Cox Communications Never a customer.

Received past due notice from I.C. Systems/ Cox Communication acct #[protected], reference #[protected]-1-99. This was for $481.05. I called ICS informed them I never been a Cox customer. This is a fraud. Tried to call Cox several times just got the run around. Would like this straighten out. Cox communication is not working with me. Would like to see a revised statement from Cox and ICS. This is not good for my credit. I filed a complaint with the BBB hoping it will help. Thanks Sharon Field

Cox Communications some one opened a account in my name fraudulently in Phoenix Arizona

This is the second time that I have filed a complaint . it was marked resolve yet it was not . This collection keeps being passed from agency to agency and i am continuing to be harassed.My name is Renee Harris I reside in Chicago ill and have my entire life some one opened a account in my name Ive filled a police report #JE113630 contacted the credit Bureau and filed a complaint with the FTC#[protected] yet this collection is still on my report and i am being Harassed and threatened daily by several different agency.

Cox Communications Being billed for a home life security system that was not requested, nor was it installed. Ver berg

My name is Lynda Quinn [protected]), I am a care taker for my father Earnest Solomon. He is elderly (87 yrs old).. I was looking through his mail and noticed a charge of $20.00 on his Cox cable bill.. He did not know what the charge was billing for. I went to a Cox Cable Store in Warner Robins, GA. on 09.07.21, I spoke with Pamela Mosely-Brown, she informed me that the $20 charge on the bill was for home security monitoring. I advised her that my Dad home does not have any type of home security monitor equipment from Cox Cable. She stated the equipment was installed on 06.09.2019. Cox Cable has never installed any type of home security devices at my Fathers house. On 09.08.21, I spoke with Charity at Cox Cable [protected]) she would not give me her last name, but stated she worked of of Wichita. I advise her also, that my Father home does not and has never had any type of home security devices installed by anyone from Cox Cable. Charity stated they have a recorded call that was received on 06.06.2019, the caller ordered the security devices. That information is not correct, my Father has only contacted Cox when he has problems with his television cable outage. Cox came to the house once and had to replace some cable wire but they did not install any home security monitoring devices. I was told two Technicians came to the house on 06.09.2019, they allegedly installed monitors on windows and a chime on the doors. That is not correct, the home has never had a chime on the door nor has there ever been any monitors on the windows installed by Cox Cable. The Cox technician numbers are 31015 and #36663. My Father has paid over $520.00 to Cox for a service that has never been provided. My Father is elderly and has an excellent payment history with Cox Cable, it was an oversight that he missed noticing that he was paying for a service that he was not receiving. I requested a full refund from Cox, I was told they could only refund up to sixty days payment. This is not the first time that Cox has added unwanted service to my Dad bill. This is Elderly Abuse, and fraud. I am requesting a refund of all monies paid to Cox for a security monitoring system that was never installed.. Please investigate and advise. Thank you, for your assistance.

Desired outcome: Refund of $520..00 , plus all taxes paid.

Cox Communications Bills received from Convergent. Fraud.

My wife and I received 2 bills from a company called Convergent. They told us that these were for Cox Communications. They also told us to go to Fraud/Cox.com to fill out fraud forms. In which we did do that only to find no forms. They said these bills are from 2016. From Oaklahoma. My wife and I have never lived in Oaklahoma. They also had a name of an individual who had the contract. Whom we do not know. This is obvious identity theft. Please provide us with the Fraud paperwork to fill out.

Resolved

It hasn't been resolved to my or my wife's knowledge. I have received no E-mail or communication from Cox Communications. I will never pay these bills. Still waiting. Guy Huff

Cox Communications Fraud

This is the second time Cox communication has sent me to collection, for service i did not order. I need this matter resolved ASAP and off my credit. I have filed a police report again and filed a complaint with the FTC and BBB. How can someone use my SSI, and you don't even verify the persons identity.

Desired outcome: I want this off my credit, these are not my service charges.

