CouponCabin my account was closed without valid reason or explanation.

I am having huge issues with coupon cabin too. I had well over $100 in my account, I would refer everyone to use CC. and then suddenly they closed my account and accused me of fraud, said I severely violated their terms of use but would not tell me how. i assume its b/c i logged into my gf's account at my house as well, but we don't even live together and she has her own account. but somehow this was fraud according to CC. they won't even hear you out they just say your account is closed and they take all the money that was in your account. Never in my life have i been so insulted or treated this way by any company. It's not even the money, it's the principle at this point. To treat a loyal customer like this, who had been nothing but free advertising for them, is just shocking. Meanwhile their customer service is non existent, just one person that emails you copy and paste answers in the rudest way possible. I have heard they even threaten lawsuits against you. Clearly their "security" system is not very accurate yet to them you are not just guilty until proven innocent, you are GUILTY WITHOUT even the chance to prove innocence!

UPDATE: I finally received an explanation. See below.

"your account and another CouponCabin member accessed the same computer network. Both accounts also redeemed offers marked as having limited quantities for "Members Only", which is a severe violation of the CouponCabin Terms and Conditions"

So warning to anyone who uses Couponcabin, if someone else who has a Couponcabin account visits you and uses your wifi, you will both be banned for life! Absolutely the most bizarre thing I've ever heard.

Update by EddiePZ
Jan 22, 2019 10:05 am EST

and to be 100% clear, my GF NEVER claimed a "members only" coupon while at my house or while on my wifi either. I think CC just didn't want to pay out the money and they can use any random vague excuse to close your account. I had read horror stories like this and always assumed the users were somehow responsible, but no, they can do this to any honest user and claim their "network" detected violations and that's it! your money is all gone! one of the most absurd experiences I have ever had. The copy and paste reply above is all you will ever get.

Update by EddiePZ
Jan 22, 2019 10:03 am EST

except there weren't multiple accounts on my network, my GF lives in her own place and used her own network. Unless we were banned because I tried to login to her account? or because she used my wifi at some point? Which would be borderline absurd. That would basically mean you would get banned if another CC user even came to your house and happened to connect to your wifi? But I wouldn't know because all I ever get is these same copy and paste replies from CC. Their customer service won't even tell you what rule you supposedly violated.

They stole your money because they are thieves. I've been dealing with them since January. I was owed $76.86, which I earned lawfully and without violating their T&C. My account was terminated because I told a customer service rep that I had legal concerns regarding their lack of transparency. The CSR had said during that conversation that my account was in good standing. After terminating my account, the CSR said that I would receive a check for the money owed. I never did. I filed a complaint with the Indiana Attorney General's Office, and CouponCabin's lawyer lied to them even though I provided documentation that laid bare now nakedly blatant these lies were. Unfortunately, the AG's office doesn't have any teeth to do anything. However, it might make you feel good to file the complaint. Maybe enough complaints will trigger an investigation. Also, the lawyer responds to them, so at least you'd be making the company spend money to have their lawyer respond.

CouponCabin account terminated without explanation

I'm seeing a lot of these messages, so I doubt I'll get anything more than a useless, generic response from CouponCabin, but here goes. This morning at 12 am I received an email that payment method for my CouponCabin account had been changed twice and confirming that I made those changes (which I don't believe I had - I had changed my payment method once a few days prior). I tried to log in to my account and saw a message that it had been terminated. When I contacted customer service in confusion, I received an email threatening legal action and stating:

"By this notice, CouponCabin LLC hereby permanently terminates you from the CouponCabin.com cashback program for repeatedly and severely violating the CouponCabin Terms and Conditions, to which you have expressly agreed to multiple times."

Looks like my only recourse now is to contact CouponCabin in writing and wait 30 days for a response. I had $175 cash back pending in the next few weeks, and I have no idea how I might have violated their terms and conditions. I think at bare minimum, CouponCabin could quote the section of the terms and conditions which they claim I have violated, for which they are threatening legal action against me.

They flagged my account for what they deemed "unnatural activity." Additionally, due to this flagging, they would no longer allow me to receive my cashback electronically (through Paypal, for example) and would only send me paper checks. When I inquired about these problems, they refused to explain what this activity was or why it was flagged. All they...

CouponCabin scam, don’t trust.

