and my last tenant. the keys and documents are with us here in West Africa... so i will need to ship them to you before you can occupy the house but you can drive by the house anytime to take a look.
So let me know if you are still interested so that i can forward you the Rental Questionnaire to fill out...

Pets are welcome!

Craigslist stole money, ripped off big time, scam artist b--ch

Went to visit this ### named "payton" at her apartment in Waikiki. She advertised that she does back massages and other stuff.

Went over to her apartment, which looked worse than a damn slum.

Went inside her apt unit, and boy is this girl messy! She also does NOT look like the female in the picture she posted in her ad! What a scam! payton is more skinny, disheveled, stained/rotten teeth, and looked like she was under the influence of drugs! Hahaha!

I jump onto her crappy bed, give her the money because she asked for the money before starting her session. Then all of a sudden, she changes her mind, tells me that she feels uneasy, sick and has to go somewhere. She runs off into another crappy looking room and locked herself in there with ALL my money!

She then calls two guys and told them that I was some stranger harrassing her. I didn't want to get into any arguments with punks like this girl and thugs, so I left her [censored]hole apartment.

This is a complete scam! Maybe I should report her to the attorney general's office and the local authorities!

Again, people should avoid payton who posts the following ad on craigslist.

http://honolulu.craigslist.org/oah/ads/1512845906.html

Her ph# is [protected]. her address is 1993 Ala Wai Blvd room #303, and the apartment is located near the corner of Keoniana St and Ala Wai Blvd. It's the building with the big "For Rent" sign affixed to the 2nd floor walkway.

Stay clear of this ###! I hope something bad happens to her!

PS: Below is a photo of a girl that is supposed to look close to payton, but is NOT payton! this is the FAKE photo she placed in her ad.

She's actually a tramp-looking girl with stained teeth, disheveled hair, freckles all over her damn body as if she has HIV and damn flat chest!

Totally agree with the OP. This girl is known to be a flake by not living up to what she advertises on CL. She only asks for money up front, then fakes that she's sick or has to go somewhere. Don't worry. One of these days, something will go back to haunt this drug-addict slut.

Craigslist scam

This is not a complaint, but a warning. Please beware of a person posing to sell cars online. A relative of mine was naive to believe that this was a "good" deal. The bottom line is this guy name Lamar Guinn/Lamar Williams/Brian E. Guinn aka Scam Artist sold a stolen car to someone.

He has several priors to label him a criminal and I wouldn't want anyone else to be scammed by this imposter. If your gut says, no ...go with it!

Craigslist personal assistant

Thanks for your interests in the office assistant position, I will deeply appreciate all genuine efforts to help me monitor and keep up to date with all my activities. I have had a previous Personal Assistant who has been very commendable in her activities and who has been part of my life for the past 6 months, she has since returned to her country. I sincerely hope I will be able to find someone again who will be as efficient as she has been.

I'm Nicholas Ben, 45, originally from Australia, but I have spent a whole lot here in United State. I'm a qualified Legal Practitioner by profession and I have been pretty successful in a handful of ventures I get involved in; from the Angel Investment Network in Canada and United State to various welfare and community service programs, I most very often get my hands occupied, so it is imperative for me to have a worthy assistant who can monitor and keep me up to date with my activities.
As my assistant, your activities amongst other things will include;

*Running personal errands, supervisions and monitoring.
*Scheduling programmers, flights and keeping me up to date with them.
*Acting as an alternative telephone correspondence when I'm away.
*Making regular contacts and drop-offs on my behalf.
*Handling and monitoring some of my financial activities.
Basic wage is $500 a week

I'm currently in Honk Kong, China now for a summit and would be back to the state in about 2 weeks, however, I do have a number of things you could help me with this week if you will be available for me. This can act as a stable foundation to our working relationship.

Please note that this position is not office based for now because of my frequent travels and tight schedules, it's a part-time, work from home basis and the flexibilty means that there will be busier weeks than others, so it's a little difficult judging the exact number of hours you'll be doing per week.If you can manage your time properly, this job may even give you some extra while you do something else on the side.

