Courts Singapore Bad customer service

We bought LG Washing Machine on 20 Feb 2016. This product is under my Wife's name Angelina D/O Manickam. HP:- [protected].

It has been fine till last year 2020 August. As we also have bought the Extended Warranty we called for them to repair. The problem was "the machine cannot be turned ON" The repair guy came and checked and changed the front LCD panel. The machine worked fined again. after a month or so the same problem came back "the machine cannot be turned ON" Again the repair guy came and changed the LCD panel again. It worked well and the problem came back beginning this year 2021 January. Called the repair guy again and this time he says we need to change the front panel which is not covered under the Extended Warranty. When asked them they say only Electrical and mechanical problem is covered under warranty. Isn't not able to turn on the machine a electrical issue. and they have unscrew the LCD panel from the front panel and tell its 2 different things not related.

Mr Leo from Courts who was handling this issue from courts also failed in communicating with us and gave false promises they will call us back like his colleague Miss Jay. Miss Jay very sternly talk me down and end the call even after asking for clarification and end the call. Now Courts has thrown the issue back to Extended Warranty. We are not sure how long this will carry on going if there were to be no spare parts. Courts customer service don't even give as loan washing to use till this settled. This embarrassing as other Big company's do lend out loan sets just to retain and customer satisfaction is their priority.

We have been buying from COURTS items very often over the past 20 years. COURTS always puts its customer's satisfaction first. We have never been so disappointed with this purchase and extended warranty issue that make us think twice to come back to COURTS for any item in future.

We would like COURTS to help us dealing with Extended warranty as their service and no courteous to call back to us is very disappointing. The staff at extended warranty not qualified to handle customers simply put on hold and not attend the call. I have called them several times and they keep pushing the issue to COURTS and say that they are unable to help me and put the phone down. Please take back the machine and offer us another one. We have unwashed clothes piling up.

Courts Singapore Refrigerator extended warranty no proper response

Problem Statement: On 27- Dec-2020, engaged customer care for spoiled freezer unit on 2 door refrigerator model LG GBB4451GV, Invoice # 867631684330, attended by customer support personal Ms Kavi.

Background:
1) On 26- Dec-2020, Ms Kavi said the service personal will attend in two working days time.
2) On 29-Dec-2020, Service personal from THT (Top Hong Traders) called me at 6:28 PM and told will attend to refrigerator between 7 to 10 PM.
3) On 29-Dec-2020, 7:40 PM during our dinner time the service personal attended to the refrigerator, removed all the tray from freezer unit and opened up the panels and took pictures of the refrigerator compressor units.
4) On 29-Dec-2020, THT service engineer gave me LG contact number and asked me to contact the LG Person, he told please call them and ask LG personal to come onsite and visit and subsequently pay for the repair and claim it back from THT.
5) On 30-Dec - 2020 and 31- Dec-2020 I tried to call LG Customer care somehow unable to get beyond voice mail and unable to speak to their customer service
6) On 02-Jan-2021 Happy new year, rest if the complete refrigerator unit started functioning bad and most of the food items started to spoil, main point Inhave a toddler and kid at home and refrigerator started giving out foul odour.
7) On 03-Jan-2021, Tried calling customer service hot line again, I got same answer from same Ms Kavi, will try to get back between 1 working day
8) On 04-Jan-2021, called LG customer care successfully and the answer as expected was Courts need to get back to LG with documentation then only they will send service representative to the home.

Lesson still trying learn painfully

1. Why is reputed firms like courts hard selling extended warranty program through all its sales person, if there is no system to follow up promptly for customer?

2. Easiest selling point to catch customer is call us we will do one to one replacement, there is full list of terms and conditions and even though fault fulfilled all terms and condition the expected waiting time is confirmed only after weekend!

3. Why the sales people are available and hard selling extended warranty on weekends, while the service team or warranty team is not available during weekend?

4. When I am buying extended warranty program through courts, why did service personal asked me (Customer) to go through LG customer care myself?

5. Where is the courts ownership on the entire loop of communication on extended warranty? Why customer is the one needed to engage the LG directly? Why customer need to pay to courts for extended warranty, in the end customer is the one who needs to liaise with every end?