I used Coupon Cabin over the 2018 holiday season and had $125 in pending cash back owed me. Coupon Cabin, without warning, cancelled my account due to "severe abuse of their policies" - as unbeknownst to me someone used my WiFi/IP address to also click on Coupon Cabin Member offers. They do not plan to issue me my earned cash back. This is hugely unfair and unethical. I would not have purchased these items at the prices I did without the cash back offers, so it really seems like they are stealing from me. From what I read online it seems as though this company spends a LOT of time scanning peoples' usage and canceling accounts on technicalities or even just the possibility or suspicion of a technical breach of their terms and conditions. Seems they cancel accounts frequently so they don't have to actually pay out cash back. It's ridiculous and unfair. I hope that some of these retailers rethink their relationships with this company. I'm completely appalled with Coupon Cabin.

CouponCabin amazon coupons

Cabin Coupons frequently offers amazing Amazon coupons for hundreds of dollars, but the catch is, there is only a limited number of coupons.

With that in mind for the last 3 months I have participated in the countdown until the coupons are offers and at the exact moment the offer is live, I select the offer. I then receive the immediate notification that the coupon is no longer being offered, they were all taken.

This happens each and every time I have tried to grab a Amazon coupon. When I complained about this to Coupon Cabin, I was told that the offers goes out to millions and are grabbed immediately.

I don't think so, I think its a scam and a fraudulent offer to attract users.

CouponCabin worst customer service i've ever experienced

My daughter introduced me to coupon cabin earlier this year. It wasn't long after I joined that I was awarded a $75 cash back on a $75 purchase at Walmart. I followed all the rules and restrictions, made my purchase and patiently waited for my cash back. (3 months) Ironically, just a few days before I was to receive my money, I was notified that my account was closed because I was in violation of their rules. When I inquired, they rudely accused me of having more than one account. I had no idea what they were talking about. Long story short, apparently when my daughter stopped by to visit one day she accessed her coupon cabin account but connected to the internet on my wifi. The very rude and snobby staff at coupon used this as a reason to cancel my account! Seriously? And just before I should have received my cash back. Then even cancelled my daughter's account...just before she was supposed to receive her cash back! Beware!

CouponCabin fake cash back scam

Made a large purchase with coupon cabin's claim of cash back. They logged my use of their coupon link but claimed a different mystery website claimed my cash back and there's nothing they can do. Complete and utter scam. They're paid for clicks, but don't pay their clients.

There are legit websites that do the coupon, discount and cash back thing. This is not one of those.

CouponCabin account status

i am new to coupon cabin and have signed up for an account; however they closed my account without informing me why until i attempted to log in. this is their reason for closing my account 'Our security system has identified your account as having a substantial and highly unusual number of returned or reversed orders in the short period of time that you have had an account with CouponCabin.'

what happened was that I buying gift cards from cardcash.com and cardcash.com processed my orders but then keep on cancelling because of a technical gitch in their system. I contacted cardcash.com to resolve the issue which they did. now I can buy gift cards from cardcash.com but coupon cabin closed my account because of the numerous 'reversed orders' which is not my fault. i want my account to be reopened as i did nothing wrong.

CouponCabin customer relations

This same thing happened to me as well. My daughter and I both have (had) accounts with Coupon Cabin. Apparently when she came over to visit one day she accessed their website through my Wifi. With no warning...they cancelled both our accounts. (Ironically just days before I was to receive my $75 cash back from a Walmart purchase made in July) coincidence? I don't think so. I found their responses to be vague and down right rude. Offered me $3.16. 😞 How insulting! I once promoted coupon cabin to everyone I know. Now I plan on using my social media accounts to warn my family, friends and coworkers. Worst customer relations I've ever experienced in my life!

CouponCabin cash back scam

I was looking for a coupon for Puffs facial tissues and came across CouponCabin's cash back deal ($2). After I submitted my receipt and got confirmation back that they had credited my account for the $2, I then find out you can't get the money until you reach a threshold of $7, meaning you HAVE to buy more items using their service before you get your rebate. That's underhanded if anything!

CouponCabin friend referral leading to his account deactivated

I visited a friend recently and I used to talk about my good experience with coupon cabin. So he asked me more about it, I log in to my account, show him around the site and he likes it. He made his own account and browse around until he found his New Member Offer. He took it to buy a good pair of shoes. The next thing he heard about the company is that they deactivated his account and forfeited his fair share from the purchase. He replied to find out why and they say there is 2 log in at his IP. Now, I didn't buy anything while tour him the website and Coupon Cabin just made it super frustrating to refer a friend. He has not used a cashback site before and definitely would have not made an account if he had not know how the site work, especially without a friend referral and tour. The company say they would reactivate his account but remove all new member offer. After hearing that, I told my friend to tell them he would simply return the items, delete the accounts for good. He doesn't have to be treated as garbage with general replies and lack of detail regarding this turmoil.