As I have said, I'd want us to get a head start with things as soon as possible. I do have a pile up of work and a number of unattended chores which you can immediately assist me with, I hope we can meet up with the workload eventually.

Permit me to use the coming week to test your efficiency and diligence towards all this, also to work out your time schedule and fit it to mine. I really need to find the perfect person for this job, I'm confident you can take up the challenge and on the long run we should have a relatively sound working relationship between us.

I'd want us to meet up on Yahoo chat as soon as possible so we can discuss this extensively, more so it's easier for me to convey information once i'm online. My Yahoo ID is the same as my e-mail address, [protected]@yahoo.com. It may be a little difficult working out the time difference between us initially, with time however, we should get used to it.

I'm online most of the time when I'm not out or in a meeting so we should be able to have a chat sooner than you think. Do try to keep a date. I am glad you are willing to work with me and i promise to be a good boss.I am also glad on the commitment in working.

I have been checking my files and what i would want you to do for me this week is to run some errands out to some of the orphanage home, I do that every month .The funds will be in form of Money Order or Cashier's Check and it will be sent over to you from one of my clients and i have some list to email you once you received the funds, You will make some arrangements by buying some stuff for the kids in the nearest store arround you so you can mail them out.

I will get you more information on that, I will like you to get back to me with your Contact Details such as:

Full Name:
Address:
City:
Zip Code:
Cell Phone Number:
Current Occupation:
Age:
Email:

Once i received all the asking contact information above, i will get back to you with the task for this week and i hope you understand you will also be paid as well as its important for me to make the necessary steps before i get to the states.

I will be waiting to read from you,

Best Regards,

Nicholas Ben

We responded to a personals ad on craigslist; which now in retrospect we now we should have not done.
This person came to our house and threatened to use violence if we did not give him money. We gave him money and he left.
We informed Craigslist immediately and asked to remove the personal ad of this person immediately.
The irresponsible staff at Craigslist left the ad active and took no measure.

Also regularly I see erotic massages ads in the personal section of craigslist and despite flagging them; craigslist does not remove them.

I said "Oh Lawd, what am I gonna do?"

But I went to a lawyer,

And discussed the situation,

And brought all my communication,

'Bout "The Craigslist Stalker " on WSB...HAW! HAW!

I received an email from Craigslist Quick Cash to receive a "free" cd which details how to sell items on Craigslist for shipping & handling charges of $1.95 only, "no obligation". My curiosity cost me $319.60. I did not receive the item, but months later I learned that they billed $39.95 to my unemployment debit card (8) times from Chase Bank account. I had no other acct. w/Chase but noticed my dollars were reduced considerably. After asking Chase to explain, the printout showed that Craigslist was the culprit, they also used another name to make it look as if another company billed me. My report to BBB, Ohio Attny Gen. and anyone else that I wrote to was unsuccessful. Letters sent to Craigslist address was returned, since the address they repeatedly gave me was a "scam" address where they used as the corporate address. Chase was able to return $119. to me. I would have used my american express card and got the protection I paid for, but for $ 1/95 s/h I did not expect that would happen. The Ohio Attorney General's office closed the case since they could not get any response from Craigslist. I am one always trying to be careful to avoid scams, but I have been caught.

Craigslist listing removal: vita mix 5200 blender onwers - free drawing for sound enclosure

Maybe we didn't get it right. Every time we advertise competitively on Craigslist, like you can:

- buy a Vita Mix 4500 TurboBlend Blender with sound enclosure for $ 399.95, or
- if you own a Vita Mix 5200 Blender you qualify to enter a free drawing for a $ 100 free sound enclosure for your own Vita Mix 5200 Blender
- Blendtec blenders are noisy and we offer a free sound enclosure with it when you purchase the Blendtec HP3A blender for $ 399 from us
-etc...