6. With Toddler at home and during long weekend the refrigerator gets spoiled, ensuring it takes down all the food items with it, imagine the trauma of arranging the food. Specially milk and yogurt and rearranging all provisions again! keep in mind the food cost in Singapore!

7. All the above concerns make me worry did the person who came for servicing was really resourceful as the problem was just unable to form Ice, and door cabinet not cooling enough, after that particular photo taking session of 20 minutes on 29-Dec-2020 ended up whole refrigerator not cooling?

8. I being a rationale person usually don't suspect workmanship, as we must trust an individual for all their skills but chain of events after 29 - Dec - 2020 really made me ponders on service personal skill set, as trauma I endured this new year will make me remember Courts and LG in a very unfortunate and regrettable way.

If I had not not had this extended warranty, I could have blamed my luck went to any other shop and get a brand new refrigerator unit and there shouldn't be any alternative guesses on brands or the malls.

9. For the record LG refrigerator was bought on 8-Dec-2018 from courts WELL SOLD BY SALES PERSON FOR EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAM AND REFRIGERATOR HAS 10 YEARS COMPRESSOR LIFE WARRANTY.

Hardest and Painful dawn of new year 2021!

Desired outcome: Resolve or replace the refrigerator at the earliest

Courts Singapore Electrolux ewt754xw / tax invoice 877610108490

This is a complain regarding the service repaired of my washing machine elextroluxEwt754xw and also about the extended warranty tax invoice 877610108490 I purchased from courts on 2nd Nov 2017.I am appalled at the attitude of the extended warranty customer service staff Wong Chooi Eeng and the manager Yadevan who refused to assist me on 26thand 27th Oct 2020 but instead the staff hang up rudely on me. My washing machine gave problem on the 2nd year of purchased but it is covered by warranty from the Electrolux agent this due to their knowledge and expertise the repairman came and changed the top cover of the washing machine as it is part of the internal function of the washing machine to be able to work.I bought the washing machine in the year of 2017 along with the extended warranty which was stated by the salesman at courts that the warranty purchased is good so as if the product is faulty at some point I am able to get it fixed or exchange it 1 to 1 whichever is applicable.Almost 3years on August 2020, the same problem persist and the top cover hinge loose /broken therefore the washing machine cannot perform because it is able to function with cover properly closed.I called the service extended warranty 3times for them to fix it and they used a metal piece to screw the hinge together on the top cover and assured me that it will not recur again nevertheless, as with failed promises, the washing machine cover acted up again after a month on October 2020 and this time the metal piece gave way and broke both parts of the cover, therefore, the same thing E3 prompted and cannot function during the mid of my washing .I called the extended warranty (Courts)and explained to them and the repairman from Song Kwang (contract by Courts)came and insisted nothing can be done and I have to pay another $120.I am angry as not even less than 3 months the top cover door was faulty and that shows the repairman did a horrible job and inefficient.
I am frustrated because I was cheated by lies told by courts that by buying extended warranty I am free from worries of any faulty of the products as it can be fixed or exchanged of same value.Song Kwang repairman Naga quoted job no.Sk42770 attended but no service done.I called the extended warranty customer service for explanation but the manager Yadevan refused to answer my call and help with any solution which I wonder his job title. On top of that a very rude customer service staff Wong Chooi Eeng banged the phone down on me and another Atikah told me to call courts hotline .Is this a ping pong ball matter where you just push things around for customer instead of helping and resolving the issue? I have been Courts customer for the past 20years but the current Courts service is utterly disappointing.Washing machine is a necessity daily needs and you have to wash clothes daily to do your normal routine but up till now almost a week noone has called me back to render service and I am paying the extended warranty for free?
Please do not lie to customers about the extended warranty on the t/c which does not even stated it does not cover the washing machine top cover.Elextrolux washing machine ftop cover function together with the internal system otherwise it doe not work at all so please don't tell me it's external defect.
If Courts is truly a customer oriented company I am very sure this message will have a reply soon.

Courts Singapore Customer service jantzen

Called the customer service regarding washing machine warranty at around 8pm-9pm.
Date: 29/9/20
Jantzen helped to check all 4 mobile numbers (as we were unsure which of our family members actually bought the washing machine)
After running through the system, he said he could not find any washing machine under any of the numbers. He could not find any records of purchase as well. After the second confirmation he could not find 8kg washing machine under our name. And magically, After we got agitated, he found our washing machine under our contact number after us waiting for more than 20 mins.