CouponCabin cash back not credited

I've had the same situation occur twice in the past couple months. I've run through the Coupon Cabin site, was promised 5% cash back (+8% "Bonus" cash back", as well as a limited time $10 bonus for purchases over $150. The first time, the credits never came through, and after several weeks, customer service apologized and said they could not get paid, therefore I could not get paid. Was a bit miffed, but trusted the reply. Now the same thing has happened again - with a different vendor. Now I'm led to believe that they either are making the money and just not living up to their commitments, or the more than one vendor is not fulfilling their commitments to Coupon Cabin - but if the later, why do they continue to offer cash back with that vendor? At this point, not worth the time or effort to go through Coupon Cabin and base purchase decisions on cash back that does not come through. Was a fan to begin with, now view the site as a scam.

CouponCabin theft scam company

I've been a CouponCabin member for more than one year, making them and me tons of money. I recently got a new wifi company and tried to log in to my account, USING THE SAME DEVICE AS ALWAYS, to make another purchase. I couldnt get in and then found out that it had been deactivated due to alleged "violations" that I did NOT commit. When trying to resolve what is obviously some kind of error by CouponCabin, Tyler Vice President of Customer Satisfaction responded to saying that I "severely violated" their terms and conditions. I said there must be some mistake. I explained I got new wifi never made multiple accounts or tried to cheat the system. I own 2 dogs thats my house hould and trust me they dont have accounts. I tried to say this over and over but they just lied and lied. Its obvious why... I had $150 in money that was going to post 3 days from when they banned me. So here is what happened. They cancelled my account pocketed the money and got huge profits since the company already reimbursed them. The money didnt post until 4 months after my purchase, now I cannot return it and have scammed an innocent loyal customer who barely makes it by in life out of money. Now I have a nice blender and some blinds I CANNOT afford and took a huge loss.

They refused to help me or explain what happened. They said they dont owe me any explanation and I forfeited all of my money once I did such severe violations (which of course I did not do)

I informed the company that I plan to take civil action to recover my money, I will be in contact with their legal department and have since been reporting them on the Internet as scams since if you read though here, this is a common occurrence. I cannot even email them since they banned me then said we wont respond anymore this email is for customers only.

Thank you for your response, but like I said I just got new internet. Maybe there is a chance this person used to have that IP address or lived at this house before me and when I activated the internet it registered as the same. You didnt pay out though you decreased the cashback values from $150 to $8 which is worthless. I tried to handle this privately with you guys and still will be happy to delete all negative reviews and posts. You guys were properly paid by the companies, but you are withholding my fair share to me. As I said I live with 2 dogs. That email doesnt belong to them and I cannot help you much on finding the accuser. That user never used my phone or laptop the 2 devices I always use to log in. So there has to be a confusion.

CouponCabin couponcabin

I have used CouponCabin for quite some time and never had a problem, until now.

On Sunday, September 2, 2018, I received an e-mail from CouponCabin informing me that the first 8 who clicked through would be offered $100 off a $100+ purchase at homedepot.com.

I monitored the time closely and at the appropriate time, I clicked through and was successful at obtaining the offer.

I had been looking for a lamp, so after a period of time, but prior to the offer's expiration, I found one that I wished to purchase. I clicked through the link several times to ensure that it was active.

I also read the fine print carefully. Disable ad blockers: check. Make sure cart is empty first: check. Home delivery only, no in-store pick-up: check.

Purchased the lamp and everything seemed fine.

On Tuesday afternoon, September 4, 2018, I attempted to login to CouponCabin to ensure that the offer had been processed properly. However, I was unable to login.

When password resets didn't work, I contacted the company. I was very quickly offered the following message, which made zero sense to me.

Hello, Brad.

Our security system has identified your account ([protected]@xxx.com) and multiple computer networks that your account has accessed (including but not limited to Internet Protocol address: as severely violating the terms and conditions of CouponCabin's cash back program. As a result, your account has been permanently closed and the cash back has been forfeited.

I asked for a further explanation but have not received one to date.

Meanwhile the lamp has been ordered and shipped. Not only is CouponCabin reneging on their $100 off of $100 offer, but they've closed my account, confiscated any cash that was in there, and refused (so far) to tell me why this action was taken.