Somebody removes or requests the removal, or reports our adds for removal from CraigsList. Where is the complaint? As you know, eBay owns Craigslist. Craigslist is equally poorly process engineered. Anybody can simply report any competitor for whatsoever and they remove the ad.

It does not cost anything to advertise for example a Vita Mix 5200 Blender Review Comparison with The Vita Mix Vita Prep 3 hp 1005 blender, or the Vita Mix 4500 Turbo Blender. But somebody out there, an affiliate marketer for Vita Mix, or another blender dealer, or even Vita Mix themselves, of Blendtec, etc... find offense or something wrong, justifiable or not, and your hard work goes to the garbage.

It is just bothersome. Time is money. Where can we advertise effectively? It is true that times are tough. Competition is harsh and mean, rude, and Craigslist supports this behavior, just as eBay does. On eBay, if you are seller, you constantly have to fight negative or neutral feedback with customers. Customers have all the recourse, but sellers have none to make a customer give you a better feedback. So the competition buys your cheap products and gives you the worst kind of feedback. This ranks you poorly and your listings show up on the bottom instead on top. This is the kind of company, the same, Craigslist.

Is it worth advertising on Craigslist? Yes it is. Why? When you place an html-based link or URL on your listing, it will rank your listing very high, even within top-10 on Google within a 1 week's time. This is great. But it is just frustrating of having to fight the removal thing.

Thank you for listening. I hope this helps a little.

Craigslist #

Don't send money orders to individuals selling stuff on Craigslist you may never get your item bought as I did. I bought a cheap $25 Game Boy Micro and was promised it would be mailed to me before 8/2007. Never got the item. The seller was from Ocala, Florida by the way. I negotiated with the ### and never got what I bought.

I pray someone poor stole the $25 from him and helped them out!

Craigslist is the cyberghetto. I don't shop at the ghetto in my State so I guess it doesn't make sense for me to shop at an online ghetto either. I have a problem with the fact that craigslist enters into the online community through public means but dodges moral and ethical responsibility via the private sector umbrella. It's a difficult concept for me to get through my head, all the public vs. private internet laws but someday I'll get it and when I do, websites like craigslist will only exist in a "private" cyber world.

It is not Craigslist's fault. They are constantly saying to only buy locally. Never trust anyone that you can not meet with in person.

Craigslist scam and rip off

I am a single mother with a 13 years old. Since all the changes in the economy and I have been strugle to pay my rent I decide to rent my room. A couple of people approach me and I decide to take this girl from canada she She told me she was interested in the room for just 10 months which for me workout fine. I was always Communication with her until 2 weeks ago she send me a email stating that her boss sent me a check for 4250 but it was a mistake. she said cash the check. I thought this was real because the check has the name of a company called international organic accreditation which I found on the internet. I deposited the check and the amount was in my account when I went the next to the back the check she told me to go an send her the rest of the money which was 3250 to her boss but since the check didn't clear I didn't take any money. then I deposit the check the second time and I had in my account 500.00 PLUS 4250. I made a transaction of a 1, 000 dollars it seems was 500.00 from my money and 500.00 from the check. the bank now close my account because they think I was doing fraud. I have been with this bank for the past 10 years and this is the first time something like this happen to me. I even told them that I didn't know the check was a scam but they don't care I have the copy of the check and the emails between me and her also I have the address and name for the male she wanted me to send the money

UPDATE: I just received an email from the company stating that it is fradulent. The only thing I don't undestand how these people can get hand to a check with even the logo of the company and even so how they know this company exist.

Somehow it was my fault to trust these people but before I try to cash the check I try to verify online if the name of the company was legit. I google it and I found it therefore I thought it was all true.