He was not only rude but also very defensive and interrupted us multiple times when we were trying to just find out a simple qn on our warranty period.

What kind of service is this, COURTS?

Courts Singapore Extended warranty tax invoice: 928680662850,

I bought a Hizero F801 Vacuum Cleaner cum Mop
SN; [protected].
Ihave problem with the Vacuum somewhere around late March 2020, but could not have the time to sent it for repair. Then come the Circuit Breaker Period. It was only after the Circuit breaker period that I contacted Courts Singapore, and I was told to bring it to the Mega Store in Tampines. somewhere after the Circuit breaker was lifted then only the store is open. After about 3 days the store reopen I brought the Vacuum to Mega Store but was told that I have to bring it to the Third Party Shop for repair. I was told to bring it to Courts for the repair when I called before going there. I did not argue, and brought the Vacuum home, Wile driving Home I receive a call to say that Courts will arrange for the third Party representative to collect it. It was collected on the 3rd July 2020.
I was told that it would be around one week to ten days for the repair. I waited for about 3 weeks but when I call the third Party Shop I was told that it is the Battery fault, and I have to order the Battery myself from Lazada. Then only they will repair it.
I was shocked and called Called Courts to clarify, nobody was able to assist me, they keep saying that the Person In charge of Extended Warranty was busy. I only received help from a Ms. Tara who really tried to assist me, but she could not do anything. My question is why is the third Party calling me instead of Courts Extended Warranty staff to called me to say that I have to bear the cost of the Battery. I would absolutely be agreeable to pay for it if it is not covered in the Extended Warranty. As of today I have not received any called from Courts. The third Party have returned my Vacuum Cleaner without being reparedon the5th of August 2020.
I would appreciate it if someone from Court would give me a Good explaination and what should I do?
I am a very LOYAL Courts Customer, I have purchase around 51 Items from Courts ranging from Air-Conditioner, Matteress, Washing machine and a lot Household appliances and Furnatures. Should I be getting this Kind of Service.
Hoping to hear from You Soon.
I Remain
Yours Sincerely

Courts Singapore Issue with workmanship

We bought LG system 4 aircon from Courts at Nex on 17 May 2019. Court's sub-contractor came to our house to do the installation and it was all good.
After a few months, the aircon started to leak due to condensation. It was so bad that we could fill a bucket. We called the Courts for service and their men came to do the usual cleaning and said that the condensation was due to dirty filter. This happened about 3 to 4 times within a year.

In July 2020, we called 3rd party air-con serviceman to check our aircon. He said that we were cheated by the Courts. He added on that, each aircon has 2 copper pipes and every copper pipe need insulation on its own. However, in our case, there were 2 copper pipes in one insulation. So, no matter what we do, the condensation will come back. The only solution is to re-doing the whole thing.

Since we paid extra for extended warranty, we went back to the Courts at Nex to ask about this. Mr Benson attended to us. We explained and showed the pictures to him. He agreed that each copper pipes needs to be in one insulator. Since it was a Sunday (5 July), he said that he will check with his manager and contractor and get back to us on Monday. However, no one called us back on Monday.

Today (7 July), we contacted Mr Benson to check status. He told us that he has already passed the message to his contractor to follow up with us. When we told him that no one called us, he added on that he is on leave today, so he will check and get back to us tomorrow. But we thought he was supposed to check with his manager and give us a solution on Monday, not to get their contractor to call us.

First of all, we purchased the aircon from Courts, so we expect Courts to solve this issue. We don't want their sub-contractor to call us. Courts should take the responsibility and solve the issue, not just pass the matter to someone else and push us around. We need solution!

We have attached the pictures for your reference.

Courts Singapore Buy new fridge not cold, refuse to exchange or refund despite 14 days hassle free return. Poor customer service.