I've recommended CouponCabin to many people, including to my girlfriend at the time that I "qualified" for this offer. Makes me feel kind of dumb for going out of my way to recommend them. Frustrating, annoying embarrassing and unwarranted.

I'll continue to update my experience and hopefully I'll get some resolution. But for now, I've got an expensive lamp on the way that I'm not even sure will be here before I leave for China, and now I have to hassle/fight/argue with CouponCabin and I don't think I did a thing that was wrong.

Let me also add, this is a very poor way to treat established customers. Deactivating their accounts without explanation and reneging on promises. If there's an issue, it should be politely discussed/explained. If there's a legitimate problem, make sure the customer understands the issue. If they have a reasonable explanation, be reasonable and understanding. Treating good established customers in this way is a poor business practice, and I suspect that even the principals at CouponCabin would agree with this.

Let me also add that I am a former police officer. Imagine that you are a good citizen and I arrest you. You ask why you are being arrested and I ignore you for the most part, but then I say, "You have been identified as severely violating the law!". You say, I haven't violated any law! What are you talking about? What law?!" I again reply, "I have identified you as severely violating the law!" When you press further, I say, "Please read the Penal Code. You have severely violated the law!". You say, "But what law? What are you accusing me of? Where do I look?" And I then tape your mouth shut.

That's what you did, in essence by refusing to give me a straight answer to my questions and by blocking my IP address and blocking me from Facebook. Did you consider something really wild like...responding to the questions/concerns in a reasonable way?

Look back at my e-mail messages and you'll see a common theme. I asked, "What did I do? I have no idea what you're talking about". And you'll also see that there was no specific reply by your company. Just ambiguity.

Good customers are hard to find. Good customers who go out of their way to refer you business are even harder to come by. When you have a customer for years, treating them in such a poor way and simply closing their account, without notification or discussion, when they a long-history of using your service without issues, is not an acceptable practice.

A better way to handle it would have been to not close an account and say, "According to our records, your CouponCabin account may have violated our Terms and Conditions for the following reasons. We understand that you might not have been aware of this, but it is important that you not use more than one device (or whatever). Future violations of our Terms and Conditions may result in the suspension or closure of your Coupon Cabin account, and neither one of would want that. We appreciate your patronage and loyalty. Feel free to contact us with further questions or you may simply refer to the link which fully details our Terms and Conditions".

Do you see how that accomplishes the same thing, keeps your customers (mostly) loyal and happy, and doesn't annoy people to the point where they're writing unflattering reviews? Do you see how it completely changes the tone? Not only that, but you actually make more money instead of having to fight with irritated former customers like me.

Update by Brad Willis
Sep 06, 2018 6:46 pm EDT

I was showing my girlfriend your company on a separate device in an effort to promote your service. I was talking you up so she would sign up. No good deed goes unpunished, right? Like many people, I am often logged in to various sites and services on separate devices.

The unprofessional way you've treated me, which includes ip address blocks, blocks from Facebook, etc. is highly inappropriate and extremely unprofessional.

And your customer service folks need to sharpen their communication skills. Not one of them was able to give me a straight answer as to what occurred, other than vague references to Terms and Conditions.

Further, if there is some issue, you might try politely informing a multi-year customer before rudely closing their account and confiscating their cash without notification. I ordered the product through your link days before a problem was noted. The item was purchased and shipped and the only way I even knew of an issue was by logging in and asking you why my password didn't work days later. That is completely unacceptable. Now I have to go through hassles with you and the hassles of returning the item ordered thanks to your negligence and poor customer service.

CouponCabin revoked cash back/ horrible service

I made a purchase using a 50 off 50 at Express. It worked until 5 days later when I visited my parents and connected to their wifi to watch Netflix. My account was deactivated without notice and I was falsely accused of creating multiple acounts because my sister has an account and lives with them. I contacted customer service. They didn't really listed and just accused me of cheating in a rude and condescending tone. I tried multiple times to explain the situation. They mis-quoted the terms saying that they say that regardless of residence I cannot connect to the same wifi. What the terms actually say are that two people can't access coupon cabin from the same ip adress in the same day. I didn't go on coupon cabin and my sister wasn't even there that day, so it should not have been a violation. Coupon cabin has done this to many people clearly out of an effort to steal promised cash back. After explaining what the terms actually say and how I did not violate them, the third "VP of customer service" I talked to said they would not help me and that I could send a letter if I wanted. They have now blocked my email. This company is a scam. They have no customer service and will steal from you. Don't ever do business with them. Luckily, I noticed the problem with my account on my own before the clothes came so I will be returning them and coupon cabin won't get a dime out of me. Others aren't as lucky. Stick with Ebates where they actually care and won't try to steal.