I noticed identical personal postings in Craiglist throughout various cities. In fact, I have found three different postings in various US cities. I notified CL and gave my phone number so I could give the specifics to CL. Instead, I am finding CL themselves are playing games with me. Sending me canned responses like their terms and conditions and saying I am the one overpostings. The problem is an individual can not overpost yet somehow some individuals can. I suspect it is CL themselves for some unknown reason and now they are trying to scare me. They have picked the wrong person to try to scare. Today they suspended my account saying I was overposting which again is impossible unless you are CL or have some type of software that allows this. I gave them two days to repond to my latest message or I will declare war and take this complaint as high as I can.

janerusselljane@msn.com you are a idiot. both those e-mails are obviously scams via too much personal info and unrealistic shipping offers. truth is there are plenty of legitimate people in rural areas who have a hard time finding local deals and will pay a few extra for shipping. your certainty that every offer involving shipping is 100% a scam is ignorance, and your ###ing over honest people trying to save some money by spreading your inaccurate opinion. i have got sellers to ship out of state before using paypal and it was a smooth transaction, so to any seller reading this if you get obvious scam offers like the example used delete them, no harm no foul. but if you get an offer that sounds legitimate but asks you to ship take a little time to get to know whos offering before you use this persons advice to discredit them. talk to them on the phone, see if they have a myspace, facebook, ect., cross reference info, its not nearly as time consuming as you think and if they arent legit you will find out pretty quickly. SO USE GOOD DISCRETION AND RESERVE SOME JUDGEMENT THERE ARE HONEST PEOPLE OUT THERE!

I had the same experience with these same rogues. They quoted a very low price over the phone (never believe movers who quote on the phone) and then charged me 10 times over.
They made me sign papers which I trusted and in the end quoted over $1000 and paid them in hard cash. They were the same AAA movers who came in the same white truck with no logo

Beware of AAA Discount Movers in Houston, TX. You will get robbed but they can actually get away with it. They quoted me a fair price and said it was a flat rate and no hidden fees. They make you sign some papers, but please read the fine prints before signing anything. I was too trusting and gave them the benefit of the doubt. A $300 quote cost me $3, ooo. When it was time to unload, they wanted their money upfront before unloading and demanded $3, 000. I argued with them, because I thought I signed an agreement to pay $300. They took out the papers that I had signed earlier. I was about to die. I didn't have the cash to pay them. Cops were called but couldn't do anything because the agreement was binding. They refused to provide identification so I can use for future references. As a result, I forked over $1, 000 and had to give them my brand new 46' Sony lcd + my laptop as payment for the balance. I was robbed! These guys are crooks! They drive a white truck, kind of like a u-haul with no company logo on the car. There are 4 men. Most movers have their logo on the truck. I should have known! Anyone looking for movers, please do not go on Craigslist. They're theives. I 've learn a very hard and painful lesson.

Craigslist craigslist scam using fake tnt shipping service

Internet fraud using craiglist and fake TNT shipping service. This has been reported elsewhere and they're still at it. Note the web page looks pretty legit but check it out carefully; note no depot in "Wolverhampton" and if you simply go to www.europetnt.com, you will be redirected to the real site of TNT shipping.

The craigslist posting was for a Macbook Pro - too good to be true. Hope this helps others to avoid making an expensive mistake. Email correspondence follows.

Hi

Yes I still have the laptop. But there is something that I didn't mention in the post. Please bear with me on this. I am now in United Kingdom. I have been relocated here with my work several months ago. I don't need the laptop anymore so I tried to sell the laptop locally, but with no luck. I was offered silly money for the laptop because of issues like - it is a US version or the warranty doesn't work here or that it has a US keyboard format. That's why I'm trying my luck in the US. Since I can't meet you and make the exchange, I found a service that will help us with that. Click on the link below to learn more about the service: TNT is a worldwide delivery company but it is better known here in the UK. You can see from their procedure that you will be able to check out the laptop before I receive the payment. In this way the both of us can be at ease. I will use 2 day delivery on my expense.

http://www.europetnt.com/tnt.express.wolverhampton.depot.overseas.transactions/

Please read their procedure and get back to me. Thanks,

I don't need the laptop anymore so I tried to sell the laptop locally, but with no luck. I was offered silly money for the laptop because of issues like - it is a US version or the warranty doesn't work here or that it has a US keyboard format. That's why I'm trying my luck in the US.
I hope you are still interested. The laptop was bought brand new from Apple a 9 months ago. I have attached some pics with it to this email.
About the laptop I can say it is 9 months old and it is in good shape, no scratches, no dents as you can see from the pics I've sent. Included in the $350 price is everything the laptop came with when it was new, including the original manuals and warranty papers. The warranty is fully transferable to the new owner.
The laptop is here with me in Italy.
I tried to be as thorough as I could with the presentation so you can have all the info if you decide to go ahead and buy it.
Please get back to me and let me know if you like the laptop if you're really interested in buying it.