Hi, I just received my new Panasonic NRBM220SSSG 2 door fridge (gross 205L) from courts using same day delivery last Friday. I was told to wait for 1 or 2 days for the fridge to be cold but it has been more than a week, and yet the refrigerator is still at around 10degress and a lot of items are already spoilt due to the water condensation it caused by the high temp. I had called ur customer service twice to exchange for another fridge but was only told to contact Panasonic on my own. I mean what kind of customer service is this? I hv purchased Something new/a new fridge ok, not something I used for a few years or months and it's getting not cold enuf now. It's a brand new item. Why do I hv to repair it when it's still new and I hv just received it from courts? Shouldn't it be courts whom should be responsible to take back something which is up to normal standard. What's the point of ur hassle free 14 days exchange or refund? Or it's just a gimmick? Thus, I think courts should offer to let me exchange this fridge which doesn't work properly, for another one in a good working condition one which is cold enuf. I had bought a number of fridge before for my old or new house but nvr had such problem with any fridge. I have courts so many times but there's no reply. Hereby, I hope courts can give me a resolution ASAP. My invoice no: [protected].

Courts Singapore Delivery of defective bed frame

Ordered a bedframe and mattress BEFORE CNY, item came defective, delivery by manufacturer direct and the man promised to redeliver the replacement once arrived. No communication thereafter. Called up the guy again, said arriving 'next Friday'. again two weeks passed, no update, nothing. Called up the guy, again, 'next Friday' and gave a filmsy excuse of miscommunication.
Order was through Courts so thought of asking Courts for help. Sent in the email and despite getting all the details from me, the customer associate, Ben, again repeat 'next Friday'. He even took the supplier side and said that since the manufacturer had already call me and told me 'next Friday'.
I'm supposed to be waiting for the 'next Friday' that will / will not come?

Courts Singapore Poor services: no updates after refund request on 30 dec 2019

This is a follow-up to the complaint "Courts Singapore — no delivery updates after online purchases in november 2019 (1 month ago)" on 25 Dec 2019.

On 28 Dec 2019, the online team contacted me that the items are no longer available for sales and OOS. In the same email, the team indicated that the refund process would take 1-2 weeks.

Since the items are not available, I replied to the email on 30 Dec 2019 to cancel the order and requested for refund. After 3 weeks without any acknowledgement for my refund request, I sent another email on 20 Jan 2020 for an update. Once again, I did not receive any reply.

I do not know why I have to continue to wait any longer than the stipulated time provided by the team. The only reason I can think of is that my refund is yet to be processed because my email is not read by the online team.

Please look into the matter.

Courts Singapore No updates on delivery, missing items and poor coordination

Purchased a photo printer with another set of ink for office use. The supposed delivery supposed to be on 26 Dec 19, 11am to 2pm. Upon purchasing in store, have already informed the staff to avoid 12.30pm to 1.30pm due to lunch break. The delivery personnel called at 12.35pm, no one is at the office. The delivery only arrived at 2.30pm.

However, the delivered item only has the printer, without additional set of ink I have ordered. Called the outlet, the staff have told me that it will be delivered on 27/12/19. When I call the hotline, the CSO told me the delivery is on 28/12/19 and said that it was the arrangement. How it is it possible when the office is closed?!. Very dissappointed with the delivery and Courts. I was intending to get my furniture and electronics for my new home from Courts but I think I will purchase from other retailers

Courts Singapore Poor services and empty promise after purchase of sofa from courts singapore

Complaint about poor workmanship, poor service and empty promise! Last month, I purchased a sofa set at Courts Tampines. Within half an hour of its installation and departure of the deliverymen, I noticed a sofa leg hanging in the air, not touching the floor. I immediately called the deliveryman, called Customer Service multiple times, sent multiple emails. It has been one month and problem not resolved.
Hope no one else ever suffer this ordeal. The deliverymen who also installed the sofa appeared to have skills not up to standard. Never would I imagine that the sofa, which consists of two separate units, was not installed properly. Within half an hour after the two men left, I noticed a sofa leg hanging in the air, not touching the floor.
On the same afternoon, I called deliveryman and Courts Hotline numerous times with lines cut off in the midst of conversations. On the day that a QC staff was supposed to come to my house as informed, no one came and no one contacted me. Another date was set for a QC staff to come to my house. This time, a man came, used his tools to drill and fix the sofa legs. The same sofa leg remained not touching the floor. He said that he has done "maximum" and he would get the unit of sofa (single-seater) replaced. Due to the specific colour, it would take two weeks to make the sofa. Someone from the Delivery Department would contact me to set the date of delivery. Till today, the promise was not delivered

Prompt action to fix the problem, please. Sofa with one leg less, isn't it a big safety concern?! A dangerous item is sitting in my living room ironically for my sitting. With one leg less, wondering about my sofa frame's stability and its uneven spread of support. Naturally it would be more prone to stress and strain and its lifespan reduced significantly!