CouponCabin account deactivated and all cash back stolen by couponcabin based on lies

Like many others on this Complaint Board, I recently tried to log in to my CouponCabin account to make a purchase, only to see that my account was deactivated because of phony "violations" that did not happen. When trying to resolve what is obviously some kind of error by CouponCabin, "Shay M. Vice President of Customer Satisfaction" responded to tell me that I "severely violated" terms that I did not actually violate. I repeatedly tried to tell her that I did not violate anything and that there's been some kind of mistake, but she refuses to help me or restore my account and earnings. I had a decent amount of cash back in my account, earned honestly and in accordance with the terms and conditions of CouponCabin, that have now been stolen from me by this criminal company, and Shay refuses to help. Of course, there's no phone number to try to call this company, either. So it's their word against mine, and based on the responses I see that CouponCabin has given on this board to others like me who've been ripped off, it's obvious that this company's business model involves ripping off customers who've earned cash back honestly. This is criminal theft and a breach of good faith, and I plan to pursue this to the full extent of the law to hold this company accountable. The Better Business Bureau will be getting involved, as will the attorneys general of both my state and the state of Indiana where CouponCabin is based. I encourage everyone else to do the same so we can get this company shut down for criminal treatment of honest customers.

Update: The canned response I received from CouponCabin that you can see here, stating that "when accounts are identified as trying to get around these rules, we have no choice but to close those accounts, " only proves my point, and just goes to show how this company operates and treats its honest customers. Once again, I did NOT violate any terms or conditions, but CouponCabin doesn't even care to investigate the matter or try to make things right. If CouponCabin falsely accuses you of trying to "get around the rules, " then you're automatically guilty of these false claims, and the company will proceed to seize your cash back and shut down your account, as you can clearly see here. If this has happened to you, my suggestion is to contact a lawyer and get the authorities involved, as this is criminal behavior. To those who are considering signing up for CouponCabin, don't! There are plenty of other reputable cash back programs out there that won't falsely accuse you of committing "violations, " only to mistreat you when you try to get the matter resolved in a civil, decent matter. Do yourself a favor and AVOID CouponCabin like the plague.

CouponCabin access restricted

It says my account is restricted but I don't know why. I followed all their rules and did what I was supposed to. I bought items and received cash back for them like the company states. I had $3 I'm my account but hadn't transferred it yet and now when I go to log in to my account, the site won't let me have access. It seems like a scam that you try it out and start to accrue money but once you get too much, they block you.

CouponCabin this company is a scam! avoid it.

I'm done with this company as they've screwed me over for the last time.

I was one of 8 who clicked on a $50 offer and won. I immediately went to the vendor (carefully following all the rules in their fine print) to make a $225 purchase and fought like hell again to get my cash back to no avail. And, once again, they issued this canned response:

"It was reported to us that your order was credited to a different website and not CouponCabin.com. Like us, I'm sure you'd love to know who got credit for your order, but Overstock has a strict policy of not sharing this information with us. I'm sure you're frustrated, but please know that CouponCabin shares this feeling with you as we didn't receive our commission for your order either."

For any sizeable cashback, that is the response I get and I expect "Sam J. from Customer Service" will respond to this complaint with his same canned response: "Please remember that CouponCabin is your partner in cash back as we only get paid when you do. Our ability to provide members with cash back is contingent on us being compensated by the store. The store identified that another link was clicked by you before your order was placed. Most often this means that a coupon was used that was not from CouponCabin, that another coupon/shopping site was visited after clicking CouponCabin, or that a coupon was used that the store showed you as you checked out. Also, if your shopping cart was not completely, 100% empty prior to clicking from CouponCabin, cash back will not be earned."

CouponCabin is a scam and I suspect that they keep the cash from the vendor. Somebody needs to investigates this company or start a class action suit. I'm through with these cheating [censored]. They're not worth the headache.

CouponCabin account disabled in error

My account was closed due to violating the terms and conditions. After several emails asking what I did exactly, I was told another account on the same IP address redeemed offers for New Members only. I explained that was not possible as my internet is secure (unless it got hacked). I asked what email was used and they only gave me partial email. It's an email I have never heard of (Gmail when I use Yahoo). I've asked for them to research and see that the name, address and phone number associated are not for me. They will not respond. Account closed in error!