Hi everyone,

I've been shutting down "Arianna's" websites for about 2 months now. I was nearly duped into this scam and decided to fight back. To date I've managed to close 6 of this scammers websites (all using the TNT name and likeness). I spend about 30 minutes a day trolling on craigslist looking for his ads all over the US and then replying to them, pretending to be interested. Once the scammer gives me a web address I take action to close it by reporting the website to the hosters. If anyone is interested in joining/helping me you can contact me at clscambaiter@gmail.com and I can explain how you can help. If enough of us reply to his ads and get his sites closed down, he'll give up and find a new way to scam people. Also, everytime you shut down his/her websites it costs him money, time and energy. Do it enough times and they'll get frustrated!

Again, email me at clscambaiter@gmail.com and I can explain how to close his/her websites. It's actually pretty easy. TAKE ACTION! FIGHT BACK!

I am selling the ipad in the US because the warranty is good only there. Because of that, nobody wants it here for this price.
I found a way to sell you the ipad that will cover the both of us. It's a worldwide delivery company called TNT. They have a service that will allow you to test the ipad before I receive my payment.
Please go to the TNT website below and read their procedure so we can be on the same page:

http://www.to-tnt.com/tnt.express.torino.depot.overseas.transactions/

I will pay the TNT shipping fee.

Thanks.

Hi, I am getting back to you regarding the iPhone 4 with 32GB from Craigslist

My name is Arianna and I am now in Torino, Italy.
I am selling the iPhone for $360 USD. I have attached some pics with it to this email.
The iPhone is still available and I hope you are still interested. I bought the iPhone brand new one week ago. The phone is locked with AT&T.
About the iPhone I can say it's in perfect shape, as I used it only for a few days. Included in the $360 price is everything that came with the iPhone when I bought it new.
The iPhone is here with me.
I tried to be as thorough as I could with the presentation so you can have all the info if you decide to go ahead and buy it.

Please get back to me and let me know if you like the iPhone if you're really interested in buying it.

Thanks,

I CALLED HER SHE WANTS $300 UP FRONT FOR CANDLES! I asked why when her many ads says PAY AFTER RESULTS. Her reply is that you are not giving her money, but her secretary and how can she work without supplies. I sent it. When I got a hold of her, days later, she said I need to send $1500 to her due to working with past psychics. I have been dealing with psychics for the last 10 yrs. I still had no results and I argued with the PAY AFTER RESULTS AD. She still comes up with excuses for it. She brainwashed me into sending her the $1500, I'm losing everything I own due to her and my family broke up. I still have no results and a broken family. She was telling me if I don't send that money to her I will die because I am cursed and spells are put on me. THIS IS EXTORTION, she was reported to the police and FTC and I am going to continue reporting this. There are other websites for Vallejo Psychic with address and pictures. She goes by different names and I found several other reviews about how there is no results but money gone and people's family lives destroyed. If I saw that first, I would have never contacted her. She does not work for you but take your money! She continues to advertise this ad on craigslist.org.

I know who exactly you are talking about. Since I hired her before and kept asking for more money. I lived in Vallejo and I know exactly where her office is. She did some work for me but I just have to stop since she kept asking for more money. Some of her work went well but I never really get the result I wanted, because she told me that she didnt finish the work since I didnt pay her more money... Exactly! Extortion...