Please act fast and replace it. Do come with right tools and skilled people this time.

Hi Jeff,
Thank you for your response. It has been an exasperating experience brought by the purchase of the sofa (Brand: NICOLLO L Shaped, Model: NIKOLE). As requested, my Invoice Number is [protected]. Looking forward to effective, efficient and reliable follow up.

Would like to complain about poor workmanship, poor customer service and poor product from Courts. On 21/11/19, I bought a sofa set from Courts Tampines. It was delivered to my house on 5/12/19. Two men fixed the legs of sofa and attached two separate units together. Within half an hour after the men left, I noticed a leg of sofa was not touching the floor. I called the deliveryman and requested him to return to fix the leg. He did not return and did not answer my calls thereafter. I called the Courts Hotlines to inform them the problem. After a tedious process to get to talk to someone, the line was cut off. It happened at least twice. I have given my Tax Invoice no. as requested. No one called me back. When I finally got through line and talked to someone, I had to tell him to ensure the line would not cut off, else he must call me back. And the conversation can continue. As advised, I sent an email attached with pictures to explain the problem of the sofa leg not fixed properly. I requested for fixing of the sofa legs asap as I was going overseas the following week. On 6/12, Courts informed me that QC staff would come to my house to check on the sofa on 7/12, 11am-2pm. When a few minutes approaching 2 pm and no one came, I called Hotline to enquire. The person said to wait. I waited for entire day. No one from Courts came to my house or called me. I could not get through the Hotline anymore on 7/12. It was waiting and waiting on the line. I emailed on 17/12 to Courts again. On 19/12, a Mr Chong from QC Courts came, uses his tools to drill and fix legs of sofa. The leg remained not touching floor. He said the he has done his best and he would get the one-seater sofa (with leg not touching floor) replaced. Due to specific colour of sofa, it would take two weeks to make sofa. Someone from delivery department would contact me latest by 23/12 to arrange date of delivery. I requested for written agreement about the decision. He said things go "by electronic" and he could not give me any written note. His words are recorded by our home surveillance camera. On 20/12, a customer service staff called me to ask for whole set of sofa to be collected for repair as tools are only available at their company. I was surprised by this call. I just purchased a new sofa and it is faulty enough to be collected back for repair. This is not acceptable. I requested for the decision mentioned by the Mr Chong to be delivered. After this call, no one contacted me via hp or email.

Courts Singapore No delivery updates after online purchases in november 2019 (1 month ago)

On 29 November 2019, I have made an online purchase intended for Christmas gifts (LED monitor and PS4 console bundle pack) but have not receive any information or contact about the delivery after 17 working days (as of now). I contacted COURTs CSO on 16 December 2019, only to receive an genertic acknowledgement reply message.

As of 25 December 2019, there are stocks available on the website for the purchased items (not out of stock). The waiting time is not appropriate (close to 4 weeks) when the stock are still available for online purchase. Furthermore, I continue to receive email newsletter about discounted prices for the PS4 console pack while waiting for an update. Hence, I do not understand how and why there are no updates to my order. If the delivery team is too busy, the relevant staff should have contacted me to offer the option for self-collection. However, there are no such follow-up (emails or calls) from COURTS.

I am disappointed with the incident and have sent an email to cancel the order and refund for the purchases on 20 December 2019, which I expect to take a long time to process (yet to receive any automatic reply to acknowledge my email).

I hope my case will be resolved soon. COURTS should review internally on how CSO and online department communicate with consumers so that there are lesser cases of non-delivery/long waiting time for an online order (based on the similar cases submitted on this website).

Regards,
Kurt45

Dear Jeff,

Thank you for your reply. I will like to update my case.

On 28 Dec 2019, the online team contacted me that the items are no longer available for sales and OOS. In the same email, the team indicated that the refund process would take 1-2 weeks.