Cox Communications Cox gave unauthorized service with my personal information

Cox communications turned service on at unauthorized address and has waited for months later and put a fraudulent report on my credit report. Cox installation representative left a message on my voicemail saying he was coming to install service at 233 Azalea street in Waggaman, Louisiana. I called back and left a message letting him know that I did not authorize any technician at this particular address. I also contacted Cox communications to let them know that I did not authorize service at this particular address and I needed it cancelled immediately. The representative said that it would be taken care of and I had nothing to worry about. A couple of weeks later I receive a phone call from a representative asking me how was the installation? I told him there was not supposed to be an installation. He said maam I'm sorry. I went to the Cox Communications on Lapalco in Marrero and asked one of the representatives to check to see if service was on in my name and he said it was. I immediately asked him to shut the service off because I never authorized this service and he did. He went on to say I would be responsible for the equipment and I did not understand why I should be responsible for something I never authorized. Cox Communications knowingly gave service to someone who obtained my information and I called before they installed the equipment to cancel this fraudulent service. Cox Communications then months later put on my credit report that I owed them 544.62. I went to the location confiscated the equipment and turned it in, the representative said I owed nothing. It is now September and its on my credit report I owed them money (544.62). I'm in the process of getting an attorney to file a lawsuit for punitive damages which caused my credit score to drop 29 points over a lie. Cox Communications is trying to take money from me which they knew in advance this was fraudulent with what they were doing but they did it anyway.

Desired outcome: TAKE THE FRAUDULANT LIE OFF OF MY CREDIT REPORT OR BRING ME TO COURT

Cox Communications Cable internet

Almost every other month for messing up on our billing I got online to pay the billing for my parents like I always do The amount with tax included comes out to 187 I was given my dad‘s bank account card he put the information in it gave us a confirmation number then the next following month when we went to pay the new bill it shows 500 sum They said that last month bill wasn't paid and I told them have a confirmation number they sent out a ticket and n after that I told them I would like to pay this new months bill they said it's $0 they said check back tomorrow that they keep getting errors I did n what do u know the price has double again

Desired outcome: Come to agreement fix price or wave them two month of your mistake along with late fees

Cox Communications Cox email system is busted

No matter how many times you reset it, it fails over and over again. I have worked with their tech's with no results or change.
You people need to be able too fix your equipment in one service call with a positive result, shane on you people. You need to give me my money back.

Desired outcome: My email is still busted. I can't send or receive emails.

Cox Communications COX Cable

My internet hasn't worked for two weeks. I also have CenturyLink internet, so I just switched over to Centurylink, so I can continue working from home. I then noticed that my cable also stopped working because I didn't have cox internet working. The cable box wouldn't work with CenturyLink internet (big shock). I called to get it fixed and to get cable boxes that are not dependent on cox internet. I spoke to technical support first, then I was transferred to the loyalty department to get my cable boxes swapped and to obtain a credit for the time my service didn't work. The agent with the loyalty department refused to help and demanded I speak with technical support. I told the agent multiple times that I already spoke with technical support and I needed the loyalty department for the new boxes and the credits. That agent cold transferred me back to the technical support anyway and I had to be transferred back to the loyalty department again. That was strike 1. The second loyalty agent sent me the new cable boxes and said she gave me the credits. The next day I receive 1 cable box, when I told the agent multiple times, that I had two cable boxes. That was strike 2. I called the next day to get the new box and technical support said I needed the sales department. The sales department refused to help, didn't tell me that, and blind transferred the call to technical support, who couldn't help, and advised me to chat with a sales agent for the new cable box. I got the chat agent who then tells me that she needs to collect a $50 deposit for the cable box. So now cox wants to punish me with a deposit, when their agent removed my boxes in error and I just needed to swap the cable boxes for ones that dont require the internet. I had Dish for years and never had any issues. I got cox about 2 years ago and I am shocked with the lack of service I've received. I still haven't gotten the assistance needed, I am still paying for service I am not getting. I need cox to do the right thing and restore my service regarding my internet and my 2 cable boxes, without the need for a deposit for their error. I would like to be made whole and just have the service I have had for almost 2 years. There are so many strikes at this point, I stopped counting after the two.

Cox Communications Internet service - new customer

They are lying and playing with me.
The sales representatives are dumb and totally untrained. They cannot see the need for me to order a technician to come by for the installation of my modem.
I was advised that this is the case by talking to three customer support "specialists".
I scheduled an appointment. However, despite that, they are "trying" to accommodate my free time with the availability of the techs, at some point they rescheduled twice my appointment. The first time they even did not bother to send me an email. It was an act of revenge, since I was so pissed that Cox does not have any integrity-doing what they claimed will do.
After 4 reschedulings of tech visitation, now I am sitting at my home, actually enjoying a day off, so I can meet the tech, but nobody's here. The tech was supposed to be here between 8-10 on the 18th of August and now it is 10:41.
Why? why? why?... Maybe because COX HAS NO COMPETITORS! That's why!

Desired outcome: Wave the tech charge if a tech person come by.