Craigslist Childcare scam

I posted an ad for childcare on craigslist and I had a response from Dr. Harrison Smith, this was his story, Hello Iam a doctor and I will coming in your area for a 6 week seminar, I have 2 girls who are 2 years old, twins. I lost my wife some months back and Iam looking for someone to take care of them as there own mother. Please get back to when as soon as you can. thanks Dr. Smith . So I responded back that i would be interested in taking his girls and he soon responded asking me my fees and sais he will be sending the money to me and would let me know when he was going to do so. I received an eamil about a week later saying he sent the money and it was to arrive that day, it arrived shortly after that email, and as soon as i got it he emailed me that I needed to take some of that money and send it western union to a store manager for the girls item to be shipped to my house, the check was a total of $3200.00 and i was only expecting $1500.oo so I wired $1700.00 to the store manager. I no longer got home and had an email that I needed to send more money to the store cuz that wasn't enough money for the items. i did not send anymore money as it was late at night as I wasn't able to go back to western union. I then received an email the next day from my craigslist posting from a Dr. Bill Smith with the same exzact story from the Dr. Harrison Smith, and then it hit me that its a scam. He has still been trying to get to send more money and we now have to pay our bank $ 1700.00. He is trying to call me also, he is a liar and this ### needs to be caught and put in jail.

You would only be needed for few hours per week at your convenience
and will like you to get back to me with your available hours.

James is a talented son and very bright. He is fun loving, kind and
lovely. I will be needing your service for 3 months till my wife

It's okay if you prefer to be a live-in or live-out nanny as i can

Craigslist scam

So I've gotten a substantial amount of positive feedback
from candidates I've placed in the last couple weeks. So
much so, that our recruiting department had to put
together a free information kit that will answer all the
questions you may have, based on the frequently asked
questions we have compiled.

Despite the overall situation in the US economy, the demand
remains strong in this industry right now, so just get your
information kit and give me your feedback after checking it
out. Feel free to get back to me personally after you do and
I will try get back to you within 2 business days.

Application processing and placement is generally a time
consuming and sensitive process that needs to be done just
right, so you’ll be placed on a first come first serve
basis.

Therefore please get your kit right now.

Any and all questions including compensation should be
answered within the kit, but if you have more, AGAIN feel
free to contact me.

Pick it up on this link.

my name is Andrew Dove and their is a scam currently running on craigs list automobile service. I was taken for 1500$ by someone calling himself luis peterson in london england . he shows you a photo of the car then he sends you to

Hello Mr. Andrew,

Right now i will forward your full name and address to eBay.
I will initiate the transaction through Ebay and they will contact you with all necesary information about this transaction (terms, buyer protection, payment instructions, invoice, etc.)

Thanks,
Luis
Hello Andrew R. Dove,

Please tell us if You received the invoice for your transaction. Once we will receive the fax from you with the payment details as explained above, we will instruct the seller to start the shipping process. We will hold the payment until you send us your confirmation that you are satisfied with the item received. As soon we have your confirmation we will release the payment to the seller. You will receive further details regarding the shipping process (courier information, tracking method, expected delivery date) after the payment confirmation.
*NOTE: It may occur that your e-mail doesn't support HTML language and that is why you haven't received the invoice from us. Please check your bulk/junk/spam/ messages, the invoice may end there because of increased filters of the e-mails providers.

Thank you for using eBay.
Vehicle Purchase Protection Program

I've received a letter from eBay that they have sent you the invoice for the car.
Just wanted to be sure, that you received it and if you understood how to make the payment, and how to confirm it.
I have one request for you when you are going to make the payment. Please inform the Western Union agent that you are sending the money to a relative or a friend of yours in London, United Kingdom cause otherwise when i will receive my payment i have to pay 15% from the amount to the state here. I really appreciate if you can do this for me. It will help me a lot.

Thank you and look forward to doing business with you.