Since the items are not available, I replied on 30 Dec 2019 to cancel the order and requested for refund. After 3 weeks without any acknowledgement of my refund request, I sent another email on 20 Jan 2020 for an update. Again, I did not receive any reply.

I do not know why I need to continue to wait any longer than the stipulated time provided by the team. The only reason I can think of is that my refund is yet to be processed because my email is not read by the online team.

Appreciate your assistance to the matter.

Regards,
Kurt

Courts Singapore Service

Courts Megastore Tampines- I visited on 20Dec at 9 plus to purchase a washing machine. Person serving us says to take our time and let him know once we've decided. We informed the salesperson of our decision and he confirmed the model and walked away, presumably to check stocks. However, he did not return. After 10 minutes, another salesperson walked by and asked if we needed help & I explained to him that the first person did not return and we're still waiting. A 3rd salesperson asked if we needed help and I said yes please, 2 people have come and gone, none came back. He then went on to serve another customer. We waited and no one turned up, it was already half an hour gone by, till a 4th person asked if we needed help. This time, she assisted and closed the sale immediately. I explained to her my situation and the 2nd salesperson re-appeared, apologised that he had to serve another customer. He explained that he went looking for the first salesperson and couldn't find him, he must've gone home.
What a terrible experience, it is beyond words. The salesperson should've explained that his work hours are over and send another of his colleagues to attend to us. But he just went home as it was time to get off work, but instead left us stranded, unaware of what's happening. This is so ridiculous that Courts employs such irresponsible people.
Unfortunately, I was unable to obtain the name of the one concerned.
Kindly look into the matter to prevent this from happening again.

Courts Singapore Bought ipad + pencil online 3 weeks ago and have not even heard from them about delivery

Courts Singapore has really been a huge disappointment. I ordered an iPad pro along with an Apple pencil on the 2nd of December (this was even before the 12.12 promotion) and since then, i have only received one email telling me that delivery/shipment has been delayed and i would be updated latest by 22/12/19. It has been two days since i was promised an update, and I have called the customer service team multiple times but consistently received the same answer answer - that it was the online sales team that was ignoring them and they can't provide me with an answer.

I understand that Courts probably has a huge volume of orders, but surely you have a better process than this right? Charging customers the money 3 weeks ago and not even attempting to proactively contact the customer in the weeks after that is just an unethical business procedure. Surely you would already have predicted the increase in sales volume no?

If Courts had promptly alerted me that there is no more stock and kept me updated, I would have been fine with it. The additional 3 weeks refund time is also acceptable. The only thing that bothers me is that they are keeping so many customers in the dark, collecting the money from them first when actually they do not even have the stock available. In my view, Courts is basically selling items that they do not have but cashing in from customers before that.

I hope that a nice resolution can be found from this. To be frank, I would just like an honest answer from Courts - is my item coming? If it is, how long will it take and can i just head down to a Courts store to pick it up? If not, then i will be glad to withdraw my purchase and buy it somewhere else.

I would strongly advise any other customers from buying from Courts online - only wished i read more online reviews prior to making the purchase. It has only been a whirlwind waste of time since making that purchase 3 weeks ago.

Hi Courts Singapore Customer Care team,

Appreciate you reaching out. My order number is [protected].
Wanted to specially say that having called the customer service hotline multiple times, i must say all the CSRs have been kind and pleasant to me, and tried their best to give me an answer, so thank you for trying to solve all these issues.

Courts Singapore Smart watch

I should have read the reviews here before ordering online with this company. I ordered on the 12th of Dec during a promotion and have received the same email telling that someone will call back to confirm the delivery date with 3-5 business days. And guess, now it's 22nd and no information or update at all. The customer service is completely useless. Was also wondering if I have called the right number. The CSR couldn't even find my record but told me that there is no stock (I didn't mention the product I ordered), so they are just BS.
The product is still available to buy on their online store. So I'm wondering if they cash in the money from customer without having stock. Their online store must have availability check since some products are marked as 'Out of Stock'. Does it mean they are cheating their customer by pretending to have stock?
I also tried to cancel my order but the CSR told me she will send an email to respective department and they will contact me. I also send them an email but no reply as well. Should have order with Amazon US and I would have the product by now (for a lower price even with adding GST).
My Tax invoice: No [protected]
I'm wondering if their new reshuffles Cxx management have ever looked at this website here.