Cox Communications Predatory billing

We cancelled our internet service with Cox in June by phone and Cox continued to bill us. We disputed the charges with our credit card company and had to get a new card with a new number. Cox added late charges and will not reverse the charges.
When we tried to cancel on Cox's chat platform on their website, after spending a lot of time entering all the information and going back and forth they tell you to call them. When you call to cancel, YOU'RE PUT ON AN INDEFINITE HOLD.
We went through this process several times and they refuse to reverse the
charges. They also do not provide accessible customer service for resolving disputes.

Desired outcome: Reverse all billed charges due on our Cox account.

Cox Communications Home wi-fi

Do not buy from this company. The customer support is terrible. I'm paying for 500 speed and never got past 200, with a max effort attempt. I'm informed that cox is good on every part so it must be something on my end that's causing issues. My bill randomly increased $60, on top of the $90 I already pay. When I tried getting this fixed I was told I should upgrade my plan which costs $40 more a month. The reps are rude and not helpful. Terrible employees and management. I'll say once more. Buy from someone else.

Cox Communications There is fraudulent charges made on this account in my name cox internet

Date: unknown dates at this time somewhere in 2019-another open Feb-2021
I have Bills and Electricity where I stay..You can request my bill for the last 4 months showing my location.I have Duke Energy for electric...This is not my account with cox cable. Account # [protected] . Will also file a police report.

Sold a package in june for $125.00 with year contract and price guarantee. Bill jumped up to 197.00 on second billing . Bait and switch time for a lawyer!

Cox Communications identity theft/fraud

i filed forms on the web to cox that someone used my info to open account with cox, i filed the paper work with cox and sent it on 6/18/2021. i spoke to an agent and she gave 2 ref numbers, 1. [protected] and 2. cox acc #[protected] i have heard anything from cox, and as of now my credit report is way down, and i never had any problem like this. MY NAME IS RAMI SHANI. Cox Communications Television

Waited all day for a repair person. We called 5 times a where told he would be here by 1:31 pm. Never showed even though he said he did. I have a security system that doesn't show him even came to our home. Called to get him to come back and was told he already came and we weren't home. Tried to get him back but to know avail. This has been in needed stress. Very dissatisfied with the out come.

Cox Communications Internet service

For the last several months my internet has dropped numerous times a day, everyday. I've contacted them and they have no idea when it will be fixed. One tech even told me I required a new modem. Didn't solve the issue. I require internet at home to perform a majority of my work. I'm sick and tired of this failure to correct this issue. I'm waiting for Skylink to come on board where I live and will dump Cox like a bad dream. This probably won't happen until the end of this year. In the mean time I have to deal with their failure to spend the money to correct the issue.

Desired outcome: Upgrad their infrastruckture to permantly correct issue.

Cox Communications reckless driving and harrassment

oklahoma city at nw 10th and meridian
truck almost rear ended me then rode my tail at unsafe (inches) distance.
i slow down for them to pass, they do only to pull in front of me slamming the breaks on so i almost hiut them. then drives 10mph for a half mile only to drive off into the strip club located on 10th street. as i pass they jump out to yell and throw me the finger

Cox Communications Commercial

While watching Pluto TV I have been assaulted by the latest ad for Cox internet service. It features a woman (looks like a very competent kindergarten teacher) in a video online singing a VERY obnoxious and repetitive song "toody ta a toody ta a ta ta ta" to a marching beat. It is a maddening example of the sort of brain melting idiotic dreck often popular in children's music that the youngest children seem to put on endless loop. This is, of course, the joke as the view widens to include the kid dancing around to the video playing on the laptop while the parents writhe in agony on the couch. Understandable!
While one or two showings of this hideous audio assault may be amusing to people familiar with this phase of parenting with patience, it is shown AD NAUSEAM on Pluto to the point of repeating itself 2 to 4 times in a single commercial break! This is torture! I can't imagine anyone being able to stand it for more than one playing.
It has actually inspired me to start looking into an alternative to Cox for my communication service. This is a prime example of an ad that is having the complete opposite effect of the intended. I'm seriously sick and tired of missing the first few seconds of the shows I am watching because I have to mute every commercial break to avoid this monster ear worm.
Please.. make it stop!

Desired outcome: Take the commercial for Cox internet with the obnoxious song off the air!

Cox Communications Internet installation long delay. Brand new homes

2 side by side new ground up residences. In Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca. Need underground wiring pulled from street to house in our provided underground conduit. Been delayed delayed delayed and after hours and hours of being jacked around by uninformed Tec/Sales reps still after 2 weeks no one knows a thing about getting our internet wires pulled to each new home and then internet installed in house by Cox. 2 different crews. We are having theft to these houses and need internet to secure properties.