Hello,

You have to know that the 1994 Lexus ES300 I am selling is 100% working and great looking, no flaws or dents, no scratches or any kind of damage. The title is clear. It has 96, 860 miles, automatic transmission, leather and many options. This vehicle engine runs very very smooth. No electrical problems on this beauty. This detailed vehicle makes the exterior look like it just came off the assembly line. As I know that my current situation is pretty special I want the deal closed only through eBay's Buyer Protection Program in order for you to be 100% protected. You will make the payment to eBay and they will hold the money until you receive the car. ONLY AFTER you receive the car and inspect it (for 10 days) eBay will release the payment to me; in this way we are both protected. Anyway i am sure that if you won`t be satisfied with the car i will surely find another buyer in your area and there will be no need for you to ship the car back. I am located in London, United Kingdom and I was sent here to improve the military relationships between our country and United Kingdom. One month ago, my wife moved here with me and brought the car with her, but now we have to sell it back in the United States because we are unable to register this car here because i would have to pay very high import/custom taxes. My final price on it is $ 1500. If you will take it for this price, I am willing to handle the shipping. It will be shipped from here by plane with US Air Military Cargo so it will not cost me anything. You will get it to the nearest airport in your area and then it will be trucked forward to your place. You will receive the car in about 4 days. Please get back to me asap if you decide to buy, and include in your e-mail your full name and address where you want it shipped so I can start the deal with eBay. You will receive all the transaction payment and shipping details from them.

Thank you and have a nice day,
Luis Peterson

Craigslist craigslit

I live in Missouri. Craigslist here is loaded with nuthing but crap. I gave up using them as a job source. Its just not worth it. Ive been applying for jobs there all week. Stoped 3 days ago and still the fake job adds come rushing in my email. I applied for a receptionist position at a vet clinic on monday. Got an email redirecting me to some other site with more information about the job. Beware of the ones that ask if you would like to further your education on the bottom of the job info page. Since I was considering furthering my career in veterinary study I accidentally clicked yes. I tryed to go back and change it but it would not let me. Then I got a call from some place that claimed to be a job screening place for the position I had applied for. Receptionist for a vet clinic. They asked me questions about the job and my infomation. All sounded very legit. I had no worries. Until...they asked if I had internet access. Internet access? What kind of receptionist job requires you to have internet access? A little worried but then reasured that my job application was accepted and the next step was for the hiring manager to contact me. Well...no manager contacted me. Just some telemarketer calling me from a 1800 # telling me i asked for info to further my education. I hung up on them. They've called once or twice a day for the last 4 days. SCAM! How does a job posting for a vet clinic receptionist end up being a money grubbing, furthering your educaiton, calling twice a day, harrasing company? LATEST SCAM... As far as ive seen...you get an email that tells you they only entended this job offer to so many people and they saw your resume posted and they are interested in you, once you click on the job link it will take you to a webpage with more information about the job, appearing to be some employment listing jobsite. THINGS TO LOOK FOR WITH THIS KIND OF SCAM...IT SAYS THE COMPANY IS CONFIDENTAL (###), AND THERE IS A QUESTION ON THE BOTTOM OF THE INFO PAGE THAT ASKS IF YOU ARE THINKING ABOUT FURTHERING YOUR EDUCATION. EVEN IF YOU CLICK NO, IT WILL TAKE YOU TO THE NEXT STEP AND THEY WILL CALL AND HARASS THE HELL OUT OF YOU. The job was a fake job listing posted to get your information. PEOPLE BECAREFUL WITH THE SO CALLED "CONFIDENTIAL" JOB SOURCES. If they are really posting a job...they more then likely will not post it confidentual. Mother always says "If it sounds too good to be true...it probably is". Got another one today. Got a lil excited at first cause it said they were offering $17 for an office position and they requested that I look into it. When I clicked on the job link that said office position, it took me to a page that looked like a employment listing jobsite. BUT...It said the company was "CONFIDENTUAL" and that same " Are you thinking about furthering your educatin question with the dot to click yes or no in was there. SCAM! I also clicked on a job link on craigslist claming to be a job posting for postal jobs. Its a SCAM! When you apply for a postal job they require you to take an exam. This scam place gives you a number to call to set up a appointment or whatever for the exam. When you call...they tell you about the open job positions at the postal service...as well as some other info, and then tell you to take the exam...it will only cost you $175. WHAT!? Im pretty sure the US POSTAL SERVICE does not charge you $175 to take their exam to get employment! CRAIGSLIST HAS BECOME A BIG JOKE! ON YOU! DO NOT TRUST ANYTHING ON IT!

I found a Nissan 350Z on Craigslist, placed the order and the seller told me a story about the car.
The seller all of a sudden changed the purchase from craigslist to eBay. After sending the money to an eBay representative, my friend then found the same car in a different town; emailed the seller and the seller gave him a different story and attempted to sell the car to him. Ever since i asked for a refund, "eBay" and the seller stopped contacting me.

I tried to sell a vehicle on craigslist and was personally flagged by them. How is it a "craigslist killer" can post contact info., sell a house, garage sell, etc w/ contact info. but not me?Anyways I let the FCC and SEC do the talkin' for me.I emailed them (co and ceo) a copy of the "open internet" policy filed last year w/ the FCC.What they are doing is UNFAIR and ILLEGAL!Here is the proof of ad w/ identifying tracking numbers... I posted an ad for sharing an apt (my own, where I live). I kept getting bounced for the most ridiculous reasons, like not being able to put in the # of bedrooms or that a person would have his/her own br. I've read the regulations a # of times, I am a professor, so understand language quite well. I would have a reply, then get flagged -- maybe by the person who answered and who would then want no competition? There is no one to help at CL. I strongly recommend boycotting this site, and finding alternatives.

Some individual is trying to scam people out of $750.00 to save a single stray dog of heart worms. I posted that the money could feed a lot of hungry children instead of saving one sick stray dog. The ignorant OP in the pet section deleted the post. That miserable individual thinks saving one stray dog from heart worms makes more sense than feeding hungry children. What A pathetic piece of crap. Craigslist's way of thinking is.

We are a tax preparation service that is looking to hire several new employees for the tax season. We're offering real positions in a tight job market.

Craigslist is not letting us run our ads based on arguments that are not valid conerns, primarily because we have a tax course that employees need to pass in order to work for us.

Seems like a website that allows infinte questionable 'personal' ads should not have a problem with something that actually contributes to society.

Hello,

Hope you're having a pleasant day today
You contacted me applying for the position which I advertised on
*****slist. Do take time to go through this introductory mail and feel
free to pass any questions on.

My profile briefly:
I'm Marc Donalds, 54, and a father of 2 wonderful kids, a successful
entrepreneur and investor, a member of the Angel Investment Network.
I'm also a research journalist with the ENEPRI and I travel every now

I have had a previous PA who has been very commendable in her
activities and who has been part of my life for the past 6 months, she
has since moved on with her personal life and it has affected me in a
way. I found her previously on the *****slist website and I sincerely
hope I will be able to find someone again who will be as efficient as
she has been.
Please note that you are being hired only on a personal level. All
correspondences would be made and promptly reported to me personally.
The position is part time and home-based meaning you can work most
times from your home as long as you have a regular internet access.
You are also hired on a trial basis for now until we are able to see
how well we fit in, this however does not affect your weekly wage.

with management and other staff related to me;
* Making regular contacts and drop-offs on my behalf.
* Handling and monitoring financial activities.
* Processing and taking charge of weekly payments and purchases.
* You will also be a part of my household and a helping hand to issues
as they arise.
* General clerical activities.
Basic wage is $350 a week.
Any extra personal expenses (transport, gas, etc) incurred by you
while on an errand or otherwise will also be reimbursed by me at the
end of each working week.

Carigs kist will not assist a user with any problem. They will not respond to any email questions and will provide no help to a user. They only send endless and identical "faq" responses to any question you ask.

The only solution to their aragant responses are to open another account and start over. They just don't care.

Nothing I ever list on Craigslist gets even a response. You could try to give away a Rolls Royce and still you would only get a bunch of scammers offering to pay with a phony cashiers check.
